I had a black out at our business and I was really concern because I found out that the building that we are leasing didn't have enough power to run all the equipment we have at the shop.

When I called Green Light, they schedule a time to come by, and for my surprise it was out of operations hours, so they came by and fixed the problem, I didn't have to worry about anything  but to pay the bill which was very reasonable for the quality of work that we received.

I was putting in some outside lights in front of my house and replacing a broken outdoor fixture, and I needed a fusebox reattached to my house.  I had gotten a bid from a landscape company that was $50 more a fixture than Jarrod's, and the other bids I got from two other electricians were comparable to GLE's.  I went with Jarrod due to his good reviews and the fact that he was punctual and responsive to calls/e-mails.  He was the first to respond and first to come out for a bid.  

The day of install his electrician Dan had gotten there before Jarrod and arrived exactly when he said he would.  Jarrod was picking up the materials.   By the time Jarrod arrived Dan had already reattached my fusebox, (which they did for free), and had taken down the old fixture.  Dan did a good job and finished that afternoon and showed me how everything worked.  He cleaned up everything as well.  After he left and the lights came on, one of the lights was not working, even though Dan had tested them all.  

I e-mailed Jarrod that evening but didn't hear back.  I called Jarrod the next day, (today, a Friday), and he said Dan had called in sick, that he was already going to have him come by, but now he couldn't today.  He apologized for not returning the e-mail, that he didn't read it until late Thursday night.  Jarrod said he was way down South still and asked if he could come back on Tuesday after Memorial Day to fix it.  I told him, (nicely), that we had paid for the work and would like to have it wrapped up, could someone come by some time today.  Jarrod dropped what he was doing, came to Round Rock, fixed it, then headed back to the other job after he e-mailed me it was done.  If I have any more electrical work done I will be calling Green Light Electric, I added him to my phone contacts.

We used Green Light to have 2 ceiling fans replaced on an 18 foot ceiling. The first visit got most of the work done, but we didn't have the right adapters for the angle of the ceiling - our fault. We had to reschedule a follow up visit because Jarrod's truck broke down, but eventually got them back out.

Unfortunately, they decided to install the fan remote control receivers (at the canopy 18 feet high) and not to change the ancient wall dimmer switch that controlled them. That switch wasn't safe to use, and destroyed the remote control receivers the first time the switch was turned off. I replaced the switch (for a whole $1), but the damage was done.

A week after I e-mailed Jarrod about this, I texted him -- he replied that he would answer me, but never did. I gave up after another week, and bought new remotes, rented a truck and tall ladder, and replaced the remotes myself. A grand total of $180 extra and a Saturday spent to fix a mistake that shouldn't happen with a professional electrician.

We used them again for a kitchen remodel. Awesome as usual. Fast and professional. Jarrod advised us to go with 6 cans for the kitchen instead of the 4 we originally had planned for and we are so happy we listened to him. The lighting looks amazing and he was totally right. Highly recommend.

Called Green Light after a previous contractor did some outdoor electrical work that I wasn't happy with.
Jarrod came out when he said he would, gave a fair bid, and we scheduled the work for a few days later.
The day of the work, I had a couple of additional changes I wanted. No problem, we came up with a good solution, and he just made it happen.
The work was to add electrical for an outdoor ceiling fan under our pergola, and also to wire in some outdoor lights with switches and additional outlets.
He showed up when he said he would and got the work done in a few hours.
I'm confident the work is done properly, and he charges a fair price.
On time, good work, fair price - exactly what I want in a contractor.

I called Green Light shortly before noon today after reading the on-line reviews. I was looking for someone close to my home & with good ratings. I had already replaced the breakers on the house that feed the spa and the GFI on the subpanel under the deck. I was at a loss and needed professional help. I also had a remote control ceiling fan that I couldn't get to work. Jarrod answered the phone & after explaining my situation he said they would try to come by this afternoon, but at least they could schedule something tomorrow.

He called at 2:34 this afternoon and said he had time to come by. He arrived at 2:55pm. WIthin about 5 minutes he diagnosed the problem regarding the spa & fixed it. He then took a look at the ceiling fan and determined I'd wired a hot to ground and the neutral wires were not connected to anything - I'd given up after becoming frustrated. It was complicated by the fact I had a 3 separate light switches within the same wall switch. He was only here about 20 minutes and fixed both problems.

My experience was very pleasant and the price reasonable to fix both problems. I can now enjoy my spa and not worry about the coming subfreezing weather. While my situation wasn't complicated for an experienced electrician nevertheless he was very responsive and took care of my problem.

I don't know about everyone else's experience, but mine was below par. I had a flood light put in at my house. I met with Jared the owner for a quote which went fine. The day they are supposed to come out at 8am, I got a phone call at 7:55 from Dan asking for my address. How did he not have my address if my appointment was set up two weeks before? Meanwhile, I call Jared and email him and get no response. I told him I had a full day of appointments that I needed to get to and the 8am was agreed upon for that reason. Meanwhile, Dan showed up at 8:50. He finished the job fine, but the customer service is terrible.

I don't appreciate a company that doesn't show up on time. I still have yet to get my phone call or email back.

Jarrod and Daniel are cheerful, reliable, and competent. I've used Green-light on three occasions, and they are the guys who can navigate your permits, your upgrades, and your old house rehabs.  They even service Tesla cars! What's more, they'll return your calls, answer e-mails, and arrive within the appointed window.  If you're stressed after trying to chase down take a number contractors who juggle your job and waffle on show-up times, take a slow breath and call Jarrod for drama-free wiring.

Found Green Light on Yelp and I was very happy. Jarrod came out to install some outdoor outlets we had been wanting for years (to plug in our lawn care equipment, Christmas lights, etc.) He was easy to schedule, on time, fairly priced and very professional. I even received an invoice via email. Would call on him again.

I called 3 highly rated electricians on yelp. Jarrod called immediately, was out the same day, fixed the problem at a fair price, called back the next day to check and make sure everything was ok before either of the other two returned my call.

I called Green Light after reading their great reviews on Yelp. I have to agree. Jarrod happened to be on another job around the corner and was able to get to my house within 15 minutes. He was professional - greeted me at the door with business cards in hand, which I appreciate as I have young kids and don't like to let strangers into my house. He was very nice, courteous and took the time to listen to me talk before starting work, then he took the time to explain it all until I understood it after the job was completed. He charged me his basic service call and didn't even charge for the breaker he installed. Highly recommend!

We had Jarrod with Greenlight come out and bid a complete re-wire on our little east Austin home, which had aluminum wiring on the point of failure (several blown outlets). He had been recommended to us by the folks who put in our ductless split AC system (Green Air Conditioning & Heating - Seamus: another great person and business). Jarrod was right on time with our schedule, and even though he wasn't the cheapest bid, he was the only person who would give us an actual bid, and not just a verbal guesstimate and an hourly rate. He also added a few extras (pendant lights and W/D outlets) for a really good price.

Once we figured out exactly what we wanted to have done (where all the outlets and exterior lights would go) he and his other electricians came by and did everything very quickly and cleanly. We had our breaker box replaced, the lines to the house moved from the eaves to through-the-roof (well above the driveway), new copper wiring throughout, brought everything up to modern code, and added a few new circuits (W/D, dishwasher).

All of this was done with the proper permitting and good humor about it... and I can't tell you how important that was for us . Even when there was a little hiccup with the City  -- they freaked us out by saying that we had to get a building permit because he'd cut a channel in the drywall to replace the wiring -- Jarrod went to the Board of Adjustments and got it all straightened out very quickly  (basically, the person he'd asked was misinformed, and the BOA said we did not need a building permit).

The final electrical inspection went off without a hitch and we passed with flying colors. The inspectors (rough-in and final) complimented his work and said that we wouldn't have any electrical worries with the house with the new setup.

We should mention here that one of us is an electrical engineer, and the other is a City of Austin employee, so our standards for having work done (and done to code) are pretty high. Jarrod not only met those standards... he exceeded them.   Now, we can sleep at night without worrying that we're going to burn to a crisp in our beds. Thanks, Jarrod, for being such a thorough and unflappable electrician!

Scared spitless, found open short in my attic, could see house burning to the ground.  Green Light was the only one that could come out that day, in fact came in 2 hours, made quick repair to wires, I thought price very good (esp in lieu of house not burning), very friendly, could not be more pleased, use them!

I called over 10 electricians looking for someone to look at some wiring after a home inspection last minute.  Jarrod was able to help me since he would be in the area.  He was accommodating with the time and really helped me in a bind.  Jarrod was knowledgable and professional.  It was a free inspection and I was really happy with his work.  I would recommend  Green Light to anyone.

I highly recommend Green Light Electric to anybody in need of electrical services. Jarrod and his team of guys have always been honest, reliable and fast. I have used other electricians over the past few years with my businesses, and now that I've discovered Green Light, I won't go anywhere else. Jarrod is simply the best he was not only on time but called to say he would come earlier than scheduled and stayed later to ensure that everything was working well.  He was helpful in assisting with an installation that was not scheduled as well as he was a pleasure to work with.  When he left I was more than confident that the job had been done well and I would not have to worry about the quality of work.  And although electricians are not cheap he was more than fair with his pricing. I definitely felt that I had gotten great service. I would highly recommend them to everyone and have already re- scheduled him for my next phase of work.

I am not usually one to write a bad review, but we had such a terrible experience with Green Light Electrical that I decided to warn others.  We were remodeling our house and had a number of items we needed rewiring for.  Jarrod kept saying the work was done and then we would find that light switches were not working, the garbage disposal was hooked up to the same switch as our kitchen sink light (so the kitchen light could only come on when the garbage disposal was on), etc.  Then, after the work was done a couple of the switches they worked on stopped working.  We eventually were tired of calling Green Light back and having faulty work done so had an electrician from a different company come to fix it, and they said that the reason the switches stopped working is because Green Light had mixed up wires and also put in some wires  so loose they had fallen out.  It cost us $300 just to have someone fix the work they messed up.  Would not recommend.

I have a sauna at my home that worked well for several years.  Then the timer developed a problem.  Out of warranty, I bought a new one, but it had the same problem.  So I called in Jarred, and he was able to come in a couple of days.  He diagnosed a broken (and wrong type) circuit breaker, and put in a new, appropriate kind.  Problem solved, and I am again enjoying my sauna.  The cost was also very reasonable, just the trip charge and the cost of the circuit breaker.

We had contacted several other electricians for a small job at our house (we wanted some under the counter lights).  They either did not answer our calls or were not interested in a small job.  We called Jarrod and he came out the same day to give us a bid. We decided to go with him because we had seen so many great reviews on Yelp.  Let me add just one more. He came an hour early, got the job done in about 45 minutes and charged what I thought was a fair price.  He was very professional and knowledgeable.  Not only that but he was friendly and helpful with other questions we had.  You can't go wrong by choosing him as your electrician..

I am very happy with Greenlight Electrical.  Jarrod came out and gave an estimate on moving some lights in the bathroom, and adding a motion detector.  When it was all said and done,  his price was under the estimate...how refreshing!  I will use his services again without a doubt.

Mr. Jarrod Huser has worked twice at my house and both times he has performed a terrific job.  Just today he finished an outdoor project that took him several hours.  I am so grateful to have found such a good electrician.  He is also very polite and pleasant.
