Madaras Electrical

We have been using Madaras since he first started this business.   His prices are fair, he is always on time, and he does excellent work.  Plus he is really nice!!
We have used him to install ceiling fans, outdoor lights, and even hang a chandelier.  
If you want someone who does a great job at a good price, this is your guy!
Also, you will be supporting a family business.

I had a bad experience trying to work with Madras Electrical, it was like pulling teeth trying to talk to the person answering the phone they seemed completely disinterested in helping me and when I finally convinced them to try to do a survey they said they don't do the Houston area even though I was inside the coverage area of the map shown on yelp.  

I've since been informed by the business owner that they don't serve the Houston area but these still doesn't excuse the bad customer service on the phones or why I would have to work hard to convince a business in considering taking a job.

I have used Madaras for years. Always on time, does great work and knowledgable. Highly recommended.

Kevin and Mercedes have both been to our home on two occasions to install a slew of lighting around our home. After Harvey came through and left a little over two and a half feet of water in our home, almost no part of our home was left untouched when it had to be redone and we also had a chance to do some upgrades as well and they were very helpful with both.

Before they came in, they had also done some great work for us 3 years. They had installed some recessed lighting in our kitchen and living room, and we had never had problem with the work.

Before starting the job, we had researched the look and items we wanted installed, but as we walked the job with Kevin on the initial consultation, we were grateful to have his honest opinions and considerations when it came to styles and price that would work best in that room, whether it was more or less expensive than what we were asking for.

So in the first trip out they did lighting above and below our cabinets, recessed lighting in our closets, bathrooms, secondary bedrooms, and hallways. Installed pendants over the kitchen bar and 3 sconces in the master bath. They also switched out all our switches for more updated ones and put dimmers in some rooms. In my laundry room, Kevin had to move the electrical in one wall to make room for a pocket door an install a new lighting switch on another wall.

The next time, unfortunately one of our upper cabinet lights was not working anymore, as well as a recessed light in the bathroom, so Kevin took care of it no problem.

The rest of the job entailed us changing our mind on the lights over the bar, and so Kevin had to switch them out with another set. Also, hang the pendant over the breakfast room table, the recessed lights in our master bedroom, and install a bluetooth component to a bathroom fan and new switch for the fan.

We still have more work for him to do, but you know how construction goes. But if you need a team for electrical that is reliable and does excellent work, and you can trust what they suggest, this is your team.

Each experience with Madaras has been very positive. The always answer the phone and work to schedule the work as quickly as possible. They also do an excellent of job of following up to get the electrician to your home sooner if their schedule changes and they are able to work you in. They know how to maintain and really work their waiting list, unlike many other companies I have used in the past.

Kevin is always prompt, arrives on time, and provides excellent customer service. He offers creative solutions and his work is high quality. We also like the fact that he is friendly, but able to complete the work quickly without delay.

Because we own a 30 year old home and we have been updating, we are on a first name basis with Kevin and his wife, who runs the office. We trust them to provide excellent work at a fair price, so we do not call anyone else.

We highly recommend Madaras for all electrical work.

Made contact through Yelp, requesting a quote for their hourly rate. Mercedes replied very quickly with the hourly rate and what my particular tasks would cost. I booked an appointment and their new employee, Derek, showed up right on time. This guy knows his stuff! Got a motion sensor outdoor light installed in place of a regular front door light. Also had a couple outlets checked and one had to be replaced. Derek made quick but competent work of all tasks. One outdoor task had to be postponed due to weather and again, Derek showed up exactly on time, and put a second light up in just a few minutes. Derek was also nice enough to answer questions about other areas in my home, and what certain light bulbs could be used for.  This company was recommended to me and I highly recommend them as well.  Will be using Madaras for all my electrical needs.

I had a great experience working with Kevin. He gave me a an estimate for the work to be done and was flexible to change the work on the day of installation. HIs price and quality of work are above what you get from other contractors.

I needed to add a NEMA 14-50 outlet in the garage for charging my BMW i3.  The quote that I received thru email was very reasonable.  They called me to letting me know that Kevin was on the way and he arrived on time, finished the work fast and kept the work area clean.  The final cost came out to be lower than the email quote and I was also able to use a coupon from their website which made the final cost at least $50 lower than the other electricians.  
When I need an electrician in the future, I know who I am going to call.

They are so quick to get back with you and schedule quickly.  Kevin is very professional and will work to find your problem, even when it takes some time-lol.  He replaced our electrical box and did so in the time window he had given us for a great price!  It even ended up costing less than we originally were quoted.
He had to come back out to replace a light that was acting weird and did so very quickly.

Very impressed with Madaras Electrical!  Mercedes was professional and accommodating when we spoke on the phone and scheduled my appointment.  She called about 20 minutes prior to my appointment to let me know Kevin was on his way.  I had a 2 hour window and he showed up within 5-10 minutes of that window (that never happens!). Kevin was beyond amazing! He knew exactly how to fix BOTH of the problems I called about, immediately.  I think he was in and out of my house within 30-45 minutes, and fixed TWO problems during that time.  He was extremely knowledgeable, and probably one of the friendliest maintenance people I've ever worked with.  If I EVER need electrician services again, I'm calling Madaras Electrical!!!

So many positive things to say about them! Kevin and Mercedes were awesome! They are truly a team that worked together and made the whole situation a simple task. He did several services and upgrades to our house. He explained everything and was priced just right. Thank you for coming and making our house AMAZING!

I cannot say enough good things about Kevin (and Mercedes). The cost and quality of the work is just outstanding. I would have given 6 stars if possible. I have used Kevin numerous times and the experience is just the same. If you need electrician work done just give them a call. You'll not be disappointed.

I will never use any other electrical company! Kevin Madaras is honest, dependable and very reasonably priced. I've used them on several occasions and he's never let me down.

Kevin is efficient, knowledgeable, and goes out of his way to make sure you are happy. He replaced an ugly ceiling fan with a small chandelier & rewired an outlet for me at a very reasonable price. I would not hesitate to use Madaras for any future electrical projects I may have & I highly recommend them. :)

Kevin and Mike are awesome!  We had them install new pendant lights in our kitchen and a new ceiling fan on our patio, and are very happy with the work.  The entire process was very smooth and they provided timely, excellent, and affordable service--I highly recommend Madaras for anyone in need of an electrical work.  I will definitely call them again for my future projects.

We were having problems with our GFI outlet tripping every time we plugged in anything outside or it rained, so we called Madaras Electrical. The electrician came on time and stayed to answer any questions about anything electrical in our house. He replaced the GFI outlet and an outer outlet cover. He tested the outside flood lights and determined that a couple of them were no longer good. He advised us about how to avoid tripping the GFI - wrapping connections outside so no moisture will get in. He also checked a flickering light in the garage and fixed that! Very helpful and efficient! I would recommend this company for any electrical needs. We will be calling them again.

They are by far the best experience I've had with electricians. The technicians are very professional. I was impressed with how punctual they were and they do a great job at letting me know when the technician is on his way. The work they do is great and they're very easy to work with. I highly recommend them and plan on using them in the future.

Fantastic, professional service for a very reasonable price all around.  Mercedes actually walked me through my issue on the phone to see if I could fix it myself (and save us money!).  When I couldn't, Kevin once again was timely and efficient and explained our electrical issue clearly.  There's a reason why Madaras Electrical keeps getting 5-star reviews...!

I can't say enough regarding the excellent service provided by Kevin and Mike of Madaras Electrical.  They arrived on time for our scheduled appointment to trouble shoot an electrical problem that would cause a shock when metal was touched in our outdoor kitchen.  Unfortunately, it was necessary to climb into a quite small space under a sink and beside a refrigerator to access the electrical boxes, but Kevin accomplished  this with ease and good attitude even in the Houston heat.  After finding the problem he was able to apply some creative ingenuity and he devised a solution to fix the problem.  After cleaning up the area I was presented with a bill that was unbelievably fair in price.  I would absolutely recommend Madaras Electrical to anyone in need of electrical services.  They are fair and professional.

Two weeks ago I scheduled an appointment for this company to come out and give us a quote for kitchen electrical. I called today to check on our appointment and Mercedes answered the phone. She is very rude and abrupt. She told me that there is a 3 hour window and that appointments are for PAYING CUSTOMERS! I told Mercedes that the nature of free quotes  is to gain business and this company is not the only company that gives free quotes everyone does it. Mercedes then told me that they can not pass up appointments with paying customers just to come out and give a free quote! Mercedes should not be allowed to answer the phone nor book appointments or quotes. This company has a lot to learn about customer service. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else - I know we will.

Extremely pleased with Kevin. He was punctual, very knowledgeable, worked efficiently. I received a phone call from their office to let me know he  was on his way. Invoice was very reasonable.  I will definately call Madras Electrical for my electric issues.

Kevin has been out to our home three times now. Each time, he has been on time or early and quickly diagnoses and takes care of the problem. Have his number saved in my phone as electric guy so I can also find him quickly! I will be calling him each time I'm in need of electrical work.
