Our garbage disposal has been leaking for weeks.  We finally got tired of placing a bucket under the sink. We decided on Sunday night that we'd find a plumber to fix this.  Our expectation was we'd have to wait a week or so due to the New Year Holiday.  We called D Young at 9 am and were surprised when they said they could be here by noon!
The guys were on time and really friendly. And knowledgeable. What a good crew. They jumped right in and were done in less than an hour. Oh, and the price was right as well!
I will recommend D Young's to everyone.

I recently had a service call for a minor sink drainage issue & the entire appointment was excellent from start to finish. My technician showed me the problem & explained what he did to correct it. Problem solved quickly & area spotlessly clean after. The quoted price was honored & fair. I definitely plan to use D Young's for my future needs & have passed on their info for my neighbors in our small HOA as we like to use the same companies. Great job!

Had several plumbing issues recently. Used D Young's and got prompt help at reasonable rates. Tech David was super friendly and helpful, very attentive to our needs.

David, the plumber who came to our house, was very professional and courteous.  I highly recommend this business and trust that they aren't trying to make money on your situation.  Very good service!

It's rare to find a service business that inspires such trust and loyalty. Upon our first call to them for a relatively minor issue, Guy (the owner) came out to our home himself. He was cheery, knowledgeable, and most importantly, focused on solving the issue in a way that avoided unnecessary costs and labor. I can assuredly say that not a single penny was spent unnecessarily to fix our issue.  If you're looking for a plumber that's honest, reliable, and feels like an uncle, this is the place.  

One warning though- guard your cats closely.  He almost walked away with ours after falling in love with it.

We had a plumbing problem, and called DeYoung Plumbing, as we had been referred to them. The dispatcher,  Lisa, did all she could to get a crew here today, and she succeeded.  They were fast and efficient. I want to thank them all, especially Lisa, for the great work.

Called them for a drain installation in the basement. Waited for a week for Mr. Guy Young to visit my house and take look. He looked like a very professional person. He reviewed what I want to do and promised to send an estimate until the end of day.
I was waiting for 4 days. I've called their office many times, and always received a response we'll send you an estimate today. After 4 days of waiting for an estimate, office lady told me sorry, but it will take at least a week to provide you an estimate.
I can't trust any workers to do a critical work in my house if they don't deliver what they promise even when it comes to estimating the price.

I love D Young's Plumbing. I had some plumbing issues in our house - I had called them earlier this year for an issue and they were quick, efficient and cost effective.
We then had another problem with our washer drain pipe. One plumbing outfit said that our drain pipe wasn't up to code. We paid them 50 bucks to tell us that.
I wasn't able to get D Young's out as quickly as we would of liked - so if the price had been right we would've gone with the other plumbing outfit - however the pricing was 1K up to 4K.
D Young's came out - snaked it out and charged up 210.00 plus tax. WOOT! Bonus - and while new homes need to be up to code, we don't need to change it out - it's been working like a charm and draining perfectly!

I have a mixed feeling about these guys.  The owner did the job and I was happy with the quality of his work. He seemed like a good guy too.  The issue came up while I was reviewing the invoice and raised questions.

I had some questions on couple lines (not the whole invoice) that showed up on the invoice.  The owner called me back and he was so upset out of nowhere.  He didn't even give me a chance to talk and kept going on and on (man... he talks really fast!).  I asked him (when I finally got a chance to talk).  I need you to know that It is my right to ask questions on the invoice  He said he understands but he is sick of people asking these as he is not trying to rip off (and saying he is cheaper than plumbing company XXXX).  And then he said his office lady is ready for my credit card #......!!!!

It took 16 days for me to get the invoice as the office lady didn't get my email right and so on.  Nobody from his office called me to follow up or anything during that time.  I voluntarily called to pay (and ask some questions) and this is what I get.

I hung up the phone and I am speechless.  I won't hire him again and don't think I can recommend him to anyone.  He was nice when there was no problem, but man.. he was hard to deal with when I raised some questions.

Received exceptional service from Paul and Jeremiah to solve a clogged line to our septic tank.  They were on time, professional, extremely gracious, efficient, and clearly knowledgeable.  Our issue, while overwhelming for us, didn't even phase them - they quickly got to work, solved the problem and cleaned up within half an hour.  They pointed out some other future potential problem spots and provided some recommendations which we also appreciate.  Thank you to the D Young team, we will certainly be calling again for our future plumbing needs!

Well, I found a water leak in my front yard, dug up the yard and found the leak, then tried to fix but I found the water was just too strong for my plumbing skills. I needed to find someone more qualified, I contacted D Young's plumbing and the owner came out and took a look, said no problem, had a crew come out and fixed it in a couple hours later.

The price is reasonable for the industry, and the professionalism and care taken from the owner, the very nice woman I talked to in the office, and the crew that came out to make the fixes.  I would recommend to anyone in the Kirkland area. There was no update, there is always recommendations, which I appreciated.

Do you enjoy having to spend way more money than you have to on return visits because the work wasn't done the first time around? Do you like being screamed at and verbally abused? Then D. Young is the plumber for you! Seriously, not only is the owner, Guy, borderline incompetent when it comes to his work (forgetting to reconnect appliances, failing to bring a tool for the one job he was specifically called in to do, leaving clogged drains or leaky faucets unfixed), but he is rotten to the core. He behaves extremely rudely while on the job, and has no qualms whatsoever screaming at his clients over trivial matters. Judging by the other reviews here, this is par for the course when it comes to Guy and his business.

My home flooded two months ago and D Young was brought in to fix the pipes responsible for it. All of my upstairs drains became blocked after the incident. I've been in a hotel this whole time, and up until now just assumed D Young's finished the job of fixing my drains while I was away. Turns out, they didn't. So a follow-up appointment was made for 2:00 yesterday. They arrived an hour late and gave no explanation or even an apology for the delay. Then they said they forgot the tool they needed and would have to come back tomorrow. Then they just walked out the front door without another word. I had to sprint outside and caught Guy just as he was getting into his truck. He was just going to leave without telling me when he'd be back! I asked what time I could expect them, and Guy just shrugged his shoulders and said we'll let you know.

By one PM today they hadn't called me, so I called them. Receptionist said she couldn't get hold of Guy, but that she'd keep trying. So I called again at one. Then at two. And three. No response. Finally, at 3:40, I got a hold of Guy, only for him to spew verbal abuse at me for a solid minute and a half. He was screaming into the receiver, calling me a liar, cussing me out, saying the sink was just fine when they left the first time (it wasn't, it's totally backed up and full of stagnant water, even a blind person could see there's an issue there), that I didn't know what I was talking about, and that they were not going to deal with it. Then he hung up on me.

This is not how you run a business, Guy. I'm shocked that you're still operating, let alone get so many recommendations, and now I highly suspect that all these glowing 5-stars are either paid off, or friends/family of Guy himself. So I beg all of you reading this, if you need a plumber, DO NOT CALL D YOUNG UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

I have to say, Guy, who came out to do the work was very polite, helpful and honest. He told me that the work I was told to have done by the guys that delivered my new washer & dryer didn't need done at all, the way the pipes are arranged is perfectly good, if not safer and easier to access in case of a leak. I felt bad because he didn't even charge me for his time, but he was extremely gracious and said it wasn't a problem at all.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for your professionalism and honesty, I will definitely call again when I need any plumbing work done.

I had to replace the Press Regulator Valve (PRV) in my house. I called a few vendors. D Young gave the most reasonable quote. On the service day, Paul and Connor came over. They were professional, friendly, and efficient. The existing pipe around the PRV was PVC. They told me that it was easy to be broken. So they replaced the sections connecting the two ends of PRV with a diff type of pipe (I don't know the exact name). There is an additional cost, but it was reasonable as well. They got the job done. I was happy with their service.

Guy is really nice, but the business is poorly managed and this will lead to your time being wasted. After the initial consult for my bathroom Reno they came by and took a look. He was unable to give me a labour estimate until I chose my faucet trim. After choosing my fixtures and sending them the information nobody responded. I send another follow up email a few weeks later and still no response. I waited another week and called in during business hours and I was informed that they would contact me next day with the quote. It has now been another week and nobody has called me back. I called on two spectate occasions during business hours with no answer. Just go with a different company.

So my younger brother did something foolish and put something down the toilet that he shouldn't have.  I contacted D. Young's Plumbing Inc and asked if they could come out.

In 45 minutes they had a technician at my place.  He was able to unclog the toilets.  The price was very reasonable.  He worked hard, was personable, and explained how to resolve the things in the future.

I would use them again in the future.

The cold water on my tub would not shut off.  They came out same day, fixed the problem quickly and a very reasonable price.  I highly recommend this service and would definitely use them again.  I called 6 other places and only 2 others even bothered to call me back.

I'm a long time repeat customer and I continue to give D Young's Plumbing rave reviews - they deserve 5 stars. Owner Guy came out the same day I called the office, and he actually explained why a toilet repair wasn't necessary at this time. That just confirms to me that the company is reliable, knowledgeable and honest.

I have had a leak under my kitchen sink for over a month.  I had my (former ) go-to plumber out to fix it and was told I needed a new water supply line.  I was told that they need a 3/4 connection for the line and it needed to be 18 long.  I called after a week had gone by and was told they were going to check with Guy, the owner because they couldn't find the part.  When I called the next week to find out what Guy had said, I learned he was on vacation.  They still hadn't found the right water line for my Grohe LadyLux faucet after 2 weeks.  I found it hard to believe that Grohe parts were SAE (inches) and not MM (metric).  I found it in 3 minutes on Amazon, sent them the information, called again to see if I should order it for them and I have still not heard from them 2 weeks later.  I have used D Young's for 20 years for everything including a kitchen remodel.  My former 5 star rating is now 1 and I have to find a new plumber to fix the leak.  Fortunately, it is a slow leak but we have a pan to collect the drip.  That has been in place for over a month.  Any business who treats a loyal customer like this doesn't deserve my business.  It is too bad that a long professional relationship had to end like this but oh, well.  Thanks a lot, Guy!

I had a leaky shower that needed fixing. Booking an appointment was a pleasure.
DYoung's did a great job and fixed it within 15mins of arrival. Polite and professional.

I called D Young after hours and left a message about my clogged drain. They called me back first thing in the morning and were able to come out as soon as I was available. He showed up on time and the clog was fixed within a half hour. He was very professional, friendly and reasonably priced. Will definitely make them my go to people when I have other plumbing issues.

We hired D Young plumbing to repair our sewer line. Guy and his team were able to come out on really short notice and worked tirelessly to get it sorted out so we could move back into our house. They worked through a terrible storm with tons of rain and wind to finish up. We had initially called a different company that gave us a really high estimate, Guy's team was able to do it for less and explained step by step what they were doing. We had complete confidence and trust in them and we'll definitely call them for all our future plumbing needs.

I had an amazing moral experience with D Young's Plumbing. Guy (the owner) came out to fix my sink but ran out of time and had to leave early. I think other companies would still charge me (which is fine I guess... cuz they did come out after all) but D Young did the right thing! They decided to drop the charges because they felt it wasn't right to charge if they didn't get the job done! I would totally recommend them and call them again myself! Thanks Guy!

$184. per hour for 2 jobs they described as 'easy'.  Why so expensive I ask. Answer:   Other companies are more expensive. [wow] One of the jobs needed to be redone but we would NEVER recommend this company!

I had a leaky sink/garbage disposal and I needed it fixed ASAP. I called D. Young Plumbing and they had a plumber here within 3 hours.  He was prompt, courteous, tolerant of my dog, and let me use a garbage disposal I'd purchased on my own instead of having to buy one from him.  He finished the job in just under an hour and cleaned everything up to a T.

I have had D Young's Plumbing out to install the gas line for a standby generator system. Guy the owner is very responsive and super friendly. They do great quality work from A to Z regarding plumbing. They do Natural Gas work as well!.. Hard to find a good plumber that does Natural Gas as well. I highly recommend D Young's plumbing for all your plumbing problems or needs you may have.

Guy showed up on time and didn't mess around.  Unplugged the sink and made sure there were no leaks. Was done in less than half an hour.  Good price too. Unconditional recommendation.

Zero stars (Yelp made me choose 1 star - they don't deserve that). They installed a water pressure reducing valve in Nov 2014, which started leaking and flooding my garage yesterday (5/27/15). I called them since it was less than 6 months since they did this work. They said they were too busy to come until early next week and started yelling when I tried telling them this was an emergency! They were extremely rude. I got another a plumber to come, and once they saw the issue, they said that the valve had not been installed correctly in the first place. The 2nd plumber suggested I call D. Young, since this should be still under warranty. He was trying to save me some money. I called them and Clark at D. Young was very rude and refused to serve me!! I would not recommend them to anyone, since they don't believe in customer service!!

They were able to show up on the same day I called, had the replacement HW Heater we needed and were done in an amazingly short amount of time. They looked at several other plumbing problems, and diagnosed the problem and the solution without trying to sell anything. They are a blast to work with, funny, polite and such
great master plumbers.

This is the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. These jokers came to our tenant's unit to fix the faucet in the shower. They TURNED THE SHOWER OFF to wait for a part to come in, leaving our tenants without a working shower for god knows how long.  I've never heard of anything more idiotic in my life. I'm livid and told them that it was unacceptable that my tenants don't have a shower now. Guy who is apparently the owner, told me to call someone else if I wanted the part. I told them to go back and undo the damage they have done, and he started yelling at me. How they're still in business is anyone's guess.

I called D. Young's Plumbing to address slow flow in the hot water in a house we inherited.  The office staff was very helpful and gave us useful information and scheduled an appointment to accommodate our schedule.  When he arrived, he was friendly and discussed the problem with me, running through a number of options, especially since we were trying to keep costs down, since the house is likely to be torn down in the next few years.  He gave me confidence in his ability to do the job, and if things went the way we hoped, the costs would be very reasonable.  
We then were setting a time for him to do the job, and he realized that we had to come a long way to be there.  He then talked with his office, made some adjustments to the schedule and was able to get a needed second person, and started the job an hour later!  As hoped, and as he expected, the job took a relatively short time as they back-flushed each sink, tub and shower faucet in less 90 minutes, as well as replacing a shower cartridge that had been leaking (charging less than Home Depot for the part).  Total cost was very reasonable ~$300, compared to the estimate I got from another well reviewed local company, who wanted only to replace all the  hot water plumbing for over $2500, and refused to entertain any other options.
What impressed me most was the time Guy took to understand the problem, consider options, and work with us around what our goals and needs were.
I will be asking them to do second job which he estimated at $400-$600.  Another company's estimate given for that job was $3500!!!
