Top to bottom and side to side, they've provided incredible service in addition to doing the work with attention to detail and successfully repairing our challenging situations. Ceiling fan installation? Check! Had to do some custom work to provide a safe and secure mounting of the fan--they're like artists with a technical side. Weird short thing that happened in the kitchen's island--Check! Re-wired the outlets and we haven't had a problem since.
It's weird, they say they're going to do something, and they do it!
They say they'll call and follow up to reschedule an appointment, and they do it!
They say they're going to arrive at a certain time, and they text and call to notify they'll be earlier if that's OK. OK, that'll be fantastic! And they arrive in full Covid-safety mode and they do the work!
And they're affordable. Parts, labor, all reasonable.

They are honest and do a great job. I had 4 lighting fixtures installed. Two were fancy chandeliers. Ian and Trevor did a great job. I call them the A'team.

The breaker switch for our pool equipment kept tripping, and the last time I reset it I saw a flash inside the panel. I called Startech around 10 and they said they could squeeze us in, probably toward end of day. Doug called about noon and said they were ahead of schedule and said he could be there in 20 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a loose wire and fixed it, he also answered all my questions and gave some suggestions about additional steps I could take. What great, friendly and prompt service. Doug and Startech get my recommendation!

I was in the right turn lane to get on Mopac and one of their drivers decided last minute to stop in the lane to my left and when I started moving forward he began to cut into the lane and I had my horn blowing yet he kept pushing me over onto the shoulder. Rude driver. I would never use any of their services when they hire people of this caliber. He didn't want to do the right thing and get in the turn lane and chose to run up front to jump in front of other cars lined up to turn. If I had not backed off he made it clear he was going to push me out of the way. I did get his actions on video if the company would like to see how rude their drivers are.

Fast and friendly service , was able to get a severed wire issue resolved within 24hrs. Professional and very helpful answered all questions and concerns and gave excellent rate on repair under 2hrs in and out!

Startech did an amazing job not once, not twice but all six times I've had them come out to our house to update lighting or to add on to our ongoing projects. They are professional, kind, fast, honest, problem solving and very easy to work with. You can't go wrong giving them a call and putting them to work. They put up 7 fans, 8 lights, added exterior outlets, added interior switches and outlets and everything they've touched has been done perfectly. Very grateful to have them for this work and my future projects.

Ian and Trevor were nice, efficient and professional. They put our ceiling fan up in no time and even impressed my hard to please hubby. I would definitely use them and Startech Electric again.

Had these guys out to install 2 220 outlets for a new machine I purchased. Didn't quote me but, I asked one of the guys less than 30 mins of completion and he said around $350 and I told him that someone else was legit for it, when it was time to pay, the cost jumped to $520.

Be warned, get a true hard quote from these guys, and also make sure you have a trash can or they'll just throw their trash on the floor or in any container that resembles a trash can.

WILL NEVER USE AGAIN.....

He may not be a human calculator, but I work hard for what I have and this company took me for a fool and charged me $170 more than what they should've!

StarTech fixed multiple electric issues and installed a whole house surge protector today. They were awesome. The team was super professional and really efficient with the multiple issues we had. We highly recommend them for any electric needs !! Kudos to StarTech Electric!

I wanted to give a shout-out to StarTech Electric. A few days ago I used Startech to add a 60amp breaker box in preparation for some new pool equipment. They had previously given me an estimate for the work (no charge for the estimate). It was a pricey job as expected, but when they actually got into the garage attic to begin the work, they discovered untapped electrical resources. Bottom line, they did a great job (thanks Ian and Trevor) and charged me considerably less than I was originally quoted due to decreased labor and materials. That is honesty!

Worked with this company for several months during the summer and they could never fix the problem. Travis was the one that seemed to know the issue but he would send someone else out that was not familiar with it or did not have the experience in dealing with it. A different breaker was supposed to be put in to be able to handle what we had. A new one was put in but the same kind of breaker, I found that out a couple weeks ago when I had someone look at it and that was months later. Travis always said he would be out in the next few days, took him usually a week or more, wouldn't return calls or texts. Didn't see him again. The final time dealing with this company Travis sent another crew out. They said they took care of it and the issue was fixed. I paid them (a lot) and the issue happened again.

Michael & Charlie at StarTech Electric are simply outstanding. Reliable, reasonable & experienced. They have hung ceiling fans & light fixtures in our home...some of which have been challenging. They are our 'go to' electricians. I recommend them without hesitation.

I had an outdoor lighting issue...basically they quit working. I googled electricians and found Startech Electric. They came out the next day and let me know it was a minor issue. They fixed it for a very reasonable fee. I would highly recommend them.

Can't really speak for their actual service, but my attempts to get these folks to come out to my house for some actual electric work was sorely lacking. I took the time over the weekend to complete their rather extensive form on their website requesting service. After completing it, I received an email saying someone would call me. By Tuesday I hadn't heard anything so I called their number. The man who answered proceeded to lecture me about how nobody really uses their Internet form (about 1 in 550!) and he really doesn't pay attention to that stuff and I should use the telephone. When I pointed out that I used the form because it was late at night, again, he said I should have called and left a message. WELL, EXCUSE ME!

This company sent two young men over yesterday to fix our hot water heater. It took them all of 5 minutes to diagnose the problem-two loose wires that needed to be connected. When I ask them if they were sure that was the problem, they assured me it was. Guess what? We have no hot water and they will not answer their phone/emails to address their incompetence.

We have used Startech about three times, the last one being over a year ago,
but apparently they no longer respond when a customer has a need. Perhaps
they are too big for their britches now, but we called them and left a request
to call us for four straight days. NEVER a response. They have a message on
their phone that tells us how popular they are. Great, except that they are
so popular that they ignore people. I do not recommend wasting time on
this bunch. We found someone (Malco) that responded immediately.

These guys were AWESOME! Fast, efficient, and fairly priced. My husband is a Project Manager for a General Contractor, so when it comes to companies like this he is insanely picky. Today, I had StarTech Electric do some electrical work, including running new lines for new appliances, relocating an ethernet cable and outlets, and fixing a broken ballast. They were prompt, efficient and very nice. Before they started, they gave me another option that saved me an extensive amount of money from the original quote. I highly recommend them.

These guys are like finding a great friend. They are courteous, responsive and devoted to doing the job right. My wife and I had the guys come over when we bought our foreclosure deal and needed some projects done immediately. They were affordable, polite and just all around nice and friendly. I highly recommend them and wish more folks would review them and post here because they deserve 5 stars all the time.

Startech came to our office and replaced some pendant lights that had been giving us a ton of problems. They showed up promptly and gave us a couple of lighting options that would solve the problem. I was impressed with how they were able to think outside of the box and give us a creative solution that was much more cost effective than replacing everything, like other companies had suggested. They started the work on the spot and finished before I knew it. I highly recommend these guys and plan on using them for all of my electrical needs!

I have used StarTech twice for a variety of electrical needs and could not be more pleased. Shane is extremely professional, knowledgable and friendly. On a couple of projects, he talked me through the pros and cons of various options and helped me get to a better solution than what I originally thought I needed - saved me money in doing so. I've never recommended anyone on yelp before but Shane and StarTech are so great, I felt compelled to give them a big thumbs up.
