The plumbing system in my home began to have some problems draining. The downstairs guest bathroom was first to show signs that I had a main drain line that was not draining into the city system.
I called my home warranty company on Tuesday, and they dispatched a company out on Thursday to diagnose and fix the problem. The tech showed up and used a snake to clear the drain line. He was unsuccessful and notified the warranty company that there was a problem downstream that was not covered. He issued me an estimate and let me know that his dispatch would need to schedule the work and it would probably the following week.
Being that the estimate was a significant amount of money, I called another plumbing company to get a second estimate.
The second tech showed up and attempted to snake the line as well. He was also unsuccessful. He issued a quote, and let me know that he would need to call to get permission to dig and that they could likely get it done by late next week.
This brings me to company number three.
I was discussing some totally unrelated items with a friend, and I told him about my home's plumbing problems. He tells me that I should call Ingram Plumbing and sends me the contact info.
I call Mr Ingram at about 6pm and leave a voicemail. He calls me back, I explain everything and ask him for an estimate. He tells me that he can be out in the morning.
He shows up on time the next day, goes over a few things with me and tells me that before we get in to estimates and quotes, I should call the city and have them verify that it's not a problem downstream of my home.
I didn't know this was an option, but since I live in Plano, I figured I would give it a shot.
The city dispatched a team in less than 90 minutes. The team leader was a gentleman named Wendell. He was experienced and knowledgeable, and he fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes.
My takeaway from all of this is that Mr Ingram is an honest man that I will recommend to everybody to in the future.
I write this confidently because I was literally holding quotes that ranged from $3500 to $6000. I let him know this, and Mr. Ingram still found a way to get it handled for $0.
Mr Ingram, I can't thank you enough. Thank you Sir!
