Thank you to Eli, Star, and the dig crew for doing great work replacing the line from our house to the street. Big job (at least for us) well done. Eli was a pleasure to deal with - knowledgeable and conscientious in every regard. And Star in the office, courteous and ever-efficient scheduling and organizing the bunch of moving parts involved in a job like this.

And the dig grew dug (and filled) like hella!

I'll start by saying, Eli, the young man the company sent out to evaluate our issue (bubbling toilets, clogged main line) was incredibly kind and professional.

He was also, unfortunately, wrong.

IDK if the auger he brought with him wasn't enough to clear the blockage, or he just didn't know what he was seeing with his camera, but he told us we needed our entire main line replaced, to the tune of about $6000!!!

(I will say in his defense that we don't have a clean out in our front yard, so he had to go through the vents on the roof. We'll handle that issue soon enough.)

Called another company to get a second opinion the next day. Turns out it was roots in the pipe. A blockage that they cleared in less than an hour, for WAY LESS than six grand.

Take this review with a grain of salt, but do yourself a favor, and ALWAYS get a second opinion on stuff like this.

The second company that came out just saved me over 5k. Just saying.

Had an issue with my toilet where it would sometimes flush properly and other the tank would not fill properly. And once in a while the tank would not stop filling and begin to overfill. I had the flapper replaced a few years ago by a plumber assigned from our home warranty company that I really didn't trust. It's not really worked right since and so I requested to just have most of whatever is in the tank replaced. The Schrader Plumbing plumber came out and provided an estimate. It seemed a little high, but I'm not sure as I didn't do any real cost comparisons, which is on me. The plumber seemed to know what he was talking about so I went ahead and authorized the repair. They performed the work quite quickly, and it looked good to me. The next morning I noticed a small amount of water around the base of the toilet so I called back and they sent the same plumber back out fairly quickly, within a few hours, it was a pretty slow leak so I just put some towels around it and wasn't a huge issue. They fixed the leak pretty quickly, it appears one of the bolts needed to be a little tighter. The leak has not reoccurred. I also had them fix a small shower leak I have been having. The company is very professional to work with, their communication system is outstanding, and they showed up at the promised times. They were able to come out the next day after the initial request for quote, and performed repair the same visit. I'm not dinging them on the price because I didn't do due diligence, but I will provide the work description and what I payed so you can make your own determination on cost competitiveness.

The description of the work as provided in their receipt:

Plumber will replace fill valve, flush valve, flapper, and tank to bowl gasket by pulling tank, and replacing tank to bowl gasket, bolts, and washers, and resetting tank. Schrader Plumbing not responsible for sheetrock, paint, flooring, landscaping,
ect. Tech will remove, and replace additional angle stop added to already installed standard cost angle stop w/o supply line. Tech proposes to remove and replace plumber supplied tub:shower cartridge. Tech will test once completed to verify that there are no further leaks. Any unforseen issues will
be additional. Schrader Plumbing not responsible for sheetrock, paint, flooring, ect.

The cost for these line items was $1001.00.

Overall, I would say it was a very positive experience, however in the future I would probably investigate pricing a bit more rigorously.

The crew came to provide an estimate for a leak at the meter. They say right away that the line will have to be replaced if it's a certain material, only copper can be patched. Of course they go ahead and start digging to see the color of the pipe. Then announce a $3500 job estimate. And a $225 digging fee, for about 30 seconds of hand digging, has to be paid right away (against their advertised free estimate policy). Not even once was the water turned on to see the problem. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to pay for the estimate, until my husband came home and told me.
We had a different company come and turns out, the problem is in a connecting plastic piece and it cost $350 to fix it.
We called to complain about this, and the manager offered to refund half if we take down the bad review. Unbelievable! Stay away or they'll take advantage of you!

Purchased this house 15 years ago in Hurst, Texas and have had continual plumbing problems. Due to old cast iron pipes, roots and shifting clay veins in sandy soil I've spent a small fortune on rooter services, along with licensed plumbers. Everyone had a different opinion. With the latest blockage resulting in clean water flooding part of the house. Being sick and tired of mopping and restricting rules when and how to use water, I read the reviews from several sources and found Schrader Plumbing. They're great! On time, professional, courteous, organized, informative , understanding and able to resolve problems. They know what they're doing! They have a great team. Gustavo, lead licensed plumber and Tom, business manager were great to work with. New pipes to the street and under the house in three days from start to finish. ...Is a blessing. Its worth it.

Had a clogged toilet and shower in the master bath as well as a slow draining tub in the spare bathroom. I called Schrader and they had a technician at my home within 1 hour. (I called first thing when they opened)

The tech was friendly, helpful, tidy, and fixed everything in less than an hour. I was very happy with the service. Two thumbs up!

I called out Schrader to unclog a toilet, $20,000 later I get rude customer service when calling in to pay. We appreciated the first find for 4,000 which required replacing a sewer line interface. Then the second $4000 find to put in a clean out valve. Then after all that, they find rocks in my pipe and I have to replace the whole sewer line for $15,000. They could have run the camera the first day as requested, found the rocks, then replaced the sewer all together for half the price. Thats all fine, but the price for the sewer was nearly double other quotes we got calling around. We decided to be loyal, give them the business. However, they were late to work EVERY day. Sending us text messages every day saying they will be here between 8-9am, then showing up at 10 or 11, then take a 2-3 hour lunch break and leave at 3. So they wrapped up the work, it was really solid plumbing and hole digging...hence the two stars. What really pissed me off was the incessant calling between 8-5 when I have non-stop meetings. Work was done on Thursday and by Monday we are in collections. I called Monday morning to pay and suggested they should text us like they do for the late plumbers every morning to remind us to pay or provide an online payment system. The lady on the phone was SUPER rude and dismissive of the ask. Needless to say, stay away unless you like to pay extra for plumbing and deal with toxic customer service.

Worked with Andy on my water heater problem and I can't be happier with the service. Had some problems in the past with my waterheater but Andy and Tom the svc mgr were great. Tom is the reason I called Schrader and Andy is the one I'll request to come back every time.

Today I requested a quote for what I though might have been a leak under my foundation. They replied super fast and sent someone out within an hour, keep in mind it's a Saturday. They came out and took a look and checked my water meter and were able to confirm it was not a leak and nothing to worry about. They didn't charge me anything. I was super impressed by them all around. If I ever do have a real issue I will for sure be calling them. Everyone was great and pleasant to work with. Thank you guys!

All plumbing is pricey, but Schrader comes through - they are accountable, professional, on time, patient, quick appointments, and they explain what is needed and possible charges. Once finished, they explain and show what they did, discuss any issues, and stick with their original quote. I felt like I chose the correct plumbers. And they actually saved me a ton of money!!! I was worried I'd have to have drilling into my exterior wall. Awesome company!

Called shortly after 8AM this morning, which is a Monday. My issue was the Kitchen Sink Pipes connecting to the Drain were leaking directly under the sink. They made an appointment for this afternoon, I received a text confirmation of the appointment, they called and texted when they were on their way. They diagnosed and repaired the leak.

The plumbers, Chris and John did a great job. Very professional and polite.

I have used them three times. The first time their pricing was reasonable and I gave them the work. The second time was a water heater free quote. After talking with the tech on site he said that all that was wrong with it was a control valve. I elected to have the water heater replaced anyway since all the rest of the mechanical in the home was new.

The third time was a leak under the slab. They came out and busted up the concrete in the garage and tunneled to the leaking pipe. The sent pictures of the damaged pipe but not of the repaired pipe. That was a week ago. Since then, 4 different people from the company proceeded to call me daily demanding payment in full. Tom their business manager tried to scare me into payment by saying he would call the sheriff, file mechanics liens, have their lawyer sue me unless I paid them immediately. KEEP IN MIND THERE IS STILL A HOLE IN THE GARAGE FULL OF WATER AND PILES OF DIRT TO BE BACKFILLED YET! WHY HAVEN'T THEY PUMPED IT OUT SO THEY CAN FINISH THE JOB??

Not happy with the service. I, Steve V., had a kitchen/ laundry sewer drain clog, and called Schrader Plumbing to come out a fix it. The guys showed up and went to work and in about a half hour +/-, they stated they couldn't fix it because a previous repair was not done correctly. They took the payment and left. about 30-45 min. $300. (came down $100 since they couldn't repair the clog) Some months later I called another local plumbing company (N.H.P.) to review the issue with my drain. they were aggressive and comprehensive in their trouble shooting. And was able to get in, work and clean out the blockage. and they cost less ($250) than the Schrader team and done far more work.

Sent an email to Schrader Plumbing asking for a quote on two water heaters at my house that needed to be replaced since they were 20+ years old and one was beginning to seep water at the top of the tank. Their plumber Eli Davis visited on January 24th to inspect the water heater installations and provide a quote. I had measured both water heater external dimensions and provided that information when I first contacted Schrader. Also discussed these dimensions and the available space with the folding staircase to access one of the water heaters installed in the attic. Eli assured me that it wouldn't be an issue removing the old water heater or installing the new water heater in the attic. On January 26th at approximately 8:00 am I was contacted by Schrader that Eli was on his way to my home to replace both water heaters. About 1 hour later I was contacted that Eli had to stop at the plumbing supply distributor to get the water heaters and parts needed to perform the water heater replacements. At approximately 10:00 am Eli and his assistant arrived, provided an explanation of how they were going to replace the heaters and set to work. Why am I unhappy with the work performed:

1. I mentioned to Eli that the new water heater they had installed in the garage was not level, he assured me that after it was filled with water it would level. It didn't level and their solution was to install toilet shims to level the tank instead of investigating why the heater was not level. My thoughts - Eli had an answer for my question however after his answer wasn't correct he didn't investigate further.

2. Eli asked if I had a pipe strap of something similar to assist lifting the new water heater into the attic, I offered some rope that I had which he told me would work. After they got the water heater installed in the attic I inspected the installation and found they had bent the lower part of the outer wall of the water heater when pulling it up into the attic. Eli told me he contacted the boss at Schrader and his offer was either $100 credit or they would replace the water if I would pay for labor and modify the staircase opening to allow more room to move the water heater into the attic. My thoughts - Eli and I had discussed the dimensions and accessibility when he visited to provide the quote and he assured me it wouldn't be an issue. Eli didn't bring along the proper tools to complete the job without damaging the water heater.

My reason for using Schrader Plumbing for this job was my experience with them a few years ago when they provided excellent service. This service was less than excellent and I would caution anyone who is considering using their services that promises made may not be promises kept.

We had ordered a new washer and dryer which were delivered to our house and were supposed to be installed. But the installer took one look at our water hookup and walked off the job saying it was against his company policy for him to touch a faucet handle that wasn't the standard wheel style. He said he would return to do the install after we had the handles replaced. In a hurry, my wife called Shrader plumbing. The dispatcher sent Chris to our house in about 30 minutes, which was amazing. Chris was very professional and made no attempt to sell us on anything we didn't want or need. He simply gave us a quote for the job then proceeded to do the fix. Of course the appliance delivery company never returned and left us to set up ourselves but thankfully Shrader came through for us. I have used Schrader Plumbing twice with positive results both times. The most recent was 9/23/2021. Both of my outside faucets were leaking, one very significantly. Austin Potts responded on a timely basis. After inspecting the faucets he provided me with what I considered a reasonable amount. The task turned out to be more involved after Austin got started due to previous questionable installation methods. Austin replaced both faucets with high quality faucets. The process took much longer than Austin had projected, but I was billed based on Austin's initial quote because Schrader Plumbing charges based on the job, not the time taken. I definitely recommend Schrader for your plumbing needs. Austin Potts was very professional as well as being a very nice person. I will definitely use Schrader Plumbing in the future.

Best plumbing experience I've ever had.
Water heater was making unusual noises and it was getting worse so I figured I better take care of it and called Schrader Plumbing as I like to support local business.
They're less than 3 miles from me so I called and an outstanding plumber Austin came out on a Saturday no less and replaced my old one with a great suggestion for my other problem of long time to get hot water in the kitchen so he added a small pump and now it's perfect!
He explained everything about what he did and I really appreciate that.
I have some more projects coming up and I will specifically ask for Austin at Schrader Plumbing.

However, I do feel like I was nickel and dimed for the services I had completed. I spent $3000 for a job I had budgeted half that for, but needed the job done ASAP.. Looking over my invoice I am confused as to what remodel services means. He literally plumbed for a second sink and hooked up 2 faucets and changed out another faucet for downstairs. In the future I will shop around.

I can't say enough about how great Gustavo and Shawn, from Schrader Plumbing, were for my family over the Christmas holiday. When the heavy freeze hit on 12/22, the plumbing running into our tankless hot water heater froze. With 10 family members arriving that night to spend the Christmas weekend at our house, not having hot water would have been a disaster. Gustavo and Shawn came out the next day (12/23) to assess the situation and confirmed that not only was the piping frozen, but also discovered a deficiency in the previous installation (not performed by Schrader) that would result in this happening every time we experienced any more than a light freeze. With temperatures still well below freezing, Gustavo planned out a better installation, procured all of the supplies necessary to get it installed and stayed way past business hours on the night of 12/23 to make sure that we had hot water available for the Christmas weekend. If you need plumbing help, don't hesitate to call Schrader. They'll go the extra mile to get you taken care of.

Hot water heater started to leak out of the drain value. Called Schrader to get an estimate of fixing the drain value and look at possibly replacing the heater (11 yrs old at this point). Austin took the time to review the setup and gave me an accurate estimate for both the fix and replacement. Because the drain value was plastic he explained the risks involved with just replacing the value. Provided a quote for both fix and replace options. Did some comparison shopping and even with lower priced units from Big Brand stores the add on estimates far exceeded the price I was quoted with Schrader. As most homeowners do I have a list of vendors I trust and Schrader is now my go to plumber of choice. I would recommend them to anyone wanting an honest experience with some of the most knowledgeable people in the business.

They were easy to schedule, and gave me a heads up 20 minutes before arriving so I could meet them there. The lead plumber kept me advised what he was doing each step of the way, and gave me an upfront quote. The cause of the problem wasn't what I thought it was; it was a clog in the sewer lines underneath the house caused by a flushed wet wipe. Since I told him that this address had frequent plumbing issues believed to be caused by tree roots, he ran a sewer camera down my sewer lines through the front yard line as well to determine if that was an additional issue that I might want to purchase hydrojet drain cleaning service for, in order to prevent another problem in the near future. It was determined not to be a current issue, but he identified that the interior of my iron pipes were corroded, which is good to know. He didn't charge me for the sewer camera, and the price for clearing the clog was reasonable. They cleaned up after their work and left everything as they found it, minus the clog.

The only weird thing is that they emailed me an invoice, that had language at the bottom of it suggesting I had signed some agreement which I don't recall ever seeing. I never signed anything.

We just moved to Texas and have had the hardest time finding people we can trust to help us with our house. Sergey has been fantastic. They came out immediately. He has taken the time to listen and make sure all our gas lines are safe and working properly... and cleaned up several issues caused by other plumbers not fixing our lines properly. First Time Customer

We are managing an office property from out of state, I received a call from an office tenant that had a broken toilet. I was scurrying to find a reliable/affordable vendor that could attend to our tenant quickly, possibly same day.

I called Star to make the appointment, she handled the rest. Don, the plumber called me while at the job site and he walked me through the various options. I chose to replace the toilet and all of this was done on the same day that I called. I am so thankful and the tenant is happy they have an operating toilet!

Pros:
-They answered my call when I picked up the phone to call, unlike most or smaller plumbing businesses which go straight to voicemail.
-They contacted the tenant to find out more details since I wasn't on-site to help with specific questions.
-Don, the plumber, called me to walk through the details of the problem and how to solve the problem.
-Payment/Invoice over the phone and emailed a pdf invoice of the bill.
-Friendly and efficient.

Cons:
-NONE :)

I would be happy to call them our go to plumber for future office plumbing needs.

First time using and will use them again if the need arises. Water heater went out and I reached out via their site for a quote. They contacted me first thing in the morning and had a tech here about 30 mins later who was friendly and informative. A few hours later I had a new tank installed and working great. They handled the permit, scheduled the city inspection, left no mess all for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend them.

First called a different company that did not touch the water heater and told me it was broke, then said they do not deal with Rheem warrantee and it would be 3,000.00 for a new WH. Long story short I got rid of that company and called Schrader Plumbing. I explained what I was going through and they advised they deal with Rheem warrantees a lot. Tech's showed up same day, were very knowledgeable. Called Rheem got the part delivered we needed free of charge.

Most important thing I can think of in business, this company has... Client facing tech's that are honest and care. They took things apart and kept investigating, narrowing down the possible causes of why it was not working. They fixed the nearly new water heater and saved me 2,800.00 from the other shady company.

This is a company you can TRUST and if I ever have plumbing issues again... they are my first call! Thank you so much guys!

I have not received service from this establishment, but when I put in for a service quote, they responded within a few minutes!

Unfortunately, they do not service annual Backflow testing, but I can already tell that they do stay very attentive to the customer's needs and through Yelp quote request.

In this day and age, a prompt response is quite important and does set them apart from competitions.

Jeff came out during the winter storm to fix our shower which would not shut off. He arrived at our house in ~2 hours (despite the icy roads), and immediately knew what the issue was. Michael Bagley was our plumber through Schrader Plumbing. Calling in to the main office is a breeze. The people at the main line are very helpful and communicative. You'll get texts for appointment reminders, and when the plumber is on the way.
Michael did great work, he was reliable and straight forward. They came out to camera and repair a drainage line. We had some complications due to the foundation and layout of the existing plumbing. We were always aware of our options and they were fair with us on the pricing. It turned into a bigger project than expected but I'm glad we chose to work with Schrader Plumbing.

Matt Berry is our guy. He is skilled, professional and knows his stuff. He has dug under our foundation to replace a drain, installed 3 hot water heaters and fixed other plumbing issues. Bait and Switch? I feel ripped off.

I had one gentleman come over for an estimate, which I trusted and one of the reason why I picked this company to complete the work as he was providing me other ideas about solving my problems that were more cost effective.

One day prior to the install, I received word it was a different person doing the work, which I have never spoken to. When he arrived, he didn't know what the pricing was and indicated it was not the same. After a call to the office, he said they agreed to the pricing and started the install. The largest priced item came out to be 33% higher than the price I was quoted; 20% of that cost is due to their standard up-charge on material cost. I told him material was quoted at cost and I would even be shown the receipt, which he responded as it being not corporate policy.

Given the post-installation information, I would've (and will in the future) pick a different company.

Thank you for your quick response and I will call tomorrow during business hours. So we're on the same page for the call, below are the main talking points:

As I was told prior to starting the work, I will be notified prior to any deviation from the work and agree to the updated scope of work. There was an issue with the third commode as the flange was lower than the tile and required an extension, which I agreed to. There is no dispute on the commode SOW.

The additional work on the floodstop is news to me from your response. I was never told there was an issue and certainly not an updated price. After the commodes were complete, the plumber went to the store (for lack of a better term as I forget the exact verbiage he used) to grab the supplies for the floodstop. From there, he arrived and went straight to work and I did not hear from him until was 99% complete and asked for four AA batteries as the four AA batteries he got from the store were dead (not sure if I was charge for those).

When it came time to pay, I was shocked to see the final price, which was when it was revealed the pricing I was quoted was not going to be used, which led to my initial post.

Just to note, I think the most important aspect for me is finding my plumber that I can trust and rely on if I needed assistance and preventative maintenance. I had one in Keller and having just moved to Flower Mound, I thought the plumber who I first met was going to be that guy. I really liked him - he was friendly, understood what I was looking for, offered suggestions, etc. I was bummed when I heard one day prior (I scheduled it the install one week in advance) he wasn't going to be installing my stuff and I did briefly think about cancelling the work and going with another company but gave it a shot.

Ok - these guys go way, way beyond the extra mile. I had Jeff and Trevor come over and they not only a) arrived on time, b) fixed what we contracted for before the time way up, but c) did three extra jobs that saved me a lot of money and a lot of hassle.

I called yesterday to schedule an appt. due to a leaking air gap from our dishwasher. It was scheduled for Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. They called me back about an hour later saying they had a cancellation and a technician was in our area could they come by. Within about 10 minutes Sergey was there. He told my husband it was an easy fix and showed him how to fix the issue and didn't charge us a cent! He was thorough, kind, courteous, and just an honest, good guy. We will definitely be using Schrader Plumbing for any and all of our plumbing needs in the future.

Had a very simple job: replace a 1 foot section of pipe. Asked for a quote and sent a picture (the pipe was easy to get to) they said they would have to send someone out to quote.... Um, ok... red flag. Usually when companies do that it's not going to be a good price because they show up and then charge you whatever, and you don't want to wait for another plumber so you pay. Well, I had gotten 2 other quotes from companies here on yelp and they quoted $150-$200. Well, I decided to have these guys come out since they had high reviews and after looking at the pipe and messing on his tablet for a while he quoted me $350. I asked why so much? Instead of giving me a breakdown of costs, he got all upset and said because that's the price! I said no, I already have quotes for half that price, if you want to do it for $200 then I will hire you. Again, he had a bad attitude in his response and so I said: see ya later! I called up one of the other plumbers and paid $150. Took that plumber 15 minutes to do the job. Since when is paying $350 for a plumber for 15 minutes of work ok?!? My lawyer at my job charges that same amount per hour and he's got much higher education and experience. Doesn't make sense to me that trade services are charging this much now... but they do it because people in this area pay without thinking. So... if you want to overpay then this is the company for you! If not, spend 5 minutes asking other companies for quotes and find one that won't rip you off.

Michael was very friendly, and seemed to be knowledgeable. I had them come out because one of my showers would not get hot. Turned out to be a diverter valve, which Michael said he could rebuild and cost would be just under $400. I had him proceed with the repair, he said he had the parts on his truck, but turned out he didn't, so he had to go get them. Once he returned, he got to work. About 15 mins later he came out and said that one of the screws in the valve broke while trying to remove it, so he was unable to access the part he needed to get to. It was an old shower valve so I went along with it. The only option now was to replace the entire valve assembly and he would have to go into the wall to complete (all drywall, no tile as he could access from behind). New quote was now nearly $1100. At this point I'm stuck because I need a working shower. Michael goes to the store again to get the new shower faucet/valve, which I checked and is a $59 piece (Home Depot, same part). He was here actually working for about 2 hours and parts were, let's just say $100, so I was apparently charged about $500 per hour in labor. I am not actually sure though, because I can't seem to get an itemized invoice. Just one that says replace shower valve and the cost. Not to mention, I decided to continue to use my existing shower head, and was not left the new one that I paid for. I called the office and spoke to the lady that answers the phone and was told she'll see if she can get Michael to provide the requested items. No response since. He also did zero clean up, there was drywall all over my bathroom and bedroom, and a complete mess left in the bathtub. I have used this company before and was happy with the service, but never again. The only companies that don't give an itemized invoice are ones ripping you off. Very disappointed!! Buyer beware!!!

I've been using Schrader for several years now (I just realized I never wrote them a review)--and the reason I've been using them for several years is because I have never dealt with a plumber/plumbing company whose excellence and service are so consistent.

I first got in touch with them several years ago, to get a quote for an addition we wanted to build for my retired dad. John was so knowledgable and friendly; I just felt comfortable with him right away, and had a good feeling about him/his company. My good feeling was justified when, a few days later, I had an issue with another plumber I'd called for a quote going back on what he'd told me, and getting nasty with me when I questioned him. I was upset. I texted John to ask which info was correct.

Not only did John text me immediately, John actually took a break a few minutes later, in the middle of a tankless water heater class, to call me, reassure me, and confirm for me that I was correct. I couldn't believe he actually did that, for someone who was at that point not even his customer. But that is the level of service Schrader always provides. They genuinely care about their customers, and the work they do.

Of course I hired them for the job, which included renovations in my kitchen and guest bath as well as the addition. (Lest you think John was so helpful and caring to me because it was a big expensive job, it wasn't; the initial quote was just for the addition, and was under $5k; we added the rest of the work later/as we went along. $5k is a lot, yes, but as far as plumbing jobs go it's pretty small potatoes, especially for a company like Schrader, who do big commercial jobs and such.) John was always reachable--but I didn't really need to reach him, because Damien came out to do the work, and Damien is probably the best plumber in the DFW area (in addition to being just a great guy and fun to work with). The work he did on my dad's room and our home was and is excellent.

In fact, *all* of the Schrader plumbers I have dealt with have been great guys. This is an older home, and the plumbing basically hasn't been touched since it was built, so--lucky us--things started going wrong after we'd been here about a year (nothing that Schrader did for us failed, this is other stuff, like roots clogging the sewer pipe under the street--we had to get that replaced a few months ago). Every time we had an issue we called Schrader, and every time we had an excellent plumber arrive promptly to do great work and be a pleasure to deal with.

I'm hoping/planning to build an additional bathroom, re-do our master shower, and build an accessory building/guest cottage in our backyard in the next year or so (all mostly DIY), and I will definitely be calling Schrader and no one else. They may not be the cheapest plumbers out there, but this is definitely a case where you get what you pay for. If you're tired of dealing with plumbers who think good enough is good enough, who are rude, who are dismissive of your concerns, who don't care about you or your home, or who make you feel small or stupid, and you want to be sure that the job is done right the first time by good people who care, call Schrader. You will not regret it.

I contacted Schrader Plumbing to install a new water heater and fix a leak. After a bumpy start, my initial message went to their spam folder so I didn't get a response, I called them and they set an appointment for the next day. The plumber came out and gave me the no nonsense explanation. I was wanting to go to a tankless system but he showed me how expensive it was and after doing the math I opted to just go with a replacement tank. On the day of installation they were promptly on time and in no time at all I had a fixed leak and a new water heater.

Called Schrader Plumbing and told them we had gas leak, they sent someone out next day so not emergency call, gas was turned off by Atmos. They send one man out and he said he couldn't find the leak as he needed someone to help him. Was told it would be $450 to test line, next day 2 men came out. We knew the leak had to be in the attic and it was found within minutes. They charged us $1100 + for less than 2 hrs maximum work done. I think they charged twice to test for leak and adjusted bill $250. I don't think that it should have been more than $600-$700 max for time spent and work done. They just had to tighten fitting and work done! We have 3 rental properties plus our own home and they would have had more business, but not now. Won't deal with company that tries to gouge customers. LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER!!!

People in Florida and Texas both are dying in ridiculous proportions from this virus as of now and apparently Schrader can't be bothered to get it's employees to take standard precautions. We had them scheduled to come on Saturday. We confirmed on Friday. Then they send a text at 7:30am Saturday to confirm again. After we already confirmed on Friday. We were sleeping and didn't see the text. They sent another text at 7:35 saying if we don't confirm they will have to reschedule us. I don't know why they needed an extra confirmation, especially through text on a Saturday morning before 8am, and then cancel. So ridiculous. Not professional at.

When you confirm the day before, and then also have to confirm the day of, that's a bit much. Especially when you call before 8am on Saturday. People don't always answer or let alone see text messages that early on a weekend. We had family in town and this was a big problem not having use of the guest toilet. Bad policy you have.

I struggled with the star rating and choose a 3 only because I wanted the owner to notice this review, call me back, and see if he could consider lowering the price of the work his skilled technicians completed today. For the record, I have already paid in full.

This company deserves a 6 on a 5-point scale for the quality of the work, the responsiveness, the integrity, and the skill of its technicians. But they only get a 1 for their pricing. One master plumber and a solid technical plumber worked on our issue for exactly 4 hours and we were given a bill for $2,300! This works out to $287.50 per hour per employee.

Our problem was that we had a slab leak and our master bedroom floor was getting hot. The issue was local and even during the free diagnostic visit, the master plumber, a skilled magician called Damien Raines, identified the problem and proposed a solution to re-route hot water through a separate pipe and bypass the leaking pipe. I only have the highest words of respect and appreciation for every aspect of my engagement with Damien.

His quote was $1,800 - $2,400 and I immediately gasped, because the quote didn't include other repair caused by their work, such as if they cut sheet rock out to insert their pipe. We had to get these done on our own. Damien assured me that if the work was straightforward, he wouldn't charge me towards the higher end of the quote. He estimated about six hours for the job.

He and his assistant started work at 3:40 PM the next day and were done by 7:40 pm. The problem was not complex in the sense that the leak was only in one pipe. The pipe run was straight, from the water heater to the problem area. They found the leak in about an hour.

To reroute a new pipe, I admit that the work done was more involved as they had to cut nearly 10 square holes in the ceiling and drill holes through the joists to run their backup PEX pipe. But it took them only about 2 1/2 hours to do this part of the job, with about 30 minutes to clean up and finish the paper work.

The work and the professionalism of the two plumbers were outstanding. The office secretary was prompt. Their system of sending email and SMS updates is excellent.

But when someone estimates work that takes about six hours and completes it within four hours, and still charges us at the highest end of the quote citing complexity of the task - I don't know what to make of it.

The way I look at it is that if I am paying hundreds of dollars an hour, easy pieces and complex pieces are all rolled in to the rate. Besides, there was not much material cost either. PEX pipe costs about $100 for 300 feet; they must have used about $15 worth of pipe. This job was all labor.

I would have been glad to pay $1,800 for the work, but Damien said the price was $2,400. I asked for a discount and Damien agreed to lower it by $100. I honored our commitment and paid $2,300.

So, why am I writing a 3-star review? It's because plumbing issues are nearly always an emergency. If the slab leak is not fixed in time, it could cost tens of thousands of dollars in foundation repair costs, not to mention the headaches. Home owners seek comfort in knowing that a skilled technician can fix the problem. Talking to Damien yesterday made me feel assured that the problem would soon go away.

And to their credit, it did. But their work, skilled though it was, didn't merit paying out $287.50 per hour per technician. Because, according to Home Guide, the average plumber rates are as follows:

The cost of a plumber ranges from $500 to $800 for large repairs, and $125 to $350 for small jobs like repairing toilets, sinks, faucets, or bathtubs. Most plumbers charge between $45 and $150 per hour, and some have a minimum service call out fee or a flat rate of $75 to $250 on average.

Had a hot water slab leak. They were very responsive, gave us an excellent reference to a leak detector, and we were presented with multiple options for repair with solid ballpark estimates from the start.

When it came time to really make a decision, they provided clear solid estimates and had no problem discussing the what if's should the repair not go as planned.

Jeff was great and on the first call out he happily replaced our cold water shutoff valve (which was old and corroded) to help us have at least cold water into the house.

They do generally use flat rates. Some might take issue with this, but I really appreciated the general predictability it provided and the incentive for them to do the job right and in a timely fashion (or the incentive to communicate early and often if things would have gone sideways.)

For those not aware, a hot water slab leak is when a pipe underneath your foundation breaks and leaks. Generally, there are three options to repair, reroute the pipe, bust through your foundation to fix or tunnel under the house. It's a pain in the neck to deal with and in worse case scenarios costs multiple thousands of dollars to repair (not including the cosmetic or structural repair after the pipe is fixed).

We went with the reroute which generally is better if you have attic space to route through. Jeff and his assistant completed the repairs in a professional manner and limited the cosmetic repairs we had to take care of afterwards. It definitely displayed an awareness that this was our home.

They definitely made my short list for any future repairs or other plumbing work in my home.

I have terrible plumbing in my house due to the previous Handyman owner. I called Schrader because they did such great work on my last call. I wish I had Tuck's number because he did such a wonderful job a few years ago when I had clogged pipes. To my surprise, Tuck rang the doorbell wearing a Schrader uniform. He quickly resolved my issue as I expected and asked to look at the master bathroom when I told him it had was not doing very well either. He explained everything that was wrong with the installation of the pipes during the remodel performed by the previous owner. He cleaned it, fixed it, and showed me some other things with detailed explanations concerning our home.

I felt very assured at every moment with Tuck and think Schrader is lucky to have him.

Great communication, on time and friendly plumber. He was respectful of my time and our house, took safety precautions which I appreciate.

However, can not recommend this company. I had them do a slab leak test and diagnose a gas leak at our pool heater. Slab leak pressure test was done as expected for $150. I already knew where the gas leak was and pointed it out to the tech. He informed me it would be another $150 for an hour of gas leak detection. He proceeded to squirt soap on the union and confirm that is where the leak was. Less than one minute of work. I was then told if I wanted that line to be capped off it would be another $150 for another hour. He went and shut off the gas, unhooked the line from the meter, and installed a cap to line. All in all I paid $450... $300 of which was for two hours of gas line work that was a total of 10 minutes and $4 in parts. I'd have been fine with $150 for finding it and an hour of remediation. The extra $150 is excessive and implies to me they aren't interested in being fair and reasonable. If he had to search or dig or even move anything to find the leak that would have been one thing, but I had done all the work.

My experience with Schrader has been excellent. From their first visit Tuesday to assess our situation to the completion of repairs Friday. The technician, Roberto, was always punctual, sometimes early, and he was very knowledgeable on not just one solution but multiple routes we could take. After finally repairing our water leak in our yard, his team put everything back together and you would never even know there was a giant 4 foot hole through all of this. Pricing was competitive. We had a water pipe freeze and burst during the winter storm that impacted Texas. Schrader Plumbing came right out to assess the damage. They located the ruptured pipe, which was high in our kitchen wall. Once we demo'd the cabinets and counter in order to open that section of wall and expose the pipe, they came right back out and immediately replaced the entire section of pipe. They conducted a test to ensure no other leaks were present. Thanks to their responsiveness, we were able to restore water service to our home. They also wore masks, for covid protocol, and boot coverings. They were professional, responsive and efficient. This was the third or fourth time we have used Schrader.

Excellent reliable service. We had a slab pipe leak which is always rotten and had gotten another estimate which was much higher and required more digging from outside. Damien and his coworker came in and completed the job in a few hours with minimal inside work....leak was underneath master bath sink - so wall had to cut under vanity. James Tuck from Schrader Plumbing was great in fixing my clogged shower drain today!

The appointment process was easy. I called to make an appointment several days ago, and I appreciated the email and text reminders after scheduling. I was told I'd have a plumber come today between 2 and 6pm. I was called at 1pm and told my plumber was on his way and would arrive in 20 minutes. Unfortunately, I was still at work so I told the scheduler on the phone that I wasn't expecting my plumber until 2pm for my 2-6pm window. She said I was scheduled for 12-4pm (although I rechecked my confirmation email which CLEARLY says 2-6pm window). Anyway, she told me the plumber could meet me there at 2pm. I didn't really love this conversation with her, as I felt like she suggested I was in the wrong about the arrival window that had been scheduled for me.

Upon James' arrival, I immediately felt better about the situation and tried to forget my frustration about the conversation I had with the scheduling lady a bit ago. James was friendly and very quick in fixing the clogged drain (from hair and grout blockage). I appreciated his efficiency (and he did a great job!) because I had to head back to work as soon as possible. I would recommend James to everyone. He was great!!

I quickly paid with credit card (no additional credit card fee), and I appreciated the invoice I received by email for my records. I will definitely use James again for my plumbing needs.

I called Schrader Plumbing after reading the positive reviews regarding a sewer line issue. Roberto was efficient, polite and never tried to out talk or up-sell me...he gave me honest advice (even for work they were not going to perform) and what I feel like is a fair quote when it's time to replace the line. As a woman, I'm always so paranoid that I'm going to be given the run around but Roberto was awesome and honest. He made sure I was seeing and understanding everything and was very thorough. I also appreciated that they sent a text message with a photo of the plumber that was going to be arriving; it definitely gave me a sense of security. Scheduling the appointment was easy; I filled out the form online on a Sunday night and they called me early the next morning.

My only complaint is that I had called the office ahead of his arrival and let them know I needed to have a camera run down the line, and possibly have it snaked. When Roberto showed up, he had to leave again to go get the camera from another plumber. It just wasn't efficient...but if that's my only complaint, I'll take it.

My in-laws had a kitchen sink stoppage, so I looked on yelp for good reviews. I came across Schrader Plumbing, and they had great reviews. I'm SO GLAD I chose them. From Starr at their reception, to Matt Workman, the experience was top notch.

The work was even worse than I thought. When I had someone come fix the 2 ft gaping hole, I noticed the dryer vent wasn't even attached correctly by the plumber. It came out with just a little movement. For a quote that came out at the highest end of average and this lack of quality, please look elsewhere for a plumber. It thought I was getting quality work because of the vast review, but they definitely do not deliver.

We contacted Schrader Plumbing to get a pipe repaired as well as an estimate for a possible complete pipe replacement. Rafael came out for the estimate - he was very prompt (they gave us a window of 8:30-12:00 and he arrived at 8:30 on the dot), courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. After inspecting our plumbing he determined the overall piping was in working shape and the only issue we had was the pipe we needed repair for. It was refreshing to get a company that does fair assessments and does not try to tack on services/repairs you don't need. He was able to do the repair the same day. Gave me quote for some crazy repair. Option I was given was to replace all pipes for $8k. Had another plumber do it for $2k. That other plumber told me I didn't need to do all of the things this company told me I needed. Like replacing all the gas pipe to one unit of the duplex to pass inspection. All it needed was to replace a small pipe (angled pipe not sure of the name) by the gas wall heater, and it passed inspection.

Brad Threadgill is the best plumber I have had work on a home. I have had the misfortune of dealing with multiple plumbing issues over the past few year . As a result, I have worked with multiple plumbers. They all come in with promises and give you a similar line to get the job. I'll be honest, when Brad came in smiling and telling me what he was going to be able to do for my family, I was a little skeptical that he was being truthful. He delivered on his word and was unlike any plumber I have worked with or heard about. Turns out the smile was genuine and he cares about his work and customers.

My experience with the team at Schrader Plumbing was overall very positive. Provided a timely and accurate written quote. Showed up when they said they would (changed from original time but contacted us beforehand-which is very good ). While they were unable to complete all of what we wanted (no fault of theirs as it was an existing add on construction issue) the workman were neat, courteous, efficient & effective AND addressed the main issue. While I hope to never have to call a plumber for a leak again, I am thankful for Yelp as that is where I found these guys and just like the majority of their reviews showed, they take care of their customers.

From first phone call to completed project the folks at Schrader Plumbing were friendly, efficient, professional and models of customer service.
I called Schrader on a Fri late morning because I had no hot water. Star, the scheduler, was able to give me an appointment for that afternoon. That blew me away because I have never had such fast plumbing service in my life! Don Farley came out to evaluate the problem. He was a very friendly professional gentleman. He found that my 18 year old water heater had sprung a leak. Don gave me a very reasonable estimate for replacement. I expected that I would be suffering through the weekend with no hot water. Don, however said he could replace it immediately. Now I was blown away a second time because I had never experienced that quick response when dealing with other plumbing companies on other plumbing emergencies.
Because of their great service I am now a dedicated Schrader Plumbing customer.

I am extremely happy with Schrader Plumbing! Matthew and Mondo were polite, informative, and did a great job! My kitchen sink was backed up and the pipe underneath was dripping. Matthew fixed the leak in no time, and came back with the electric snake to clear out several years worth of sludge that my handheld 50ft drain auger couldn't get farther than 16 inches in. I was notified via text and email at every step - confirmation of booking, when they were en route, and a summary of services and receipt after they finished up. What I appreciated the most was that Matthew made sure to talk through the problem, procedure, and all my options with me, and recommended trying the snake before resorting to the much more expensive hydro jet. Should I ever need a plumber again, I will absolutely be calling Schrader Plumbing and requesting Matthew.

We had a sewer clean out back up, the two men that came arrived prior to our appointment (great for us!) they were very helpful, walked me through the whole process and ran the camera to find out what was causing our back up. Much to our surprise it was the cap that was supposed to be on the clean out, instead of just clearing the back up. they took the time to try and get the cap unlodged so that it would not happen again instead of just a quick fix that would require more services later. They took the time to help and solved our problem and saved us a lot of money. They were exceptional and went above and beyond and we will use them again if the need arises, thank you!

I liked the owner's (John Schrader) efficient approach to interaction with customers. I don't need someone to hold my hands and don't have time to shoot the bull. He doesn't either and we handled all comms via texting. End of the project he emailed the invoice and I paid via PayPal. They also handled coordinating with the city on the inspection. Super convenient start to finish.

As for the project work, two crews were used, one to dig the trench and another to plumb the line. Both crews were top notch and got after it. I know a little about plumbing with PVC and was impressed with the sewer line install -- it was just and true.

I could add a bunch of gushing superlatives, but there's plenty of those in the previous reviews.

No one wants to make a plumbing call right at the holidays, but this company and tech were definitely worth the call. James Tuck came out and was extremely thorough, professional and polite. Our double sinks were clogged so bad they weren't draining at all. My husband is pretty handy and snaked the line but couldn't get it. Grateful James fixed it, and it's draining like it did when we first built our home. He took the time to explain everything to us, and we won't hesitate to call and even request him to come out if we have any further plumbing needs. You've got a great company and great employees!! At 7:53, I received a call to schedule my services for today. When I spoke to the owner last night at 8:30, he said someone would call this morning and I would be leak-free this evening. He forgot to mention I'd be left feeling amazed by their customer service!

During my scheduling call, I was told someone would arrive within the hour. Less than 15 minutes later, Matt was at my door. Including a trip to Home Depot, Matt was finished less than an hour later. When he was finished, we talked a little more, then he went back to make sure I was still leak-free before asking me to sign paperwork and give payment.

As a new homeowner, they made this process easy and quick! I would absolutely recommend them!

As an added bonus, I received a picture and short bio of Matt before he arrived. Since it was just my daughter and I at home this morning, that made me feel so at ease since I knew who to expect and what he'd look like.
Also, Matt told me his plan, told me why he thought that would be best and then had another option to suggest in the event I didn't like that.

Fabulous customer service. So far, fabulous work. If this changes (which I highly doubt!), I'll update my review.

Be careful! These guys use flat rate pricing. The flat rate to replace a sink cartridge-that we provided-was $250.00! It took Tuck about 15 minutes to do the job. That's about $1000.00 an hour! And We had to call them to come back out and fix the hot water pressure the same afternoon. Not happy campers.

Today, I had Schrader Plumbing come out to replace two toilet shut off valves that were 13 years old and had gone bad and that I was scared to tackle on my own. My tech, Damien, showed up on time with a friendly handshake. He gave me an estimate for the job before he began, which I approved. While at my home, I also asked him for a rough estimate of the cost of replacing my gas water heater, which he provided promptly.

Damien was very professional and efficient, both in performing the valve replacement work and in discussing replacing the water heater. I am very impressed with Damien and with Schrader Plumbing and how they operate. I will definitely use them when time comes to replace my water heater and for any more unexpected plumbing needs.

It is comforting to know that I now have an expert plumber to call when I need them.

If you need a plumber, call Schrader and ask to have Damien come out and perform the work. You won't be disappointed.

It's a busy time for plumbers right now and most would not even return my call. Schrader called me back immediately and had someone out the next day to fix my issue. There is so much to be said about Schrader Plumbing. We were like most customers, impacted by the Texas winter storm. Over two weeks we searched and called various plumbers for parts and advice on our issue; quite exhausting with all the different information out there. Found Schrader while doing a Yelp search. Damien was able to come out the next day to assess our situation. He was super nice, knowledgeable, and professional. They were able to get what we needed and resolved it all on the same day. Other plumbers were either not responsive or super expensive. I understand all plumbers are super busy at this time but the attention and care is what made all the difference in the world. These people are great! They responded to my quote within 30 minutes. We set up a time for them to come out and give me a bid. The tech. arrived on time and I explained what needed to be done and what I wanted. He was very professional and detailed out what and how he would to accomplishment everything. The quote was in line with 2 other companies, but he came across the most professional and easy to work with.

Schrader called me the morning they were coming out and said the tech. was on his way. He removed and replaced both of the washing machine faucets, water heater faucet and both outside faucets and unplugged a tub drain in about 3 hours.

I had a slow leak under my drive for about 4 years . I explained to the techs that I pretty much got nothing from the insurance company to fix the repair and needed them to give me the best option and price they could .. I didn't have 5k to get this repaired! All the other estimates I got were around 5k . These men talked to me about what they could do and said they'd talk to the owner to see if it was doable . They called me the next day and said let's get this done! Within 3 days this job was completed for $3500 ! They bored under the driveway and bypassed the old water line and connected to the outside water line to the house and did not have to break any concrete at all which was what the other companies said they have to do and that I would have to fill in the space myself with some sort of rock or whatever at some point !! I was extremely happy with the professionalism of this team and the integrity of their word on how to fix this was greatly appreciated. Thank you for a job well done at a price I could afford . I had several quotes to fix a gas leak in the service line from my meter to the manifold in my attic, Matt Berry from Schrader gave me an honest no-nonsense assessment of the fix at a very fair price - saving me well over a grand compared to what others would have charged me. Within 48 hours he was back to do the job, which within that time he managed to locate the replacement line and have it shipped from the Midwest to his local supplier. He and his helper Rodney did superb work and I have total confidence in this company as a result of the entire experience. I have used Schrader twice now, they are an old-school, no bs outfit that does not try to up sell you on work that you do not need done. I will not have another job done on my house if it isn't Matt or Schrader doing it.

After reviewing our problem, John Schrader (the owner) went out of his way to explain the issue to not only me, but also my friend from my home town who is a plumber. My friend said John's diagnosis accurate and fee was very reasonable given the labor required and the large market we live in (Fort Worth). A Schrader technician was punctual the day of the repair and had everything addressed in half the time he originally projected. Schrader Plumbing is first class. They are organized, clear communicators, and care about solving your problem.

It was Sunday afternoon and my wife is full term pregnant. Our sewer line backed up in the house. We needed help as soon as possible and within 20 minutes he was here and working on our house.

He not only got our line working but took extra time past that point to run a larger cleaning head to be sure we wouldn't have any problems going forward.

We opted to review the line with his camera. He noticed a bit of debris and went back and ran the line again with the cleaner. You could see the difference with the camera on the next pass.

I am a professional civil engineer working in the construction industry. This is the type of technician I look for in the industry.

Thank you Schrader Plumbing!! I hope his wife forgives him for taking time to help us today.

I initially called in for a water leak and ended up getting more work done by them. Scheduling was a breeze and was able to get me in within a reasonable amount of time. Never pressured me for extra services and instead just advised me to eventually get it done. I got the extra things done right away by them because of their honesty. Rafael came out to repair a leak under my kitchen sink and to retrieve 2 AA batteries I had dropped in the bathroom sink. He ended up replacing part of the pipe. He also addressed a few other problems - reset the temp. in my shower, adjusted the flapper I had installed in my toilet & explained how to replace it again should I ever need to, & repaired a faucet in the front bathroom as well as replacing the hot water line under the kitchen sink. I will be using Schrader again should I ever need a plumber again. Rafael was very courteous and kind. Being a senior citizen, it is very important that I feel comfortable with people that come into my home & I did. The $25.00 discount was very much appreciated and Starr is as sweet as can be.

My water heater decided to give up on me and I was in desperate need for repair. I contacted another plumbing company but was very frustrated from horrible customer service. We had a hair clog in one of our sinks. I called Schrader whom I've used before. Just like the last time they responded right away. I called late afternoon and they came next morning. Schrader Plumbing was amazing! Jeff came out and gave me a second opinion after another plumbing company told me they would need to tear out my floors to fix a plumbing issue. Jeff fixed multiple plumbing issues in my home for less than a TENTH of the price that the other plumbing company quoted me, and my floors didn't need to be torn out! There was some miscommunication with the first plumber and Schrader brought me a new toilet and installed it at no charge, they also installed a new tub faucet at no charge. Schrader Plumbing did a wonderful job with a few repairs I needed. My water shut off valves were very old and very leaky. They were dug up and replaced with new quarter turn ball valves. I had a few leaks under the sink that I discovered a couple days before the shut off valve appointment. John was able to schedule those repairs on the same day as the original appointment. Very accommodating. The price did come in a little higher than other plumbers quoted. I was happy paying the difference because the service was professional, friendly, honest, and accommodating and the parts installed seem to be of good quality. All John's work came with a 1 year warranty too adding to my peace of mind. I'm very satisfied.

I highly recommend. Called late Thursday and had an appointment (hot water heater went out) for first thing Friday morning. Immediately had an email confirming the appointment. At 7:30, Jeff Burks (with Schrader) texted me to let me know he was on his way. Jeff and Armando arrived. They assessed the situation, explained what they diagnosed, gave me an enclusive price in the range I expected. By 12:30 I had a new hot water heater in place and Jeff went over all the items I needed to know. I appreciated their friendly and professional service. I needed to have a couple of outdoor faucets replaced. I found Schrader on yelp and was impressed with their great reviews. Schrader responded with a very reasonable quote within an hour. After we scheduled a time, they ran into a delay on another job. John did a great job of communicating the delay and working with me to find another convenient time. The plumbers showed up on-time and quickly made the repairs. Both of the plumbers were very professional and courteous. This was the best experience I have had with a plumber. I just had probably one of the best experiences with James Tuck from Schrader Plumbing. With a baby due any day and my husband away in the Navy, I instantly felt anxiety when the washer drain and kitchen sink simultaneously started back flowing. After having a plumber from another company come fix the issue 6 months ago, the problem happened again. Not only was James able to come out the same day, but he took the time to listen to the problem and my attempts to fix the issue in detail. He then laid out a plan and explained the logic with a quote. The cost didn't seem outrageous, as I was expecting to pay a pretty penny to diagnose and ultimately resolve the issue. I am so grateful I can sleep in peace tonight. If you do use Schrader Plumbing, I highly recommend requesting James Tuck to get the job done. We needed our kitchen drain hydro-jetted because it was packed with decades of grease. After calling around, I landed on John who offered a really reasonable price (especially compared to the rooter-type people), didn't over-promise, and was a Master Plumber. He showed up on time, he went above and beyond in clearing out that line all the way to the street, he explained what he was doing as he did it, and the price was more than fair. The drains in the back bathrooms were really slow. We were expecting a houseful of family for the holidays, so we called Schrader out to check it out. James Tuck and all the members of the Schrader plumbing organization are AMAZING! I called Schrader Plumbing on Saturday afternoon after another plumber had fixed the clogged drain line unsuccessfully. My stress level was at an all time high and this company completely eased my mind and solved my problems with honesty and integrity!! They sent text messages with ETA updates and even sent me a picture of James before he arrived. (Amazing security feature!!) James worked diligently for several hours on Saturday evening to get my lines cleaned out enough to allow me to stay in my home through the remainder of the weekend. After he left, the owner John Schrader, called me to reassure me that the overall repair would be completed on Monday morning! What great customer service! The four foot deep, root clogged lines were exposed in an efficient and professional manner, repaired and completely fixed today! Throughout the entire process the team from Schrader, most especially James Tuck, kept me informed and updated. I can not say enough wonderful things about this company and James Tuck!!

I had to call Schrader Plumbing to my house twice in the last five days. My house had been vacant for two years and when I turned the water on, bad things happened. First, I noticed water coming out of my garage. That is never a good thing. One of my friends found Schrader through her neighbor recommended them to me. They were out the next day and had problem #1 fixed quickly. Because I didn't have water on, I didn't immediately notice that my water heater wasn't heating. Originally, I thought it was either a breaker or maybe the thermostat needed an adjustment. When that didn't work, I called Schrader a second time. Before they arrived the next day, my floater in the toilet sprung a leak. I called to add that to my service call. They repaired the thermostat on the water heater and replaced the floater system in my toilet. Again, quick, courteous service. I will use them again in the future!

I was pleased with the service. Setting up an appointment is so easy and they let you know a specific timeframe in which they will arrive and it is very accurate. James Tuck worked on our plumbing. He came out to snake our main line which was backed up from tree roots growing into it. He did additional quotes for two leaky faucets and fixed them on the spot as well. He was friendly and professional. Plumbing is always costly, but it easier to handle when you are dealing with a company like this. It's been a week and we have had no troubles with the plumbing. Mr. Tuck did a great job.

Very pleased with Schrader Plumbing (particularly Jeff and Trevor) who came out when we were having problems with both our hot water heaters. I had a different plumbing service come out a week ago who found nothing wrong and said it was an electrical problem. So we had an electrician come out who really thought it was a plumbing issue. This time I called Schrader and they offered to send a plumber out that day. I elected for first thing the next morning. I appreciated the texts and emails confirming my scheduled job and who was coming. They also called the morning of letting me know they were on their way. I appreciated the 2hr window (instead of the usual 4hr window) and even better they were on time! Jeff and Trevor explained everything perfectly, and fingers crossed this has solved our on-going issues, but if not Jeff assured me the work is warranted for 30 days. I would definitely recommend calling Schrader if you are having plumbing issues.

I read the other Yelp reviews prior to reaching out, and they were completely accurate. I had a wonderful experience with Schrader Plumbing! John Schrader emailed me back within about 20 minutes in response to my initial web-form inquiry at 11:30pm, which in itself was impressive. I then got a call at 8:30am the following morning from the office, and they sent one of their plumbers (Matt, who's a rockstar) out the same day. They sent an email and text message with a profile about Matt in advance, and followed up prior to Matt' (right on time) arrival to let me know he was on his way. The professionalism at every level of this company was was truly exceptional. Matt installed a new shower head, tub faucet, and fixed a leak in the shower, all quickly and efficiently.. but what I was most impressed with was the extra effort he put forth in providing general advice for routine upkeep and for the future projects I have planned for my long-term home renovation. Outstanding!!!

I live in 35 year old home and had a leaking shower that was damaging my sheet rock. This guy has been doing plumbing for years and it didn't take him long to isolate the problem. He was very courteous and charged a very reasonable fee.

Honestly, I can't give this man any higher recommendation for residential plumbing. He went to get a specialized part and came back to finish the installation. You should seriously consider using this man as your go to guy... he's honest.

I moved into a new place and needed to replace a garbage disposal. I called Schrader Plumbing and was told there were no available appointments till the next week. Star (I hope I have the name correct) offered to call if there was a cancellation. Within 30 minutes I received a call from Star letting me know Matt was available to evaluate my concern. John was the only plumbing to come to my house on a Sunday afternoon after calling 5 others. My husband was out of town and I was dealing with a slab leak on my own. My daughter found Schrader plumbing after looking on Yelp. Even though he was booked until Tuesday, he turned off my water to stop the leaking pipe and left his water key with me in case I needed to turn back on the water for my dogs or myself! He came back Tuesday at the exact time promised and repaired our slab leak. We hired him to come back the next week and replace our 2 water heaters as they were old, noisy, and in our attic. John and his assistant were great to work with and very professional!

I had a clog where the water from my washing machine backed up into my kitchen sink! I found John's number online and called him. He called me back in less than 5 minutes and worked with me to figure out a time to meet with my busy schedule. He took the time to explain what was going on in plain English for me and answer all of my (many) questions. He snaked my drain in less than an hour and fixed the clog. Since then, I had a question about my garbage disposal not working properly/leaking a little. I texted him and he came by and checked it out that night between two of his other jobs. It had eroded and I needed a new one. He told me he could do it and gave me his pricing, but told me it was rather simple and my boyfriend could probably do it on his own. I appreciate the fact that he didn't try to take advantage of my business and was genuine enough of a person to tell me to save my money!

He is very thorough, patient and extremely quick to respond. I like that I can text him or call him - whichever is more convenient for me at the time - and he gets back to me within minutes.

I will absolutely continue to give him my business!
