Boyer Electric Company

Boyer is a phenomenal company. I was referred by the construction company who is working on a major water damage restoration work for my house to install new recessed lights in the dining area. I have worked with Jacob directly and he is truly the business man who works for the customer. We have very tight schedule but every time he accommodated my situation and delivered the service. Some of the review here doesn't really surprise me, even though I haven't met him in person.

Derek, who is the technician came out to my place, is very punctual and worked very professionally. He went extra mile to make sure we are good for the next inspection. In fact, I just wrote an email to Jacob about his work - I had to do that because he deserved it!!

Boyer's office staffs are one of the best. They are friendly, always try to help. I can be annoying sometimes because I tend to have urgency, but they worked with me very patiently and professionally.

Kudos for everyone working at Boyer and I wouldn't hesitate referring them to my friends and my family. Definitely going back for the business again.

My neighbor was having some electrical work in his condo.  I spoke to Lucas Smith, Foreman, at his truck and asked him about a quote for a surg protector.  He gave me his card and told me to email him.  I did this about 3 weeks ago.  Never heard a response.  Followed up last week with the office and was told they would forward my inquiry to Mr Smith.  No reply.  I called the office and was told if I want a quote, it would take 3-4 weeks.  The female I was talking to the first time and again today gave me the impression I was asking a favour and souded she really didn't care.  Oh, for the first time, I was informed the workman do not work out of an office but home,  I feel similar to James S for his comment on 1/23/20.

We spoke with Scott regarding some issues we were having.   Because we were planning to leave today for a vacation, Scott said he could send 1 of his guys out to our house by 6:30 am.  Lucas arrived PROMPTLY at 6:30 am and took care of our needs.  We were very pleased with his promptness and service.

We had a septic pump that kept tripping the circuit breaker. As you might guess, septic pumps are VERY IMPORTANT. A septic company misdiagnosed the issue, but Boyer to the rescue! Their electrician arrived on time and carefully checked the circuit.  Through process of elimination, he found a worn spot on the wiring insulation that was causing the fault and fixed it.  He patiently explained how it was going when I checked in with him perhaps a little too often. I would call Boyer again for any electrical issue.

I recently used them for a number of small repairs and switch-outs(grouped them all into this overall job). My primary call was for a problem in a wall socket that I was concerned about a hot open line or fire risk.  Electrician arrived right on time.  Quick, friendly, very professional service.  The electrician answered all of my questions politely and thoroughly and I didn't feel like a dummy for asking.  Billing was spot on as quoted and was exactly what I tracked as work time--no games, no surprises. I had good experiences with them years ago with our nonprofit fundraising and events where we needed special electrical and power hookups that could pass event permitting inspections.  Quality work, reasonable prices.  I trust them and I will pay more for reliable, efficient work and quality.  I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends and family.

Good luck getting a response.  Don't even try to reach them for a quote, you will get ignored.  Take your business elsewhere.

We did a kitchen remodel. They installed recessed lighting and moved some switches and outlets. Since it was construction it required two visits. They provided all of the parts including
replacing all of the outlet and switch covers. The were on time and were very professional. My wife loves the new lighting. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants the job done right, I would give them a sixth star if it was possible.

Being a single girl who has always rented, I have seldom had to inquire about services from an electrician, plumber, handyman, etc.  So I was very nervous when all of the sudden I had no hot water or electric on one side of my condo.  My landlord happens to be a good friend of mine and though I love him dearly he is definately not the handy man type.  He was happy to pay for whatever was going on in his rental but asked me to do the research on who to hire.

I decided to call Boyer Electric.  Although they seemed slightly more expensive in price I had a friend that was familiar with their work.  I trust her opinion and she had nothing but positive things to say about her over all experience with them.  I also figured that my landlord probably didn't want to go the cheaper route when it came to electrical work.

Being me, I waited until 4pm to call them and amazingly enough they were not even annoyed with my late in the day call.  That night I had Jacob Boyer (family owned and operated) come to my residence to check things out.  It turns out it was just the circuit breaker and he literally just had to flip a switch.  I think my face turned 2 shades of relieved red as he gave me the really? look with a smile.  He was such a professional about it and didn't even try to make me feel dumb, which I did anyway:)  He explained how it happened and was very thorough in checking everything else out.  Most service techs would have been rushing out the door after they fixed the issue, especially so late in the evening.  

Since he was only here for less then 2 minutes when he figured it out he barely charged me anything.  I felt like this was especially gracous since he was here within a couple hours of me calling and I assume that there is typically a couple day wait time before a service man can get to a job.  I must say that the service was A+.  They are the Nordstroms of electricians.

Boyer Electric definately confirmed my theory to trust referrals, it is truely  the best form of advertising.  If I have have any future electrical needs or inquirys from friends I will send them to Boyer!

Great experience all around.  The staff on the phone were friendly and efficeint and the tech was great.  Job site was my condo. They worked with me in that I did some research and bought my own devices and then they installed.  Time estimated / price were as expected if not a little less.  They replaced 2 baseboard heaters, a bathroom fan, and some minor 3-way switch issue.  The bathroom fan included cutting the drywall to fit the new / larger fan uint i bought.  The tech was cooperative in that when he pulled one of the old heaters off, it revealed some ancient wallpaper and he was ok to pause work start working on the 2nd heater while I quickly scraped the wallpaper off /  a little wall putty before he installed the new heater.  I like contractors who feel more like parnters.

As a home owner for the past 25 years (with 5 houses over that time), I have had some electrical issues and this firm is outstanding.

Wonderful staff, responsive, on time, reasonable rates, and excellent problem solvers.

Boyer Electric Company is the most professional electrical contracting company in the area.  Their electricians know their stuff and the office staff is nothing short of amazing.

I have used Boyer Electric since shortly after it was founded.  They were great then, and they have gotten even better over the years.  Not only do they do excellent work, but they can get things, e.g., a bathroom exhaust fan which is MUCH quieter than anything I could have purchased at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.  I still use the 20-year old window-mounted air conditioner, which is not sold to the public, yet Boyer Electric ordered and installed it for less than what I would have paid for one not as good.  Scott and Jacob care about providing quality service.

One of my neighbors saw the job they did installing a new master bedroom ceiling fan (and repairing the upstairs ceiling fan) and he was jealous.  He's getting his own fan for the master bedroom installed by Boyer Electric before summer comes.

We hired Boyer Electric to install a few new outlets around our home based in the good reviews they had on Yelp.  I would agree they do good work. My only complaint is with their billing practices. To their credit, they made it right and charged us fairly in the end, which is why they get 4 stars.  However, when we received the original bill for the work done, it was almost double what we were expecting based on the quote they gave us. As it turned out, they had overcharged us because they billed us the same rate for both the electrician and the apprentice he had with him that day.  They also billed their rates per HALF hour not by the hour, which I thought was odd, and not what I understood when we were first quoted their rates.  My advice is to check your invoice, and make sure you ask clear questions about their rates. I still don't know if they were trying to pull a fast one and overcharge in hopes that we wouldn't notice, but they are punctual and followed through with the work we hired them to do.

We have had Boyer do a series of jobs for us - from replacing our panel to installing a new plug in a difficult location.  I highly recommend them.  They are thorough and reliable.  We had one small hiccup but perfection is not a qualification for me for 5 stars.  So nice to have a quality electrician in one's back pocket!

I used Boyer Electric in a condo remodel previously and was very pleased with their work & punctuality.  Quotes were fair, people were professional, promises were kept.  Therefore, I wanted to give them another opportunity at my new house.

My Dryer would not power on and from some minor self-investigation, I found that one of the power legs had a break somewhere between the circuit board and the outlet.  I called-up Boyer and was told there was a (2) week wait for non-emergency response (understandable considering the level of Contractor they are).  I took my reservation slot but was contacted a few days later saying a slot opened at 7:30AM the following day.  The Electrician showed-up on-time with all tools, wire, equipment necessary.  Chasing the wire involved going into my attic and crawl space (due to an add-on at my house, this is actually (2) separate attics and (2) separate crawl spaces).  Access to these spaces is very tight, but there was no complaining.  Additionally, while the Electrician was in my crawl space he informed me there was ductwork disconnected and he fixed it while he was down there with a little duct tape.  

Spent 45 minutes trying to fine the break, but couldn't locate it and it wasn't worth the time to continue to chase.  There was an expensive way to fix the issue (cutout drywall and do an end-to-end termination) and an economic way to fix the issue (reuse existing wire where he knew it was good and splice in junction boxes with new wire).  All-in-all, he spent (2) hours, fixed my problem, and identified/fixed some other problems i was unaware of.  Thank you Boyer Electric - you have a lifetime customer.

One of the best contractors I've had the pleasure to work with, and I use to manage some 20+ contractors during my employment with a local utility. This was a personal job & Scott bid the job fairly & the workers they sent out were quiet & efficient.  Will use them again when I get rid of my old k&t wiring throughout the house.

Boyer seemed to do a good job installing track lighting but would not come and investigate when one part not working. We only guarantee our work for a year.
Very poor attitude.

I live in an old house so pinstalling a fan up and a chandelier was no easy task. The electrician came with all the supplies and the knowledge to get it done in a professional manner.

I've used Boyer a few different times, each time they arrived when they said they would, their electricians take the time to show you issues, will also write up quotes for future work on the fly ... they even clean up after themselves.  Go ahead and ask questions while they work ... they'll get calls from me in the future when needed.
