Our water heater tank suddenly stop working leaving us the discomfort of having without hot water. I searched for plumbing company and Obsta plumbing always comes up with recommendations from the people. I told my husband about it and he called Obsta Plumbing and requested for their service. Justin A. came to our house with his teammate, checked out the tank location and explained very well the things we needed to know on what to choose for the tank replacement. We chose to have the tankless water heater. They installed it and we are very happy and grateful for the superb work that they have done. They are very professional, honest and straight to the point.We recommend Obsta Plumbing!!! Good company with good people and service!

Needed a quote for a plumbing service. They would not provide a free quote over the phone. Instead, they wanted to come out to the house and see the work to give a $115 estimate. The estimate fee is waived only if I decide to use their service. What a way to entrap and lock customers from paying the $115. Avoid at all cost. Bad business model.

Our church and childcare center have been using Obsta Plumbing for years for all our plumbing needs. Clogged toilets, dishwasher issues, gas leak test, etc! Always professional, curtious, and kind. Small businesses supporting other small businesses!

Years ago Paul Obsta did some plumbing repairs at my home and he did great work for a fair price. So naturally I called Obsta Plumbing the next time I needed work done. Didn't have the same great experience with employee Justin Allen because he kept hiking the price up above the original quote (which was already above competitor pricing) for things that were supposed to be included. I paid anyway because I didn't want to start the process over with a new company, and hoped I'd get Paul again for the next call. I didn't. All in all, I have spent thousands of dollars in routine plumbing maintenance & repairs with this company. The last visit was the straw that broke the camel's back. Justin Allen and a tech came to my house and acted like they couldn't be bothered to do what they came to do, but charged me for the work anyway. I called back to their company several times to remind them that specific work was requested and they sent the same guy back out again, but he never completed the tasks. Of course I was billed top dollar for incomplete work. The definition of crazy is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different outcome, so I won't be calling Obsta Plumbing ever again.

We had a back up in our plumbing line that started late at night.  We contacted Obsta and they were able to help us get out of the EMERGENCY so we could get through the night and then they were here 1st thing in the morning! Fast, Friendly and Efficient Service!!!!
I would give them 100 's if I could!

We had an extremely weird plumbing problem. Paul from Obsta Plumbing came out and had it resolved in three hours. Excellent work, fair price. I couldn't have asked for more. I will definitely use Obsta again when the need arises!!

I wish I could give a better recommendation but I did not have a good experience with them.  
I did not deal with the owner but with his partner, and another tech with him.  They were not very polite and came in nonchalantly with their boots on while it was raining outside. There just wasn't a caring good vibe.  
On top of that we still don't really understand what they did under our kitchen sink.  There are hoses now everywhere and attachments and it's difficult to sort things out under there.  We're calling another plumbing to hopefully get it straight.

Daniel was awesome. We had a previous botched job with garbage disposal; had too much puping, & incorrect angle of pipes. Thank you Daniel you made under sink real cleaned up & pretty and best part I have my new garbage disposal!!!!

The crew (Johnny) arrived on time, were very professional on the job, fixed the issue, and charged a reasonable rate for service.  This is the 2nd time I've used Obsta and will continue to use them for future plumbing needs.

So I'll be up front and say I'm not the smartest homeowner. One of the bathrooms had a clogged sink and my wife asked next door neighbors if they had a recommendation. After reading a few glowing recommendations, we called Obsta. They were prompt in their response and I believe sent someone over the next day. Without spending more than 2 mins on the diagnosis, the plumber said it's the A/C draining into the same pipe as the bathroom. We knew about the algae build up since this happened a couple of years ago and thought this is normal. The plumber said he was going to pour down some industrial strength sulfuric acid that only he can get. Sure enough it cleared the clog. Total charge for this effort: $175.

Turns out algae build up is common and you are supposed to pour Clorox down the t-pipe connector (if you have one) that drains the A/C.

Here's why I think they deserve only 2 stars. They were prompt and they fixed the problem.

A better solution would have been to spend a few mins in the attic and recommend installing a t-pipe connector on the drain line from the A/C so we can do a better job at maintenance. Or maybe both A/C's shouldnt drain into the same pipe and lets reroute unit A somewhere else. Or anything, but let's pour good old industrial strength sulfuric acid down the pipes.

Truly one of the best most honest plumbing company in Katy! Very prompt and reliable ! Highly recommend! I also appreciate they are family owned and operated!

What a great locally owned and operated company. Making an appointment was so easy. The plumbers they sent out were very knowledgeable and were able to explain exactly what was wrong and what the repair needed to be. I'm so happy with Obsta Plumbing. I will only use them from now on!

Called Obsta for miscellaneous plumbing work at my home. Even agreed to $115 quote charge if I did not have get the work done from them, because of the review. Their quote was anything but reasonable. $115 down the drain.

Remember, a honest company would give a free quote as they would know that their quote is reasonable. Only a dishonest company will try to make money out of quotes. An expensive  lesson learnt.

Locally owned, family business. So far, they've replaced my old water heater with a tankless. Communication is excellent, reasonably priced is an understatement. Top-notch customer service. Really happy I found them and will definitely use them for a couple of other smaller plumbing projects to my home. Keep up the great work!

After a no show from a different company, I called Obsta Plumbing.  I spoke with Dorinda over the phone and scheduled a toilet and pedestal sink install for the following morning.  The gentlemen called to let me know they were on their way, arrived promptly, and got to work.  They were both friendly and knowledgeable.  They didn't waste any time and they completed the install properly.  When they left, they didn't leave any sort of mess.  I would most definitely use Obsta again!

I had the hose to a kitchen sink replaced by Obsta plumbing in July of this year.  The day after Thanksgiving the junction between the hose and the faucet came loose and flooded the entire underside of the sink and the kitchen floor.  I called Obsta and was told it would $660 just for a service call.  I questioned if this was possibly a mistake and was put on hold for over 10 minutes.  I was then told that indeed a service call would be $660.  I asked to speak with someone else to confirm this (especially since it was a problem related to previous work by Obsta).  I was told someone would call me back.  No one ever returned the call.

Have used Obsta three times in last five years.  Excellent service, fast response time and very fair pricing.  All the guys that have come out have been professional and nice to deal with.

Had a great experience with this company. The owner came out himself and was very knowledgeable on what issues there could be with buying our new home. I believe it was a fair cost for identifying potential issues with plumbing under the house. I recommend using this company as they are small and really care about your issues.

I just had work done by Obsta. They were recommended to me by neighbors and I am so happy I went with them. The guys that came to my house were very courteous and persistent to find the issue. The total price was extremely reasonable. Overall, great service!!!

I've used Obsta Plumbing for over 4 years.  They've done plumbing work at commercial properties I manage and they have done plumbing work at my home, including re-piping my entire house.  They show up on time, the work area is immaculate when they leave and their prices are competitive.  All of their employees, including the answering service/ receptionist is very polite, respectful and helpful. Paul, the owner, supervises every job and if there is a change in the work due to an unforeseen issue, he notifies me and explains everything before proceeding.  I have referred this company to other property managers and they won't use anyone else.  They're the best plumbing company I have ever worked with and I won't use anyone else.

Obsta was at my home in June of this year -,2016. An apprentice-I assume- did the work under the supervision of another plumber.. I had reported 2 faucet fixtures that were leaking and issues with the drain stoppers not holding water.I was told the kitchen faucet needed to be replaced, but went ahead and let them install new turn off valves in the kitchen due to their age and condition. Later I purchased a new faucet on my own..They replaced a flapper in a bathroom that is seldom used- charged $85 for that. Bathroom sink cold water faucet was leaking. They needed to replace it with a cartridge-something I was not familiar with.They did not have the cartridge in their truck so they left and returned with 2 new cartridges and installed them. The cost of the cartridges was excessive. I could have purchased 2 new fixtures for what I was charged for those 2 parts, and I feel that I should have been advised of that before they left to purchase the correct part. They adjusted the two drain stoppers-one wasn't attached at all the the second was too low. That took 5 minutes, but unfortunately they didn't ask me to try them and check the speed of drainage, so now both are on the slowest setting possible and take forever to drain, so made the problem even worse. That evening I noticed that the cold water faucet that had a new cartridge was still leaking, so I called and they returned the next day and tightened it-no charge.The pricing for this amount of work,I felt was extremely high, so I will not use them again or recommend them.
