Bob and his brother Rich have been managing Lister Plumbing since 2003 when their father retired. Rich has over 30 years of plumbing experience in Galveston and is sometimes able to work miracles. Lister Plumbing strives to provide the best quality service to our customers by attracting and retaining the best plumbers. The eve of Christmas Eve I called Lister plumbing to check our frozen pipes. I was desperate, we were expecting family for Christmas lunch. He came Christmas Eve morning. He gave us advice on accepting that the pipes were frozen and reassured us by predicting that they would melt before Christmas and he was right. also he gave us advice for protecting our pipes next time. Plus He took the time hook up the gas line for a new fireplace insert with logs etc. the first thing they told me was we don't work on fireplaces. I explained that it was the coupling that was the wrong size. They agreed to come look at it and the plumber they sent was wonderful. Got it fixed it and checked to see if it was working properly. So even though it warmed up Christmas Day we didn't need a fire but we used it anyway. We have been using Lister plumbing for 20 years and they have always taken care of the problem. Thank you Lister.
I set up an appointment and Ronnie came out to take a look at my issue. Unfortunately, we have pure hot water coming out of the backyard spigot. It must be hooked right up to the hot water heater because it is dangerously hot in a few moments.
Ronnie saw that this repair would need to take place in the laundry room, right behind the front load washing machine. He said he would need to reschedule a time when 2 technicians could come out.
I received a call 30 minutes before the appointment time and the technicians arrived right on time. The washing machine is installed on top of some cinder blocks so it has to be carefully lifted down to get at the work area. David and Lawrence came out at the new appointment time and got right to work. David carefully cut an opening into the drywall and set to work at crossing the pipes how they should have been set up when the house was built. He even let me snap a few quick pics so I would know the size of the drywall repair.
After the repair was completed, they both carefully reset the washing machine back where it was and hooked everything back as it was.
I would highly recommend Lister Plumbing to anyone that requires plumbing services!
Installed disposal and found them to be prompt, professional and appropriately priced.
My condo was flooded over 4 months ago when Lister plumber reportedly broke a valve in the condo above me. They admitted that it was their fault but their insurance has not paid for any damages. The damage was extensive. Be careful.
Never returned my call. No water for over a week and a half after the freeze. You have thought they would have atleast called to tell us they could not assist
Best in town. Don't call anybody else or you'll regret.
They've come to my place twice for 2 different leaks. Mr. Rooter and Island Mann came before they arrived and had NO CLUE!

Prompt excellent service at reasonable prices. Lister have replaced two lines in my 80 year old house. Both jobs were performed within the estimated cost and the time estimate. I recommend Lister!

Steven with Lister did a fantastic job repairing the shower to be able to get hot water. We had another local plumber look at it but they couldn't repair it but Steven with Lister did in less than an hour. We highly recommend Lister Plumbing .
Needed tankless water heater repair. Lister came, assessed problem and made recommendation for new unit. Installed unit correctly with come modifications from original placement/installation compared to last plumbing company that made repairs previously. Fair price, nice guys and prompt and courteous service. They are on my list for next time...
I would trust no one else besides Lister Plumbing in the event of a plumbing issue. They are very quick to come out and are honest and fairly priced. Trust is very important in a company and they really care about their customers. Cannot more highly recommend!

I called Lister to replace a hot water heater for my dad's house. Initially, Lister stated that there would be an approximately two week wait. I then received another call from them stating that they would not be able to help me at all, and I should find another plumber. Don't waste your time with this company.

Great experience! I called Lister to schedule an appointment and David arrived in about 30 minutes. He worked to clear my drain problem. He was patient and knowledgeable. I appreciated his hard work!

The plumber from Lister, George, who came to handle my plumbing did a great job. He was fairly quick in getting the work done and when he went from doing one thing to another he cleaned up.
When he was installing the kitchen sink fixture he asked me to hold the faucet in place while he secured it from below. I've tried installing a kitchen faucet before and every time I positioned the faucet and then tried to go under the sink to tighten up the nuts to secure the thing in place the faucet would move. It drove me nuts. So I feel confident that the faucet is exactly where it needs to be.
Also, George was polite and told me what he was going to do before he did anything. There was a time or two when there was more than one way to get something done and he asked me how I wanted him to proceed. I would definitely have George back for my next plumbing job.
Good experience, would recommend the service. They kept their appointment, with knowledgeable advice for the problem.

Worst Experience of my life, after a month of bad experiences with this company, I had success with another local Plumbing Company. The first time the plumber came out, he opened the City side and said it was there problem and call them, they came and it was my issue so 6 hours later pleading with the plumber to do something and $400 out of my pocket I could flush my toilet without it coming into my house, a few weeks later I had the same problem and after 8 or 9 hours and realizing a sink hole was in my yard I had minimal usage of my bathrooms. Finally the real problem was found, they patched a small part of the problem and the Owner suggested I find someone else, The Owner wanted to cut his losses. This company does not want to provide services but wants your money.

Two of my sinks had leaks and several of my drain plugs were broken. I called up Lister and they sent Ronnie to my house that very day. He efficiently fixed everything. One of the drain plugs was rusted but salvable. Ronnie could have simply replaced it (and charged me for parts and the extra time needed for labor) but he chose to fix what I had and save me some money.
I have nothing but good things to say about Lister Plumbing. First, they give me very good advice about a plumbing issue at no cost, helping me to order parts on my own even though I had not hired them. After being unable to fix the problem myself, I called them back and Chris came out and took care of the issue very efficiently and with minimal expense. I recommend them highly.
Had several plumbing issues needing attention at my house. Called these guys and they came out to give an estimate and timeframe. Got the job scheduled and they came out and did all the work on time and on budget. A couple weeks later I noticed one small problem. They came out the next day and corrected it without hesitation. Everything works great and the plumbing in my house is better than ever. I would use Lister again.
I've remodeled many homes and worked with a host of plumbers, some good and some not-so. After a couple of bad experiences here in Galveston, I happened to see a Lister truck stopped next to me at an intersection a couple years ago and called them for a simple job. Since then, Ronnie at Lister Plumbing has taken care of two bath and one kitchen remodel. Calls are answered promptly, service is scheduled conveniently and the work is done efficiently and with total perfection. Prices are perhaps a tad higher than other local plumbers but well worth it.
