After earning his journeyman's license Erick worked for other Austin area plumbing companies before earning his Master's plumbing license and starting his own plumbing business which became Lakeway Plumbing Company. Erick is licensed with the state of Texas as a Responsible Master Plumber and is dedicated to improving the trade. With the help his wife Amie they strive to provide quality customer service and growing their plumbing business. Erick manages most day to day operations and Amie assists part time with billing and marketing.

Had Carlos come out and pull old toilet (leaking)and reset new toilet. He arrived promptly at 8:30am. Lakeway plumbing was the only company who could get us scheduled immediately, which was needed since we had company coming into town! Fast and reliable. Will definitely use them again!
Completely ghosted us for work after committing to help us with project. Do not put any trust in them, way too many other credible and trustworthy alternatives.
I had a water heater burst that flooded the entire garage and part of downstairs. We had 13 Airbnb guests without hot water. I called at about 430. Eric said he could have somebody there in two hours. We communicated back-and-forth via text. I sent him all the photos of the tank and area that he requested. It started to get late and he never showed. He stopped responding to my calls and texts. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable. I thought maybe he'd reach out in the morning but he didn't. I would've found another plumber if he had just said he couldn't take care of it.
Now, on Wednesday after reading my review Eric has finally responded to me and is threatening to report me to his friends
Calling Lakeway Plumbing for a clogged sewer line and agreeing upon the hourly rate, plumber arrived on time. After an hour, he stated his machine (Snake) was only 3/8 and not big enough to clear the line. Asked him how long he will be gone to get a bigger machine, was advised his bigger one was broken & suggested another company to call before handing me a bill for the full hourly rate. Asking why I had to pay this full bill just because his bigger machine is broke & he did not have correct machine to complete the job that was requested, stated he still charges for his labor.
had another local company arrive this morning & complete the job in 1.5 hours.
Recently had issues with water pressure inside my home. Called Lakeway Plumbing and made an appointment. Very prompt response and service!
LP was able to give me an exact quote over the phone. Awesome! LP replaced a water pressure relief valve, 3/4, and included excavation up to 18 deep. They charge $120/hr; very competitive pricing.
No hidden fees. Total was $475, fixed within two days of initial call, 90 labor warranty, and one year parts.

I have had some challenges with various plumbers, but I absolutely love Lakeway Plumbing. Owner Eric is always on top of scheduling and gets back quickly to schedule. Explains things well. They show up on time. They are professional. Two weeks ago Matt did an incredibly professional job replacing my rusted out valves to my washer. Today, Carlos, installed a new kitchen faucet. He avoided me having to deal with a counter person, took initiative himself, and did a superb job. I have previously been through about 5 plumbers who didn't call back, or didn't show up, or broke things and walked off without even telling me, or told me I needed to replace stuff it turned out I didn't need to do. All I can say, is Lakeway Plumbing is the only plumbing company I will continue to use. Thanks so much for being honest, qualified, efficient, and reasonable.
We got several quotes on the replacement of our two electric hot water heaters. Their quote was very fair to replace both units and bring them up to code. The service was professional and prompt. I highly recommend going local with Lakeway Plumbing.

The crew were courteous, on time, and quick to isolate the repair to replace the house PRV unit. Additionally the repair cost was fair considering the work required for resolution. Look no further for sure. Happy camper!
We had Devon and Carlos out to fix the hot water valve on our bath tub. Casa Mechanical attempted to fix the problem, but failed to solve the problem, which the work was originally done by them. Devon and Carlos were very professional and fixed the valve. Give these two hard workers a raise.
Came out twice. to examine water leak in garage wall charged over $300 and did not solve problem.
They have been called numerous times and owner will not return text or voicemail.
We are having to call another plumber because of their ineptitude.

I have used them on several occasions, with the largest being re running the plumbing for a shop. They did a great job, and got everything up in running an timly manner. When ever I have needed anything, or had an emergency, they have been prompt to respond. I highly recomend them.

We were having issues with our toilet leaking and not flushing. I called Eric and he had one of his plumbers over here the same day and we live out in Lago Vista so it's an hour drive for them.
Anyway, very happy with the service and the plumber he sent was very courteous and professional. Had our toilet fixed in no time. Very knowledgeable, knew what he was doing and did it in a timely fashion.
He even cleaned up everything and left the bathroom looking better than when he found it.
Wouldn't use anyone else. Highly recommend them!

My water heater went out and being new to Austin had no idea what plumbing company to call. My next door neighbor works for a National plumbing parts supply company so I asked him for a recommendation. He suggested Lakeway Plumbing.
They were awesome. Eric answered the phone and scheduled the installation for the next day at noon. Jose and Hector were 15 minutes early and did a great job. The cost was reasonable and fair... Jose explained the upgrades that weren't on the old heater to bring it up to today's code requirements. I highly recommend and will use again in the future.

Devon and Freddy arrived 20 minutes after I called with a happy smiley can do attitude and got right on it. Erick always responds so quickly to my calls-big property with frequent plumbing needs-and has always gone above and beyond to get to me ASAP. Lakeway Plumbing is my hero!
Lakeway Plumbing was fantastic to work with! I shopped around looking to replace my 50 gallon natural gas water heater. I had an old Rheem Powervent which had finally rusted and was leaking. I shopped around looking for quotes from a variety of sources including my home warranty company, Home Depot/ARS, and Reliant plumbing, and of course Lakeway Plumbing.
Erick, the owner at Lakeway Plumbing, was excellent to work with and very friendly. He was able to communicate with me via Yelp, text, phone and email to schedule an estimate.
After receiving extremely high estimates from the aforementioned businesses, he came in $2000 under the previous cheapest estimate.
Other companies were telling me I would have to replace a bunch of stuff to bring my water heater up to code and one company told me I had to either do roofing work and replace a bunch of piping in the walls or else go with an extremely expensive tankless water heater which it would be mounted on the outside of the house. Seemed a little bit far-fetched to me. Anyways, Lakeway Plumbing was able to do the job quickly in one day and now we no longer need to boil water to take a bath/shower!
Excellent customer service and the owner made you feel important and understood the necessity of getting the water heater replaced immediately.
I had my PRV go bad. Based on my research online I knew it was going to cost around $400 to replace it. I first called Daniel plumbing. They came by and gave me a quote for $2100. I called radiant plumbing. They came by and gave me a quote for $1000. I was shocked. I then called lake way plumbing. Eric immediately picked up the phone and gave a quote right on the phone. The next day Freddie and Carlos came by, in about an hour the work was done. They also fixed some leaks and a toilet that was leaking for free as a courtesy. I can't say enough about lake way plumbing. Thank you so much for being honest and putting the customer first. Everything about Lakeway plumbing was world class!

Eric was quick to respond and got a crew to our house ASAP when we had a busted water heater flooding our garage. Jose and Ruben did a great job with the replacement and explained it all to me. I highly recommend these guys. We will be using them for all our plumbing needs.

Their service was exceptional and appropriately priced. Their staff are technically well versed.
They took the time to explain to us what was needed and helped us plan for next stora, while fixing the emergency situation, too.

I wish I would have called Lakeway Plumbing first. Eric, was my plumbing advocate and did everything in his power to get my water back on. Zack and Ruben on site were knowledgable, friendly and hard working--really hardworking! My original estimate from another plumber (That I think is a crook) was over $8000, Lakeway Plumbing fixed the problem in one day for less than $325!

Just got a new water heater installed from Lakeway Plumbing. Really impressed with the professionalism and overall experience. Carlos and Devon installed are unit. It was hot and they had to walk up a ton of steps and until a large unit in a tiny attic space. They were extremely kind and just came off overwhelmingly positive. I was really impressed with both of them specifically. This was by far the best plumbing experience we've had since moving to Austin 9 years ago. It's been one headache after another but these guys changed my perception. I will absolutely use them again.
On-time, thorough, professional blah, blah, blah these guys are really quite good and their services are reasonably priced. Our particular job involved moving a water line to accommodate a fire/water feature, which, as may be obvious, but involves moving gas lines too. Indeed, the inspector commented how clean their overall work looked. Absolutely low stress company to deal with. We will hire them again.
We had a burst pipe flooding our living room after the Austin winter apocalypse of 2021. After turning off the main, I called several plumbers and was told a minimum wait of 2 weeks. Lakeway Plumbing was able to get here in just a few days, as soon as the roads cleared. Jose and Carlos showed up an hour early, found and replaced the bad pipe, then checked the entire house to be sure there weren't other hidden leaks. They were courteous, friendly, and best of all got the job done quickly and at a reasonable price. I'd highly recommend Lakeway Plumbing!
Can't say enough about my experience with lakeway plumbing and Matthew who was the plumber who came out. He came with the part we needed for our hot water heater and was in and out in 30 minutes. So many times when a plumbing company leaves my house I feel taken advantage of. Not this time I felt very good about the entire experience and to have them be a local company was added benefit. Had two toilets replaced, and updated the bathroom fixtures to a new brand.
Living in an older home in Lakeway you never know what you're going to find when you touch a pipe or an outlet. I call a plumber. He did a phenomenal job; he finished very quickly. I asked him to go ahead and change out some fixtures in one of the bathrooms. He had to replace the brass manifold in the wall. He worked quickly and efficiently, with a practice that I'm sure has taken many years to develop.
Everything looks great, all is working without any issue. An honest, efficient, hard working plumber I would highly recommend him.

I have needed these guys on several occasions for my 85-year-old house in Travis Heights. I can't say enough good things about them. I was a little hesitant about calling them first because they are based in Lakeway and I'm in Travis Heights but that has never been an issue.
You may have to leave a message with Eric when you first call, but he is good about getting back to you quickly.

I contacted Lakeway Plumbing to replace my washer/dryer closet faucet valves which had become frozen due to corrosion. The following morning, Matthew and Justin arrived at my condo on time. They got started right away and wrapped up the job within about 30 minutes. The amount charged was very reasonable.
I really appreciate the professionalism demonstrated by Matthew and Justin. I will contact Lakeway Plumbing for my future plumbing issues and I will happily recommend them to others.
I had the water sensor alarm go off and reached out to Lakeway Plumbing based on reviews and response time. Erik reached out right away and upon arrival, took complete ownership of the problem and resolution (called the manufacturer, arranged for a replacement, etc.). As a single mom, this is invaluable!

Jose and Hector were excellent and efficient, replaced what needed and was worn in the faucet, and saved me hundreds of dollars compared to other companies who wanted to change the whole whirlpool faucets.
They are 5 stars for sure!! They have done two separate jobs for us and both went seamlessly. Would recommend them every time!

LP got off to a good start & provided a professional, timely response to my request for an estimate. They followed through with a thorough, detailed assessment of my plumbing issue and multiple repair options with clear explanations of pros & cons for each option. This was supplemented with detailed, written estimates for the options - delivered via email. After selecting this service provider, their work was scheduled, completed, & cleaned up efficiently and to my satisfaction. Invoicing was clear, detailed, & payment process was simple with no surprises. I was very pleased with the quality of work, the professionalism of the staff, and the results of the repairs. I've used Lakeway Plumbing in the past with good results. Today was no different. Jim came out to check my garbage disposal, was friendly and polite. He provided the pricing up front for repairing the disposal and for replacing the disposal, and asked which way I wanted to go. He said the garbage disposal didn't look that old. He repaired it (it was just jammed) and told me how I could clear the jam if it happened again.
I only provided 4 stars because I was told they would come between 1 and 3 pm. To his credit, Jim did call about 3:10 to say his ETA was about 40 minutes. It would be nice if they told you during the estimated time frame that they are running behind. But, I work from home, so it was not a huge issue for me today.
Otherwise, always great service. I have never felt like they tried to charge me for products or services I didn't need. Always friend and always fair. Will call them again.
Jose and Hector from Lakeway Plumbing were great. They arrived early, wore masks, were neat and efficient. In solving our problem. We will definitely use them again.
Came early, worked quickly and charged far less than I thought the cost would be ! Hot water valve would not work so no dishwasher or sink. Not good for my marriage. Eric's fellow Cody was two hours EARLY and promptly fixed the problem. I figure the charge was about half of what others might cost. This company is now going to be my plumbing outfit.
We are leaking! Those are the words homeowners never want to hear. Sure enough, water was dripping down a light fixture in our house. We've a crazy amount of rain lately but this fixture looked to be just above the kids bathroom upstairs. We were lost. We asked a friend if they knew a plumber and they recommended Lakeway Plumbing. The rest is history. They answered immediately, asked the right questions over the phone, scheduled the appointment (once we determined it was an emergency), showed up on time, and fixed our issue. We are so pleased with the high level of service Lakeway Plumbing provided. They were super nice and responsive and knowledgeable. What else could you ask for? We'll be calling and referring these guys without question.

I can only give this company one star because after a week of asking for a quotation for work to be done, and being promised i would have the prices the next day, I gave up.
This company has great reviews, and probably does a great job if and when they have the time. If you need to have something done within a certain period of time , i would look elsewhere.

I got off to a great start with Lakeway plumbing. Put in a request through the Yelp app and Erick got back to me very quickly. He was able to come out the next day to look at my project. The job was to remove an old undermount kitchen sink and disposal and install new ones. It seemed fairly straightforward and he scheduled me for the following week on 9/9, six days away. Great! Day of our appointment, the crew arrived and immediately seemed riled. Asked if I had told Erick that it was an undermount, and I said that he had personally inspected it. Many phone calls ensued. Finally they began work, removing the faucet and the disposal. Many more calls. Seems the sink was attached with a super epoxy which they said they didn't have the tools to do. I need a counter installer to deal with it. So the crew left, telling me that Erick would be back to me about when the counter guy would arrive. We waited around for the counter guy for two days, who was supposed to let us know when he was coming. He showed up at 6:15 on day two as we were leaving, and we arranged for him to come the following day. He was a no show. To make a long story short, I never again had a proactive contact from Lakeway Plumbing, nor did I see another person. I sent seven texts to Erick asking for a status, until finally on 9/12, he finally ghosted me completely. We immediately contacted another plumber who was awesome and had the entire job done beautifully in two days. Bottom line is that we were without a kitchen sink for 10 days. It was the most unprofessional and inconsiderate service experience I've had in a long time.

Caitlyn &Jose called before coming, arrived on time and worked hard for a solid hour and a half.
They corrected all the problems I asked them to, found and corrected some I didn't know about, and cleaned up after themselves perfectly.
This was all at a very reasonable price.
Very professional service and I am grateful.
I called Lakeway Plumbing with an emergency and they were extremely helpful. I own a small business and was impressed with their service and responsiveness. We will definitely use their services again in the future.

I had a small leak on an outside faucet and Mathew and Jose came by earlier than scheduled and did a great job. They texted me 20 minutes before they arrived as well. They had to go back for a part and even texted me when they were ready to turn off the water while I worked in the house. Very professional and I liked how they wrapped the pipes too! I will use them again.
I called them to make an appointment and was told someone would come out between 11am-1pm the following day and that I'd receive a call shortly beforehand. I took the day away from work for this purpose. By 1pm I had heard nothing. I started calling them back and my call was simply sent through to Eric's voicemail. Eric finally got back in touch and was apologetic; seems like a good guy, but I won't get the chance to experience his service one way or the other.
Really happy i found Lakeway Plumbing. Was able get someone fairly quickly for a job at my new house. Tim came on time and was very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

This is my second review for Lakeway Plumbing (and I generally write very few reviews on Yelp). Just want to reiterate that they are really good and a pleasure to deal with. We had a leak under our kitchen sink on Sunday evening which I was having to mop up every couple hours to prevent the floor from getting damaged. I contacted Erick first thing on Monday morning. He re-arranged his schedule and freed up his plumber to come to our house right away and take care of the problem, all for a very reasonable charge. Very highly recommended.

Called Eric based on a recommendation from others in the neighborhood.
He scheduled me for the next day between 2:-00 and 4:00.
His guys arrived early, and ended up replacing the pressure valve located outside the house.
Kelvin and Jose were very polite and professional. They were very patient with answering all my questions and had the valve replaced in less than an hour.
Fixed our problem with the water pressure and we are very happy with the service/price

I have an old house (45+ years old), so when I opened my water bill and saw how much more water was used than usual, I knew I was in trouble. I called the water company, and they confirmed that the leak was on my side of the shut-off valve. I called Lakeway Plumbing, and set up an appointment for the next day. José and Hector were right on time, and to make the story short, found that one of the toilets was running, though so slowly that I hadn't noticed or heard it. In just a few minutes, José had the innards replaced. I share a shut-off valve from the street with my neighbor, so while José was working, Hector and I were discussing what to do about the outside shut-off valve. All in all, about a 45-minute job; I was very relieved that it was not a more labor-intensive job (and I'm sure José and Hector were, too!). I'm extremely pleased with the job they did; if I could give six or seven stars, I would. I highly recommend Lakeway Plumbing and will definitely use them again for any future problems. David S.

I've been meaning to post this review for awhile. I'm an owner of a bar/restaurant in South Austin. Our plumbing is a bit on the older side, to say the least. Anytime we have a plumbing emergency (which always seems to be Friday's and Saturdays) these gentlemen get to us quick. When they say what time they'll be there, that's when they'll be there (usually earlier) Long story short, these are our go to guys. They've done really big jobs for us and they'll also come out for small ones. They've definitely saved us. Thanks Lakeway Plumbing.
These guys were on time, polite and professional. They got both of our sinks hooked up with no issues and let me know that the faucets I bought had lifetime warrantees, which I didn't know. I wouldn't have called and registered them if they hadn't told me.
I have used Lakeway Plumbing twice in the last year. Both times they were very responsive, fixed my problem quick, and priced very fair.

We were putting on new shingles and needed to move plumbing roof vents at the same time. At the last minute we found Erik and he agreed to come out and help us. He was fast, efficient, and his workmanship was excellent. I can't say enough for he had a desperate new client and could have charged pretty much anything he wanted. Yet his bill was so reasonable I came away feeling guilty. Can you imagine: Feeling like you underpaid the plumber? Thank you Erik!
One of our toilets started leaking and we called Lakeway Plumbing. They had a cancellation and were at our house within an hour. They presented us with options and let us decide what we wanted to do- no pressure from them whatsoever. I even changed my mind halfway through and decided to totally replace the toilet entirely instead of fixing our old one. No problem. They made a few calls and two hours later, the new one was installed and they were done. It's been a few weeks and we've had no issues with the toilet whatsoever. I appreciated their promptness, courtesy, flexibility, and fair pricing. I would use them again.

I recently had the PRV replaced at the house. The price that Lakeway Plumbing charged was quite reasonable since the valve was already dug out and exposed. They were efficient and explained the different options. I was pleased with the work.
Technician called 45 minutes ahead as I had asked and arrived on time. Had all the parts needed to replace water heater thermostats, so no delay or return trip. Fast and good quality work at a reasonable price.
Seeing all these great reviews makes me wonder, because I've used Eric on two occasions with very different results. Once at my in-law's house that we are preparing to sell -- the toilet continues to periodically run, and he has not followed up. Then, as my bath was being refurbished, my contractor happened to be using him. In that case, the shower control was loose and he said he would come fix it but didn't. Didn't even call to tell me that he wasn't coming. Then the tub drain wouldn't close completely, and wouldn't come back out to repair his work, because he said it was the drains fault, not his work! Turned out he didn't know how to adjust it; the contractor fixed it instead. Total flake. Steer clear.

Fantastic service I received from Eric. He showed up promptly and was very thorough and friendly. Explained things in a way that I could understand, and did not treat me like many service people treat women. He thoroughly diagnosed the on-going problem, and a simple fix, offered to get the part for me or said I could go to Home Depot and buy one myself. He then happily looked at several different things that I added on last minute (ie: replacement toilet estimates--half of what I'd been quoted in the past--and tub handles in which immediately started a search for missing parts) Highly recommend.
Eric is very reliable, friendly and got the job done on time. He provided a fair quote and brought all the pieces needed.
