We just bought a new house and took off a spectacularly ugly light fixture in the bathroom only to find a rat's nest of wires -- and to lose power to the bathroom and a bedroom. Randy came out the same day we called and was able to make suggestions and provide a quote promptly -- and he was able to come out just a week later to do the job! After getting the run-around or no response from several other electricians we called, Randy's responsiveness was very much appreciated!

Randy was punctual, extremely competent, and conscientious. He did the exact work he promised at the rate he quoted, fixed our huge problem in just a few hours, and left the bathroom clean and tidy. He even gave me instructions on how to seal the joints in drywall so I wouldn't have to hire someone to do it. We will absolutely contact Randy again for any electrical issues we come across.

Called for a bid to bring 220 to my garage. When he came out the interaction was as strange and difficult to follow as I can remember. Something was off but I'm not qualified to access. Maybe there was something about my questions that didn't seem sensible to him but if you are left feeling this way just know it's not you.

Randy did great work at competitive pricing.  Will 100% use again.  Such attention to detail and fast response to our needs.

So this guy just cancelled on us when he was supposedly on his way over for our appointment.
When I spoke to him on the phone we was very nice and was willing to work with us on the appointment time and I thought I had finally found an electrician. It has been very difficult to even get one to call me back thus far.
All I need is some pre-wiring for a fireplace insert we are getting.

Through various circumstances my husband was going to be home today and so we told him he could come any time, so we could get fit it (I originally called on a Monday and today is Friday).
He called and told my husband he was on the way and then an hour later we get a cryptic call where he stutters and then says I can't help you and hangs up.
I have since traded voice mails with him and he doesn't see any problem with cancelling on us because my husband was going to be home anyway today.
Forget the fact that I have just lost a week's time in trying to get this done before the insert is due to be installed or that now I will have to take off work to get the quote he was supposed to provide today.

Randy, the owner, responded to my e-mail through Yelp!  He provided his pricing and acceptable forms of payment upfront. I knew exactly what I was getting from him, he told me what he would and would not do on today's visit, and advised that if additional work was needed, it would have to be schedule for a different day. I appreciated the information before scheduling him to come. Randy was very honest and professional, but he also taught me a few things too!  I loved it, i got personally tutored by a licensed professional.  I will definitely use Randy for all my future electrical needs.

Randy took a look at my stove that kept tripping the breaker and quickly figured out that the breaker needed to be replaced. We hadn't been able to use our stove for 2 weeks and he solved the problem. I found him very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him!

We're in a plumbing emergency and called Randy to see if he could come out to install a new outlet for our sump pump. He came to our home in 20 minutes which was really nice. But once he was here, he kept telling us that he couldn't do anything right away and that he didn't have the parts to do the job, however, we communicated this to him on the phone prior to him coming out. He then became frustrated and began yelling at me, my husband, and our plumber. I asked Randy to leave and he stormed off our property.

Randy is great - he does quality work for a reasonable price. He was responsive to our needs and cleaned up daily after his work. Randy rewired our whole house from knob & tube to modern outlets.

He isn't the strongest conversationalist, but he's professional and understands my requests, no matter how many times I hemmed and hawed about the placement of an outlet.

I've worked with Randy twice before, and I would happily work with him again.

We found Randy when the circuit serving our furnace malfunctioned and we had no heat. Because we also knew that our house wiring was very substandard in several areas, we also proposed that he do a rewire. Randy was very conservative, and insisted on getting the furnace power on so that further decisions would be made independently of that problem. He then readily agreed to eliminate an illegal sub-panel and rewire some of the worst and more practical to reach areas. He only agreed to redo the marginal service and main panel when it was clear the old one was not really able to be improved.

He is very conscientious about safety and did a lot of double checking and he is very careful about making sure  connections are tight. He spent considerable time making sure that the pipe that received the wires from the telephone pole was properly secured to code, even though he had precious few options with the irregular framing of our house.

He is both a real electrician and an electrical administrator. Considering that his rate s are very reasonable.Randy prefers to work smart rather than fast. He just doesn't dive into projects. We  called him back a month later when a bathroom was torn open to improve more wiring that became accessible.He made sense of it. It took a few more hours than I expected, but over-all was a good price, and the quality is without question

Also when I had another mystery problem with lights he spent 15 minutes over the phone troubleshooting it and he solved the problem (a three way switch in a nother room had been forgotten about and its toggle had been jostled in to the middle)

Randy Dahlgren is my go to electrician, quick, responsive and affordable.  Highly Recommend!!

I had only lived in my new home a few months when all electrical power was lost on my top floor and the smoke alarms wouldn't stop going off. Randy responded right away, when four other companies had told me they weren't taking any new customers. It turned out to be a rather complicated issue requiring a considerable amount of investigation and problem solving. Randy was thorough, tenacious and fixed all the issues. Randy is who I'll be calling for any future electrical needs.

Randy helped with our daughters house in Magnolia. He was very thoughtful about a few of the issues in the home and helped us upgrade some of the knob and tube wiring in the house. He took his time. Was willing to provide some instruction on some diy wiring that needed revision and troubleshooted a gfci issue. I found his rate to be very reasonable and we have hired him to add a bathroom fan and new bathroom circuit. He really thinks through the complexities of older homes and comes up with solutions that improve overall safety of wiring that has been added by non-professional electricians.

Randy Dahlgren seems like a highly competent electrician who should probably find another line of work, because he really seems to hate what he does. He yelled at me for asking questions about the placement of an electrical panel in the unit we were wiring, and left the job 2/3 done, even though we tried to pay him extra to finish it. We ended up having to find another electrician to finish the job because he seemed so unstable that we didn't want to ask him back. This was a giant pain, because he hadn't gotten a permit for the original work (which he didn't run by us) and no electrician wanted to touch someone else's unpermitted job. Headaches all around.

Randy showed up at my house right on time, which I always appreciate. I had a bunch of small electrical problems which could normally frustrate your average contractor, but Randy worked away at them diligently and did excellent work. Very personable, got a lot done in a relatively short amount of time. Highly recommend.
