Rudest customer service woman ever! Firstly, her voice is crazy loud and she just talks over you. She doesn't listen.  This place wasted 2 days of our time waiting for them and then  they did NOTHING. We want others to know to look elsewhere for plumbers.  I don't review often but this place deserves 0 stars.

I would never allow the crews from this place ever step into my house again. My home warranty company sent these jackwagons to my house to evaluate my hot water heater. Then the rep lied to the home warranty company and he never actually did a thorough exam of the hot water heater. He claimed that valve for the hot water line was not operating correctly. But I still got water fed through. clueless crew.
So, the company sent out another company to evaluate it. After that I ended up getting a new not water heater.
ALOT of people have issues with this clueless company.

Showed up after home warranty sent them.  Would not pull the toilet to clear the stoppage due to no clean out.   Would have been happier if they had asked on the phone if we had a clean out over the phone instead of coming out and saying can't help due to no clean out

Budget plumbing is a rip off.  Paid $95 with home warranty service.  They didn't fix the issue with my water heater.  Blamed it on my BRAND NEW water filtration system, told the warranty company and now the warranty company wont cover the claim.  Now I have to file paperwork and make several calls to get my money back and my water heater is still broken.  This company is a complete SCAM!

Do not use this company..... Budget Plumbing was assigned to me via my Choice Home Warranty Insurance Company.  I had a toilet that would not flush in my rental property.  The plumber who came out; I believe his name was Mark, who by the way had to continuously let me know he was from New York and was the best plumber around; said that there was a calcium buildup in the toilet and it had to be replaced.  To make a long story short, my insurance company denied the claim because toilet replacement was not covered.  So the cost to replace the toilet had to be an out of pocket expense for  my husband and I.  Mark quoted me a price of $425, but when I told him I could get it cheaper with someone else, he said he could do it for $325.00.  We agreed and the toilet was installed. Once installed, Mark said that my Flange was bent so he could not put the toilet on straight and now there was a gap which is causing the toilet to rock.  He said we didn't have to worry about it leaking and to fix the rocking, we just had to fill in the gap with caulking called Plaster of Paris around the bottom and that this was how they do it in New York. Well not even 2 days later, the toilet was leaking from the bottom where the gap was.  I called the main office and surprisingly she answered and agreed to send Mark back out.  No time frame was given and I assumed that I would receive a courtesy call to let me know what time the plumber would be back out, but that never happened.  Mark showed up without calling first and my tenant didn't get to the door in time because she was caring or her sick relative.  I tried to call the office serveral times but got no answer.  There voicemail says the best way to contact them is via text. So I had to text all the events that transpired that day with the plumber not calling in advance to tell us what time he was coming and how the toilet was still leaking.  The front office refused to answer the phone but would only text. So I gave up contacting them. I had to hire another plumber who said the toilet was not installed properly. Now everything works fine.  Please don't use this company under no circumstances!!! They are rude and very unprofessional and I don't ever want to do business with a company whose main method of communication is via text. Also after reading several other reviews, seems like this is how they operate daily.    Buyer beware!!!!

I thought this company was trying to take advantage of me as an out-of-town landlord, but it looks like they do this to everyone. My water heater broke and they wanted to charge me around $1,100 for fixes IN ADDITION to the cost of putting in a new water heater. Thankfully my property manager called them on their BS and sent another plumber who did the entire job (with a better water heater) for $1,000 total.

Write your home warranty companies and tell them not to hire this business anymore.

I have a 2-10 home warranty on my appliances.  Budget Plumbing and Drain Cleaning was assigned the work order for my 7 year old garbage disposal, which had a hair line crack in the outer casing.  Keep in mind when I submitted the work order, I wrote in the comments that it had this hair line crack. Miko and Mark came out to my house on 28 Nov 2017 for the service call, upon entering the house Miko stated....before we get started I just want to let you know the warranty company will not approve the repair because this is outside the normal wear and tear....I asked what is considered normal wear and tear, and he goes on to explain well you must have put something in the disposal to cause it to crack, because they normally only crack at the bottom.  He took a picture of the casing and said he was done....and asked for the $75 payment.  I hesitated due to the fact that Miko never looked inside the disposal, and only had been in the house 5 min.  On the work order....which I refused to sign stated G/D cracked leaking G/D is leaking cracked on the side.  Unit does need to be replaced can not say how it happened, not normal ware and tear....Once he left, I called 2-10 warranty, and was told the claim was denied because the contractor had stated customer said he put bones in the disposal....Wow, I never said this.  Called Budget Plumbing and Drain Cleaning and have been waiting for over a week for Supervisor Steve or Kathy to call me back....Very disappointed.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!
I filed a claim with my Home Warranty Company due to a leaky toilet.  Took a whole week to get an appointment with this company.  The plumber came out took my deductible and looked at the water draining down into the basement when the toilet was flushed. The plumber then said he had to call the Home Warranty Company because they were only allowing him 100.00 to fix the problem and it was going to cost more.  I never heard back from the Plumber, instead, I received an email from my Home Warranty stating my Claim was denied. I call my Home Warranty and asked why was my claim denied. Warranty Company stated because Budget Plumbing stated that the toilet was installed wrong and the floor needed to be replaced.  I tried calling Budget Plumbing to speak with someone other than the person that answers the phone and never got a callback.  I called several times a day for several days.  No answer and no callback.  My claim was denied because of this scamming company.  I had to pay out of pocket for another Plumber to come out and diagnose the real issues before my Warranty Company would pay for my toilet to be fixed.

This is the company that the Home Warranty company had my mom call for an issue she was having at a rental home in Hampton.  The issue was that the kitchen faucet was not working, yet all of the other faucets were working properly.  These plumbers showed up at the rental property (almost two weeks after they were called), the tech walked straight to the bathroom turned on the faucet and said this one works and the kitchen doesn't so the  faucet is bad and needs to be replaced and they could take care of it for $350.
His method of diagnosis is very surprising to me as a plumbing / mechanical estimator for a large commercial / industrial contractor in Anchorage, AK.  By turning on a faucet in another part of the house and diagnosing the faucet in the kitchen.  The two are not related.  The plumbing in the house was entirely replaced just two years ago and it has supply manifolds with dedicated lines running to the various rooms as necessary.
All that aside, his diagnosis was entirely wrong.  My mom ended up calling the plumber who installed the plumbing in the house.  He went over that night, found the problem to be a clogged backflow preventer, fixed it in just a few minutes.
For these plumbers to diagnose the problem as the faucet because another faucet works is illogical.  To diagnose a bad faucet they should have at least removed the supply flexes and made sure water was being supplied to the faucet.  But by not doing that it shows me that this place is nothing but a scam with no intention of honestly helping people or taking care of any plumbing issues.
Do yourself a favor call a real plumbing service company and save yourself the time, money, and frustrations of dealing with these idiots.  Yelp should let you rate companies like this partial stars.

Worst Service I have ever had. Very Unprofessional and sketchy, and honestly I felt like the technician was trying to scam me. He Ended up not fixing the problem because he wouldn't let me call their Home Office to pay (instead he wanted me to give him my credit card information)...and still have to pay my deductible for nothing!! BEWARE.

If I could give zero stars I would.  I don't review often, but I review when it is warranted and this company is a complete rip off!!  My home buyers insurance sent them to snake my line, but they did absolutely nothing except collect the service fee and say they were going to have to refer someone else.  How the hell are you a drain cleaning and plumbing company but can't do the job??  And you deserve a fee for this?   I hope this company goes out of business soon before they scam too many other people.  Hopefully the insurance company wises up after I let them know and they are stuck paying for someone else to come out.  Based on what the insurance folks said, it seems this is a common issue the company.

Was sent out through my home warranty. Not here 10 mins.... we need a new hot water heater. Took money, told my husband it would take 24-48 hours to get approval. Called home warranty company.... surprise they told them them they don't have the equipment to pull an 80 gallon hot water heater and replace it. Now we have to wait for new company to come out.....
How are you a plumbing company and you can't change out a water heater?

Had my home warranty company call in an emergency today because my hot water heater gave out this morning (I am 18 weeks pregnant and my family and I cannot go without hot water in our home). This company sent out a service rep who looked at the closet that my hot water heater is in, called his Supervisor and then told my husband that they do not have the man power to do the job. This is no special case, the hot water heater is located in a closet, recessed about 2 feet and there is plenty of room to maneuver around it.  Other companies have come to look at it and service it in the past so I have no clue why this is such an extraordinary case, neither was a reason given other than they do not have the man power. Budget plumbing obviously does not need business and does not care about inconveniencing customers. Thanks to this, I will be another day longer without hot water while we wait to have another company come out.

My Home Warranty company assigned Budget Plumbing to my home in Va Beach last summer.  The issue was a constantly leaking pipe behind the  toilet and a shower head that was leaking hot water at a fast pace.  When I didn't hear back from anyone, I called them, and they said someone would come out next week to take care of it.  The tech finally came, looked at the problem, and said he had to order a part, and he would be back.  After a few days, and no word, I called the office, and they said he would come back next Monday. On Monday, the tech called and said he can't come because they were short staffed, and I would have to call the office to reschedule a time.He also said it would be necessary to cut into the wall behind the bathroom faucets in order to repair the pipe leaks issues.  In the meantime, everything  is leaking at a faster pace.  I tried to call the office that entire week, (757) 639-0607, Unbelievably, I got a message to the effect that, No one was in the office, so call back later, and don't leave a message because the lady in the office has trouble getting the voice messages off the phone! So I keep trying to call all week, a few times a day-- same result. No one answers, don't leave a message. I finally call the First American Home Warranty company to see if they can just send another plumber. I've had good luck with another plumber that FAHW  previously sent- Drainmasters- so I asked FAHW if could they just send Drainmasters.  The rep checked and said no, because Budget had already come out and ordered the part. I asked the rep to  call the Budget number and listen for himself, so he did and verified the voicemail issue, but said he couldn't authorize a transfer in service.  So I gave up on Budget, and I called Drainmasters myself, and they came out the next day, ordered a part, then returned the next day and fixed it. Wonderful technician, just like before-- and he fixed it WITHOUT having to cut a hole in the wall behind the bathroom faucets!  The whole thing cost me about $150 with Drainmasters, out of pocket,  instead of the $75 service fee I usually have to pay the Home Warranty Company. But it was $150 well spent, since the job got done quickly and properly.  I asked the Home Warranty Company to reimburse me for the Out of Pocket expenses, but that has not been resolved yet. Anyway, my experience with Budget was just awful.

I've never felt the need to leave a bad review with anyone thus far, but this company is so terrible, I wouldn't want anybody else to waste their time like I have.
I had a faulty water heater that needed diagnosis. These people have been to my house 3 times over two weeks. Every time they just take a picture of my unit, give me some BS about needing approval and leave. Mind you, this is during the coldest part of the year. And I've got a 3 year old living here, and freezing cold water might be a little uncomfortable for her. I've had to drive to a relative's house 12 miles away just to give her a comfortable shower everyday. The techs just seem unprofessional at best. Wreaking of smoke, lying con artists. Wouldn't want to let your eyes of them, they might steal something valuable you have lying around. I just do not trust them, and am finished dealing with them. If you want to get the job done either right, or fast, definitely DO NOT choose this company. Couldn't recommend them less. TERRIBLE.

They sent a plumber to fix a leaking pipe in a wall.  WE had to provide access, he came out, looked at the pipe for a minute, saw what he needed (2 feet of 1 1/2 inch pvc pipe and 2 rubber couplings), went and got them from the local hardware store.  He was gone about 20 minutes.  He came back, cut out the copper pipe, installed the PVC, snaked the existing pipe (creating a much bigger problem in the process), and left.  All total, he was here about 1 hour.  Yet he claimed 3.5 hours of labor on the receipt and $200 for materials!!!  Once I got them back here to snake the drain PROPERLY...their master plumber treated and talked to me like a 6 y/o, didn't listen when I told him what I KNEW about the plumbing in the house, then told me, and I quote You're paying me for my knowledge!  Their so called master plumber was nothing more than a prima donna, over paid, arrogant IDIOT!!!  I wouldn't hire this rip-off company to pull a single piece of toilet paper from my commode!!!

I called my home warranty company to request my drain in my master shower to be snaked. My husband was able to get some stuff out himself but we needed a heavy duty snake. We have drain flies coming out of that drain. Soooo Budget plumbing shows up and says it doesn't need to be snaked and I need a copper pipe repositioned/slanted properly under my crawl space that will cost $325 to complete. They then leave (after fixing my toilet flapper and fill valve). I knew the drains needed to be snaked and so I called my home warranty company back. The home company warranty informed me they approved the snaking and authorized $250 to budget plumbing for both lateral drains to be snaked and for the toilet repair. FRAUD... Plain and simple. Shady shady business. They collected the $75.00 immediately before even diagnosing anything. Sat in their van for 45 minutes before coming in to let us know the snaking wasn't covered in our warranty. Lies. Why didn't you just snake the drain? Essentially they were trying to get paid $325 for replacing my toilet flapper and fill valve on my toilet and then tried scamming me for more $$$.

This is the worst plumbing company my home warranty has sent to us. Same issue as alot of complaints. Our hot water heater went out 3 days ago and we haven't been contacted at all by the plumbing company since their initial visit. We just cancelled the plumbing company and our home warranty company! Star rating is a -10

Should have posted a long time ago.  Sent by the home warranty company.  They knew it was a gas hot water heater.  when they show up they take 2 min to say they can't work on a gas hot water heater by law and left with $100.  easy money for them.  This seems to be a common occurrence based on other reviews.  Spoke with 3 other plumbers and told them that they said they can't replace a gas hot water heater because they weren't allowed by law.  All 3 said that was BS.  They should have denied the work when they knew it was gas.  Wasted time off work and an extra couple of days lining up another contractor.

Terrible company. The homeowners insurance called them. They told me it would cost $3000-$5000 to fix my downstairs toilet since a pipe had to be dug up and replaced, this was all due to a broken flange.
I called another plumber for a second opinion and he told me they were trying to rip me off. The plumber told me over the phone how to fix it.
Well $17 later and a little elbow grease the toilet is fixed!

Stay away from this company!

If I could rate this company less I would. Not only did they insult me as a woman multiple times, calling women drama queens, saying that men play the guitar (I play and have them in my home) , but also let my dog (who was secured) out to run around in my neighborhood. Instead of correcting the issue (by helping me look for my dog who was running around the neighborhood) they continued to tear apart the foyer without a drop cloth in sight. This company is budget for a reason!! Beware!!!

BEWARE - WORST PLUMBING CO. EVER!  If I could take stars away, I would.  Like other reviews here, the home warranty company dispatched Budget.  We also learned they had been dispatched by the same Warranty company under the prior homeowners Warranty (to address issues our inspection had identified).  Needless to say, the issues were not addressed the first or second time.  When I called them about the unresolved issues, the lady I spoke with was very gruff, rude and insisted on arguing with me.  Terrible customer service.  When they came out a second time on my warranty, they wouldn't even touch the plumbing when they arrived claiming they weren't familiar with the brand (despite having been out previously for the same issue which the woman argued with me about).  Having reportedly worked on it previously for the prior owner they were most certainly aware of the brand. Nonetheless, they collected a second $100 and did nothing.  Very shady business practice at the least.  NOT RECOMMENDED!

BUDGET PLUMBING IS A SCAM.  They were sent to my house by the home warranty company due to a non-functioning garbage disposal and a clogged kitchen sink.  They replaced the garbage disposal but did not address the sink.  Steve fraudulently reported to the home warranty company that the clog happened because the pipes were not configured correctly and he said he could not snake the drain.  This the is first clog in the kitchen sink since purchasing the home 8 years ago.  The house passed inspection (meaning the pipes were installed correctly).  Upon posting a negative review on their FB page, they posted my home address, phone number and said I was a liar.  They have a 1.5 star rating with the BBB-Norfolk.
THIS COMPANY AND ITS OWNER STEVE IS A CANCER TO THE COMMUNITY!!!

This Virginia Beach company is contracted through American Home Shield Warranty company and they came here and told me that I needed my hot water heater replaced (no surprise).  They ended up giving me an estimate and it was $1000.00 out of pocket.  I called a local company for a 2nd estimate and went over the Budget estimate with them and $620.00 of items listed were not needed. So homeowners beware and double check their estimates.  I have officially file a complaint against them as well with the BBB and anyone else who will listen.

They were sent to my house to unclog my main line. The plumber that actually showed up was at my house for a total of 6 mins, he didn't touch ANYTHING, he didn't flush the toilet, he didn't investigate the problem, he walked in my front yard to look for the clean out then said we don't have one so there's nothing he could do to unclog the drains then proceeded to write me a quote for $2000 to install a clean out. I've worked in property management for 13 years and know a lot more then he thought I did about plumbing & I know when someone is trying to get over on me or the system. My home warranty covers MULTIPLE ways to clear a drain, but they require actual hard work which he clearly didn't want to do. I reported them to my home warranty company and will be reporting to BBB as well. I would never recommend them to anyone for anything. I wouldn't trust them to even flush a toilet!

Had my home warranty contract this company to come replace my water heater. They showed up and looked at where it was located which is in the converted den that was once a garage and is sitting in a closet two feet lower than the den floor. They then went outside to go order a new water heater and told me they would be able to install in the next day. Ten minutes later they returned to tell me they couldn't do the job because they didn't have enough man power. Mind you these two guys that showed up where fairly big guys and I don't think they would have had a problem getting it out. If you want a company that 'might' fix your problem if they feel like it, then this is the company for you.

Do I really have to leave a star?
These people were prompt in calling us after a work order was submitted by our home warranty company. HOWEVER, when we tried to contact them to get an estimate on the repair, that was not covered they've vanished.
We still needed the problem resolved, and have reached out 2 times for an estimate, radio silence.
No doubt, they are doing nothing more than making money off of HW deductibles, and dont know jack crap about real plumbing.

The appt was set up by my home warranty. I received a call right away to set up day and time which was the next day and a time window. Got a call as promised with ETA. Plumber arrived and reviewed with me in depth my options. He took his time explaining everything. Decided to consulting with hvac folks before proceeding any further.

My heating went out on a Saturday night. I filled out a service request online, and received a phone call about 10 minutes later. I was impressed! I scheduled a visit from 1000-1400 the next day, Sunday. The first technician that came out, Greg, was absolutely awesome. He saw that he couldn't fix the problem, since I have a system that is specialized, and he called another technician to come out from 1200-1600.
The next technician came out, and priced the part that was damaged, and said that I should have it fixed by Monday, and if the weather was too much, then on Tuesday. He also said that he would call me. This is when things started to go wrong. I received no phone call, on either day. I called him twice, and was unable to leave a voicemail, because his mailbox was full.
I called the office Wednesday morning, at 1015. I was told that someone from the parts warehouse would give me a call back to schedule the install service. No one called. I called the office back at 1730, and of course the warehouse closed at 1700. I was told by the agent that I should call back at 0700, even though he was going to put an emergency call marker on my file.
I called this morning at 0703, to insure that someone was going to be in, and finally was able to schedule an install from 1000-1400. The person I spoke with, didn't have any other information to tell me, other than the parts warehouse said they didn't have the part, but when someone actually went over to check, the part was there and waiting. The technician I had this morning, was awesome, and I have heat again, just in time for some more record cold temperatures.
I appreciate the personnel that were polite and helpful, but I will never use them for anything else, unless absolutely necessary.

Absolutely the WORST service ever! I say that only because they never got back to me or my Mother! Her water heater went out, she called her home warranty company and they referred us to Budget Plumbing. We called, only got a voicemail which states to text them and they would return our call immediately! Here it is the next evening, and STILL haven't heard from them! Had to call a friend that is a plumber and pay out of pocket! What's the point of referring people to them if they don't even do the service calls? After reading the reviews from others on this company, I am actually relieved that they didn't come out! ZERO STARS for BUDGET PLUMBING!

My warranty company sent Budget Plumbing to my home to service my water heater, which was broken. Mark and Ryan came to my home and did not even look at the water heater leak, but somehow were able to to write up an estimate of over $1000 dollars for unneeded home updates/repairs they claimed were necessary to install the new heater. Mark and Ryan were in my home for less than 5 minutes, spoke ridiculously fast, and made me feel like an idiot who didn't know anything. They steam rolled all my questions and concerns. It was an awful experience.

A different plumbing company came out today, at my request, and they had no such RIDICULOUS estimate. It's a simple replacement that my warranty covers and I will not be paying $1000 out of pocket for unnecessary expenses/repairs.

This company deserves 0 stars. They are a sham. So unethical. Their intention is to take advantage of the home warranty service calls and clients, doing nothing but blowing smoke and going home with the $100 deductible check.
