I have fairly simple and straightforward wiring work that I need done to my house. I described the work to them, and they replied with a quote, here on Yelp. I checked with a couple other companies, and then asked them to go ahead and they said they'd confirm the work with the electrician and have an invoice written up for me to sign that day.
But they didn't. I asked the next day (a Saturday) and they said they'd have it for me on Monday. They didn't send it on Monday. I figured they were just really busy, but when I poked them a week later I got no response. I never received an invoice or a reply.

These guys clearly have little/no respect for clients' time. Amazingly, this appears to be a problem they've had for years, according to prior reviews, and have not changed at all. I skipped a weekend trip with my partner that I'd been looking forward to because Green Concepts said they could come and do an estimate for me this Saturday. Saturday morning I got a text to reschedule to Sunday because of snow (a reasonable excuse). Sunday came and they 100% ghosted me -- zero communication, no response to my texts, no one showed up to do the estimate. Then, Monday they texted as if nothing had happened, no apology, no nothing. Entire weekend wasted. Don't waste your time with these guys.

Derek did a fabulous job with our main panel replacement. He was responsive, very detailed with the estimate, and straightforward with me explaining what was worth doing or not worth doing. Green Concepts coordinated with PSE well, even though PSE didn't show up on time Derek took the time to wait and made sure the job got done. City inspections also went smoothly. Finally, the retrofitted bathroom fans are super quiet, and required no drywall repair. Nice work!

I should have paid closer attention to the negative reviews here on Yelp. One of my neighbors had recommended this company for an outlet installation, so I went ahead and setup an appointment for yesterday morning, even though I saw the many ghosting reviews on Yelp. Owner/electrician Derek never bothered showing up. I sent several texts and called him several times, but received absolutely no response. I wasted my time yesterday as well as the last month since the appointment was made close to a month ago and I could've found another electrician in the meantime.

The only positive was the scheduling coordinator/assistant Monica. She was cordial and responsive through her e-mails, but she doesn't make up for the lack of professionalism of the owner. I would stay away from this company if you value your time.

Trust is the foundation of any good relationship and I trust this company and their representatives.

I bought a new hot tub but didn't have enough power behind my panel to support the unit. Cart before the horse

I asked several companies to provide bids. This was a laborious process so please trust this recommendation as I built a pretty thick spreadsheet on electricians. I went with this company due to previous reviews, price, speed of service and how I felt about them when speaking and meeting with them.

Green Concepts provided a fair price and a clear direction on an electrical plan of action.

This was not a small job. Wall was opened up on the inside and the outside of the home, permits required, digging across the lawn so it was all pretty messy but this was required to get the job done.

Monica (in the office) was kind and communicative regarding scheduling and providing the written bid.

Derick (the electrician) showed up when he said he would show up and he worked his tail off getting the job done. In addition, he corrected a few issues from previous electricians. He also installed a light over my dining room table. Last, he was willing to work on the 4th of July. What?? Talk about getting the job done. Derrick knows what he is doing and he can do it fast.

I have not had the final city inspector inspect the work that was complete but without hesitation I will absolutely use Green Concepts in the future for my electrical needs.

Should have trusted other reviews when they mentioned the electrician did not show up. We were given an appointment window and we waited for the entire appointment window and then some. Tried calling them and messaging on yelp, no response. Don't waste your time with this company.

Beware. I contracted for complete home re-wiring job and now am struggling to get the job completed. I paid in full (my bad judgement) before completion and now am struggling to get the final work scheduled and finished. Very disappointed I can't get return phone calls.

I am trying to give owner Derek and his scheduler Monica the benefit of the doubt and will update this review once I see how this plays out.

Didn't show up for the appointment. Did not call to say they weren't coming. Did not respond to repeated emails and calls after the missed appointment window. Emailed the next day to say I could call the owner directly if I wanted to reschedule. I asked why I would reschedule if I have zero faith that the guy will show up or even let me know if he's not coming. Answer was, 'I understand your frustration.'

My response, 'well if the owner of this business cares so little for his customers that he doesn't let them know when he's not coming I won't be a customer.'

I see other people have had the same issue.

My recommendation is not to schedule an appointment with this company.

I'm in the process of remodeling my garage to build a small workshop, and found myself needing to install a subpanel along with some additional circuits for some 120 and 240V receptacles. I have some experience and familiarity with electrical work, and decided that I wanted to do the work myself. I pulled a permit with the city, but before beginning the work, I wanted to make sure that my plan was sound.

I called various different electricians, but no one really seemed interested in consulting, even though I was willing to pay them for their time. I was referred to Derek, at Green Concepts, and got really lucky. Derek lives in the same city as me and just so happen to have some time to come take a look at my project and plan. I had a few questions that I was looking to get answered, which would have probably taken 30 minutes to answer, but instead Derek spent over an hour and a half going into detail about how he would perform the work if he was doing it and what materials I would need. He even took the time to discuss and answer some unrelated electrical questions that I had for another upcoming project!

Derek is honest, and from our conversation, I can tell that he does good work. When we were all done, I asked Derek what he would charge for this project, and his price was very fair. I highly recommend Derek and his team for your electrical needs.

I was really hoping that the reviews about the company ghosting clients were just a few upset customers. I'm sorry to say that after great PRE-appointment communication, the time window for the appointment came and went without any FYI about them being delayed or that the appointment was rescheduled. When I reached out an hour past the time range to see if they were still coming, I was given the owner's #. I called and texted without response. I know it's tough to work during covid, but a head up/alert that you are no longer coming is about respecting everyone's time.

Green Concept was incredibly responsive and got us a competitive estimate and booked into their schedule within less than a couple of days after we called, which was amazing. Derek was friendly, professional, thorough and had an awesome attitude about him. Derek helped us out by putting outdoor flood lights by our garage and driveway which used to get pretty dark at night. He did it all seamlessly without even a scratch on any of the siding or walls and was in and out in no time. I would call Green Concept in a heartbeat if I needed anything else!

I honestly didn't even stop to get any info about what makes them green, exactly, which is weird--because that's typically the kind of thing I'm curious about. But they provide great electrical service, and that's all I needed this time around.

A couple nights ago, a circuit failed in my house, and no amount of unplugging stuff and flipping the breaker would bring it back. This circuit includes not only the lights for the main living area in the house, but included the exterior security lights. I'm willing to play ball with companies that can't drop everything to come help, but this was something worth taking care of fairly quickly.

One thing about this experience was how many electricians it took to find one who could come help. One company said they could send somebody over in 3 weeks. Nobody else could get out any sooner than in a few days, but a few of them recommended each other as solid backups, and that's how Green came into the conversation.

Their office is really friendly and nice and on top of things, and set up an appointment for the following day. Not exactly perfect, but certainly better than anyone else could muster up. Young cat came out and figured out the problem quickly--we had an old outlet that was worn out to the point that it had shorted out, even gotten a little scorched and melty. Needless to say it was a huge relief and a bit of a fright all at once to know that it had not caused a fire.

Turns out that the guy doing the work was the owner, and he checked other outlets and validated that everything was ship-shape. The work took him no more than 30 minutes, but he took time to patiently answer questions and confirm everything--then only charged for the 30 minutes it took to do the work. Kirkland is a little farther than I would have expected to need to call for someone to come out, but I'm confident that Green is worth calling again and again.

I got several bids for a dedicated appliance outlet I needed added. Derek came out in a timely fashion, explained what needed to be done, and provided a reasonable estimate for the work.

I was able to get the work scheduled promptly, and Derek did a great job completing the work as discussed as well as cleaning up sheetrock waste from the project. He was also helpful and courteous in responding to some general questions I had about my circuit breakers.

I will definitely look to Green Concepts again next time I need electrical work.

Green Concepts was a no show twice in the same week for the same job.

I made an appointment with Green Concepts to come install a chandelier with my house for Monday at 10:00 am (with a two hour window, of course). It wasn't until about about 2 pm that I got a text message from the electrician that he wasn't going to make it because his previous appointment had run late. I would have preferred to have known earlier (like say at 11:30 am when he realized he wasn't gonna make the two hour window they gave me), but he was apologetic and offered to reschedule for Thursday at 9 am, so I agreed.

Thursday morning came but no electrician, so about 11:30 am I texted him to ask if he was gonna show. It is now Saturday and I still haven't received a response. The first time at least he contacted me after the fact to apologize, but the second time he was a no show with no so much as a text or a call. I think I am being ghosted by my electrician which is definitely not what I would look for in a professional I want to hire to do work on my house.

Excellent work from quote, to electrical, to front office!

Review:
Because Derek is the sole electrician you can trust that these reviews are relevant to his actual work. With other companies you don't know who is going to show up.

He was able to find issues that previous quotes had missed and give a complete quote up front, whereas others had to come back and requote because of issues with existing panel.

Work was good, price was good, and he even stayed late in order to get the sauna ready before I left the next day for work travel!

Green Concepts previously installed the outlet for Tesla and did a fantastic job at a reasonable rate.

Today, in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, we had a problem with an unrelated electrical problem. Green Concepts not only responded to us promptly, walked me through how to address the issues over the phone, and provided helpful additional information to avoid similar issues in the future.

I highly recommend this company and have no doubt I will used them for all my electrical needs in the future!

We'll certainly be calling the competent team at Green Concepts for any electrical work down the road.

We received bids from several contractors before choosing Green Concepts to replace our electrical panel. The other contractors offered unreasonable estimates, seemed dishonest, and even tried to guilt trip us into taking out a loan to pay an exorbitant amount for a complete rewire! Derek, on the other hand, was reasonable, honest, knowledgeable, personable, and he never tried to upsell us.

Derek arrived a little on the late side for both the estimate and the install, but that's probably because he takes his time with his customers, and goes the extra mile. He's super helpful and patient. He spent a lot of extra time showing me how to do things the right way when I wire up the thermostats and heaters, and even gave us some ideas of how to set up the patio lighting.

It's good to know we finally have someone we can trust for all of our electrical work.

I needed to get an electrical panel replacement and a 50A circuit install, and Green Concepts quoted me the best price amongst three bidders. They came out completely prepared for the project, having everything needed to do what I asked them to do.
But they did so much more than that, installing a Generator plug and override switch on the panel, adding additional ground wires, and nail plates to the framing that wasn't done 45 years ago. The final product is clean and neat, and more than meets my expectations.
I would use them again, and recommend them for your work.

Called several times and spoke to a gal to schedule an appointment. Took several attempts because they said the electrician would need to call me to get a clear idea of the job scope before they could schedule. Never got a single call from the electrician. Finally a month after the first call and several calls with the receptionist, she just schedules the electrician to come out on a Monday between 12-2pm. I clear my day to de home for this. Get a text around 2pm from the electrician that he is running late and should be closer to 3:45pm. Wrote him back that I can't be home past 2pm and let me know about rescheduling.

Never got a text follow up or call back from this company.

I requested a quote through Yelp to have receive estimates from electricians in my area to have a NEMA 14-50 plug in installed in my garage in anticipation of our new electric vehicle. I reviewed other quotes from competitors but none were as low and reasonable as Green Concepts. Green Concepts came out and installed my NEMA 14-50 in less than an hour. The electrician was friendly and professional. The cost for the job was extremely reasonable. I'd highly recommend these guys!

I had Green Concepts come out to troubleshoot the worst kind of electrical problem, an intermittent one.

They showed up on time, did a through analysis and explained their conclusions and how they arrived at these. They were very methodicall and and not just trying to sell me more than I truly needed.

They seem to be a smaller company that is focused on the customer father than supporting a lot of overhead.

I was very satisfied and will use them again.

Called and fully explained what we needed - old, hard-wired oven unhooked from electrical and a box installed to plug in new oven. No one available for a week. I understand that. Electrician comes out (after calling to get specifics about the job; seemed like the dispatch never told him what he was doing for us). He then said he only had time to give us a quote because it's a 3-hour job, and complains about all the extra work he'll have to do (I assume to justify the incredibly high quote) and even has the gall to try to upsell us to brand new copper wiring throughout for another $500.

My wife took the day off from work to get this job done. We wanted it done that day and we would have paid his exorbitant price if he's been willing to stick around and do the job, just so we could finally get our new oven installed (which we had rescheduled for the next day and then had to cancel).

Instead, we got another quote (about 1/3 the cost) and are waiting another two weeks to go with an electrician we feel good about using.

I'm so sad to leave this review. They were so professional and helpful last time we used them in January of 2017 but this go-round was a much different story. My husband set up an appointment and so I stayed home all day waiting... and waiting... and waiting... I called the appointment line probably 4 times and left a few different messages asking when the tech was coming. I never received a callback and they never bothered to show up or call to reschedule. I don't mind if you're too busy to do the work, but please don't say you're coming when I've got a sick kid and a new baby and no electricity in our bedrooms. That's not cool.

Working with Green Concepts has been the easiest and best experience I've had with any electrical contractor. Derek bid the job and completed the work. Monica scheduled the job and provided a range for starting times. When my schedule changed, Derek arrived right on time so I could make a vet appointment that morning. Derek was great throughout the process, and took the time to fix a light outlet I'd broken, and worked with me to get a generator outlet installed before a storm hit.

You know that slightly jealous feeling you get when your friend has the perfect mechanic or contractor? With Green Concepts, I feel like I've found my own best electrical contractor. Looking forward to working with them again soon.

I called last week and spoke with a very friendly woman. I described my problem and she scheduled me for an appointment the next day. I asked if I could get a phone call 15 minutes before the technician arrived.
The next day I got the call as requested and met Derek at my house. He was very friendly and courteous.
Derek worked to diagnose my problem - it took a while to check several things until he was able to find the problem and then fix it. I was thrilled because a previous electrician told me the house would have to be rewired.
I thought the price for the work done was very fair. Derek was very nice - and knows what he's doing.
I will call Green Concepts for all my future electrical needs.

I reached out via Yelp for estimates and Green Concepts responded with a straightforward and reasonable quote. This is a mom & pop shop, and despite some hiccups in fulfilling scheduling, Dereck is knowledgeable and prompt. Both the initial troubleshooting and subsequent repair to bypass an unnecessary relay controlling my baseboard heaters and installing a mainline thermostat was carried clean & effectively, and the workmanship is reasonably backed by the company. Would highly recommend and hire again in the future.

Some people mentioned poor scheduling and communication, and that's what's happening to me right now. Appointment today ETA 11am-1pm, and now it's past 2pm and nobody showed up. I sent an email this morning to confirm; no response. Called them at 1pm; the lady just told me it's a little behind without any details. Called them at 2pm; voicemail. They should have contacted me proactively and apologized for delay.

I may update the review if anybody actually shows up and does a good work, but so far, it's terrible. Anybody who thinks other people's time is free is terrible.

Edit: An electrician arrived around 4pm, 3hrs later than the end of the ETA window I was given at the time of appointment. He was nice, knowledgeable, and answered a bunch of questions that I made while he was doing his work. The work was an installation of NEMA 14-50 outlet, but he also fixed an issue on another breaker that a previous contractor installed. The quality of work was decent and the cost was the cheapest of all contractors that I asked for a quote. Overall, I'm satisfied with the work and I would probably use them again, but still the scheduling and communication could be improved.

We wanted to have a chandelier and bathroom fan installed. It took a month to get an estimate, and a month to schedule the work - but the office was very upfront about their schedule so no surprises there. I only give them 3 stars because for both small projects, there was unanticipated work that we're left to schedule with a separate company. For the chandelier, we still have a hole in our ceiling from the previous one. For the bathroom fan, it's only hooked up into our attic, not the roof.

Given the time it took to schedule the work and the unanticipated remaining work, I likely wouldn't use them again.

Had some issues with some of the outlets not working, at all. Derek came out and was very upfront with expectations. After about an hour, not only was the problem found it was fixed. Derek also was willing to give me advice on ideas I had regarding the house. When it is time for upgrades I will definitely be calling Green Concepts for the work.

I highly recommend Green Concepts. Derek helped me on a complete remodel in Somerset (Bellevue) in 2017, that I as a home owner did all the general contract work. He had some great recommendations, was very professional and the permitting process with the city was effortless all because of him. Working around the framers, drywallers and gas/plumbing, Derek was always willing to help navigate through unexpected curveballs to help create a less frustrating environment for all of us. The electric baseboard heaters in my living and dinning room had stopped working. I was so worried it was going to cost a bit to discover what the problem was and fix it. I was worried because our handyman (trust me...he is ANYTHING but handy) couldn't figure it out and his electrician friend couldn't figure it out either...so I thought it was a HUGE issues. After 30 minutes Derek had it figured out, fixed, explained the issue, and had everything put back together within a hour.

He is great and is truly interested in HELPING his customers rather than wasting their time or money. If you want someone you can trust and rely on - Derek is your guy! If we have any additional electrical issues in the future, he has our business for life!

I had a set of small electrical issues. Derek came out & assessed them & the following week delivered vs the estimate. He replaced 3 switches, an outlet & a thermostat (including programming the thermostat) & firmed up the connection of an existing outlet in one hour. He was 20 min late vs his 9-11 time window, but worth my wait.

Derek was partnered with my HVAC company for a new A/C installation. I could not have been happier with the recommendation and the work performed.

I had some concerns about placement, aesthetics, and future needs / options; he answered all my questions with options, advice, and recommendations. He came out to pre-inspect and review the job, discussed the best way to handle the work, described everything in detail, and came underbid for the final pricing. Handled are permitting and instructed me on the process and inspection.

He's a perfectionist; even adapting to make the aesthetics better as he got into the job.

Derek and Monica's communication is fantastic, they document everything, and are quick to respond.

Finding an electrician contact is difficult; but I'm confident with Derek and Monica for my future needs. Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of meeting Derek the owner of Green Concepts today.

I was having a problem with a ceiling socket in my kitchen. I called his office and they worked me in for a service call a few days later. He arrived at my house on time (in fact a bit early) and inspected the can. He explained in detail why I needed to rotate out my incandescent bulbs to LEDs, as the heat from my bulbs in the recessed ceiling was distorting and damaging the sockets/wiring. He worked on the socket for about 20 minutes, then let me know that although it was working now, I might be looking at some rewiring and a can replacement in the future. He then shook my hand and said this service call was on the house. I couldn't believe it! Who does that? He insisted that as it took less time than his minimum, he wouldn't charge me, but wanted to be considered if I did need the rewiring done later. I was flabbergasted. Of course he'll have my business. I'm also going to recommend him to family and friends.

These days it's hard to find someone who is knowledgeable, capable and so generous of spirit. I'll look forward to working with him again should the need arise.

We had Green Concepts run some new circuits into our garage and install some new outlets outside. Derek first came out to talk to us about exactly what we wanted done and to look at how it would work. Within a day we had a quote, and had no fuss scheduling the work.

When he came out he did some very clean looking work, was very neat about it, and the cost was exactly what we had been quoted. He also seems like a genuinely nice guy. We couldn't be happier and definitely recommend Green Concepts.

Derek was contracted when we had our A/C unit installed through Overlake Heating and A/C. He was fantastic. He was very clear about what he was going to do and needed. Every time he needed to talk to me, he knocked and didn't enter the house since he had his shoes on. I was struck by just how polite and courteous he was, honestly. The best part, they handled all the paperwork electronically and emailed the permit quickly, etc. Actually THIS is the best part - then they scheduled the inspection w/the county for me! Made it too easy. The little things add up and I really really liked working with Derek and Michelle. If we ever need electric work done in our home, we're calling Green Concepts!

We were very impressed with Derek and his work but the next day we discovered one of the circuits in the kitchen/dining room didn't work. We figured it was a minor fix but left multiple messages which were all ignored.
Finally I reached someone who set an appointment for Derek to return and fix the problem but he was a no show.
We left a couple more messages and then finally gave up. We'll need to find someone else to take care of it.

As a executive with large service oriented company in the Pacific Northwest, I was very impressed with the professionalism, dedication, and communication of Green Concepts.

Derek was very punctual and detailed in providing the bid and service for our electrical work. The communication within Green Concepts is top notch with Monica's ability to set up bids (which were quicker and more detailed than all the others providing bids), setting schedules that were always provided in a timely manner and adhered too, and providing final invoicing via email directly after service were the best I have come into contact with in business and personal service work of any vendor.

I work in construction. The only thing MORE important than a solid contract is communication.
I was undergoing
a bedroom remodel and asked Green Concepts to come out and run some wire which they did.
I explained that I would like to have him come out after I had framed in the walls and installed new insulation. I called 3x and sent a few txt messages.. all of which went unanswered.
The guy really seems to know his trade but I hafta say that I would keep looking based on the poor communication

Green Concepts rewired my garage to add 2 outlets (on separate, dedicated circuits) and two additional light fixtures. In addition, I had another dedicated circuit wired to my home office. I arranged pricing before hand, and really couldn't ask for better communication both before and during the job.

Overall, the workmanship was excellent and Derek took the time to answer several of my questions throughout the day. Before doing any work, he made sure to ask me how I wanted it done, and everything was done as discussed and well executed.

My only complaints would be that the work started about 90 minutes later than scheduled, and they didn't come fully prepared. (To be fair, I did receive a phone call before the 8am scheduled start time saying that they would be late.) Near the end of the job, he had to run to a local hardware store to get a few items which added an extra 30-45 minutes to the ordeal. The job took longer than expected anyhow, which wouldn't have been an issue if it started on time. (Our dinner plans ended up getting scratched because the work wasn't finished until just before 7pm)

I'd easily and confidently recommend Green Concepts for any electrical needs. In fact, I plan on contacting them shortly for more work with additional projects around the house.

I first sent an email request for a quote. A week went by, I finally called as I was not getting anything back from them. We talked and the person on the phone ask me to email a request, and was even able to find my email from the week before.The next day, I received an email with a time and the date and kindly made it fit in their schedule for the day I was home. Electrician came on time with a courtesy call 15 min prior his arrival time. He told us we would get the details of the quote the next day. We are still waiting for the quote, 5 days later... Would of given them our business if only they could be reliable with replying.

I love to write a review for a very long time. Cause Dereck put such good work in my house. He did move and change a new panel box from bedroom to family room. Move the outside meter location. New can light in the living room and kitchen. Wire all kitchen electrical. He did amazing job on his work. Four times of city inspections came and checked his work was good. The whole process were very smooth. His works were reliable. Price was reasonable. He worked by himself. Very knowledgeable on his work.

I had searched around and received a couple bids from different electricians in the area. I ended up going with Green Concepts due to the Yelp reviews I read as well as their bid in comparison to others. Derek was a little late when coming to do the estimate, but he seemed to know what he was talking about. He walked me through exactly what he was going to be doing so I felt comfortable and confident in his skills and that the work would be done correctly.

When the day came for Derek to do the repairs he was scheduled to come between 9-10 am. I don't particularly like scheduling windows time slots but it's better than the 2-3 hour windows from Comcast. I made sure to work from home that day so that I could be around to let him in my place. 10 am rolls around and no one has shown up or given me a call. I call the company at around 10:10-10:15 am, but no one answers so I leave a message asking if they were still planning on coming. Not until 10:45 am did I get a call from Derek saying he was running late because another project ran long. He told me he would arrive in 15-20 minutes. Derek didn't arrive until 11:35 am, late yet again. At this point I was pretty annoyed. I find it very unprofessional to not call a customer when you're running late and to run even later than you estimated when you finally did call. I was lucky to be working from home that day but if I hadn't his delay and lack of communication would have meant I would need to reschedule and delay my project further. I think it's important to be considerate of your customer's time and to communicate well.

The good thing about my whole experience was that Derek finished the job within an hour and everything is working properly. He did a good job and I am happy with the work he did.

They fixed our lights but left us in the dark with their lack of communication.

We had one of our household circuits out so we needed a troubleshooting visit.

Positives:
+They were able to schedule us for the next day.
+The electrician's visit was short; he found the loose connection in the first 30 minutes.
+The electrician who visited us was very friendly, helpful, and patient, despite probably having a really long stressful day. He explained everything he did, how he fixed the problem, and made sure all my questions were answered.

Negatives:
-Appointment window was 12pm-2pm. We didn't get a visit until 6:30pm with no phone call until 10 minutes before the visit. We tried calling their office at 2 to figure out when we should expect the visit. After we got through to their receptionist, she said she hadn't been able to reach the electrician all day and that she would call us back after she checks again. We never got a call back.
-Most of the times I call during their 9-5 business hours, I get the answering machine, and calls are rarely returned promptly if at all.
-The electrician found the loose connection in a light switch. He reinstalled the light switch upside down (admittedly I didn't notice either until my wife pointed it out). I fixed it myself.
-The bill was supposed to arrive via email. I didn't receive it within a week so I called. After reaching the receptionist, she told me the papers were on her desk, she had only just received them that day, and that she would send the bill via email by the end of the day. The next day I called because I still had not received it. Answering machine and no returned call. A week later I still had not received the bill, so I tried calling. I leave message. Another week passes, so I call again and leave another message. Still waiting for a returned phone call.

Summary:
Service itself is pretty good, but their communication is unreliable and unprofessional. Expect to be left in the dark.

I am pleased with the service from Green Concepts. I had 3 light switches replaced by Derek. He throughly described what he was doing and made sure that I was aware of each step. Also, he did not charge me for the extra minutes that he had spent getting equipments and etc.. from his truck. I was able to tell that he was genuinely nice person. The only reason why I gave 4 / 5 was that he arrived one hour late after some mix-up in the schedule. I am assuming this was unusual circumstance. Otherwise, I was very happy with the quality of service. I highly recommend.

Had issues with hallways lights after the painters completed the project. I contacted Green Concepts and the communication was top notch. They booked a 2-hour window and the technician showed up in the first hour of the window. He worked for about 10 minutes to fix the problem with the wiring. He explained what the problem was really well.
I am really impressed with the experience, end to end, from setting up an appointment to the electrician fixing the problem.

We were selling our townhouse and needed an licensed electrician in urgent when we hired Green Concepts in July. It was a half an hour work and they filled us in within the same week for both the free estimate and work. Derek and Monica were both very responsive, especially I just contacted them through email first(lots of electricians don't take online inquiry very serious at all). I didn't get my 1 hour estimate in time which made me very worried, so I called and emailed them after hours, they got back to me the same day AFTER hours because the job was scheduled the very next day. Problem solved!
Also their hourly rate is the BEST among all other electrician I spoke with! PLUS they don't charge you for coming out to estimate your work.

Good electrical work, terrible scheduling.

Derek upgraded the electrical system in my house to meet city code. The work he did was very professional and high quality.

Everything related to scheduling with was horrible though. He vastly underestimated the duration of work (quoted 3 days, ended up being 10), setting up appointments was always a tedious game of phone tag, Derek was consistently 1-2 hours later than the front office said he would be, and he simply never showed up on two separate occasions. After all the work was done, Derek said the front office would call me within a week to schedule the final inspection. It took them three months despite calls and emails from me prompting them to do something.

The underestimated duration of work was at no extra cost to me, so I guess that's something.

We having been challenged the last couple of years trying to do a kitchen remodel. Part of the remodel was an electrical upgrade, and Green Concepts came to our rescue.

I was concerned about moving our electrical meter and power mast and how it would look, but Derek answered all of my questions and calmed my fears.

Derek is a perfectionist and that is just what you want in your electrician. Our job looks better than I could have imagined.

Derek and Monica are great together. It can be tough finding an electrician that you are confident in and you trust. You will find that in Green Concepts LLC. They were professional, courteous, and got the job done. I will certainly call on them in the future and would highly recommend them.

Derek did a great job for me in the past. Recently I contacted Green Concepts because I had kind of an emergency issue. Derek was booked a week ahead but came in the next day around 6 pm and worked for 2 hours until he fixed the problem. When he was in the attic, he saw electrical things that were not up to code. He took pictures and explained to me why those things could be a safety concern. When we bought our house, we had it inspected, but somehow the inspector missed an obvious problem. Thanks to Derek, we can take care of it. And I'm very appreciative that he was willing to do the job for me after hours. If I could, I'd give Green Concepts 6 stars.

We are new to our home. When an entire wall of the house lost power, we contacted Derek at Green Concepts and he came out the very next day. It turned out to be a trip in the breaker box, but I was unable to determine it because the breaker box wasn't properly marked. Derek took the time to review each switch with me and gave me a tutorial on how to go about caring for our wiring/box so that we know how to fix issues in the future.

Funny how the timing worked with this visit... the weekend before, our cars were broken into. We can't protect everything, but we did decide to add additional outside lighting to deter would-be prowlers. Derek was very knowledgeable on how to set up our outside motion sensor lighting so that we could have added security. After the initial visit, we received an email from Monica that evening with a very appropriate price quote, and Derek was back out shortly after our confirmation and installed all the outdoor lighting quickly and efficiently. He showed me in detail how each light worked and welcomed us to call him if we had any questions.

Derek and Monica are quick to respond, reasonably priced, professional, efficient, and has amazing customer service. I now recommend them to everyone!

I spoke with about 6 different contractors and had about three show up for estimates to install 10 LED can lights in our living room and dining room in Bellevue. Earlier today on a Saturday, the power went out to half our master bedroom, darkening our our closets and alarm clocks. The breakers and GFCI outlets were all fine, I was stumped. We needed an emergency electrician fast. Derek was here at 2pm and out by 3. How he found that loose wire in an outlet box behind out 500 pound TV cabinet, I'll never know. He's got mad electrical troubleshooting skills and I'll happily call Green Concepts back for every future electrical need. They were fast, reliable, and very reasonably priced - just the fix I needed.

Derek is a breath of fresh air in the skilled service industry. He came to give an estimate exactly when he said he would. Gave me an exact quote the next business day. On the day of the scheduled work he called to tell me at 12:45 that he wouldn't be there until 1:30 even though the appointment time was for 1 to 2 PM. His work is neat and tidy and he is very careful inside ones home. He knows his stuff and you can feel confident that the job is done correctly. For me he installed a new sub panel system to operate and external generator and he took extra time to be sure we had all the proper places included and correctly marked since my existing panel was incorrect. He also installed an all system surge protector, traced two non working circuits. I will use him more in the future and I recommend him with the highest marks one can give! I am a happy camper customer.

I have been very happy with the service and price I received from Green Concepts. The kitchen part of my condo lost power over the weekend a couple weeks ago. I made an online request Sunday morning and Green Concepts responded immediately. They scheduled a time for Monday afternoon. Derrick came on time and gave a courteous call before coming. The problem wasn't easy to fix but finding the problem was the most challenging part. Derrick specializes in repairs and knows where to look for the issue. Once we determined that the electric panel wasn't the issue, Derrick immediately began on narrowing down where to look for. He found the issue very quickly and fixed it. Lights came back on immediately.

Derrick also has very reasonable rates and actually gave me a discount on the service. His office manager was also prompt and courteous in answering my questions. I was very happy and have recommended Green Concepts to other condo owners in my building!

We had our oven re-wired to 50 Amp 220 Volt, and our cooktop switched to 20 AMP. The electrician was extremely professional and knowledgeable, and I felt like the price was fair. He took the time to explain his work to me and what to expect when the appliances are installed. He even discovered an additional electrical problem in my kitchen (which was completely unrelated) and it was as he was leaving. He stayed longer to fix the problem at no extra charge. I was blown away by the customer service I received. I will definitely use Green Concepts in the future and will recommend to friends.

I found Derek through Yelp and his reviews are definitely correct. He showed up on time, diagnosed a problem in our kitchen that had been moved around by other electricians and fixed the illegal wiring in our 10 year old home. His first visit for diagnosis was basically an hour of free labor, pulling out a heavy oven and then promising to come back later, which he did and get everything done once the gas was unhooked. He worked around his schedule to make sure he could get things working for us ASAP. He's the kind of person I like having in my home -- efficient, pleasant, honest and fair.

This is a really great and honest family business. They're really trying to grow their business with quality work. I've had Green Concepts LLC install power into my shed and the work is very clean and exactly what I asked for. I chose Green Concepts because of the quality estimate that they gave; they did not just eye-ball the project and give me an arbitrary price (unlike the other 2 electricians I had come by.) They took many measurements and looked at every obstacle; I was given an exact price for the job the next day. Best part of all, the estimate is free! If you have a big project and want quality work for a fair price, call Green Concepts; they'll look at your project and tell you exactly what you should expect to pay. The electrician also had to work in the rain on a sunday, the day that was most convenient for me.

We had Green Concepts wire up a hot tub and the guy did a great job. He worked really hard, came to the house twice (once for the initial setup before the tub, then for the final hookup) and did good looking work (laid conduit nicely, tacked things to the wall in a good manner, etc.). I was a little concerned about the GFCI layout and he took the extra time to show me it was working (by tripping it intentionally) which I really appreciated. Their bid was 10% - 20% less than the other bids we got plus his availability was better (could start that week). I also liked that they were tech savvy and I could do all the appointments over email. I think the only negative might be that I wasn't sure how many hot tubs he had wired (we did a Sundance once from Aqua Quip) so maybe didn't have a ton of experience in that area but I would definitely hire him again - no question. Also, seemed really honest and polite which are traits that can be hard to find.

Great company and awesome workers. I called in the afternoon and they came within the hour they were really polite and funny. He explained what was wrong and showed us what we did wrong. We had trouble with wiring our compressor to our panel and he had it up and running in less than 15 min it was so simple and fast that he even did the repair for free!! you cant beat that service!! I recommend this company for anyone who wants the job done right.

I called Green Concepts in the afternoon and by the end of the day my job was complete. I was very happy with the work that Derek did. I was anxious to get my new induction cooktop working and asked how soon he'd be able to come out. He used his evening to come out and get it done. Before he started billing me for his time he wanted to make sure everything was in order with the wires/fuses. Once he knew that it was all ok he started the job. I thought that was very nice of him as it took awhile to find out where an extra fuse was going to. Derek did a great job, was very professional and I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. He is building up his business in the area currently as he recently moved from yakima. This is a great opportunity to get a great electrician out quickly if you need work completed correctly.

We moved to Kirkland about a year and a half ago. We had a very small project...putting an electrical outlet in the back of our pantry in order to get our small microwave off the counter and free up counter space. I called a couple of electricians, both of whom responded that they were super busy for the next month. I almost always use services friends have used, but for the first time just typed in electricians in Kirkland and called Green Concepts. They had amazing reviews-so amazing I kind of thought these had to be friends writing them!! But I went out on a limb and called. Derek's (the owner) wife immediately answered and was very nice. I told her what I needed done, and that I wanted it done on the sooner side rather than later. She told me Derek was available to come give me an estimate two days later, and that he would be there sometime after 5:30. I know electricians are busy people, so I was so shocked when at 5:25 Derek showed up. He was super nice and personable. I immediately felt at ease. He told me what he would do, and it sounded great. Had an idea we didn't about where to put the outlet. He said his wife would email us the estimate. By the next morning we had it. It was very reasonable, so she scheduled us for 9 a.m. on a day the following week. Derek showed up right on time, did an awesome, awesome job, cleaned up, and ended up telling me the job went faster than he thought so charged us significantly less!! That rarely happens with anyone we use. I want to add we are SUPER picky people. We keep a perfectly clean house and my husband is an engineer so is often not satisfied if things are not perfectly straight, etc. He was so pleased too. I have only written one review on here, but had to do this for Derek and Green Concepts. Am just impressed beyond belief. I will recommend him to friends, and will definitely use him for bigger projects in the future. Would trust him to rewire my whole house if I had to. He was VERY knowledgable!
