HISTORY
Established in 2010.
ALI-COR Plumbing was started in 2010 under the name A Blue Planet Plumbing. At the time I was a Sole Proprietor moonlighting after my day job with the local school system. In 2012 things started to pick up and I hired my first employees. We became ALI-COR Plumbing LLC in 2014 after a trademark dispute. Some people ask where the name comes from. The name ALI-COR is derived from the names of the two great women in my life; my wife and daughter. They are the reason that ALI-COR Plumbing will continue to strive to give the best service at the best prices!

Awesome plumber! I called to get a ball valve connection fixed on my rear hose connection (cracked during a freeze) - the leak was up against my foundation and I needed it fixed fast. I spoke with Jason Miller over the phone to schedule the appointment. Jason was polite, friendly, and worked around my schedule to come see what needed to be done. The plumber that came out was Charlie, another friendly guy that obviously knows his craft well (and mentioned he is a 3rd generation plumber). Although I have an unusual hose line setup, Charlie took the time to go to 4 different plumbing suppliers to find the right parts and avoid having to cut into my drywall from the inside. That saved me a lot of time and money. The work was done quickly and payment was super easy. I really like the fact that Ali-Cor uses an electronic system for everything: Appointment setup, appointment reminders, payment, and automatically emailing my receipt. Communication was thorough during the whole process and I am a very happy customer. Thanks for doing a great job!

Even though the previous reviews were all 5 star I was a little apprehensive contacting Ali-Cor. I called Jason on Tuesday morning at 8 AM. He wasn't a fast talker or anything like that. He was open and frank that he couldn't have someone until Wednesday morning at 8 AM at my home. Once my appointment was set I got a text message confirming the appointment. I was impressed with a small business leveraging technology in such a way. In my past experiences with tradesman often times they're late, don't show at all etc. Marcus was at the house at 7:58 AM. He initially diagnosed the problem, asked a couple of questions, told me the price for the service and went to work. When his first attempt to resolve our problem (backed up kitchen sink) were unsuccessful he went to the next option. Fearing an MAJOR price point change I held my breath. As he was finishing he told me that I quoted you a price and it won't change.. Low and behold it didn't. I had an email with an electronic receipt before Marcus left the house. I gladly paid for the services rendered and feel that it was worth the investment. I will have no hesitation using Ali-Cor Plumbing for any future pluming needs.
I called ALI-COR plumbing after being scammed by a different plumbing company that was sent to my house by my home warranty company.
I was very wary of the entire situation until Brandon showed up. After explaining to him what had happened, he was very reassuring that he would be able to fix my leaking shower pipes without a problem. Brandon took the time to thoroughly explain the cause of the leaking pipe to us and had no problem pausing his work to let us take pictures so that we could have all the info and proof we needed to file a second claim with our home warranty company. Besides being genuinely friendly and reassuring, Brandon did a great job fixing our shower and we are very satisfied with his work.
We would definitely recommend to a friend, and plan to use ALI-COR in the future for any other problems that arise.

Jeff Kidd (KHR) sent these gentlemen out to me because I needed a discharge pipe cap repair on very short notice during KHR's renovation of an in law suite. They ended up replacing three caps and were exceptionally skilled and polite. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.
Non urgent repair for something pest inspection found under house. On time, professional, very knowledgeable, will recommend to anyone. 5 stars all around, do not hesitate to call if you need a plumber in Chesapeake

Thank you to Brandon who was very quick to locate the problem and fix it he had all the materials necessary and was very effective in communicating back to us where the problem stemmed from. Will recommend to anyone. I called at 8am this morning Brandon was ON time at 1pm and was done and out in a little over an hour would've been faster if I wasn't bugging with a hundred questions. He was very understanding and patient.

I've had Mark from Ali-Cor Plumbing do several jobs at my house and have been completely satisfied with the quality of his work and the fairness of his prices every time. In addition, he arrived when he said he would, answered all my questions, and cleaned up when finished. Ali-Cor has come to my rescue twice, once with a clogged sewage drain system and then with a broken toilet. Ali-Cor was there fast and finished the repairs in a timely and efficient a manner with a reasonable price. I would recommend them to anybody.

I sent Ali-Cor an email about out plumbing issue and to see if they could send someone out to our house this past weekend. The response was very fast. Then Saturday morning the plumber Brandon called us before he came over. He was even a few minutes early, which was great for us.
Brandon did a wonderful job. He even went to Home Depot and picked up the sink faucet that we choose. He cleaned up after himself too. Very nice person.
We plan to call and ask for Brandon for another plumbing job in a few months.
I needed my kitchen faucet replaced due to a leak. They were quick to give an estimate and schedule me for the service. I picked out my own new faucet from Home Depot and had it installed the next day! The technicians removed their shoes at the door and cleaned up everything behind themselves. Everything went very smoothly! I highly recommend!
Everything from the initial phone call was nothing but stellar. Pleasant on the phone and very helpful. They were able to get me on their schedule right away and was at my home in a hour.
We are very disappointed with this company's work. My husband, who is not a plumber, knew more about plumbing than the people who were sent to our home to do the work. They crack a brand new commode upon installation. We are also still waiting for parts that did not pass our City's inspection to be replaced on the hot water tank that they installed! Find another company to do your plumbing!
Initial contact to finish was outstanding. Brandi answered the phone each time I called during business hours. My text were responded to in a timely manner. The new gas water heater was installed in less time than expected. Dillion and the gentleman with him cleaned up and hauled the old water heater away. All around professional, courteous and knowledgeable. No issues. Thank you!!
Called AliCore as we had a frozen pipe burst with the cold. On a Saturday Evening! When no one else we called would answer or come out before Monday. They got here at 7 pm and worked several hours fixing things even though it was very late. Mark was great and explained everything every step of the way. It was clear they did a top notch job and left us with much better plumbing than we had before this happened. They were personable, polite and very knowledgable. Took care to do things right - even running out to Lowe's to get a part when the unique situation required something they didn't carry standard instead of trying to make something less optimal do. Cleaned up before they left, too. Cost came in at the lower end of their estimate and was reasonable for the time they spent, especially for a weekend evening. Will definitely be using them again.

I needed help troubleshooting two waterless tank heaters. I previously had two other technicians from other companies come out and they could not figure out the problem. I thought I would give it one more try before just replacing both units. Jason was methodical in his troubleshooting, talking to the manufacturing customer service to poke in areas where the other two gentleman had not. He figured out the issues for both heaters and saved me $$ and inconvenience from having to replace them. I'm deeply appreciative and thankful to now have consistent hot water. I found Ali-Cor Plumbing through Yelp reviews, so thought I better add here to confirm that the service is top notch. Polite, on time, communicative, knowledgeable: all the right signs for a successful business.
This is the first time I looked for help through Yelp and I wasn't disappointed. As you can see from my profile I only come to Yelp to review the terrible experiences ( LOL) but this one was actually a great one. I was looking for an affordable small business plumber and I found a great one through Ali-Cor. I now know who to call when I ever have issues again. A++++

I highly recommend this company for all your plumbing needs. They are simply awesome. They promptly got back with me to schedule an appointment and coming out to my house to repair my laundry drain. Responded quickly, Jason was very friendly and professional and took the time to repair my burst water heater, even calling manufacturer to explore all my options and repair/replacement costs
He even put booties on his shoes prior to entering my home, which I found very respectful
Wasn't told there was a service fee prior to him coming out was my only issue, but most places do charge one.
Brandon came out yesterday to help us fix an issue with low pressure in our kitchen sink. He quickly diagnosed the issue, made quick work of the job, made some kind comments about our baby being cute and called it a day. The fee was $125 which I thought was fair and reasonable. Thank you!
Top notch service. I called at 9:30PM expecting to get a voicemail. I got a person - and set up an appointment for the next morning. Immediately after hanging up I got a text message confirming the appointment. The guys called the next morning when they were running early and came almost an hour before the original appointment - which they had told me the night before was a possibility so it was good news! They came in, identified the problem after a period of forensics and didn't make anything up that was plumbing related. Turns out I have a leak in my roof that's coming all the way down into my first floor and the slab. They charged a very reasonable rate for the service call and sent me an electronic receipt within seconds. Awesome work and super helpful. Thanks so much!!

I've used Ali-cor a couple of times. They have been fast, courteous, professional, with reasonable rates. I will definitely call them in the future when I need a plumber again.
Called and made an appointment to have a leak repaired. Day prior they called me and told me that they would not be able to do the job. Told me the leak repair would be over $400. Just had the leak repaired for $156. One star for calling me and letting me know they will not be able to do the job under $400, being courteous on the phone and not wasting my time the day of. Fraud alert!! Dont recommend this company. Over priced. The owner tried to tell me what I was quoted from another company. Did not know plumbers were mind readers.

I have hired Ali-Cor Plumbing a few times now. Jason Miller and his techs have done excellent, timely work for an agreeable price. They found and corrected our water leaks and replaced plumbing done by a previous remodeling company to get the job done right. I am grateful to have found a small company that does a great job the first time out.

Nobody is ever excited to deal with a plumbing issue but Ali-Cor definitely made the situation less stressful. I decided I wanted to upgrade my sink & faucet in our house from the old double basin sink. When we started the project, we barely got started when we realized our sink pipes were leaking. We shut them all the way off and they still leaked. To say I was stressed out would be putting it lightly. Then once we kind of fixed the leak, and turned the water back on ALL pressure was gone. I messaged Ali-Cor last night and they responded almost immediately, able to come today! Brandon was our tech and was scheduled to be here 1-3ish. He called early to let me know his first job was more complex than they expected, but he still showed up right on time! He helped change out our old (clearly wrecked) pipes, and removed the old sink and installed our new one for me! He was friendly, efficient, and very tidy. Very kind and put up with my chatty-ness too for the few hours he was here the quote was less than expected and more than reasonable in my opinion. We definitely found our go-to plumbing company and will be recommending to anyone who needs work done in the future !
Jason was very helpful and always returned my call, he allows you to send pictures to avoid wasting time! They came out the next day to replace a leaking hot water heater, which required removing the dryer to get the old equipment out and install the new, then hauled away the broken heater. They did a great job and provided pictures since we have a tenent in the home. The invoice was received via e-mail, allowing payment with a simple click. How efficient - especially for an out of town landlord! We are very pleased and will use them for all of our plumbing needs in the future.
