Tony with Best Plumbing was professional and efficient.  He fixed my kitchen sink quickly even though the problem was bigger than anticipated.  He went over the cost of the repairs before he did the work.  Will defiantly be calling Tony at Best Plumbing for my all of my plumbing needs.

I have hired Best several times.  I have paid them
Several thousand dollars.   Today when I called them they said it costs $99.00 just to send someone out.  That money does not credit to the work.  They charge a lot, but I will not use Best Plumming again due to this unreasonable charge.  I don't mind paying for the work, but to pay almost a hundred dollars for just having someone come to my house is a waste of money.  BTW I found 2 companies that will come out. They charge for the service call, and that payment is credited towards the work.

We've used them for years, but unfortunately Best Plumbing seems to have deteriorated recently. Our most recent jobs had problems with quality of work and our last job also appeared to be badly overcharged given the apparent labor time required for the work. Surprisingly, Best Plumbing customer service refused to explain their billing when we contacted them about possible overcharging given the actual work required. Sadly, this means that after many years of using Best Plumbing, we won't be using Best Plumbing again and will have to find a different plumber to rely on.

I had a very disappointing experience with Best Plumbing.  I am extremely confounded by their billing system, poor communication, and total lack of transparency.  I hired them for a shower faucet repair.  After the fix, I received a bill (no itemization or explanation and no upfront estimate) paid $630 for it which I found very frustrating, especially since the repair was non-sensical (the functioning of the handle did not correspond to the base plate, the range of tolerable water temp was about a centimeter, making it hard to shower without scorching oneself or getting icy water, they left a screw out).   The faucet failed within the month so I called for a redo.  The person on the phone said it was under warranty but wouldn't give me an estimate since they said it would depend on how long it took the technician.  The technician returned and serviced it a second time.  This time I purchased my own hardware to save on some of the charge.  When he came back, he was there for most of day with multiple trips to and from Best for supplies.  By the end of the day, only the shower faucet was replaced and not the shower head.  At that point, I said to skip it since I was stressed by how much time he was taking.  Then I received a bill for $1600.  Again, no itemization, no supply costs, no hours, no rate, no note that anything was under warranty and applied to this second bill.  When I spoke to someone about needing more detail on the bill, they told me that charge wasn't based on hours... that it was basically a flat rate for a type of job, and that I could have had an estimate at any time.  This was completely counter to what I was told over the phone and by the technician.  I think the only thing the initial $630 I paid went toward was to cover a service call fee that would have been added if the second fix was the first visit.  (Also, if the actual needed repair had taken place at the first visit, I wouldn't have been out the whole initial payment). I also ended up calling in a second time once I requested and received a slightly itemized invoice.  The invoice said complete replacement of tub and shower faucet for $1300.  When I called back to say that it was only a shower faucet, and not a tub, and that the shower head wasn't even changed out, and should the rate be adjusted since that whole job on the invoice would've taken twice as long, they said no, the total on the invoice was just what it cost.  ??? So now I have a functioning but mismatched shower faucet for $630 + $1600 + $200 on hardware I purchased myself.

This is dumbly tedious to report when I could just summarize that I will never work with Best Plumbing again because of the lack of transparency and communication when it comes to their billing practices.  It feels very much like they can put any amount on an invoice after the job is done and you are at the mercy of the technician.  The people I spoke to and the technician were polite, I just don't trust that they have a consistent, communicable way of billing for work which leaves one with the feeling of being taken advantage of.

If you decide to work with Best, make sure to receive an estimate up front with some clarity about how they plan to charge you.  Good luck getting that info from them.  I don't think it is possible.

WORST plumbing!!!! Does not honor appointment times. Had an active leak in an apartment complex, was assured service between 2 and 4. They tried to come early, no one home. Promised to come during service window. Called after service window to say they weren't coming after all. Meanwhile...water water water. Customer service does NOT care, and hung up.

Worst Plumbing.

I called Best Plumbing for a water backup. They sent two plumbers and the entire ordeal took 4 days. I had to call another company to finish the work.

The plumbers lacked equipment and adequate training.
* they ran out of time twice, left, and rescheduled
* their office canceled and reschedule a third visit
* they had a basic snake that did not go far enough
* they wanted to use a high-pressure wash, spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to use it, and finally gave up
* they tried to cut a cast iron pipe with a reciprocal saw and a regular blade. They got surprised that the blade could not cut it. They said they would have to come back with a different blade.
* they did not have a water basin and had to ask me for one (I kid you not)
* they left some water leaking between cabinet and floor
* they did not use the proper putty on a drain flange. It never dried and had to be replaced.

On the positive side, they were courteous. They really wanted to help fix the issue. They are also cheaper than other companies (if they succeed and finish the work).

As an outcome, I cut my loses. I called another company which was able to clean the clog with a snake in one hour, without the need to cut any pipes. That other company was much more expensive though.

DO NOT HIRE BEST PLUMBING! They were to replace broken garbage disposal in commercial kitchen. BP incorrectly wired the garbage disposal but claimed there was a power issue to the disposal. We had to hire an electrician to look at the power issue and electrician found that there was power  but the vendor had wired the disposal incorrectly. We have no problem paying for the new garbage disposal equipment but not happy about incompetent installation by BP plumber. BP has not listened to any of our concerns and insists on charging us full price for the disposal which did not work following their install. They are the Worst Plumbing around. :(

Best plumbing came to our house 3 times to fix the same problem and did not fix.  Charging $500 each time they came. Once they left a few days later the pipe was backed up again. It would be better for
them to say we don't know and can't fix then to keep coming back and not actually resolve the problem.

Highly unethical business. I have used this company several times for my condominium complex and for my personal residence. There is no lenience on the dispatch fee for longtime customers. Also, I had them out to repipe old lines and they only replaced 3/4 that was quoted on the job but they refused to refund or prorate any of the job because they said it was a bid not an estimate. Also, the workmanship was substandard - they cut into framing beyond what's allowed by code, damaged sections of drywall because of mistakes made, configured pipe runs that would make installing prefab cabinets and vanities a pain to install, and did not cover or clean any of their work areas. When I called to request a review of the work, explanation of charges, and potential remedy for the work not completed I was met with a rude gatekeeper rep, Nicole, who turned all blame to me for not asking more questions of the tech. She refused to escalate to a service manager and had no sympathy for my situation. Very greedy and unethical company and I highly recommend staying away

wow i cannot believe the poor customer service i received from the management dianna. truly scary if she is a manager!! i was trying to resolve  a billing issue and when i was transferred to her she was laughing the whole time which i found pretty offensive. when asked why are you laughing? she stated im just excited to help you. that's a lie.when i gave a judge judy example of if the issue if it was taken in front of a judge she threatened to disconnect the call. their plumber who is very nice serviced our building 3 times for the same issue that shouldve been resolved on visit 1 or 2, but after over $1100 worth of charges they expect my bosses who are seniors to just suck it up and except the charge. i finally lost my cool and started yelling because she continued to laugh as if it was a joke. i told queen dianna i was going to drive up their to try and resolve the issue in a friendly type of manner.she laughed and said you would end up talking to me. Dianna who made sure i spelt her name correctly continued to laugh and said i'm just excited to help you. who does that? laughing really!!! ive been in the medical field for over 25 years i do not laugh while talking to patients. i feel that we are being taken advantage of and when asked to actually speak to a manager or owner i was given robert in the beginning prior to Dianna who deals with the customer service side. he was nice, but disappeared on me due to what I'm being  told a family emergency. I later found out he was sick. Theregore, I was  given princess rudeness Dianna. i am dumbfounded and disgusted on how poor the customer service was with this lady. she told me not to use an example using a judge and or court. but it's just an example as we give our kids. she threatened to disconnect the call. Apparently according to Curt Whitehead I guess he's the service Manager  their  told if  legal language is involved disconnect the call! But yet she claims she wants to help.  Best plumbing you need to get it together! when asked to speak to an owner or manager they put you to these unprofessional individuals like Dianna. All i can say is im glad you see this is funny!, she laughed the whole time and expecting me to talk the way she wants. i was professional the whole time until she started laughing. i must've missed the joke. i asked to speak to someone else, but she refused so after me yelling i hung up.  Also, Im being told when I said I want this resolved or the green monster will come out. I'm told that's unprofessional. Wow! There was no threats at all. I think they need to take a class on dealing with minorities!
I can't give examples or speak the way I want or they threatened not to help you! its so hard to find good customer service. ive been dealing with best plumbing for over 20 years at my other buildings and never on gods green earth encountered such unprofessionalism as i have with this individual Dianna. if you have a billing issue they dont want to help you! they just give you the runaround and take advantage of the elderly. all i can say is karma will come back. god doesn't like ugly. i will be filing a complaint with the bbb and attorney generals office. so Dianna you can continue to laugh at that since you think this is a joke and funny! All we wanted was to find out after over $1100 worth of charges and you plumvrr coming out 3 times for the same issues leak in shower spout. why wasn't this fixed the first 2 times for the same issue! Is that so hard to ask?! I finally got a call from service Managrr Curt Whitehead who tried to check me on professionalism. As stated I was friendly the entire time, but got frustrated for the runaround. Curt stated he will wave the second charge of $506, but he got aggressive and said I need you to call me back when the $608 3rd visit is paid. We have always paid our bills their in a timely manner. While I do appreciate Curt waving the charge, to our surprise we got the bill for the $506 that Curt stated he would wave. I called and left him a message, but no return call. Goes to show they don't keep their word.

I had water leaking from the base of my toilet a few weeks ago. I called best plumbing, and they sent one of their plumbers out right away. His name was Zach and he was lovely. He diagnosed that I needed a new toilet and recommended a few options. They sent quotes over for top of the line toilets, something I expected. I asked them to break up the quote so I could see the price of the toilet itself and the price of the installation service. They claimed they were unable to break up the quote until I said I would purchase my own toilet. THEN, they were magically able to break up the quote.

Zach came back and installed my toilet and fixed an additional problem with flooding due to a blockage in the main line. Zach again, was lovely. He said the problem should be solved and to call back if there was any additional leaking. The next day, there was more water leaking out of the base of the toilet so I called back. I was told there weren't any available technicians but they could schedule me for an appointment at 12pm the following day.

12pm rolls around and I have yet to hear from best pluming. I gave them a call at 2pm and was told that I was never given an appt time because we always give an appointment window of two hours they 1000% gave me an appt time, and even with a window, they were still late and hadn't called with an update. It is now nearly 5pm and they still aren't here.

I called back to get an ETA and the woman on the phone, Chris had an attitude stating what would you like me to do about it at this point? If he doesn't show up you won't have to pay

In conclusion, the customer service team lacks in professionalism and communication. Waiting 5 hours for an appt with no update, and an attitude when asked for an update is unacceptable. The only reason this is getting two stars is because the plumber that came to my house, Zach...was lovely.

Absolutely rude on the phone.  Sent a technician that was Not fully vaccinated.  Unwilling to give even a rough estimate on cost of a water heater, nor cost of installation.  Arrived, and without an estimate, did a different job, that required a new part, which will be an additional cost and installation charge, and was charged nearly $809. for removing and installing a new shutoff valve.

Very shady, but quick!! operation.

Horrible service.  Charge you for the estimate, which does not go towards the final bill.  Scheduled three days out with a window, sent an email 20 minutes before the end of the window saying they were not going to make it.  Wasted 1/2 a day of work and the couldn't reschedule for 3 days.  Went with someone else who will be in tomorrow and does not charge for estimate.  I WOULD NOT USE BEST PLUMBING.  WORST PLUMBING

Mixed review.  The good: the dispatcher was super helpful, personable, and sympathetic when our hot water heater failed.  Best Plumbing was able to get out quicker than anyone else (2 days after we called).  Unfortunately, our water heater was beyond repair due to faulty installation by a different plumber several years ago.  

The bad: the dispatcher told us there would be an $89 dispatch fee. Fine (we were desperate) but she didn't tell us that there would ALSO be a $325 diagnostic fee, in addition the dispatch fee and on top of any parts and labor needed in the repair. We didn't learn about the diagnostic fee until the plumber arrived and we'd already incurred the $89 dispatch fee. The plumber was very defensive about the fee structure, arguing he didn't think dispatchers could assess the work sight unseen. But if it's a set fee, the dispatcher isn't doing any assessment, they're just disclosing all upfront fees, which is a much more upfront way of handling things.

Because the water heater was irreparable, we also got a quote for a replacement.  The replacement was 3 times the quotes and estimate we received elsewhere.

stay as far away from this company as you can save yourself so much stress -
The owner and manager take no responsibility for thier lack of action and string you along and waste so much of your time leading you on with the most unprofessional plumbing install I've ever experienced.
they seem to only have one what they call plumber on and its always his day off when he's coming to work for you. like they are doing something special. And he just vents about how shitty the company is the entire time he's there.
Quoted this would be a quick easy one day job - 50' of gas pipe installed on the outside of our home for a bbq, pizza oven and fire table. Everything opened up for them to do the install. Job started 11/19 - still fighting with them its now February  they tried saying parts weren't in after confirming window for appointment the day before so I took the day off to be here. Wrote email to them about the issue and made multiple phone calls one day of my time now wasted - They scheduled the second visit - NO show another day taken off wasted costing me now more then this project would cost. They schedule a third visit - the morning of was told the tech was sick - Now into December still have everything ripped up for them and all of the items have been in a holding pattern waiting for this work to be done frustrating many individual's and messing up so many schedules across the board. They have destroyed parts of my home. (waiting on third-party quotes to get fixed has to do with my roof) They leave an untrained 21 year old to do and spend days trying to track down issues caused by that individual. The actual plumber leaves to get basic tools needed for the job every day he's here. This entire project is for my wife a Frontline employee at our local hospital.  I've been doing everything possible to make her life as comfortable and relaxing as possible and this job has done everything to go against that causing stress anxiety. Ive reached out emailed called and even stopped into the office with no response other then management will be in touch.
Save yourself a big headache and a lot of time and money going with a company that wont destroy your home and cost you excess time. Best plumbing is the worst plumbing company ive ever worked with and ive been working with plumbers for 25 years. Its no my job to babysit or manage plumbers and thats all i've been doing for the past few months. It's absurd Almost every gas connection leaked pipe is like a snake going up the side of our three story home looks like Garbage. They didnt follow the basic plan laid out put connection where they wanted. its bad

Never ever do business with this company IF you read their contract - it expressly states that they DO NOT WARRANT THEIR WORK!

Recently their plumber damaged a pipe during his on site repairs.  Later when I noticed the leak and called the plumber  - all he did was state that  the contract I signed reads no warranty and to add insult to injury he then said he knew that a problem was exacerbated when he was using his snake tool to remove a problem in the pipe but never informed me when he left.

Bad Business, no integrity.

After not showing up for the first 3 appointment windows, Kurt verbally quoted my wife $350-400 to install a tub, but when the plumber actually showed up, he intended to just install 2 angle stops for $400.00 and the rest of the tub drain and faucet install would be an additional charge.

Home depot sells DIY angle stops for $11.95.

When I asked Kurt about the additional charges to install the tub, he kept interrupting me and he let me know that it would be up to the plumber who just showed up.

I let Kurt know that I felt like this was quite a scam, and instructed him to have his guys get their stuff and go to which he told me they had already packed up and were on the way out. Guess it must be high time to leave when someone shows up and cries foul.

Sorry, Kurt- but in my opinion, bait and switch is pretty unethical and taking advantage of unknowing women is even more unethical.

The big kicker is, we don't need angle stops, it's the wrong part for the job. If I had let them continue, someone would have charged me to repair the work they were going to do--

I say Best plumbing is probably the worst, and you should get anything they quote you in writing, and potentially get a second opinion as to the quote and it's specified parts.

Reading some of these positive reviews really makes me wonder...

I Saw your response. We got a new plumber, $615 for all work inclusive of parts.

No one asked you to warrant or fix anything- we just asked that you install the tub, to which Kurt said $400, and we said ok. Next thing I know is your guy going to do $85-115 of work and wants to charge me $400, while adding on costs that are now up to the plumber on site.... previously undisclosed under the guise of a verbal quote.

What a weird way of doing business unless you're trying to take advantage of unwary consumers and stack the bill.

In my opinion, your company's actions were unethical enough that we fired you guys on the spot and hired the next guy with considerably better results.

He's doing the job for a lot less and isn't trying to add on costs or change the game half way through.

We should have used him first. He actually is the best, and I'll leave him a review here too so others can see what a great job he did for so, so much less.

You seem to spend a lot of time fighting off the negative reviews here and on google. Maybe you should go apply at Beacon.

It's an $85 charge to tell me if they have any services that I can use. If they're not even licensed to do the work it'll still cost me $85 to find out. Beware, they're just out to take your money.

We needed urgent help after hours when a water sensor located near our water heater and washing machine got triggered, and someone from Best Plumbing (I forgot their name - sorry) came by quickly and diagnosed the problem. They were up-front about their costs, professional, and quickly isolated source the issue.

More recently, we needed to replace a slow-leaking kitchen faucet. They advised us not to replace the faucet with the replacement we had purchased due to potential quality issues, and did not charge us for the trip. That's the kind of advice I find most valuable since its very hard to get good information on quality/reliability of parts like that, so I appreciate that they did not just install whatever we had without saying anything. We plan to get a better one based on their advice, and have them install that.

I purchased a service contract which gave me access to immediate service for a water emergency.  The contract gives a 10% discount on services.  Best plumbing however so dramatically inflates prices that even with the contract they were overpriced.  The phone triage operators were exceptionally rude.  The technician who came to my home was very polite but inappropriately masked for work in my home.  The charges were excessive for the work done. Additional service and parts were recommended at an inflated price.  Moving to the front of the line for a water emergency was helpful but I was then captive to being overcharged and oversold.  I would NOT recommend this company.

Had a sudden urgent need for a plumber late in the afternoon. I called Four places to no avail. The Gal on phone went above and beyond to get me help. I received a quick confirmation of our appointment (SAME DAY!). The technicians arrived within less than 30 mins (as promised and well within our appointment window, 2-5pm) from receiving a text (with photo) and a call of their arrival. They were very professional and even gave helpful advice after fixing our immediate issue! These people will be in our GO TO list should we ever need any plumbing assistance.

Awful! Awful, awful, awful! Made an emergency appointment with them, and then no one showed up. Finally called them 2 hours after someone was supposed to show, they'd canceled our appointment without warning to fix someone ELSES emergency! Were incredibly rude to my grandparents over the phone, and never even showed up. Tried to reschedule, but they tried to charge us an after hours price even though they were the ones that messed up. What should have been a simple fix turned into a nightmare. Nope! Finding someone else!

We called them for a leaking dishwasher. The technician came over, found our drainage line was chewed through (presumably by rats), then left (in a rush) everything disconnected for the exterminator to see. The water line was also disconnected and was dripping. He said it would stop in a few hours, it never did. It dripped all weekend. We scrambled and hooked things back up, but called them over the weekend. Zero sympathy on the answering service end even though they created the drip by leaving everything disconnected. (We caught the rat in the meantime). She scheduled us for service the following Monday saying oh, every truck has the part you need. It's really common. Of course, come Monday, they cancel our appointment very last minute after we rearranged everything for someone to be home. They claimed the job before us was an emergency and we were getting bumped. They rescheduled us for the next day, the technician comes over, and sees he doesn't have the right drainage hose. You have a very special Bosch, I gambled on the hose, and I was wrong, was his reply. Shouldn't the first technician have noted what kind of dishwasher we had so the second technician could check?? But the second technician had no problem charging us a trip fee for HIS company's mistake and no offer to rectify. We ended up replacing the line ourselves. Best Plumbing? Hardly...

The short version is that we started in May with a bathroom sink faucet that worked fine but that we thought might have a small leak. Four months later we have a damaged, disassembled, completely nonfunctional faucet and a company that keeps promising someone will call us but never does.

The longer version: Best's plumber came out to look at a toilet that needed a flapper and two bathroom sinks with potential small leaks. It took some time to get parts, given pandemic delays, but the parts finally arrived and we scheduled repairs. The day before they were supposed to come we got a call that they had a COVID exposure and were cancelling all house calls so employees could be tested. We completely appreciated their caution and rescheduled once they got the all-clear. The day of the rescheduled appointment the plumber felt sick and cancelled -- again, we appreciated and fully supported that caution. On the third attempt he made it fine, fixed the toilet and one of the sinks, but was unable to remove the cartridge he was trying to replace in the other sink. He tried hard, and got a heavy-duty wrench to keep trying, but ultimately said it just couldn't come out and that we'd need to replace the bottom part of the faucet. (After the attempts, the existing faucet is now stripped to the point where it can't be reassembled anyway.)  We told him to let us know how much it would cost so we could presumably approve it and schedule the next visit to fix it, and asked when he could send an estimate. He said he would email it later that day or the next morning. We paid for the work on the other faucet and toilet ($420 on top of the initial $98 visit) and waited for the estimate.

When it never came, we called the office to check in, and they were mystified, saying there was no notice of us needing anything further in the file. We asked to get the estimate sent.

A few days later, after hearing nothing, we called again, they were again mystified and said there was nothing in the file and someone would call us back.

A few days later, after hearing nothing, we did the same and were told they would send an email to the plumber and supervisor.

On the fourth call a few days after that, after hearing nothing, we were told that the plumber had not been checking emails and so there was a backlog for him to get through, but that the person we were talking to would call us back later that day (this did not happen.)

On the fifth call, Sept. 3,  after hearing nothing, we were told that someone would call us back later that day. When I mentioned that we had already been told this many times before, the reply was We can tell him to call you, but we can't *make* him call you. I was also asked to remember that parts take up to six months to arrive, and I said yes, that's why we want to find out how much the part costs and get it ordered. The person I was talking with says It says a part has been ordered. Me: What is the part? She could not tell me what the part was (I wonder if it was the previously ordered parts for the job that was already done? Who knows?) She also said that the plumber told them that they had given us a verbal estimate. I said he 100% absolutely did not give us a verbal estimate -- the whole point of sending an estimate was that I had zero idea how much this part might cost. She said someone would call us back later that day. Obviously, no one did, that day or any day since.

We get that these are crazy times and that they must be short-staffed and stressed and that there are supply chain problems. We don't expect things to work as efficiently as they would in other years. But we also don't want a permanently broken (partly due to them) bathroom faucet with no timeline for ever getting it fixed and no idea how much it would cost (or whether a part has been ordered or not), or to stay in this Groundhog Day of having to explain the entire situation from scratch, get the assurance that we will get called back that day, and then having to do it all over again.

I called them, their technician Will stopped by, he was very annoyed by having to work, told me that everything is fine and he knows better, said I don't know what do you want from me, and left.
If you need a free (I hope) insults delivered to your home, this is the business to call.

Water pressure dropped down in the kitchen and shower, water heater folks inspected everything and explained to me why this is not caused by the water heater. Bath drain also slowed down.
I called Best Plumbing, they scheduled an appointment, and their tech Will stopped by. He was in a bad mood. After I explained why I called them, he said This is an old building, what do you want! He checked the kitchen faucet, said Everything is fine, you can replace the faucet, and wanted to leave. I reminded him about the shower and drain, he opened water, said This is normal water pressure in the city, compared to what I see. I don't know how it was in OTHER APARTMENTS YOU LIVED BEFORE. I repeated to him that the water pressure dropped in this shower, he said that there is nothing he can do, and was leaving. When he was just outside the door, he continued to say something. When I asked him to repeat, he said I don't know what you want! Do you want to increase water pressure? We can send someone to you.
I call plumbers because I understand nothing about plumbing but I see that water slowed down, they arrive, tell me that that everything is fine, they know better because they see much worse problems, they say they don't understand why I called at all, and they leave.

I hired Best Plumbing to fix a leak in the basement of my rental property. While the plumbing work itself was done well, the plumber severed an electrical wire while cutting into the wall a few inches away from an outlet to gain access to the plumbing, which caused a loss of power to two electrical outlets and a potential fire hazard. Instead of the plumber taking responsibility for the damage and notifying the company to start a claim through their liability insurance, he told me that I would need to hire an electrician myself to get it fixed. I contacted the company repeatedly over the next several weeks, but they were unresponsive and ultimately never responded to my concerns and the damage they caused. I would not hire this company again.

BP damaged a house of mine to the extent I needed to hire a structural engineer to fix. Then, in addition, I had to take BP owner to small claims cort to collect damages. Stay away. Use Fischer, Aurora, O'Neill etc. and be happy.

This is a tough one. I used Best a few years ago and they did a very competent job on a leaking pipe. Would have given 5 stars for that job. This week we scheduled a visit to replace a recirc pump plus two other projects. Sent photos of the parts to Best the day before so they'd be prepared. Their tech showed up 30 minutes late, didn't know what the jobs were, hasn't gotten the photos and didn't have the parts in the truck. So instead of fixing the failing pump, he walked around and took the same photos that I had sent. No fix. I had to call again to get the price quote for parts since they forgot to call. Couldn't schedule to return visit until I signed their 5-page contract/liability waiver, and by then the only dates were too late given my calendar. So, still no fix.
Basically, good plumbers but a crappy administrative process that failed to deliver. Wouldn't recommend Best and will have to think about using them going forward.

I called this company to come out to my place of work, and their customer service was top notch; absolutely professional and friendly! Cassandra was very nice to speak with, and they were able to send someone out within a couple of hours. Unfortunately we ended up cancelling on them last minute as we got the problem fixed, but they were incredibly kind and courteous. If I ever need a plumber or know anyone who does, I will definitely be recommending this place!

Some if the plumbers appear competent but the overall service of these guys is dismal.

The first plumber misdiagnosed the problem and parts were ordered. The second plumber figured out the first guy misdiagnosed the problem and ordered more parts. When the parts arrived no one looked at them until the third scheduled visit at which time they discovered the wrong parts had been shipped we are now waiting in new parts. The first call to these folks was almost two months ago. I will finish this job with this company but never use them again.

It only gets worse:

In spite of their assurances on October 10 that my job would be done as soon as the parts arrived, I received a phone call on October 18 saying the parts were in and they could be installed on the 27th. I told the person calling I would be out of town on the 27th and since she said no earlier appointments were available, we agreed on an installation on Monday the 30th.

This morning (the 27th) while I was in San Francisco I received a text that Wayne was on his way. When I called the office to again tell them I was not in Seattle, the person who answered the phone had no record of our previously agreed appointment on the 30th.

I am a property manager and I have worked with Best Plumbing quite a bit. There was a point that I was so frustrated I stopped working with them. An urgent situation just arose and I managed to speak directly with Kurt Volkle, the plumber. I give Kurt, 5+ stars!!!  He was awesome. He did everything he said he would. I was waiting on a bid from him, he called  to let me know he was on another job that would take quite a while and as soon as he was done he would get the bid to me.  He even called me to let me know he hadn't forgotten about me. I think all of my frustration comes from the inside staff and not from the plumber. Kurt, thank you for raising the bar.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We had a tankless water heater put in from a company that was recently purchased by BEST PLUMBING and found out it was installed wrong with many problems. We reached out to Best and was told that they have no desire to help any customers of the company they purchased. So I am left stranded. HORRIBLE way to treat customers like this. Not a way to build a relationship with new customers purchased. I will never consider using a company like this or recommend. I was also told the owner of the company would reach out to me, never happened.

The Best Plumbing crew has been late and I have been rescheduled without being notified. We had new hot water heaters installed without proper valves, which resulted in an enormous water bill. One of the new water heaters had a faulty heating system and stopped working two months after installation. After waiting all day for them to show up to fix the broken water heater, they canceled an hour after the appointment window. This was a scheduling issue, as I understand it, and not the fault of the plumber. The scheduling office had the ability to notify me well before the scheduled window, which is frustrating.

Great service and communication. We had emergency with a burst valve on our main water supply and then a burst pipe that spewed water down our foundation and into our basement. The fix required the underground team to dig a channel in our driveway and then diagnose leaks in the old galvanized pipes. It was a big job but Best guided us through it and did what they said they'd do when they said they'd do it. We also had a new toilet installed by Best - the team they sent were quick and straightforward. There's a reason my husband's remodeling company uses Best. Truly great service. I also liked that they text you the name and photo of who they are sending out. Cool feature.

Who's on first?

Communication ranges somewhere between zero and 1, with zero meaning no communication at all to, it is the technician's responsibility... The trouble with that is, the technician does not communicate with the customer, and when you call Best Plumbing, you are able to speak only to people who do not have any information.

Friday, Aug. 24, plumber dispatched with a 30 minute window. I left work to meet plumber; arrived home in 15 minutes--15 minutes to spare. Learned he came and left. After a talk with dispatcher, plumber returned. Plumber said we needed a part that was not in stock; he would order, and they would call Monday to let us know what, when and how much.

Monday: No one from Best Plumbing called us.

Tuesday afternoon: still no call from Best Plumbing. We called them at 3:00 pm. Dispatcher, Sam, said Purchasing was not available Monday, so they could not order the part. I asked why no one called us. She said, I apologize... and that it's the technician's responsibility... she added that the Technician is responsible for getting the part ordered and, when it comes in, to schedule the service call.  I asked why no one communicated this to us. I do apologize...

I asked what the part was, if Best had ordered the part, how long it would take to get the part, how much. She said she would try to get the info and call back. I then asked if that would be today. She said she would contact Purchasing immediately and call us back. It's nearly 5 pm. They called at 5:16 and said they would email me the specifications on the part, so that maybe I can get it more quickly.

Wednesday morning. 10 am. No email with part info. I called. Sam said the Purchasing Department closes at 3, so she did not get the part specs Tuesday. She said the manager is walking over to the Purchasing Department to get the info and they will give us info as soon as they get it. By 3 pm still no word. As usual, we had to call to find out what happened. The latest story is that the plumber (technician) thought one of Best's parts in stock might work, and he wants to try them. They could not or would not tell me what part(s) we need. So, now they are scheduled to come Thursday between 9 and 12. We'll see.

They will reschedule on you. Multiple times.  Sometimes they won't bother to tell you that you've been rescheduled for another day whether you've available or not. Everyone that I dealt with was nice on the phone and in person- the company is just an organizational nightmare that doesn't respect your time. Look at the other reviews and their cookie-cutter responses. The only reason we used this company is because the property manager hired them.

I wasted 12hrs sitting in my house over the last 3 days waiting to have my sink put back together after it was dismantled and left that way for days as they tracked down a pretty standard part. The repair took 5min when they showed up. Also, Best Plumbing, give your people meal breaks in their schedule so they don't have to sit in their truck in front of my house shoving food while I wait.

I had scheduled an appointment for Friday, July 6th for a slow moving drain in our bathroom tub. The gentlemen who came out stated to my husband before even entering our home that the fee was going to be $314.00 plus tax. He came in, and took him less than 10 minutes to unclog the drain due to having excess hair build up from the previous homeowners. I questioned the price. He stated that this is what the price costs unfortunately, doesn't go by how long the job takes. That's fine. My family has used this company at three of our businesses and my parents house and never had they been charged that much for a clogged drain. And the businesses being restaurants. I called and spoke to the manager Dave on Monday questioning the charge. He stated that they charge $225.00 for what I had needed done. I was charged $347.70. He told me who would call me back on Tuesday. Never received a call back. Which I did notice they had cashed my check already. I called back on Thursday and he stated that he will send me a check out for the difference that I was over charged. If I hadn't called in the first place they would have over charged me by $122.70. I wonder how many other customers they have done this too. Needles to say they have lost five accounts for being dishonest and ripping me off.

The staff at Best Plumbing showroom had excellent product knowledge and helped us put together exactly what we wanted for our kitchen remodel.  There were issues with the installation by the contractor so the Best Plumbers were called in to handle the job.  Kerry insured everything moved along smoothly and she was readily accessible when issues arose and I needed to call her.  We went to a number of different showrooms and the Best Plumbing on Stone Way where Kerry works was the best.

Are they in the business of plumbing or collecting $80 for estimates? I called to get a quote to install a tankless water heater. I wanted to get some indication before I committed to paying $80 dollars for someone to come out to make an estimate. They gave me a ball-park number that was very attractive. So I took a gamble.

On the phone, I was told I was the first call of the day. I was actually the last call of the morning. I waited almost 3 hours. The person coming to make the estimate was professional. After the visit, I waited for my estimate. Nothing, no communication for a few days. It took two calls to finally get them to give me an estimate 5 days after the visit! The estimate was significantly higher than other quotes I had.

I am not going to use them. There are many plumbers that won't charge you to make an estimate. Why go with this one? Hope someone learns from my expensive mistake.

I chose Best Plumbing based on yelp reviews, but I will NOT be using them again. Although the service was courteous and prompt, the price is simply RIDICULOUS!! I was charged $587.19 for a simple garbage disposal replacement.

This was my first time dealing with replacing a garbage disposal so I didn't know much about pricing. Granted, I should have shopped around and done my research more, but I was in a bind and needed to get the issue fixed right away. The pricing seemed really high, but I went with it anyways.

I have since had another handyman come out for another appliance issue and his quote for similar garbage disposal replacement service (including parts) was approximately half that amount! The parts quote was roughly the same (about $135), so it is entirely LABOR costs that is through the roof.

I have no complaints about the technician, he did his job fine. The labor cost is just way too expensive. I would not recommend this company, but if you do go with them, just be sure to figure out exactly how much everything cost beforehand over the phone.

Edit: I complained to the company and they sent out another plumber, Jimmy, who was friendlier and fixed the problem. However, my star rating remains the same because they didn't even ask when I would be home before sending another plumber, so I missed the first person they sent. Overall, this company comes off unprofessional.

The plumber who showed up (Will) was a bit rude - when he called me through my building's entry box, he just yelled plumber! until I let him in, and when he got to my place, the first thing he said was what did you break?. I found this unprofessional.

He seemed to get the job done quickly (unclogging a sink) but it was still draining slowly the next day. He left the area messy, and also wrote down my credit card number - I would have expected him to swipe it on a Square or something similarly secure.

For $300, I would expect a higher level of service.

Scheduling the appointment was fast and easy, but I would hesitate to use them again outside of a pinch.

I don't recommend scheduling with Best Plumbing.  Here's my experience. I called weeks in advance to have a plumber come to my house for a repair. I chose a Saturday due to my job not allowing me the flexibility to be at home on weekdays. I was told that I wouldn't be the first job on the schedule but that I would be second and would receive a call when the plumber was on the way.

When the day of the appointment came, I waited around until noon at which point I thought I should check on the status of things. I called to check and was told they had emergencies and would let me know if they would be able to make it given that they were low staffed for Saturday. I said that this seemed odd since I had scheduled this far in advance and specifically for this day. It was mentioned that my appointment had somehow been taken if time allows.  

I understand emergencies and how they can affect a plan. I cannot understand not contacting people in the schedule and letting them know what's going on and allowing them to respond accordingly. That kind of service lapse is not acceptable. What's more unacceptable is how little the person I talked to on the phone seemed to care about correcting the situation.

I recommended to their representative that they never take an appointment as time allows and that they call appointments in advance if they aren't going to make it at the anticipated or scheduled time.

I recommend to you that you find someone else to address your plumbing needs if you expect communicative service.

In the past I've had positive experiences with Best so when I needed a plumber I called them. Long story short, nobody showed up between the expected window of 9:30 - noon. About 12:10 I got a call from Best saying it would be another wait of 20-30 minutes. Okay. After 30 minutes, still no plumber. I called and was told the plumber was on his way. From where, I asked?
Don't think the guy would have made it in the 10 or so minutes I was quoted. After wasting all of this time I cancelled the job. Just seems like a lot for a home owner to wait around, and wait and wait with ever extending wait times. It was for me.
I suggest not overbooking your jobs or at the very least, checking in with customers before the expected show time is up to let us know what we can expect if you're running behind. Is that too much to ask?

Mehan and Bilal worked on several problems for us: faucets that were leaking, drains that weren't draining, hot water coming out of the cold tap.  They helped me select new fixtures, doing research on what was available in the style I already had for the shower, they kept in contact with me when the parts came in, they noticed, pointed out to me, and repaired other problems they saw (rotted gaskets), and they were pleasant and fun to deal with, careful and clean (wearing booties so as not to get our white carpets dirty), and they worked into the evening when the job required it. They needed to reschedule a few times, but I understand that -- you can't fault them for prioritizing someone with no heat over a faucet problem. But they always kept me informed of their progress and made sure they could accommodate my schedule.  All in all, they were terrific.

Best Plumbing came and put a new garbage disposal unit in our house.  I appreciated the no pressure sale.  I was told they could repair mine but it was not a great disposal.  Normally would have raised red flags however when mine was pulled off there was months of in processes yuck in it.

Since the new disposal much better processing.  Good job guys.

I made an appoiment to have someone come out and give me a quote for installing a water leak detection device. No one showed up the first time and when I called, the receptionist gave me a lame excuse about me not answering the phone so the person decided not to come. I checked my phone calls and confirmed that no one called me that day.

I made another appointment for today and no one showed up again. I called them and was told that no one can make it today either and to reschedule for another day. I told her that I should charge them for wasting my time and not to bother rescheduling again.

They may be good at what they do but I can't recommend a company who is not reliable and doesn't value other people's time.

We used Best Plumbing for the first time last week and I can not say enough good things about them! I wasn't even there for the actual service (our toilet leaked while we were out of town) but we emailed their service team and someone was sent to the house the next day. We had a text when the service man was on his way which was very convenient and allowed us to make sure someone was home. After looking at the Frankenstein toilet in our 100+ yr old house it was determined that they had the appropriate piece to fix it in their showroom....20 minutes there and back, another little fix and we were back in business! These guys are professional, detail oriented, and timely. A win-win!

I was driving next to one of this company's trucks today. The driver cut into the left turn lane WAY too early and I signaled and moved appropriately in front of him into the left turn lane (with plenty of room). He then pulled out of the left turn lane, went around me, and made an illegal left turn on a red light. I've never hired this company but if they drive like this, I'd be worried about what they do in my house.

I wanted to write about my experience with Best Plumbing.  

I had a plumbing emergency on a Sunday.  To their credit, someone came out within a few hours!  He was unable to fix the problem, as it required some special equipment.  I was told I would get a call Monday morning to schedule a time.  They called right at 7am!  We agreed on 1pm, and I arranged my work day around this time.  I got a call around 930am that they were on their way.  I couldn't re-arrange my schedule again, so I told them to proceed without me (after all, my only toilet wasn't working!).
I got home, and was happy that my toilet was flushing!  But I noticed that the visible pipes outside my house didn't look quite right.  I immediately called the crew that does maintenance on my house to come have a look.  They came and found that my sewage conduit had been disconnected from the main sewage line (and left like that).
So then I have invoices from both Best and the crew that had to come in and fix everything.
I would like to be clear that I had a sewage clog that was resolved- and I think it was significant. But I was also left in a pretty bad position with a disconnected sewer line- that wasn't recognized.
I paid both bills (over $700 total), because I don't like to have outstanding debt- and I also believe that people should be paid for their time (and admittedly, I had a big clog). I understand that things might not go right every time.
I emailed Best Customer service.  I got an email back asking for the invoice for the subsequent repairs, which I sent.  I was told I would hear back within a week or two.  That was in August.  I have contacted them several times since then, and haven't gotten a reply.
This isn't really about the money- its long since gone, but more how the situation was handled.
I would have been happy with an acknowledgement/apology that the job didn't go quite right.

When I called to schedule, I was not informed that a diagnosis would cost $75. Although it was good customer service, I feel like I was ripped off. All the plumber did was replace a toilet fill valve (which he had to go out and purchase) and basically push the reset button on the garbage disposal. The work took maybe an hour and I was charged $400, including their $35 mobilization expense. Next time, I will go to a handyman first.

We've been using Best for the last 9 years since we bought an older home that needs regular plumbing maintenance.  All their plumbers we've had dealings with are knowledgeable, personable and fair minded.  Our personal favorite plumber at this company is Wayne.  They always resolve the issue to our satisfaction.  We also find that they have superior equipment (sewer cameras & heavy duty sewer cleaning equipment, etc) to other companies.  I've marked down one star because lately it seems they are super busy and can not get us in as quickly as they used to.  Also, the second to last occasion they did not show up and never called to reschedule.  We understand scheduling mistakes happen and choose to overlook this issue since we've had a very good track record with them otherwise.  One other constructive feedback is about the $79 trip fee; I think they should reconsider charging that or crediting it towards work performed.  It feels chintzy to be charged that fee on top of a service that already cost $500.

I called Best Plumbing for a quote to install a toilet and sink, appointment made and guy turns up early.  Looks at what needs to be done then returns to his vehicle to write up the quote.  When he gives it to me he then informs me of a $79 dispatch fee plus tax which he wants.  Told him this fee was not mentioned at the time of booking but he said it should have been.  As i was home alone I felt I had to pay it which I did by credit card.  After he left I called the office and explained that nobody had told me about this fee up front and that there is no way I would have had them come if I had known about it.  The lady I spoke to told me that the amount would be credited back to my card in 3/4 days.  A week later still no credit so another call made.  This time I was told it would be referred to the Service Manager and that he would call when the refund had been made.  To date no call and still no credit.  What an awful company.

I received amazing service from Wayne at Best Plumbing. He was very knowledgeable and honest through out the whole process. My water heater burst suddenly and I had to get it removed and replaced immediately. He was able to complete the full service with new units installed in a matter of a couple hours. I even received a follow up to ensure everything was okay. I am very pleased with their personable service and would highly recommend.

Crooks. Complete crooks. After 2 weeks of scheduling runaround and incompetence the guy finally shows up 3 hours late, spent less than 45 minutes and charged nearly $500. I asked for an invoice, never got an invoice just a huge bill to my credit card after I insisted on an invoice. I'll never use them again and I cannot recommend.

Called to get on standby for a resident in an apartment. I was led to believe from the representative I talked to that I would be contacted in the event they were able to send someone out and would be able to confirm a time with me.
Someone showed up without have made contact with me and waited around which they are billing me for.
Talking to customer service about this was a pain. From my experience, I will not use them for the complex I manage and am letting my coworkers at other complexes know to avoid using them as well.

We called a plumber to put in a few plastic pipes after I went ahead and took out the garbage disposal on our rental.  After waiting around he put the pipes in and charged 300.00.  Two days later we get the call from the tenant that the pipes are leaking.  I could have done a better job myself, especially for 300.00.  This rental is not close so now we have to go out again, correspond with the tenants to fix what should never have been a problem.  Never again.

Absolutely worst customer experience of my life!

Sends out employees who aren't licensed plumbers to do work!  Check that the plumber is licensed here before allowing them to do work secure.lni.wa.gov/verify

Employees act unethically starting a job without providing quote giving the impression they're being paid by the time and parts.  Plumber knew the job couldn't be finished proper without extensive work and part way through the job says we have a problem  even though he was fully aware of the problem before beginning the project.

Be warned their so called plumber took advantage of me and ripped me off.

Part of our estimate request was skipped, requiring me to follow up. We accepted their bid because their price was more reasonable than others. However, communication to get an appointment scheduled required too much follow up on my part. We asked for specifics on the location of some side issues, and were only given guesses. Communication eventually improved a bit. Sadly they were three hours late according to when they said they would be here. When I mentioned this later, there was no input provided. They also started with the side issues, instead of the main issues they were hired for. This caused us to need to reschedule, and let the main leak sit even longer than it already had. With this all said, we will consider giving Best Plumbing another chance the next time we need work done.

I had a nasty toilet leak that damaged the flooring.  Once the flooring was repaired, Casey replaced the toilet carefully, even with the challenge of the flange being set way below the floor.  He had to reset the toilet a couple of times because of this situation, but he didn't stop until he was satisfied that it was well-seated and that the toilet worked.  At the end, he cleaned everything up beautifully.  Through it all, Casey was good-humored and professional.  I would use him again in a minute.  And kudos to Best Plumbing for scheduling him so quickly.

Their name speaks for itself. We bought our house a little over a year ago and when had the sewer scope done, there was a hole (size of a silver dollar) in the pipe and we also had old concrete piping that went out to the main. I got a few bids and Best was not only the lowest but also the most professional and put together. It's minor but worth mentioning that they have nice vans/trucks and personnel. Dave was the one to come out to do the scope and give us the estimate and he absolutely rocked. Awesome guy and very knowledgeable and no-nonsense. Communication was great, the job was done quickly and ahead of schedule, professionalism throughout and good price on top of all that. No complaints over here, very happy in fact.

I called their 24/7 number on a Sunday and asked for an appointment Monday as I had a rental property that had a plumbing issue in the shower where we had to turn off the water to the whole house. The on-call lady said someone would call Monday morning to schedule the appointment. No one did. I called back in and they said they could get someone to me between 1-4 Monday afternoon. Perfect. I called in at 3:30 and they said they were still hoping to have someone stop by. They called back a minute later to say they couldn't make the appointment but I could pay $250 for them to come after hours, 3 times the usual rate, even though it was their fault they missed their appointment window. It was too late for me to find another plumber for the day. If they had told me earlier that they couldn't make it, I could have found someone else but I relied on them to make their scheduled time. This resulted in me telling my tenants they had to go another whole day without water. Very frustrating experience. I will never use them again.

Amendment: I received a call from the manager the day after my review to apologize. He said mistakes were made and this should have been made a priority since they didn't have water. I appreciated the call and the apology, which goes to show they do care about customer service, but I am leaving up the review as is as it still reflects my experience and frustration at the time.

Over the past twenty years we have remodeled two kitchens and three bathrooms in the two homes we have owned in Seattle.  Over those two decades we have used a number of Seattle plumbing companies and purchased water heaters, sinks, faucets, shower hardware, and toilets at four showrooms.  Our last project was a major master bath remodel and now that it is complete our take away is this:

Purchase everything at Best Plumbing and have Best Plumbing install everything.  The showroom is well organized with sinks, faucets, and shower systems that reflect a range of price points, and the employees are knowledgeable and helpful.  We worked with Lynn Bonney and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about her.  Lynn has great taste, a thorough understanding of all aspects of plumbing, and a solid relationship with the brands sold in the showroom.  The communication between the plumbers and the showroom is seamless and important, something that we didn't appreciate before, and was very important in our project.  Clay was the plumber who worked on our home and he was excellent!! Smart, focused, fast, and very professional I will definitely be requesting him for future projects.

I just went to this store with my sister who is doing a complete re model of her bathroom. After having visited two other competitors, she ended up purchasing all her hardware for sink and tub thru Best Plumbing.
Our salesman, Eli, was really wonderful. So knowledgeable and really worked so hard to explain, in detail, prices, accouterments that needed to go with each part, etc. He stuck to our budget and still gave her a wonderful product. He was also multi tasking with a few other customers as well.
I do think, however, that they need more staff. It was very busy and I did not think they had enough help even though we were waited on beautifully.
I would go back again and work with Eli in a heart beat. I thought their product selection and knowledge was exceptional.

We have used Best Plumbing for years. Very satisfied every time. Had Colin last week and he was fabulous! He worked hard all day and got our hot water tank installed. They got us right in the day we called so we only had to be without hot water for several hours. We highly recommend them. Trusted for years! They will give you all the options!

Because I already knew I hated them all, I decided to spread the work around during our recent major bathroom remodel. That way I wouldn't have to blame one company for their failings.

I think we only got our towel rod, medicine cabinet, and toilet paper holder from here, but they were by far and away the best (no pun intended) to deal with. I had to be pretty assertive to get a sales person's attention (I mortified Chris on several occasions, but it worked!), but then they were great. It's pricey but the quality was there.

I really hope I never have to go through nine weeks of remodel furstrations again, but these people contributed to it the least (in terms of frustration), and that's saying a lot!

First let me say that we did not order from Best Plumbing because of shipping and delivery issues (we live in Hawaii) but they were the most helpful and professional dealers for bath fixtures with whom we have dealt. We're renovating our master bath at home and walked in to shop for fixtures. Their display stock presented a wide range of quality options and the staff went out of their way to help us in deciding among the many choices available. Although they had several other customers they fit us in to go over the stock and a number of catalogs and detail what we needed to get the functionalities we wanted,

The staff couldn't have been more helpful and we highly recommend them. We suggest you make an appointment (they were pretty busy) but only have one suggestion for improvement - they should open a store in Hawaii.

On August 28th, 2018 Best Plumbing came to my house in Seattle to fix a leak in the lines connecting the washer to the wall.  I told them I believed the problem was that the rubber washers had worn out and the plumber agreed.  He quoted me $400 to fix the problem.  I should of blanched at this but I didn't since I thought the problem involved the valves in the wall. I did not fix it myself because when I tried to shut off the water with the valve at the wall I still had pressure in the line and thought the wall valve needed work which was beyond my skill level.  The plumber showed me that I had overturned the wall valve and by turning it only 90 degrees the valve was closed.  The plumber recommended replacing the houses and water hammer resistors leading to the washing machine.  He had to go back to the shop to get the parts and was gone 45 minutes.  When he got back he spent 20 minutes replacing the hoses.  He then told me he forgot to tell me about the $79 house call fee.  With this fee plus the $416  actual cost and tax my bill was $545.29 counting some sort of supposed discount.  I asked the plumber what the parts cost and he indicated about $20.  So, I was charged around $475 plus tax for 20 minutes of work or $1439/hr or if you include the travel time to get the parts the one hour of total labor was charged at $475.

I should of objected to this usury but I did not, my bad.  What I would have hoped for is that the plumber would have explained that the wall valve was simply overturned and then offered that either he could fix it for over $500 or I could just pay him for his time and call out fee and done the work myself thereby saving $400.  This result would have made me a customer for life.  The way it actually went down makes me feel ill used and I will never use best plumbing.  My advice: get everything in writing.

Also note that if Best happens to respond to this post you are likely to see the standard line something like:  Thank you for sharing your experience. We regret that your experience was not a positive one.  We have spoken with our team here to ensure this does not happen again.  Thanks again for sharing the review; we always welcome customer feedback  This is really a hollow sentiment given their business practices.

I've had several encounters with other plumbers and consistently find Best Plumbing to be, well......the BEST!

I had a coupon for South West Plumbing and called them out to a rental unit we own to assess a leaking toilet (the water was running constantly).  They told me that the entire tank had to be rebuilt at a cost of $600 or I could buy a new toilet and have it installed for $1,000.  I told them no thank you.

Called Best Plumbing who went out and fixed the toilet with a new flapper for $185.  

They are very responsive and make Saturday appointment times that are convenient.  I won't call any other plumber!

You know how sometimes you just put off doing laundry until you have no towels? That was me on an idle Tuesday. I threw every towel I own into the wash machine, start it up and go about my day. All of a sudden I hear strange noises from my laundry room. I open the door and it was flooded. Water was gushing out of the wall. The drain had backed up. I turned off the washer. But.. no towels to clean it up. I ended up using sheets. I called my BF, who is pretty handy, said he'd fix it when he got home. I start doing dishes and then my sink stops draining water. I run the disposal (I have a two basin sink) and the other side quickly starts filling up with water! I turn the faucet off and it won't drain. I call the BF again, tells me again he will fix it. Guess what? He couldn't fix it. To make matters worse, the bathroom sink and shower both started backing up. He called around and Best Plumbing was able to come out pretty much right away. I was really happy because I don't like being alone with strange repairmen in the house and also I don't know anything and have been severely ripped off in the past. But a family emergency came up and the BF had to leave. I was really nervous. The plumber, Willie, arrived right on time and knocked on the door, my dog didn't bark. My dog barks at everyone who comes on the property, especially strangers. I have a Cane Corso (Italian mastiff guard dog) So when she didn't bark, I felt a lot more at ease about being alone. I mean, my dog would rip someones face off, but I don't want that to happen.

I opened the door and Willie put his hand down for my dog to smell him, he pet her while introducing himself. He asked me to go over the problems, I'm not really advanced in home repair terms. So I show him the sink and say All of a sudden it didn't drain and was going gurggle gurggle and then the thingie wouldnt do whatever its supposed to do and my BF took something apart and it went Blubble Blurble Blubble and then water started coming out from I think over there, but I don't know. He was extremely patient and explained everything in detail, in a way that I could understand. He was not condescending or blow me off with the attitude of You're just a girl who doesn't know anything. When he was done explaining the problems, how he was going to fix it he gave me a price. It was less than my BF had anticipated so I happily agreed. He got this big thingie that made a lot of noise and he did his thing. It created quite a mess which I wasn't worried about. The laundry room was already a mess from before, the cat litter was everywhere, clumped and gross. He went next to the kitchen and did the thingie that made noise again. I had to take a phone call and I went outside for a few minutes. When I came back in he wasn't in the kitchen. I figured he was working on the bathroom and shower. He came into my office when he was finished, he told me it wasn't as bad as he originally thought, it took less time and then he knocked the price down! An honest plumber! I paid him and he left. I went into the laundry room and he had cleaned everything up! Not just the gunky mess his thingamajig made, but the whole mess! He had also restarted my wash machine and it was finishing its cycle. My BF was convinced that he didn't really fix the problem for the price we paid (I think because he couldn't fix it himself). But it's been almost 4 months and NOT ONE ISSUE!! The laundry smells better too. I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of service, the level of professionalism, honesty and kindness Willie delivered. I will be recommending him specifically to anyone with a plumbing issue.

We had a mysterious backup problem at our home in Edmonds. Steve from Best Plumbing responded immediately, diagnosed the issue, scoped our lines with a camera and unclogged them.

Steve was fantastic -- personable, friendly and knowledgeable. The cost was very reasonable and we never felt that we were taken advantage of in a precarious situation when other companies might have overcharged.

In fact, Best Plumbing saved us a lot of time and money since my husband already had the sledgehammer out to find the clogged line himself under a lot of concrete.

Best Plumbing is now definitely our go-to plumber.

I manage apartments in West Seattle and we have an account with Best Plumbing. They are our go-to plumbers as they are knowledgeable in all plumbing issues that we have had. We especially like Mehran and Bilal who always come as a team. We also like Travis who has done a great job for us when Mehran and Bilal aren't available. We have also dealt with other plumbers from there, David and Kurt, who did great jobs with a sewer and elevator shaft pipe respectively. And during the recent snow when Best Plumbing's office got hit hard and none of the plumbers were able to come to work that day, we spoke with Robert, a higher up, likely a manager, who gave me his cell number and told me to call him if I ever need anything. I was very impressed with Robert as he made me feel like a valued customer. I have used other plumbers in the years that I have worked as an apartment manager but have never had such personable plumbers to work with as the Best Plumbing plumbers. The only problem is looking them up on the Internet you can't find them under Best Plumbing because every plumbing outfit in the area comes up if you Google Best Plumbing. So you'll need to put their number in your phone so you don't have to Google them if you need to call them while you're out of your office. Note: This says I'm in San Francisco and that's not right. Not sure where that came from.

I tried the service once. My wife found it on Angie's list. He did not fix the problem but charged me for almost one hundred dollor for doing nothing. I just don't understand. Then he gave me a quote for fixing the hot water pipe alone for $900, and he said I had to find somebody else to put the open dry wall back, which probably cost another $800.  I would not trust him any more and  found another company. They finished the whole project for only $400.

We recently bought an old house and both our sinks soon became totally stopped up so that we had to scoop water out of the basins after every use. We finally decided to stop procrastinating and find a plumber. Being new to the area and new homeowners, we weren't sure where to start. Best Plumbing had been recommended on Nextdoor.com, and after reading reviews of many plumbers in the area, I contacted two companies --a call to another company and Best Plumbing (by online chat) to see pricing and who would be able to come out sooner. Best Plumbing called me back right away while the other company never did.

Over the phone Best gave me the estimate to unstop our two drains. I asked and they told me there is a charge for them to come out to give a firm estimate, but it's applied to the bill if I let them do the work, which seemed reasonable to me -- time is money and if they make a trip all the way out to our house and take the time to examine everything, it makes sense they'd charge for the time to do that. I liked that the charge would be applied to the bill if I went with them. They offered I could be put on call that day, but I decided to make an appointment for a couple days away for a time range of 11am to 2pm. They said they'd call half an hour before showing up.

On the day of the appointment, I got a call exactly within the appointment window to let me know they were on their way and would be there in half an hour, and within half an hour the truck pulled up. I must say I was pleasantly surprised to see it was a woman who stepped out of the truck as it was just to be me home during the appointment. Plus, it's just really cool to have a woman doing the plumbing.

Michele was very professional and friendly. She was careful to wipe her feet every single time she came into the house from getting equipment from the truck (even I forget to do that sometimes). She greeted our curious cats. She looked over the drains and gave me an estimate to fix them both (the same as what I was quoted), but let me know both traps would most likely need to be replaced, and gave me the additional price for that. She made sure I was okay with the price before she did anything. Best Plumbing also offered a service that for a one time fee she would come back every year to check all our plumbing for leaks, and it would then give me a discount on the prices quoted. I agreed to the price (to clear both drains and replace both traps as well as the protection program), and Michele got to work. It seemed only a short time later she was done. Both sinks ran perfectly, and there were new traps installed. And these had been drains seriously clogged for a long time that nothing we'd tried to do on our own had worked. Not a single drop of water on the floor when she was done, everything was totally clean as if the sinks had been cleared by magic. I signed the paperwork and everything was done. The sinks are still running well, not a single leak. We are really happy with her work.

I'm so pleased with Michele and her quick, neat, professional services, and will definitely call her again for any plumbing needs. Thank you, Michele!

Curt Whitehead with Best Plumbing came out to fix a leak under my kitchen sink.  Within 15 minutes he had the leak fixed and then he checked an outside faucet I was having trouble with.  Curt went out and checked for parts in his truck and voila next thing I know my outside faucet is fixed too!  

That darn outside faucet had been broken for months and I just couldn't see calling a plumber to fix the darn thing.  If I had known how great Best Plumbing is I would have called right away.  Both leaks are fixed and the bill was very reasonable.  I will be calling Best Plumbing any time I have a plumbing issue that's for sure!!!

When it comes to plumbing, I am not looking for a whole lot... I need someone that can come to me, fix the problem and treat me fairly. I feel that is exactly what I got today with Best.
Michelle came out exactly when promised and was friendly, efficient and respectful of my workspace that she was in. She gave me a written quote detailing what she expected to need to do and answered all the questions I had. Because we were both working in a small space, it was nice that she was also easy to carry on a conversation with!

I work as a maintenance technician at an antiquated 1929 apartment building in downtown seattle. For the last 8 years Joshua Norris and Dave Hulke have been my goto plumbers in a building requiring constant repairs ranging from drain clearing to complicated and sometimes messy and extensive projects requiring the utmost skill and plumbing knowledge. They've always had my back and have never left an issue unresolved, always clean up after themselves and their customer service is top notch (the tenants love them). I couldn't imagine using anybody else at this point. They are hands down the best in the business.

The most exasperating, deceiving  and worst customer service one can have from  beginning and to end with no resolution to date.  The manager Steve, had given  me an estimate and once the job was done, he almost quadrupled his price and asked his plumber Josh to have my elderly aunt, who is obviously not authorized to sign anything, was made to believe she was just signing the original cost.  It was more like she was coerced, Josh fully knew that I am the owner of the condo and only person who should be authorized to sign. If he was going to raise his price from the estimate I would think any decent trusted company would call me first to get my approval.
We called several times to complain and Steve just kept saying the phone is choppy, or call back which we did.
The work itself was unsatisfactory as it still doesn't flush properly. The work is far from being in functioning order, Josh the plumber did not do his Job well.   We attempted again to resolve this issue and yet again Steve kept either hanging up, say call again and his famous line of the connection is choppy.  I told him I will pay for the amount that he originally gave me, now he is threatening me that he will take me to small claims court.  No customer Service to even come Close to the their Company name of Best plumbing, worst customer service ever, the work is far from being done.  He has become very nasty.  This is the last thing I need after coming back from the death of my father!
Whomever reads this should think twice before ever considering this company. Please do not use this Far from Best Plumbing if you don't want to get any kind of customer service or completed work.
I am a very good client who treats other businesses I use and compliment, credit them when credit is due.  This is one of my first review that is bad because I speak the truth.

The Situation
We were hosting 400 people for an event at our business for two solid days.  At the morning break of day 2 someone walked into the men's restroom and found it flooded in water.

When I was made aware of the situation I got out my emergency contacts list and dialed Best Plumbing.  Jillian answered the phone and let me know that she would send some ASAP.

Collin showed up within a short time and we had a fully operating bathroom before the lunch break.  

Best Plumbing was AMAZING!  Thank you for being so quick and responsive to our needs.

Loved these guys. James showed up on time.  Same day dIspatcher called and gave me a 20 min warning that he was in his way, he went right to work and was on task the whole time.  He really had to figure out where the back up was coming from.  It was a ice maker that was not sealed properly at instillation that over flowed into my living room then into my basement    Job done and believe me It was extreme. Thank you James !!.

We had significant water damage resulting from a faulty valve in our tub.  From the beginning, Best Plumbing was nonresponsive and unprofessional.  Their plumber who diagnosed the problem left on an extended vacation without telling us, and Best wouldn't send anyone out to conduct the repair in his absence.  Finally, 6 weeks later, the repair is done BUT the handle was replaced incorrectly and leaks...a lot.  I called to have them come back out.  They refused to fix it without charging us, because the plumber is no longer with their company and they can't verify my story.  I would avoid these guys for repair at all costs.

My husband and I are adding a bathroom to our basement.  We were told by our contractor that we needed to buy a valve.  Of course we didn't know what that was, but we went into Best Plumbing on Saturday.  I was hesitant to go in after reading the reviews about attitude and poor service, but I found it to be quite the opposite.
We talked to the sales person who was new, but friendly and helpful.  We described what we wanted and he explained how we could do it and what we needed to buy.  We also asked for a rain shower head and he referred us to the much less expensive American Standard.
Prices are high, of course, because it's Kohler and other pricey brands.    I do believe that for some things you definitely get what you pay for.  Our friends bought cheaper bathroom fixtures and after 9 months their faucet started to rust.   Bathroom fixtures are ridiculously marked up, but they are marked up everywhere.    When I asked about pricing, the  guy there was very frank with me and understood that we did not have unlimited money.  He reviewed and gave us options and helped us to get the most cost-effective items.
I thought they were very helpful and friendly and would go back if I had any other questions.

As a home-owner in the Wallingford area, I was very interested in helping to support a local plumbing company for a small project of installing a new 3 Clean-Out for the Sewer outside the kitchen.

I was given an estimate of 1-hour, but the guy said it was a simple and they had a min of 1 hour. Far enough. Once done, the work looked good but he said they would bill me. Looking around the site, the guy left an invoice for the materials he used, which was purchased from Dunn Lumber and it was funny how cheap they bought the items for...

A week later, I get a bill for 2.5x what was expected and the labor jumped to 1.5h at $100/hour. In addition, there was an addition $14.95 in Mobilization Expense and $107 in parts... hmm..

I called the billing department and was put on speakerphone with a guy named John, who obviously didn't like to speak to people as he was immediately a jerk and continued to interrupt me during every sentence. You just hear his eyes rolling, as I asked about the $15 Mobilization Expense, which he said everyone was charged for their gas (I live 5 blocks). When I attempted to ask about the labor-estimate going over, I was interrupted with Do you have a written estimate. As soon as I responded that he didn't leave one, they guy jumped right into fighting about how they always leave and estimate.... then it was a fight about what his name was, well don't you guys know or have a copy of the estimate... then the d*ck was off to the races again about if the guy was tall or lanky. I guess so, the guy was tall, but I didn't think about mentally insulting the guy at the time...

Come on. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Best Plumbing & Rooter at 4129 Stone Way N, 98103. There's tons of companies out there that would love to do some business in today's economy, this is just NOT one of them.

This review is for the Best Plumbing showroom on Stone Way. The showroom could be bigger/have more examples of sinks/faucets/bath fixtures, and their hours are pretty limited (closed weekends). However, the staff are super friendly/helpful and didn't put any pressure on me to buy from them. Kiersten went out of her way to look up some prices for me, even though I dropped in without an appointment. Although I ended up getting our kitchen sink and faucet elsewhere, I will definitely go back to Kiersten for a consultation when we get ready to remodel our bathroom.

This place is terrific. We had great service, not crowded. We looked at great brands of sinks, toilets, bathtubs, faucets..... Eli helped us figure out what would work with our specs and budget. The previous week we had been pretty unimpressed with Morgan's service and showroom. My advice would be to go Best instead.

The price was outrageous for the work performed. They arrived on time, did the work quickly but the hourly rate ended up being OVER $300 per hour. When I called to discuss this with their service manager, I had to admit we agreed to the price before the work was performed. I explained that I trusted the plumber to be providing a fair estimate, which not having plumbing experience and understanding the scope of what it may take left me at a disadvantage. In attempting to explain to him that we trusted the plumber's estimate to be fair - but for the time and overall cost of the project in the end it seemed like we were charged twice as much as we should have paid.The service manager simply said, I don't know how much more fair we could have been than providing the price upfront. Though I understand his position, I do not trust Best Plumbing and will never recommend nor use this company again.

While they do indeed have a beautiful showroom there are very few prices posted on products, and if you have ever shopped for plumbing fixtures you know that they can vary widely.  A nice saleswoman helped us and discussed our project and showed us some lavatory faucets. When we asked about price she said she was showing us mid-range items.  Great, I think.  Then when we go to the catalog to look up the simple, modern faucet that all of the lines make these days she says, it is $345.  I seem a bit surprised and she says that's showroom honey.  She then told us to go to the home stores or look online but be wary of the online products because the are older models...do they have expiration dates?  It's brass and chrome?  Anyway...won't be going back. There are other showrooms in Seattle that are more helpful and have prices posted.

Beware.  The service call rate of 79.00 will only get the repair man to drive up to your house.  Once they have arrived you will be given a contract to sign stating you will pay not only the $79 for them to show up, but another $185 just to look at the furnace and diagnose the problem.  One hour later I was informed that a part was needed that would take a week to get in stock (meanwhile, I will be without hot water for over a week).  He told me I could pay extra for overnight shipping of the part, but that would cost a lot more.  I decided to look around myself.  I found another plumber that had the piece in stock, came the next morning and fixed the furnace for a total cost that was hundreds lower than the Best Plumbing Technician quoted me.  After paying almost $300.00 to Best Plumbing for fixing absolutely nothing, I felt it was necessary to write a review (something I have never done before!).  I'm wishing could choose 0 stars.

We needed a plumber ASAP and since I live in Fremont and has seen the great reviews we decided to call this company. We called first thing in the morning for a same day appointment. They said they would be there at 2. We waited. After we hadn't seen anyone or gotten a call at 2pm we finally called them to find out that they weren't able to come today (Tuesday) and the next appointment wouldn't be until Thursday. If we were the first people to call Tuesday and you knew you wouldn't be able to fit us in, why wouldn't you call back and give us the next available appointment the next day before it fills up. Now I am unable to use my toilet for another day. Thankfully we were able to find a plumber my Ballard who could get us an appointment and actually know how to communicate with customers and commit to an appointment. No concern for other people's Time... Will not be trying this company again.

I am very disappointed with this company.  I received an estimate from them that was 5x higher than four other plumbing estimates ($2600 versus $500-$600).  On top of that, the estimate arrived many days after they said it would.  I used them in the past and was pleased with their work but that was about 10 years ago.  After reaching out to them this last time and seeing how inflated their estimate was, I would not recommend them.

I just want to say how happy I am with the service from David Hulke. Showed up on time and immediately went to work on our leak in the basement. Within a few hours the leak was stopped and our basement was dry. He also cleaned up the mess caused by the leak. Thank you David!

I've used Best Plumbing at two different residences over the last six years, and they always provide a high level of service. Recently, my wife and I purchased an old home in Seattle that needed a lot of updating plumbing wise. Jimmy, at Best Plumbing, completed the scope of work in about a day in a half, which was incredible considering how much of the old piping needed to be torn out and replaced. I can't speak for every plumbing engineer at this company, but Jimmy far exceeded our expectations, and is a true professional. I highly recommend using Jimmy and look forward to working with him in the future.

Found them through a good deal on Angie's list.  They were initially responsive, friendly, and they provided us with a fair quote for some work to replace plumbing for a shower.  Unfortunately they were flaky when it came to actually performing the work.

We scheduled work with them over a week out, but they didn't show up at all that day and didn't call to tell us.  When we called them to ask them what was going on, they were initially clueless and then they wanted to tentatively schedule us in again for 3 days later but wouldn't commit to showing up on time.

This business was too flaky and non-committal for us, so we hired someone else.  I would avoid them if you have a time sensitive project or a busy schedule.

what a lousy service! we called to have a plumber out on a Saturday,  mind you we called the previous Wednesday to schedule a plumber to fix our kitchen sink. we were told to expect a person between 9A and 12:30. Then we get a call that the plumber is on an emergency call, then find out he cant be guaranteed to even be here by 2p!WTF they only have one qualified plumber? This service sucks! Save your money, go call anyone other then this service. my girlfriend told the guy the reason we even scheduled for Saturday is like most everyone else we work during the week! We called Steves Plumbing, guess who is on there way same day service? Yup Steves Plumbing, Woodinvilles Number One Plumber, who will be here in less then an hour! Call Steves Plumbing for all your needs.

I had stopped using Best Plumbing several years ago when the person they sent started to try and sell me all these services when the actual repair was quite simple and not expensive. If I had allowed him to upsell me, I would have been ripped off big time. The other day I decided to give them another chance, as my normal plumber was out of town. They sent Clay to do the work. He was honest, wore a clean uniform, told me the cost upfront, and did it efficiently and with no effort to cheat me. I have to confess that the Best Plumbing I did business with this time is an entirely new company and a level of professionalism that I had never seen before from them. Good work!!

I got a call from Best Plumbing's Service Manager, Dave Derring today, he stated he will order the correct toilets and fix this travesty that has happened. He will get back to me on Monday or Tuesday and schedule an appointment with me can come out and replace my two toilets with the proper toilets. He was really amazingly nice and was well aware of my problem of the low bowl problem and water issue. And that every so many times you flush the water can spay up and land on the toilet seat. When all is said and done I will totally amend my review. I truly believe that there was some miscommunications with the person who originally took my call and set up the appointment etc. Thank you Dave Derring, I look forward to speaking with you next week. Thought this would all be said and done by last week and or even this week. 12/1/2017 All is good, Dave Derring sent Aaron over and replaced the toilets that were the problem. Have two toilets with deep bowls. My grandson's day care lady was there when Aaron was replacing the toilets. She said the toilet we had was terrible, she said when  she flushed it all the toilet water came up and sprayed her. BTW, Best Plumbing did this as a Warranty Exchange, NO CHARGE.  Thank you so much Best Plumbing, you have totally restored my faith in your company. Aaron , thank you so much you are such a gentleman. Best Plumbing has been so good in the past, and I look forward to using them in the future as well. Best Plumbing's experienced service representative, Collin, worked on our tankless, on-demand water heating system yesterday and correctly diagnosed the problem of hot water shutting off mid-use as a problem with the gas pressure which would need to be addressed Puget Sound Energy.  He went the extra mile and wrote meticulous notes on the invoice to explain to a PSE service person what he had done to narrow down on the cause of the problem.   The PSE representative came today, tested pressure, confirmed that Collin's diagnosis was correct and fixed the problem.  We appreciated the good service and will use Best Plumbing again.

The most exasperating, deceiving and worst customer service one can have from beginning to end with no resolution to date.  The plumber STEVE, had given me an estimate and took my credit card information and once the job was done, he quadrupled his price with no prior authorization from me.  He had my housekeeper who is elderly and obviously not authorized to sign anything, was made to believe she was just signing the original cost.  It was more like she was used to get a signature for the final cost of the service; Steve fully knew that I am the owner of the condo and only person who should be authorized to sign. If he was a professional plumber as what the company sends out, once he knew the job was beyond his capacity, he should STOPPED and notified me by phone since he knew my cell number also, as a professional, he should have known the service needed, was beyond the responsibility of a homeowner since I live in a high-rise condo. His assessment was evidenced of this since he advised my housekeeper that the issue was a building related issue and not my responsibility. However, he continued to work on the plumbing issue, which entailed more work than what he estimated and DID NOT GET ANY PRIOR approval from me the owner of the unit and was beyond his scope of expertise which he notated on the receipt. He called me once he was done in my unit only to recommend that the job should be contracted outside since he is unable to resolve the problem.
When I got home my housekeeper gave me the receipt which reflected an amount that was NEVER discussed or approved. She informed me that plumber had her sign the paper to assure that the service was done, in effect; he made her sign a cost that she was not aware of. She simply thought she was signing what was discussed and approved by me prior to plumber's departure.
I therefore called BEST PLUMBINGS office and spoke to one of the managers, whose name is JOSH. I disputed the amount and expressed my being surprised with the final cost the plumber had charged. JOSH simply responded that there was a signature and that was that. I emphasized the fact that the amount was NEVER authorized and the signature on the receipt was not mine and neither the person given authority to sign the receipt, was she only there to allow the plumber entry to the unit since I was at work. Josh, suggested instead that I should bring this up with my buildings management company.
The building manager called another PLUMBING COMPANY to get a 2nd opinion on the plumbing issue, once the other company came, they were able to resolve the problem and the bill was charged to the building management company since this was a internal plumbing issue and not a condo owners responsibility.
I had my cousin call while I was at work to clarify some information listed on the website of BEST PLUMBING, their website suggested SATISFACTION GUARANTEE which JOSH said meant, they try their best to satisfy their customers and offered no explanation for the increase in invoice. My cousin also verified if whether there is a trip charge for assessing plumbing issues, JOSH response was, IT DEPENDS? My cousin expressed how angry we were for the UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES for service which was not resolved. My cousin tried to explain that we were willing to negotiate the charges, however, JOSH would say, the line was CHOPPY and to call back and she did this numerous times and his response was line was CHOPPY and DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO!
To date this issue has not been resolved and he threatened to take me to SMALL CLAIMS COURT. Is this the way you guarantee that you are the BEST?
I have been deceived and inconvenienced and this has caused me tremendous stress. My experience with BEST PLUMBING has been such, described above, that I will WARN other consumers to think twice before using BEST PLUMBING.

If I could do it again, I'd go somewhere else.  I don't normally write reviews, but this was such a poor experience, I wanted to warn people about it.

We were doing a major home remodel and needed to purchase fixtures for our kitchen and 2 bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, sink and shower faucet fixtures.  

The showroom is nice and gives you a good idea of what is out there, but they were roughly 30-40% more expensive on some items.  When brought to their attention, they said it was due to their showroom itself.  They were not willing to budge on price, so we decided to split the difference.  Buy some items from them and some elsewhere as they were very friendly and we wanted to give them credit for the work they did.

That was our mistake.  The items we ordered on the Internet came in 3 days; the order was perfect and all was accounted for, not to mention we saved $$$.  With Best Plumbing, we ordered roughly 10 items, half of which were wrong.  We got someone elses sink, extra items, items that we never looked at, etc.  I'm still not sure that our bill is correct.  Furthermore, these items were not simple to fix.  One item that we were told would take 3 weeks to get corrected took closer to 8 weeks and we never had proactive communication from them.  We either had to call or email (rarely answered) or stop in to hunt down our sales person.  Not the best way to develop good customer service.

I would use Best Plumbing for their showroom and that is all.

I was referred to this company by a family member who happens to be a contractor. He said he uses them often and I benefited from his experience. I found deciding on bathroom 'trim' overwhelming and their salesperson Eli Farrell made it fun. He literally walked me through each product, from standing in the showroom shower so I could feel the different shower head delivery systems, to pointing me towards an affordable accessory line that matched my budget and my taste. He was very knowledgeable, efficient and communicative about shipping dates and delivery times. From beginning to end I had a great experience with this company & highly recommend them. Ask for Eli!

We hired Best Plumbing to correct a leak and a faulty installation under our kitchen sink. They were on time, super polite, and efficient. The plumber looked at the problem, explained exactly what was required to fix it as well as how much it would cost. There was also a small problem with the garbage disposal, which he took care of. Overall, very nice.

Because of a medical situation that required us to install a hand held shower head, replacing a fixed head shower, we wanted to change made as quickly as possible. They made a special effort to get the parts needed the day after we called (the head we wanted was not in stock), and installed it on that second day. Kudos to the showroom/stock people who got the exact shower head we wanted, and put together a reasonably priced package of parts resulting in an excellent installation.
And thanks to the installer, Rod, for working quickly, cleanly, and taking our wishes into account for a very satsifying installation. I would highly recommend Best Plumbing.

I had just come from Morgan's down the street and was thoroughly unimpressed with them. Frankly they were in the 2 digit IQ range so I figured things couldn't get worse.  

Best on Stone Way does have a lovely showroom and we found a bunch of stuff we were looking for our house remodel.  But the ATTITUDE I got when I started asking questions about pricing and brands was jolting. The sales person almost cut me off abruptly and refused to give me more information until she knew whether my contractor was going to do the purchase or if I was. She was arrogant and lacking in tact--smiling the entire time. Now I get it, people go into stores these days, get ideas, go to the Internet and save money by plugging in the SKUs or model numbers. Contractors, similarly, go to their suppliers so they can get best prices and make their 15%.  These brick and mortar guys, like BEST are struggling to maintain a business model that works and not be the showroom for the internet bottom feeding retailer. But instead of explaining this to me in a sympathetic way, I felt immediately alienated and pissed.  Had they explained their situation nicely I might have given them the business anyway--assuming that their prices were within reason. Heck for such a nice showroom and good ideas I would have paid a slight premium.  So, armed with minimal knowledge about the products I wanted, I was able within a few hours, google most stuff and identify exactly what I wanted and circumvent Best.  Exactly what they didn't want me to do.  Their prices were definitely higher--much too high, and given their attitude, there is no way I will give them business. They need to figure out a new business model that is in line with e-commerce in this century, not last century.

My single star is as a result of their ridiculously high prices. My new kitchen faucet, which was 3 parts: faucet, lotion dispenser, and disposal switch cost just shy of $750.00 install. The technician was here for 2 hours total - that included paperwork and cleanup. His work, BTW was top notch.....I just take issue with paying $750.oo for 2 hours of labor. He also spent about 10 minutes replacing the pop up part of the  drain in my bathroom sink in that 2 hours of labor - that service alone was $85.
In all fairness, he showed me his quote in advance, but I concluded that must be the going rate these days and had to suck it up. When I went to file away my invoice, I came across the invoice from my last installation. It was 4 years ago from Aurora plumbing. The same amount of labor that Aurora did 4 years ago (on a different faucet, which I just upgraded out of personal preference) was only $247.00. Labor rates can't have gone up so exponentially in 4 years, get real! $750 Best Plumbing, $250 Aurora Plumbing. My mistake! I'll NEVER be calling Best again for any service! Not to mention I kept getting sold on some $89 value rate buy in. Pay and extra $89 one time to get 10% off most future service rates. HA....they need to offer 50% of to ever get me to call back.
I called their service mgr, who told me they bid on the job vs hourly.....since my faucet could have potentially taken a week, I guess that fair! ha.

They fixed the problem, which was that three drains needed to be snaked out, and that cost about $350.  The mistake I made was thinking I should have them replace these other things while they are here, and so I paid an additional $800 for them to replace a piece of pipe under a sink, and two water feed hoses.  I'm not saying they led me astray - they told me what it would cost, and I just thought I don't have time to do this myself, and then I regretted that very much.  I could have easily done it myself, and it would have cost between $20 and $50.  Anyway, I'm not complaining about their work - they did a fine job - I'm complaining about their fees:  they do this set-rate thing ($150 to replace a piece of pipe, etc) and if you're not careful you can end up paying ten times what the job would cost if they did it hourly.  I guess what I'm trying to say here is find a plumber who works by the hour - even if they have a minimum per-visit fee - it will end up way, way cheaper.  I'll never use Best again.  I'll find a Plumber who works by the hour.

The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because it depends on who you get to help you when you go into the store.  If you are lucky enough to get Eli then it is a 5 star experience.  We have a small bathroom remodel and we had some ideas going into the store of what we wanted.  Eli took the time to understand our project and what was important to us.  He then helped us pick out each fixture explaining the design rules to follow.  It really made us feel like we made the right choices.  He also was very helpful in explaining some of the installation procedures to my husband since we are installing things ourselves.  He was patient, extremely helpful and knowledgeable.  We have been to the store before and had other salesmen assist us with inconsistent customer service.  I will be keeping Eli's business card to make sure he is available when we visit in the future.

Recently they did a $20K project in my house. I give them credit for completing the project on time and budget. But, I am not satisfied with the quality of the work. The biggest problem seems to be those guys don't test what they did. For example, I ordered a circulation pump to conserve hot water. But when I used it for the first time, it took 5 minutes to get any warm water. They wired some pipes wrong that turned back hot water to the tank! And the diverter volve for the soaking tub shut water flow completely. Again, it is as if they never even checked what they did. When the guy came over to fix the diverter, he said something like, oh, I thought this would happen. and proceeded to blame the manufacturer. True that may be, you'd wonder why you paid them to do the job in the first place.

We had an excellent experience with Best.  The original call was not cheap but reasonable. Actually about half of what we were quoted by Southwest Plumbing. We were told the work was guaranteed for 90 days.  There was a minor problem and when we called they sent the original plumber, Steve, back to our home.  It actually took two more visits to solve the problem but Steve was always prompt and pleasant and worked the issue until adequately resolved. And there was never an issue of any additional charges.

They sent a woman over here who was in a hurry to get to her dental appt. She could not get the bolt undone to run the snake and they could not send someone to replace her. She is going to come back tommorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!Another day with dirty cloths.

I called Best Plumbing last week when I started having problems with my sewer backing up into my basement.  When I called in I spoke with Brian, who was very patient and helpful.  Brian listened to all my concerns and told me that he would be sending out a service plumber to fix my problem immediatley.   I was very pleased when the plumber showed up on time, very professional, and prepared.  As the repair was being done the plumber detected a serious problem with a broken part of the line.  Within the hour the plumber had called Gene Serdahl, a manager, to give me a quote on the necessary work.  I felt very comfortable with Gene, he was honest, helped me understand the problem, gave me options with no pressure, and ended up giving me a great price.  
I ended up having all the repairs made by Best Plumbing and I couldn't be more happy.  The work was done quickly and efficiently.  I will reccomend Best Plumbing to anyone who is looking for good, reasonably priced work.  Thank you so much to Brian, the service plumber, and Gene who turned my problem into a quick fix!!

I have worked with Best Plumbing for over twenty yearsfor my home and business. What I like about working with this business is that I can deal directly with Bill Lillines, the owner, and know I will get taken care of. He gaurantees his work, and has always backed up the quality of the work his company does. No fake gaurantees here.

I don't know why anyone would write a negative review about best plumbing. Their name says it all!  My salesman, Eli, couldn't have been more helpful. He found me a product that is beautiful, and beautifully made right here in the USA. When one component came missing a set screw, Eli got right on top of it. And when another component wound up at the show room address, instead of my address, the owner actually delivered the product! Admittedly, she lives in my neighborhood, but that is really going the extra mile. Would highly recommend Best to anyway winding their way through the complications of a bathroom build or remodel.

Had Collin come out to fix a leaky pipe under sink.  He was great, he took time to explain why the leak happened in terms that I could understand.  He actually took off his shoes at my front door, I was very impressed.  I recommend all my friends to use Collin at Best Plumbing.

I had used a different plumbing service in the past and they were fine but I was always shell shocked at the price. So when I had a broken water heater, I asked a neighbor if they could recommend a plumber and they referred me to Best Plumbing. I'm glad they did! The nice thing about Best Plumbing is that they broke down the cost for me in an itemized way so that I could talk through each task with the plumber and was able to remove some items from the list that I didn't need for this job. It was nice to know that there was more work that needed to be done but I wasn't ready to spend the money just yet. In the end, I got exactly what I needed and I was thrilled with the work they did.

I've used Best for years and always found them to deliver quality service for a fair (even if probably not the cheapest) price. My latest incident involved dripping water from an unknown source, and since an initial cursory look revealed no problem, I was ready to dismiss it as condensation from the A/C. Jeff persisted in looking (not easy since all pipes are behind walls and ceilings) and found a leak in the hot water line. The whole process of search and fixing took about 4 hours, but he fixed it for the originally quoted price. I've heard some plumbers charge by the hour, and that would have caused much anxiety and damage to my wallet. And his professional persistence saved me from a potential disaster had the leak been allowed to continue unaddressed.

Was referred by my condo management company and I was very pleased with the  best plumbing from the initial phone call to the excellent service that I received.  I liked it that the plumber covered his boots when he came in to my house.  Felt bad for him having to remove and put on so many times as he had did for every trip he had to make to his truck, but I really appreciate him doing that.  Also appreciate him being thorough, explaining what he was doing as worked, and offered tips and suggestions on how to do things as well as how to save money.  Will definitely  consider best plumbing for any future work.  Oh yeah, they will come out and give an estimate first, no charge and no feeling guilty if you don t commit to using them.  Another reason I like them.  Price Range cannot select. Plumbing is pricey.  Would say best plumbing was good to reasonable and not feel taken advantage of.

A good review for Best Plumbing is long overdue! As a local business owner, we have used Best Plumbing for plumbing issues and kitchen/bathroom fixtures and parts for years and have always been satisfied. We recently had a toilet lid break (an odd occurrence!) and they were out to replace it right away and replaced the part no charge! I was very impressed. Thanks to all at BP!

The service department in this place sucks big time!  I had a plumber come out and give me an estimate on how much it would cost to have a new sink installed in my kitchen.  He was very nice and said he would email me the next day with the estimate.  The estimate never came, so I gave them a couple of days leeway and then called them.  The woman I spoke to on the phone said she would find the plumber and ask him and would get right back to me.  It's a week later and she has never gotten back to me.  I decided to call again this morning and inquire again (I have already decided to to use them, but I am curious as to what the estimate was.)  The same woman answered the phone.  I told her what the situation was and that I wanted to know what the estimate was.  She put me on hold for FIVE minutes (where I had to listen to some music and a man's voice extolling the virtues of Best Plumbing and how much they value their customers, etc. etc.) and when she finally came back on the line she said she would have to look up my paperwork and would call me right back.  (What was she doing while I was on hold - taking a break?) Well, she has never called me back. Although the people in the showroom were helpful and nice, I will NEVER use this place.  They obviously don't care about their customers, and they sure don't want MY business.

in july 2011, my husband and i went to best plumbing to find everything for the new bathroom we were creating with our home remodel. we chose the toilet, sink, shower, faucets, etc. and were told by our sales person, eli, that everything on our list was in stock and could be available within 2 weeks. knowing we'd need to have all of the bathroom stuff in the house by mid-october for the contractor, i ordered everything at the end of august, just to be safe. it's 11/1 and we're still missing the shower wall mount.

i know things get delayed. the problem is been the lack of information and communication back to me, the customer. if i were to have known about these delays ahead of time i could have actually done something about them, scheduled the plumber and contractor differently. but now i'm screwed. eli's never called me to give me updates on my order when he realizes things won't be in when he told me they would--i have to call him. or i show up per when he tells me things will be in and they're not there. (actually he did call me once--to tell me that my medicine cabinet was on back order. and i said i didn't order a medicine cabinet and he said wrong number and hung up.). honestly, i don't think he keeps track of the orders by customer. he seems to have to work hard remember who i am and what i ordered every time i call him. and he seems to want to be anywhere but on the phone with me--even before i was a frustrated customer--just kind of bored and doing this to pass the time.

we've spent a lot of money with best (our contractor used them for some items on our previous remodel). but once this shower comes in, we won't spend another dime. i know a lot of people who spend a lot of money on their homes and they will all know how i feel about best plumbing. i will highly suggest they go elsewhere.

I had a clog in a bathtub drain and fortunately Best Plumbing had a Groupon special going on.  Three years ago I had a toilet clog that ended up costing me $1200 in added recommended service from another Plumbing company so I feared having to call Best Plumbing. My house is old and I always fear the worse when there is a problem. Best Plumbing did an excellent job at alleviating this fear in the future.  David showed up in time, assessed the situation and cleared the clog.  He explained to me how the old plumbing system worked and was concerned there may be issues with my p-trap and possible leakage.  In fact, my TV home improvement show trained brother-in-law and his friends had tried to repair a leak in the tub a year earlier so leaks were possible and I wanted a professional opinion.  Since there was a hole in the ceiling under the tub, David was able to show me the pipes and leaking gaskets.  He recommended (But Did Not Push) me to replace the pipes and gaskets in the future.  He gave me up front pricing and showed me a quoted price of $680 + tax for the parts and labor (about a 4 hr job).  Now that I know its not going to cost me a tremendous amount of money, I am not afraid to get this issue resolved... and I plan to use Best Plumbing!
