After contacting so many other electricians who either flaked or showed up and couldn't do the job- Greg was there to do the damn thing. He was responsive in a timely manner and was very reasonable in terms of pricing. He hung my huge light fixture on my 20' ceiling (probably higher). He didn't charge me an arm and leg for the scaffolding rental- other electricians wanted to charge me at an unreasonable price. Gave me a quote via text; other electricians wanted an on site quote. And he was able to squeeze me in before the holiday! It took longer to set up the scaffolding than it did to actually hang up the fixture but all in all, I'm super happy with the results. Definitely won't be the last time I'll do be doing work with Greg. His reliability is top notch. Thank you Greg!

I ended up using someone else because he was booked and busy. Having said that Greg called me back the same day I called and since he could not see his schedule, he promised to call the next day and he did!! I have no doubt he could have done the job, it's just I couldn't wait - it was only about a week but hey was in my redecorating zone. I give 4 stars because he did respond and kept his word and that is really important to me.

Thanks to Greg and his partner for installing my chandelier today. He came in earlier than the scheduled appointment and was able to complete the job in an hour. He even checked the connection to one of my room ceiling fan because I wanted to install another light fixture. He discovered that the wiring connection was done incorrectly and recommended to rewire when he comes back from his vacation.
Overall I gave Greg 5 stars for his work!

New to Brentwood and being a homeowner. We've got lots of projects to take care of but the one thing that had to get done ASAP was take down and replace a rather ugly (in my opinion anyway) ceiling fan that was in the center of our living room and replace it with a modern looking light fixture. It was so super important to get a reliable electrician since this is the center of our home and one of the first things you see when you walk in. Greg was very responsive from letting us know how to measure our ceiling height, to providing a bid and then scheduling an appointment.
The chandelier we chose was not an easy installation-not only was it going to hang from a high sloped ceiling, but it also had a complicated design. Greg arrived exactly on time during his appointment window and did an amazing job. As you can see from the pictures, making this piece look level and dealing with the way it hangs was not easy!
He also took a look at some other work we're considering but not ready for yet, which was truly above and beyond.

Greg (and Jared!) didn't just install a chandelier for me...they created a work of art! Thanks to them, I now love my formal living room and feel as though I've walked into a fancy hotel lobby every time I walk through my front door!

Greg was very responsive from the beginning, and I only had to wait a couple of weeks for an appointment. He and Jared not only arrived on time on installation day, but 15 minutes early. The job and actual chandelier itself that I presented to them were complex and by no means straightforward. To further complicate things, the ceiling I was asking them to install it on is 15 feet tall and slanted. I wouldn't have blamed them if they had walked right back out the door!! However, a quick two hours later the job was totally done (a dimmer switch was also installed during that short period of time), everything had been cleaned up, and I was left a VERY happy customer!

The final product was exactly what I hoped it would be, and actually exceeded my expectations. Greg's rates are VERY reasonable for the quality of work provided. I 100% recommend Greg's Electric, and will absolutely be using them for all of my future electrical needs.

Greg responded to my initial text immediately, and gave me an extremely reasonable price to replace and hang a light fixture on a vaulted ceiling. Other service providers were priced much higher. Greg was able to set up an appointment within the week. He came with another associate (Jared), and they were both able to get the light installed quickly and without any problems. Very professional, knowledgeable, and customer focused as they met my wife's specific request at the height that she wanted the light hung.

Greg (the business owner) is a great find, if you need electrical work performed. You won't be sorry.

Well it was 3 years since I worked Greg, I called back then, he was on Vacation in Hawaii, and was able to take of my issue via phone. Didn't cost me a dime.
Called again with electrical outlet problems since I moved in to my home, always suspected the previous resident had done some do it yourself repairs (very amateur)
Anyway, got an appointment setup within 1 day. Greg and Jared arrived, after the greeting with our dog, they went right to work. Have to say their troubleshooting expertise is impressive. Quickly moving on to the next step to solve the problem, I watched Greg & Jared work together like a symphony. 2 hours later, all fixed. His prices are very reasonable. Ladies! Gather 'round, I bring good news and tidings!

Greg may very well be the world's greatest electrician, but he may also be a glimmer of hope to all the men of our kind.

I submit, for your consideration, the following evidence:
I called. The phone rang thrice and Greg answered.
I got two sentences out, along the lines of, I thought I blew a fuse drying my hair yesterday but..., before Greg interrupted me.
I resisted the urge to demand his supervisors name and instead decided to humor him.
... but now none of your bathroom outlets work? He asked.
I braced for the inevitable mansplaining I get any time I have to call a home pro. Yes, but I've already reset all the fuses in both panels and still no power.
Greg wanted to know how old my home was.
About fifteen years? I shrugged.
He went on to suggest I try one more thing before making an appointment with him. It sounded real dumb but I decided to at least investigate and what do you know - his trick totally worked! He really MUST know what he's talking about! What d'ya know?

And just like that, a man was finally right about something.

I had a very poor shoddy electrical installation by a nothing short of a buffoon! I didn't know the extent of danger I was put in until I called Greg's Electric. It was late Friday afternoon when I contacted Greg. When I explained issue and told him where I lived (55+ community), he put aside his end of week plans and came right over! I am so very grateful! Not only did the electrical get repaired, he found the sloppy, faulty installation that put my house in jeopardy of fire! The previous person had also installed a commercial, huge junction box on my bathroom wall which I questioned him as to why - it looked like a small safe. He was FIRED! Greg had same reaction I did and kindly removed it! He had all electrical repaired and in safe, good working order within two hours! He was a true blessing to me. In addition, because drywall needed repair based on work done by the prior person, Greg put me in touch with Ron Brown, another fine example of pride in workmanship! Ron came to my home Sunday morning, repaired drywall and put me back on track. These two gentlemen restored my home and my faith in hiring people to help! I could not be more happy!! Greg installed a ceiling fan in my bedroom; I have not had overhead lighting or a fan since I moved in almost two years ago. I profess that I am a happy person today directly because of this man. I went looking for an electrician on Yelp last night. The only electricians in Tracy all seem to only be primarily concerned with Electric Charger installation for Teslas. No reviews on anything but that specific topic. No diversity. I saw Greg's business profile and gave him a call today after reading many glowing reviews last night.

I could tell he was busy but stopped to talk and ask specific questions. He instructed me to perform a very specific task and the specific location I could find it. It fixed my issue!

I am SO appreciative. Money is tight now. I am positive if I had called anyone else they would have come out and charged me something ridiculous. That is the current state of the world, screw each other over for as much as you can get. This man has given me hope that humans still can be helpful and compassionate and giving. I have not experienced anything like this in a very long time.

When I do develop another electrical issue I will surely pay him to remedy it.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Complete jerk from the moment he arrived. I gave him the benefit of a doubt at 1st, maybe he was having a tough day (tho he arrived @10am for the service... not much time beforehand to have a bad day). I ended up having to ask him to leave as he was cussing me out (and I admittedly reciprocated) and he took my broken breakers with him! I told him to give them back but he refused because I'm a renter and don't own the home. He ended up having to drop them off to my property manager so I can have then for a replacement reference.

Greg is the electrician you need to call. I had Greg switch out an outlet and extend it about 4 feet and his work and efficiency was excellent. 6 months later I had an issue that was created by my pool builder with a breaker that was not only installed incorrectly, but it was the wrong breaker for the job. Because Greg has to be one of the nicest people you can encounter he talked me through the job that needed to be done over the phone and now I'm pleased with how my pool equipment has been running. We have rooms that are/were not wired for ceiling fans. We need them to keep cool in the summer! Greg's Electric had good reviews so gave him a call. Needed only two ceiling fans installed. Called and messaged him and got our appointment. He and his partner came in, asked where we wanted the fans, asked to see the attic entrance and double checked we had our new fans that we wanted installed. That is all he needed. Greg was nothing but exceptional in his communication and pricing. I needed a Tesla wall charger installed, Greg had the best prices from the bids that I got. Originally, got 40 amps for a standard Model 3 but come to find out that the Model 3 will not give us the mileage we need unless we drive 65 and below with no AC. Upgraded to a Model Y and Greg came out to change to a 60 amps for the wall charger. Again, reasonably pricing, clean installation and cleaned after himself. Will be calling Greg for any of my future electrical needs.

I found Greg on Yelp and he had great reviews so I called him. He was going to take the day off but when I called him he told me he would come anyway. He got here early, even help me pull out my heavy refrigerator to get to my GFI, and was able to diagnose something no one else was. My issue was coming actually from an outside plug. He is super nice, the price he quoted was very reasonable, and I couldn't recommend anyone more. I've had a problem for quite a while and he knew exactly what the issue was!

Mr Greg was awesome and very thorough. He was early to the scheduled appointment which I really appreciate. He called the night before to confirm the appointment. He did his inspection on the issue and was fixed in literally less than an hour.

My mom had a further question for him and he really took the time to explain what was needed which was less than my mom thought. He said he wanted to make sure the information we received was the right info and not just about the money.

I tried to do something myself. Made a mistake and got really nervous. It was about 7pm. I called Greg and explained what happened. He said I was safe but could tell I was a worried still. He had one of his employees come by in record time and the issue was quickly fixed. Not sure what just occurred.....but I wrote to him via Yelp to inquire about a job. Due to my job and the hours I work I asked my wife to call him... my wife had been trying to reach him via phone multiple times.. left voicemails... no response to her calls. I called today and got in contact with him... explained I had an electric water heater, a safe that required an outlet, etc. and that I needed another outlet in my garage. He asked me very specific questions which I wouldn't know (I'm not an electrician) such as did I need a dedicated plug? Can I run off the other lines? I don't know....Never have done electric work....which was why I was calling.... He then stated that he would need to come out and take a look at the job to see what needed to be done. I said Ok and he said Ok and then he hung up... without setting a time, arranging anything... I mean... his 5 star reviews made it seem like he was reliable and a good choice... Not so sure what I did wrong... or if I caught him at a bad time... Guess I'll inquire elsewhere. 2 stars because I'm not sure if there was some lack of communication on my end... but he just didn't seem to want to be bothered... by my wife or myself.

Had Greg and brother(?) installed 4 ceiling fans around March 2019, they were on time on the appointment time schedule (I would call ahead as good electricians are always in demand and schedule could be about a week or so ahead) ..in short 4 ceiling fans, with wall control with fan assembly, then installation took less than 2 hours, It would have taken me a day each fan, probably a few shock here and there so their service is worth it.

Good thing I had it installed before the weather got hot and this guys are great and friendly!

Greg's Electric was excellent ! He updated our home with the latest carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. Both gentlemen wore mask. When a couple of the lights on the detector in the rooms would not turn green, he quickly did some troubleshooting and found out he had to fix wiring in our attic and let me tell you, getting up there is not an easy task. I'll just say this, you couldn't pay me to go up there. Thank you for going that extra mile to ensure that the installation was perfect. Definitely will use them for future projects !

Greg was awesome! I had a breaker switch in my pool fuse box completely melt! (Luckily I caught it before it caught on fire). Greg came out the next day, worked with my schedule (I work night shift and requested an afternoon spot.)

I found Greg's and I'm glad I did. Other places wanted to charge me just to come out and look, gave rough estimates of more than what Greg charged, so I had Greg do more items to complete. Now we are up to code thanks to Greg and his associate. We will definitely use his services again when needed. He is very professional, upfront and honest.

We come home from vacation to find that the power in our living room is out. My husband calls one business and they cannot come out until late in the week, so off to Yelp I go! I find all the great reviews on Greg's Electric and decide to give it a shot. I call Greg and he offers to come out asap. Greg arrives shortly and gets to work immediately. After some troubleshooting he finds an outdoor outlet that had shorted and caught fire while we were gone. He was able to get everything fixed so we not only have power back on in our living room, but also outside as well (which we haven't had since buying the house).

We already have some future work planned-- which, of course, we will be calling Greg for. He is personable (and educational!), quick, and does great work. The best part is that you don't feel taken advantage of after everything is said and done.

WORST PROFESSIALISM EVER! I contact this company to simplify the light switches in the master bedroom. Arrived in time with another worker. The owner Greg was verbally condescending and abusive to the co-worker from the minute they arrived until the work was completed, loudly arguing and treating the man like a child. I have never in my life experienced such disturbing, embarrassing and unprofessional behavior. I am frankly astonished by his Yelp high rating, the reason for selecting. I debated whether to ask them to leave but feared that another electrician may not be able to decider what had already been worked on. Shameful.

I had an outlet that smelled like it was hot/burning, & it made me super nervous with the recent fires & heat wave so I called another local electrician, & got sent straight to voicemail with no call back. I called Greg's Electric after never receiving a call back from another local electrician. Greg answered the phone and I explained my issue of some GFCI outlets which died and scheduled an appointment for the following day.

The day of the appointment Greg arrived early and fixed the outlets in what seemed to me as record timing. He even fixed an additional outlet unrelated to the original call.

After this experience with Greg's Electric I'll be using them in the future for my electrical needs big and small.

Not sure what went wrong. I chose Greg because of the great reviews. He was prompt to respond to my job proposal. However, he did not recognize the job he signed up for, which was to install a bathroom light/exhaust fan combo. I sent him pictures of the the fixture and left it in the box so he could view it when he came to install the exhaust fan housing. To my surprise, he thought it was just a light and installed only a junction box. When I told him of the error, he came back the next day and installed the exhaust fan housing. Only problem, he installed it off center, making the install of the fixture look horrible. His response to my concern was that how often to you look at the ceiling in the toilet. The guy he recommended to do the drywall was able to center the fixture beautifully. I told Greg I would install the light portion of the fixture post drywall work. However, when I went to install the light, all of the screws were missing. I called Greg to ask him about the missing screws and his response was essentially I don't know what happened to the screws because I only installed the fan Rather than offer to help me finish the job he was paid to do, he chose to distance himself. Not what I would expect from any professional. Choose wisely when hiring a contractor.

I called Greg about a month ago because my smoke alarms would not stop beeping after changing the batteries. I called him late in the day and he came out 15 minutes later! I was surprised that he was willing to come out so quickly, especially with such short notice. I was relieved since I had been dealing with the constant beeping all day. I only had 3 new smoke alarms at the time. He switched them out for me quickly and advised that it was a good idea to replace the rest at the same time. He offered to come back the next day once I had more smoke alarms. I ended up buying a smoke/carbon dioxide detector which he moved to the hallway of my home where he had already put a new smoke alarm. Greg is AMAZING!!! I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat! I called him because our fridge and heater had stopped working. He was booked but because it's winter and he knew how important it was to have the heater on and also have a functioning fridge, he promised to call after his day was over and stop by. As promised he did call and came by and fixed everything! My mum was home when he came and so he took the time and called me to explain everything to me over the phone (since I'm the one taking care of my mum and her house). The next day the heater stopped working again. It was after his business hours but I thought I'll give it a shot and call him, maybe he can give me some pointers over the phone. He didn't! Instead he offered to drive by AFTER HOURS at no additional charge!!!!!!!!! He tightened the switch with a screw (apparently it was loose) and problem solved!!!! Had him come out today and they did a great job, even told me what I did wrong to shut down power to half my house. They are good guys, give them a call.

Job done! Called Greg to request an estimate on an outdoor fan installation, he said he could swing by the same morning of my call and within an hour of him arriving my fan was up and running, so I couldn't be happier with the turn around time! Reasonably priced as well. I chose him from other Yelp reviews and I'm happy I did. Don't hesitate in calling.

Had a problem with my ceiling fan that Greg installed about 6 months ago, He came back out at the time that was promised and had it working in no time and did NOT charge me a service call which I expected. Will continue to use this company.

Greg installed my 240V L2 charger for my electric car today and it turned out great. I had a place in mind but after listening to his suggestion, I went with it. I am glad I did because it turned out better than I expected. He know what he is doing. I am really happy with it and my wife is glad I didn't do the work myself. Thank you Greg.

Greg put up Christmas tree lights for us on our 2-story home. His price was fair, and he did a great job. We found him to be professional and personable. While he was at our house, my husband asked him about some electrical work, and he was able to do the work on the spot. Greg will be taking our lights down after Christmas, and we will likely hire him again next year for the lights, as well as for future electrical jobs.
