After Winter Storm Uri, we discovered five different kinds of pipes in our house. All five had bursts in them. Because of the extent of repairs needed, we decided to just go ahead and repipe the whole darn house and from start to finish and HaLo was phenomenal.

As most of TX knows it's been hard to get a hold of any plumber, but Karen and their crew were remarkably responsive and got back to me when they said they would every time. We did have to wait a little to get on the schedule but it was for a reason I appreciated: while supplies were limited they were trying to help the most people instead of sinking all of their materials into one job.

They helped me avoid cutting into wood paneling and built in bookcases that would have been a nightmare to repair by moving a hose bib. And when the job was over Nayar was very patient with me when I asked him to give me an overview of where all the lines were located in case I had to trouble shoot anything. Also, the employees who only spoke Spanish were so kind in dealing with my poorly mangled Spanish - So. Kind.

It's been about a week since my job was done now, and all the lines are fully functional with no issues!

We had a water leak in a small commercial building affecting three units. A call brought Halo Plumbing in less than 15 minutes and determined that the main water line was leaking and an excavation would be necessary  to determine the location. Oral quote of +-$1000., could start immediately. A follow-up quote, minutes later, after beginning the job, was $1000. to $3000...... job already started. Four hours later, with two laborers brought in to dig under the foundation, the leak was found,..... a broken galvanized sink pipe, They capped the line and restored partial service and in the AM returned to replaced two (2)   4 foot galvanized pipes (gaining access inside the building)

Excellent  service. Neat, efficient, good communication!

I called yesterday when about a gallon of water came raining down from my kitchen ceiling. Halo couldn't make it out until today, but didn't tell me they couldn't diagnose the problem unless the leak was actively leaking. They came out today, cut a hole in the ceiling and told me they can't find anything wrong despite sheet rock being soaked and showing photos of the active leak. They charged $115 for diagnostics and left with no plan on how to fix the problem other than paying another fee and hoping they might be able to show up in time to catch it next time my kitchen rains. Both the tech and the office were extremely rude when I asked about next steps and just told me we'll work with you and that I was lucky they weren't charging $250, but wouldn't give a cost nor plan on how to move forward to fix the problem.

Edit: I was quoted $115 for the diagnostics over the phone, so I got no such deal other than the quoted price doubling once they didn't have a repair they could bill me more for. I think I'll be calling someone else when my leak returns, though I doubt seriously it has gone away on summer holiday or magically fixed itself. If that's how water works now, I'll marvel in awe at Halo's miraculous competence every time I gaze at my new skylights.

Unreliable did not keep appointment for emergency leak. Waited all day without water and canceled in the late afternoon when I couldn't book anywhere else. When I complained the scheduler Karen lied saying I had denied an earlier appt ( I hadn't) and she became incredulous and started yelling. Super unprofessional and rude.

Have this company installed a brand new toilet at my coin laundry business in Houston Texas. But I live in California. I go to check on my business every month.
So after they have installed a brand new toilet 3 weeks later. I noticed the toilet was not stable when my routine to check on my business...So I call the company and they sent a technician out and tight down the toilet and they said because the screw was lose....So All these times when it happened I'm not here in  Houston Texas ( i means the installation and the time they came back to tight down the toilet)....

So when my routine time to go check on my business again I noticed the toilet still not stable. It still moves when I sit on it. So I call halo plumbing again. And I can't believe the owner said that if we send out a technician this time we have to charge you. Because I thinks it's not our's fault. It might have someone over weight using it after couple weeks. That was the reason the owner said. I mean can you believe this??? How can a toilet not stable if someone do a good job on it?

The second times whoever they have sent that technician out. This technician didn't even do the caulking and put back the plastic cap where the screw is after he finishes. I try to tell the owner all these but the owner chose to believe their's staff. And saying something to avoid their's responsibility....So how can you trust a company like this the way they running the business?

I just spent $ 670 dollars on the toilet about 2 months ago now I have to look for another plumbing company to fix the toilet. So what is the point to have this halo plumbing to do the job??

I know the owner name Loren will try to leave some comments after she saw this. But whatever she said...it's not true
She needs to pay close attention more on the technician whoever she have sent out that day. That is what I thinks she should done.

Reached out over and over to try to get service at a commercial property. Was repeatedly told you probably need a sprinkler company but I wanted a plumber. Then it was it will take us a long time to get the parts (because of the great Texas freeze of 2021 that broke it in the first place). I kept saying if you don't want the job please just say so. After over a month I called another plumber and they were able to look at it the next week and repair it the following week, and texted me before and after photos. I picked HaLo initially because of the great Yelp Reviews but they clearly didn't want my business.

Update: I absolutely love this company! The contractor couldn't get the shower to work so Jair came out today looked at it and knew right away what the problem was.

We are having our master bathroom redone and the current contractor wasn't sure how to install this specific faucet SO I called Halo Services and they came the next day to look at it, said no problem and did it the next week! So happy with them and will definitely recommend this company people I know. Jaír and Nayar worked extremely fast and cleaned up after themselves also . 10 out of 10.

We needed to reconnect our gas cooktop.. we called them in the morning and they arrived shortly after.   The technician was really professional, solved our problem in minutes and took care of the other plumbing problem we had from the previous plumber.  The price was reasonable with no hidden fees or up sales.
I definitely recommend and will use this company in the future!

Our upstairs drain for the AC and bath had clogged and we had water that had ruined the bathroom and entryway and front door. Loren came out very quickly and assessed exactly what had happened and gave me some options and estimates on the work to be done.
He was very professional and even unclogged the pipe so it would stop having additional leaking and damage.
I'd had another company come out and they did not do anything to even temporarily fix the problem.
I will update this review once the work is done. Great company and great response!

I had everything lined up the whole week with them. They backed out last minute. Work never got doneZ

I had a leak in my vent that was leaking sewage gas into my house and I was referred to him by a home inspector I've worked with in the past.  It took Loren 3 weeks (and me having to pester him) to even get out here to look at my problem.  they came, diagnosed the problem and told me they could do the work the following week AND that Loren would be sending me an estimate for the work.  Winter Storm hit the following week so he was unable to do the work because there were more urgent priorities.  I called the office and was told they could not commit to doing the work for me for the foreseeable future.  I waited 3 more weeks to see if could get something on the schedule open and today when I reached back out, I find out he is on vacation.  I sent Loren a note letting him know I was disappointed in the poor service and asked him for a refund on the money I paid for the initial visit, and he responded by insulting me and telling me to get over.  FULL RESPONSE IS INCLUDED AT BOTTOM OF REVIEW.

My favorite part is when he told me I was that guy that was 'All ways' picked last cause no one liked me, and now I'm that guy who feels like I can speak my mind behind a text.   That was the plumber's actual response to me expressing disappointment with his poor service and asking for a refund.  Zero accountability - just insulting and blaming me.  Cool.

Clearly, multitasking and customer service is not his strong suit but to talk to me like this and then block me so I cannot respond says a whole lot about him.  He might be a good plumber (I wouldn't know) but he dropped the ball big time. Had he not blown me off for three weeks, the repairs would have been completed before the storm came.  Then when I follow up with him, he insults me and blames me.  Too many other plumbers out there to waste anymore time on this turd.

FULL RESPONSE I RECEIVED FROM PLUMBER:
Sir you are being very petty now. I really feel for who ever has to live with you!!!! Did we not come out and do the job you hired us to do??  You asked us to come out and do a service call to find the sewer smell in your home!!! My techs came out found the issue in 10 min, that you spent 20k on with another company to fix this issue.   We only charged you $65 bucks to diagnose what you spent 20k on.  I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but if I were you, I'd be pissed as well.   Sounds like you should of hired us from the beginning instead of those other guys.  Now you want $65 service call back cause your made we won't do the work???? We gave you a price that day and told you we could start that day.  You said you wanted your original inspector back out, ok your choice.   Now we have been booked up solid due to the storm, and your being a child, grow up and move on.  Your that guy who was all ways picked last, cause no one liked you and now you feel like you can speak your mind behind a txt.  I'd be mad too if my dumb ass spent 20K on work just to find out it was all wrong. But before I spent 20k like you said you did, I'd go and get two or three opinions, but that's just me.....

My 70-year old house's sewer drainage system finally failed me, and I had a kitchen sink soup that my usual routine of snaking and plunging could not rectify. I called out our long-time go-to (I won't name names, but suffice to say they are just Another Residential-service Swindler). After a cursory inspection, they decided that my entire drainage system needed to be replaced, necessitating tunneling under my foundation and a $10K pay-out.

I got a second opinion.

I called Halo based on their good word-of-mouth reputation. Loren got eyeballs on my problem and realized he could take advantage of new plumbing/drainage that I had in place after a renovation about 15 years ago. His estimate was a tiny fraction of what the other company quoted (I could buy a used Toyota Corolla with the difference)

Short story: expert, thoughtful, conscientious, and fair assessment was far superior to the outrageous money-grab that the big guys offered me.

It was more than that, though. Halo (Loren, really) was a company that shot straight and made me feel confident that I was in competent hands and that valued building a trusting relationship. No small deal given my old house.

Halo is my plumber, now, and I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

You know that feeling when you wake up from a nightmare and realize you aren't being chased by tracker jackers to your impending demise.... that it was all just a dream and you are safe and life is good.  That's how I feel about HaLo Services....rescuing me from a poor choice I made initially going with another service vendor.

Our neighbor told us about Loren, who I like to think of as a plumbing and heating angel and/or general home improvement savior.   Super professional, incredibly knowledgable and ....wait for it..... the SAME price as the nightmare vendor who royally messed up the job intially.   He has such a professional crew and knocked out the project in record time with amazing results.    We can't recommend HaLo Services enough and are beyond grateful for their amazing work.

When you are contacting someone to come out and deal with your pipes/plumbing it isn't going to be a fun experience. In this case even though it was bad news and we knew it was going to cost us money we didn't expect to pay, Loren was so incredibly professional in his handling of our situation. His entire team was extremely professional and quick to get the work done with complete transparency throughout the process. Double checked all the work and made sure that we had a clear understanding of what we were looking at throughout the various times he came out. Would highly recommend him and his team. Amazing company.

What a lucky find...read other customer's reviews and can only say that Karen and Loren are amazing.  Had a brand new Raheem Water Heater installed in August and contractor (that I now know wasn't licensed to do this type work) would not fix/replace the unit after agreeing he would.

I would highly recommend HaLo Plumbing. We just bought our home and found that our laundry valves were both leaking. They were able to come out and fix it without charging an arm and a leg. Great customer service.

One of the sinks in my master bathroom clogged up so I decided to just use the other master bathroom sink. Then that one too clogged up. I did the next best thing and just used the downstairs sink lol (aint nobody got time o deal with clogs). Then both master bathroom sinks started filling up with water. I disconnected the plastic pipes and put a large bucket to catch the water but the last straw was when I had to set my alarm to wake up every 3 hours to dump the bucket to keep it from overflowing. I called 2 plumbers (neither answered).

I saw the good reviews for HaLo Services so I called around 1pm. I told him my problem and he said he could make it there today! He would let me know when he's about an hour away. I wanted to hit the gym after work and he texted while I was at the gym saying he was an hour away. As soon as I finished working out, he called saying he was here. I made it home about ~7mins later so I appreciate him patiently waiting. I showed him the clogged sinks and he got right to work. It took maybe 10mins for him to fix. Very professional! And he charged $120. $120 for 10min of work? I look at it more as piece of mind and not having to come home at lunch to dump the bucket and being able to sleep fully through the night. 5 stars from me!

They started and finished installing new sewer line complete in 6 days. That included 2 - 16' tunnels under the existing home plus approx 30' home run sew line to reach COH sewer line.

Loren was great. Responded within 30 minutes of message, and talked through over the phone what he expected and when he'd be able to come over. Was able to go back and forth between text to ensure someone would be home to meet him. He diagnosed, explained, and fixed the issue within 45 minutes. The price was higher than I expected given the time to repair and materials, but Loren was professional, friendly, on time and got my problems fixed. I will use HaLo again if needed.

We contacted Loren to install a whole home water filter in our home and to switch to a tankless water heater. Loren came out for an initial assessment and explained to us what all the possible options were. We agreed on the work and his crew came within a week and finished within a days time. We live in a three story townhome and were very impressed with the way they handled the entire installation of both the water filter and tankless water heater. We hit a few snags during the installation and they were very patient while we worked in getting it resolved. The entire team was very thorough, professional, and communicative during the entire process. We highly recommend HaLo Plumbing, thank you Loren and Jair!

I had a bad drain clog.  After trying to tackle this on my own I had to defer to HaLo Services.

Loren, the owner answered my call & asked for a brief description.  Two hours later he was at my home.  Within :45 mins of arrival he had the clog handled.

Halo Plumbing was so accommodating in the replacement of our outdoor tankless water heater that broke during the February arctic freeze.  We went weeks without hot water due to the high demand for heaters. Prior heater we ordered from somewhere else was the wrong heater. Halo had what we needed and set up installation immediately. The techs were very knowledgeable and took great care in setting us up correctly. We bought them a pizza for adding us to their route on a weekend. Hot water again - oh happy day! We really appreciated the help Loren and Karen gave us in getting us squared away. The service was wonderful and I will not hesitate to use them again when needed.

Plumbing problems are usually stressful and expensive to fix. However, for the first time, I had a really pleasant and FAIR priced experience. Loren, who is a master plumber, came out in about 1.5 hours to take care of a clogged kitchen sink. He was awesome when he encountered some unexpected issues and he got the job done! Also, he was really respectful of my house and kept it clean. Even brought his own blanket to not make a mess.

We had a burst pipe due to  the winter storm two weeks ago. Halo Plumbing came out on 2/19/21 to do a  temporary cap on the line. Another burst pipe was discovered on the  other side of my house and that section was replaced at our request so  we could get some hot water. Their guys were at my place for a little  over an hour but we were charged $1235 for just a temporary cap on one  line and fix on the other line. We paid in good faith expecting that  they would come out later to finish the job. Loren (owner) has not  responded to any follow-up texts from me about sending a receipt for  payment nor about when they would come back to complete the job. Very  disappointed with their unprofessional behavior.

Loren helped me out by replacing old drainage pipes inc kitchen, bathroom and washer under my home. I'm giving Loren 4.5 out of 5. I'll recommend him to friends and family.

My work was subcontracted and it went behind schedule due to rain and some labor issues inc broken truck, sickness. Sub contractor didn't show up for last couple of days and Loren got the job completed.

The owner just told me to lose his number and called me a Piece of Sh!t. I am a retired police chief, I am far from a POS.  So this guy had his two lazy brothers put in a water heater for me in March of 2020. By August they had to repair it. But only after they had me call the manufacturer.  He wasn't in a hurry to do anything feeling it was a warranty job.  He finally did the job.  Well now 1 year to the date the part went out again, DON'T buy a RHEEM gas water heater from this guy and don't use him.  Had an issue with the water manifold in the house as well. They came out and fixed that, after I bought the part.  Next time, he said he would check on where his guys were and get back to me, he didn't.  So I called again today for the water heater, (Shouldn't have).  He is on vacation, so he is so small time that he only answers his phone and doesn't call back.  When he did, he told me to lose the number and called me a POS...guess he doesn't want business.

Our mainline leaked and we lost water late Saturday . They checked it out on a Sunday and it was fixed Monday.  The price was excellent and fair, they are extremely professional. The work was above and beyond what we expected.
We are thrilled with the service and I will never call another plumbing company again. Halo has our business!

Person named Loren said he should have his technicians in my area in the afternoon so I asked him are they available to come out after 2pm and he replied late saying that his technicians will be in another city working all day so I texted him back asking then can they come the next day or what day they are available cause I am afraid to use our sink due to the clog and overflowing of debris water in both our kitchen sinks but he hasn't replied back since yesterday afternoon after saying sorry. I even told him it was an emergency. Poor customer  service?

We have used this company twice. On Memorial Day weekend right after COVID hit while waiting on a bigger chain that promised to be out and didn't come  we turned to halo. He was out within the hour and tending to our problem. A real God send!  Thank you Halo!  Won't use anyone else now!

I'm new to plumbing problems, and without really knowing anyone, I was leery of what to expect.
I made several calls to folks Around Spring Branch and Houston and while I got some solid feedback, Loren was uber responsive, forthright and made it clear he'd have to see the issue before he could diagnose. He arrived in a timely fashion, his attention to detail was superb and his professional decorum & knowledge was impressive.

I had a clog in my sewage line out back of the house, so he knocked it out in less than 20 minutes, cleaned up the area and fixed it to where I could replace the cap with no issues.

He also pointed out two other minor issues - one on my neighbor's house, and then one on mine. Didn't try to up sell, just pointed them out and told me to let him know and he'd fix it.

All in all, he fixed the problem, charged me a reasonable price and is an overall good dude. I will use him again - hopefully I don't have to - but you get my drift. And I'd recommend him to anyone.

Throw away all your old plumbers' numbers and keep HaLo in your contacts! These guys do it right. Loren arrived in less than an hour, cleared a tree root in 4 line 30' from house for $185, and was gone in about 45 minutes. Astounding.

Loren is knowledgeable about his work, and has an exceptional amount of ownership to do a good job.

He was able to talk me through my valve issue, and was very flexible to come out and help. Their prices also are very competitive, and I will be sure to call again for my next home needs

I'm extremely pleased with this company. They answered the phone right away and said they could come out the same day for two clogged toilets. The guy that came out explained the problem and offered a solution. We will be getting a new toilet installed by them which will fix the issues we have been repeatedly dealing with.

Called Loren this morning, got the number off of Yelp. My water heater, tankless went out. It needed  to be flushed. Our house is only a year. We also knew we needed a filter for the sediment that was piling up causing these issues. He was at my house within a couple of hours noticed a few problems from our original construction. He went  and got the parts and came back, fixed the water heater and the additional problems. We discussed Putting in the filter, which he will research for us and get back to us. Did a great job, very informative and prompt. Would highly recommend. Also stuck to his estimate.

Reached out to Loren to install a new water heater in our townhome. For context, it's a three-story townhome with the water heaters in a very tight space in the attic. Loren was able to clearly walk me through his thought process for what heater we should install and was quick to respond, transparent and offered fair pricing. Jair and Nayar came out to install the heater and both were friendly and clearly knew what they were doing. Highly recommend!

Contacted them on Wednesday with a leaky water valve line to the toilet that had the feed too close to the baseboard for me to repair. They had it fixed by Friday. Friendly, professional and fair price for quality work.  Definitely plan to use their services again in the future.

Called loren this morning to help fix our water line burst. His response is very fast and showed up to check out the situation in an hour. Since this repair needs to be involved with shut off the whole community water line, he tried his best to help us to communicate with HOA and solved this issue. Eventually everything is fixed with quite fair price. I am very glad to have Loren help us this time. He is a such pleasant and smart person to work with. He takes his ownership to solve challenge problems. I am highly recommend him for plumbing service!

Halo had lots of good reviews and they lived up to their reputation. Found a water leak at our water meter just at the end of the day - Loren was very quick in responding, had excellent knowledge of possible problems and was very good in providing a possible range of costs. The team was as quick and professional as possible. They walked me through the repair and took the time the next day to make sure the fix was working (which it was of course). Overall very happy from start to finish.

Loren came by twice to look at a plumbing issue I had an was ready to work on a difficult issue. The second time he came by he quickly solved my problem and did not charge me for either visit. I appreciated his help and the fact that he not only fixed the issue, but also didn't charge me an arm and a leg for his time. Was quick to return my call and give me an estimate and schedule an appointment. And one added bonus...he cleaned up after himself which I always appreciate. I hate sloppy mechanics.

Had a water leak on exterior pipe at an older home inThe Heights.  Researched plumbers in the area and found Halo here in Yelp.  Contacted them in the afternoon and within an hour they were on site to evaluate and give a free estimate.  Started work that afternoon and finished early the next day.  Excellent communication and updates during the repair process.  Will definitely use again when I have any plumbing repairs.

I had no working toilets on the first floor due to a clogged main sewer drain.  After calling several other plumbers Halo plumbing said they could come out.  Loren arrived 90 minutes later.  He is very professional and knowledgeable.  He explained the problem to my husband and explained how the sewer systems are laid out in Houston. He fix the problem in under an hour.  Then he made sure all the toilets and drains were working. I was very happy with the results and the charge was reasonable.  I will definitely call them again if I need any plumbing services.

We called HaLo around 10 am and They we're here by 11:30. They found the source of a slow draining pipe/disposal quickly and now it works great. Great service and price. We will definitely use them again.

Good service, fair pricing. Was promised an invoice for service, couldn't give me one on premises. Never received, left cell messages and texts no response. Can't give repeat business to bad C/S though.

Highly recommend Loren and his team. They were able to fix a major pipe problem and do it quickly and efficiently. They were reasonably priced and cleaned up the job nicely. We will definitely call them next time we have any sort of plumbing issue.

Halo just completed re-piping and addition of tankless water heater at my house. Everything went very well. Loren (the owner) is personally involved and committed to excellence and very fair. The price was lower than several other quotes. I plan to Halo to complete all other plumbing work at my home (connection of bathtubs, sinks, showers, etc.) as I repair my previously flooded home in west Memorial.

Loren was very helpful, very professional and very efficient! He was able to get to the house very quickly to take care of an emergency issue, the communication was great, and his pricing was very fair as well! I would definitely recommend him to anyone!! So far so good! Loren did a great job today installing my new water heater. His prices are fair and reasonable and he was available to do the work on a Saturday which helped me out considering the time crunch I was in. Would recommend his company based on my experience.

I needed a garbage disposal changed; they sent an installer promptly within a few days. He was a bit delayed but did the job quickly and the result was great at a terrific price. Highly recommend!
