Called two plumbers. Both had great phone support. Both came quickly. That's where the similarities ended. Dewolfe came found the leak in a few minutes offered to repair and suggested a repair was the right choice over line replacement. The other guys, ARS,  never looked for the leak, and quoted a 7700.00 buck line replacement. Dewolfe suggested against line replacement, and repaired for 1500. In a couple hours. Well done. Clearly an honest plumber.

Once again we were in need of a hot water heater and DeWolfes comes to the rescue.

The city inspector just came out and to quote him: DeWolfes did an exceptional job.

We have used this company on several issues we have run into and have been given the same praise on all inspections.

This company used to be really good. I had spent hundreds (thousands?) of dollars with them. Not sure what changed, but the increased number of low ratings is telling. Didn't show up when their dispatcher said that they would. (What is the point of arriving early if I don't know, you don't tell me in time to get there, and you don't call when you arrive?) When I call to find the answer, I get attitude and threatened that you will charge an additional service charge? (Yes, when you say that you are sorry that you misjudged your plumber's time of arrival but it's still my fault and threaten additional charges - yes, that is called attitude.) Maybe they have so much work that they don't need my business, but it seems a terrible way to treat a repeat customer.

While I am sure they will have some shiny, blame-the-client denial in response (as they apparently often do looking over recent reviews), you should save yourself some grief and time. Not going back. I recommend you call someone who will communicate as well as fix things.

I had DeWolfes out to unclog our bathroom sink and was told that the guck in there was very common from the AC. The clog was gone and I was happy with the outcome. However, with 2 weeks, the sink started slow draining again. I called to see if they'd come out to take a look and was told I would need to repay for the full service because they don't know what I've been putting down there... First of all, it's been 2 weeks. If it was completely taken care of, nothing should make it clog in 2 weeks. Second of all, I was told it was from our AC, not anything I've been doing. So incredibly frustrated to hear this and to get this kind of customer service, or lack thereof. I understand they cannot warranty drain clogs as these happen often but obviously the job was not done properly if an issue is occurring in less than a month. Will not be using DeWolfes again.

This is the second time I have used DeWolfes. They are fantastic. I called at 8am Mike was at my house at noon. Mike explained everything just like Chris had 6 months ago on a different issue. Mike explained two options one which was less expensive. The second option was the right way to go it solved the problem totally. I won't need to worry about it again. It was done at the price quoted. Thank you for your candor and honesty. Tim every business should be as transparent as you are!!

I would like to address the ladies who may be looking for a trusted, affordable, professional plumber.

I recently had my tree roots strangle my sewer line in two  places....the plumber, Mike, from Dewolfe Plumbing was a positive customer experience that can be very rare these days.

We discussed the problem and the solutions,in layman's terms that I understood...the repair is being fixed as I write this review..and not only did Mike  take care of scheduling, the jack hammers, to breakup my driveway...he also came back to check on the job and stayed in touch with me via phone...again...rare...how many times has someone say I will call you  and they do not...

I recommend Dewolfe Plumbing to all who need a repair.....the company, represents, integrity, affordability, and they treat the Customer like you are the boss...

This is the best plumbing company I have ever used.  Fair, affordable service done in a very professional manner and of the highest quality.  They are honest and upfront with everything the do.  No rip-offs here.  Show up on time when they say the will and don't leave until they have done what they came to do when at all possible.  I will be a life-long customer!

I will say this: I didn't actually get to be serviced by said company, but after calling for 3 days straight and leaving messages asking for service with no answer nor return call, I'm beginning to suspect these people don't want to make money.

If you're busy, I get it. It is very unprofessional to not have anyone answer the phone at your business, however.

I'm honestly flabbergasted.
TLDR: Incompetent or lazy plumber where almost everything he said was contradicted by a second way more professional plumber. Also was incredibly rude the second time he came out and actually said Helllll no when we requested something (not exaggerating the l's.)

- Mike came out to fix a toilet blockage from our master toilet. He said we had no clean-outs and needed to spend $5,000 to install two way clean-outs in our flower bed, so he could run his camera down to find the root cause of the issue. He couldn't get his camera equipment through the toilet because there were too many twists and turns in our pipe. He cleared the blockage and said it was outside our house around 25 feet away.
- We got blocked up again 2 weeks later. We found out we already had a two way city clean out, so we asked him if he could run his camera through that one and showed him a diagram from the city. He launched into a long explanation of how that wasn't going to work, and the city clean-out goes 6 feet underground and twists and turns - no plumber would run a camera through that way. He wouldn't even open the cover to look. Then lectured us for 30 minutes and told us 6 times that we need to get a two way clean-out installed on our flower bed - not the city one. He even walked us over to the flower bed to show us where it should be. Said there was likely a broken pipe under our driveway / near the tree in our front lawn because the first time he cleared it, it was 25 feet away. Told us to call another plumber to get a second opinion but that they would say the same thing.
- Called another plumber. They found the two way clean-out in our flower bed within 2 minutes of poking around with a stick. The same one that Mike told us 6 times we needed to spend $5,000 to install. They also ran the camera down the city two way clean out and were able to see that there was no issue under our driveway or under the tree. Turns out the broken pipe was right under our house, about 10-15 feet away from the toilet blockage.
- Other plumber said he has no idea how Mike from DeWolfe's plumbing could have possibly said the blockage was 25 feet out. Also has no idea how he couldn't find the flower bed clean-outs because there were just some leaves covering it. Also has no idea why he wouldn't run the camera down the city clean out. If he had, that would have clearly shown the broken pipe was NOT under the driveway or the tree - that it was 10 feet from the toilet under our house.
- We couldn't shower or use our only other full bathroom because of the blockage. We were almost desperate enough to just have DeWolfe's clear it again, just so we could use our other restroom. Because of how incredibly condescending he was, we decided against it. If we had asked him to clear it, we would have paid another $270 for a bandaid solution and still not have known we already have clean-outs to address the root cause of the issue.
- I explained all this to Jennifer from the front desk, and she promised the owner would call me back today to discuss what happened. I just got a call back from her saying the owner is too busy and would not call me. There would also be no way of getting us any kind of discount or refund. Instead, they tried to tell us maybe the clean-out was too far buried, or we have two breaks. Other plumber confirmed this was not the case because he knew immediately from looking at our house we had a clean-out in our flower bed, and he ran the whole line from our house to the city sewer and only saw one break. He was also baffled.

Threatened 3 times in 15 minutes by plumber and office.  

Plumber threatened he would not leave my house until I paid $202 for unclogging 1 toilet (15 minutes prior) but would not give me a bill of any kind - then threatened to report me to Collections (15 minutes after unclogging1 toilet) and the office threatened to call the Police to my home . . .Still have not received anything in writing from them nor did they have me sign anything.

Very pushy and aggressive people working for this company.  Maybe it was because I was a female.   I do not recommend this company.   Threatening a female to not leave her home is crossing the line - if not criminal.  And complete lack of customer service skills - no information given to me about invoicing policies when I booked the appointment.  And overcharged to unclog 1 toilet  $202

I had a dual sink that both backed up because of buildup from my AC, which drains into the pipes. The vent stack is off center so coming in from the roof was no good.  After two+ hours of trying to snake it myself, I called Dewolfe's.  The came out same day, Travis was able to not only fix it quickly, but give me tips to help prevent issues in the future.  AWESOME SERVICE!

Since my first review, which was done in November of 2016, I now have at least four (maybe 5?) experiences to draw on between my home and another I was taking care of. I have been very pleased each time with the service these folks provided. Plumbing is expensive, and no one is going to like paying the bill; but these guys are fair, professional, and I'm very comfortable having them in my home. That matters. Can't picture us calling anyone else.

Be ready to pay with cash or check if you want to avoid a service fee for using a credit card. I believe it is either 3 or 4%.

By far the best plumbing company I've ever used!!!

I came home from work at lunch to eat and I realized I had no hot water it was just warm so I called a plumber to come out to check out the situation the first plumbing company that came out was very rude and vulgar and said a cuss word every other sentence he gave me a quote of 1800 to replace the water heater I asked him why it would cost so much he just said because that what it will cost for me to put it in extremely rude

So after I thought I was going to be broke for awile I decided to call dewolfe's affordable plumbing the lady on the phone was extremely helpful and respectful and said that they could send someone right out to take a look and see what it will take to get them taken care of. When the plumber arrived he shook my hand and introduced himself I proceeded to show him the water heater he said he could do it for 800 and explained everything in extreme detail so I actually knew what I was spending my money on. that alone was such a big deal while he was working I also noticed a drip under my sink and asked if he could take a look at it for me and give my a price he said sure then he fixed the leak and said I didn't have to pay for it this man is a stand up guy dewolfe's affordable plumbing is just flat out the best company I've delt with

Excellent service at a very reasonable price. Will plan to use this company again.  We had a toilet running and a backed up sink. The service was polite, professional and I didn't feel like I was being sold on work that went above and beyond what was necessary which has definitely happened with other plumbers in the past. A good option!

Everything is still great with our WH.  This week we chose to hire DeWolfe's to do some remodel changes to rip out and cap off a shower, and run a line to turn a prior tub into a stand up shower.  

Not only were Chris and his receptionist patient when I made multiple calls, had multiple questions and changed my mind twice but he came out with basically no notice to get the job done for me.

Chris was super conscientious about doing whatever I needed, explaining what needed to be done and cleaning up any mess he made.  Even though he underestimated the work required to tear out our existing shower he did not change his price.  

I can't say enough about DeWolfe's and I've recommended them to multiple people as well as all my realtor friends already.  Having worked with over a dozen contractors this past month I can honestly say its a relief to find a decent, reliable, affordable company to deal with for a change.

I've been using DeWolfe's almost exclusively for 5 years.  They used to do a great job and were very professional.  The 2 stars for 5 years of good service.  -3 stars because of their last visit to my house on Monday.  The Tech they sent showed up to my house over 1.5 earlier than the time slot of 10-12.  He then quoted me the most expensive drain clean out I've ever been quoted.. and it was 50% higher than the last time they cleaned out a drain.  I told this to the tech and he told me it was their price.  I declined service and found a more reasonable plumber.  An hour later, DeWolfe offered to take $100 off the service cost, but being a woman and a businessperson.. I dislike switch and bait pricing.  I emailed their management yesterday complaining of the most recent service and haven't gotten a response.   I guess they don't care about losing a formerly loyal customer, so here's my updated review.

Affordable pricing and same day service!  I had a line  break for a washing machine. Travis came out the same day and had me fixed up in less an hour. I would recommend them and use them again for any of my plumbing needs.

Honest work at unbeatable price!  I had a litany of repairs in my newly purchased home and he tackled them all in one day without complaint (several leaky faucets, new toilet, new hose bib).  Showed up on time and the repairs went smoothly and quickly.  Highly recommend.

Me and my family had some warranty work done Chris was on time and throughly explained everything that would happen on the job so I wouldn't be in the dark was great around my kids and respectful. I also got his number for any future job and shared with my family and friends. Oh and you know how it is really annoying when contractors don't clean up after! Everything mess they made was cleaned up. Such a relief after working all day and wanting to relax.

called by them after i answered questions online  for estimate for a clogged drain. Chance arrived at 3:00 and off the bat told me the cost was 250 and was getting a discount of 50 dollars off, woopie!!!, and the charge after an hour, it was 100 dollars every 30 minutes. He answered a personal call, telling me it was about his 1000 phone repair!! I was stuck with this company because i couldn't take another day off from work or wait to use the restroom and shower. I called other plumbers after he left and was told that  $75-$125 was the estimate based on what i explained the problem.. Then after a call to the owner i was surprised he had NO concern for his high prices, telling me i got off cheap.. Very rude man, no customer service or interpersonal skills. I think i was ripped off at least 75-100 dollars. While my son, who's in the military, (16 yrs) and isn't here to set these bullies straight., James is  a square, honorable man and has a moral compass. i will take the high road and pray for these guys.

The office manager, Chris, I spoke to is the most unprofessional person I've had to deal with.  He did not want to listen to my issue and threaten to void the company warranty if I posted a negative review.  

I had a water heater replace on Monday the Oct. 12.  The work was done satisfactory and I was told by the technician, Mike, that I had to pick a day for the City of Dallas to come out and inspect the work. The city does not give you a window for when they will send an inspector out, you are at their mercy all day from 8-4:30pm for them to come out.  I told Mike that I can be home from work on Friday Oct. 15 and he called it into his office. I thought about it and asked if I can think about it some more before setting up the date and he said it was impossible to change the date, it was set in stone.  The city inspector will be coming on Friday and if I'm not here, I will be fined.  It's 1:30pm on the 15th so I call the City of Dallas and they tell me there is no permit and an Inspector will not be coming out, my day is wasted.

I called DeWolfe to find out what going on.  They said that they were hoping the permit will be approved by midnight of the 14th (I'm suspicious about this because how many government offices do you know of that work past 5pm?).  I asked why they did not give me a courtesy call on the 15th to let me know that a permit has not even been granted so I will not have to waste a day waiting on an inspector that will not come, no response.  Only response I got from Chris was basically $hit happens, oh well. I told him I was not satisfied with that answer and I would be documenting it with a negative review.  This is when he became irritated, started yelling and talking over me saying that if I wrote a negative review, he would void my warranty and not have anything to do with me ever again, and hung up.

I can understand mistakes made if an apology was offered but instead, I got yelled at by Chris.  If you choose to do business with them, let this serve as a warning on what to expect.

I will never do business with them again but if warranty issues arrive, they will honor it regardless of what Chris said.

Great service.  Travis was out today, and other than being a Ravens fan, he was superb.  Travis communicated well, did the work professionally and cleaned up after he was done.  I know a good plumbing company when partially into the job something changes and they didn't have to do everything they initially though and they told me about it and reduced the billing to accommodate for it.  It's often hard to find an honest and honorable contractor, but I believe that DeWolfes Plumbing is that.  Highly recommend, I will certainly be using them for all future plumbing needs.  Oh, their pricing was definitely affordable.

I've has the plumbers come to my home several times now. I must say they are THE BEST PLUMBERS I have ever used in 45 years of marriage! They are honest, dependable and fast!!! The last time they came the charged us $0! Zippo! Nada! Nothing!!! Our shower head was clogged and they could have easily charged us over $100. But, they didn't!!! They cleaned it...it now runs SUPER!!! Cannot tell you how impressed I am with them...
You are in good hands...ask for Mike...better go open the door now...he'll be there in a FLASH! Wonderful folks!!!

Came home from the holiday weekend to find our toilet was backing up. Called DeWolfe's the next and they were out here that afternoon. Discovered roots in our main pipe. Chris was incredibly helpful and he talked us through what was going on and what was needed. Repairs and pipe replacement have already been completed. I am happy and extremely satisfied with the service we received. We will definitely use and recommend DeWolfe's to family and friends. Thank you so much!!

They are over priced.  I had the interior part of my faucet replaced for $208.  It did not take very long at all. Like five minutes to replace.  I do not have time to shop around and he was already here so I just paid the price.  They ARE NOT AFFORDABLE!  They are over priced!  They need to changed their name to NOT SAY AFFORDABLE!!  I paid for a full faucet.  Mike only replaced the inner part.  I asked him for the outer part and he said I did not need it. It was like a argument to get the outer part I paid for. He ended up keeping it.  Very pushy and aggressive people working for this company.  Maybe it was because I was a female.   I do not recommend this company.

We just moved to Plano from CA so have to find new everything.  Through next doors we found Dewolfes plumbing.  I called Monday had a same day appointment with Chris.   He called because he was around the corner from another job.  He was here 1 hour from the service call time.  He gave  me a free estimate before he got started and was very kind and explained the repair.  He fixed the low pressure shower valve that was installed wrong and upside down.  Medium to high pricing but was honest, capable and good plumber.  You pay for what you get.  I already got pricing for other projects and upgrades from him.

We had a gas leak after the freezing weather and our regular plumber was booked solid for a week or more.  I found DeWolfes through the internet.  They called me before I even got off my computer!  Mike Sawyer, our plumber, explained everything that would have to be done and explained of possible extra expenses if there were more leaks.  Fortunately there were no other leaks.  Mike coordinated everything from diggers to permits, and he was the one who laid the new gas line for us. He got us back up and running as quickly as was possible, and we appreciate it very much during this cold winter.  We feel so much safer now, knowing there are no more leaks in the line.  I would definitely call them again and thank goodness for Mike!

Read the other 1 star reviews... TRUTH...Be aware and stay away .... I called this company from seeing their Groupon. They were running late. They were scheduled to be at my place between 12-2. The staff person called and said they would not make it until between 2-4. I agreed reluctantly even though it inconvenienced me. They called me at 1:45 and told me they were at my place. I said no problem I'm around the corner, like 2 mins away. The guy was so unprofessional and I said well it looks like you wouldn't mind waiting since you'll made me wait, right ? To his reply, he said, Don't worry about coming we're not going to do your job. How unprofessional. Wow ! I would stay away from these people.

We have an appointment with Mike Sawyer this morning. He was on time!! Wow you don't see that too often these days! We have black particles coming out of Kitchen faucet. Mike checked the piping, and advised us to replace the hot water heater. We also have Mike replace the toilet in the 2nd bathroom. Another item Mike helps to fix is the hose bit in the back yard. Mike is very professional and polite. We will hire him again for other plumbing issues. It's 7:33 pm and he is still working here. It is very helpful so we don't have to take another day off from work. Very happy and will recommend him to our friends.

This is by far one of the worst customer service I have experienced. I am not sure how this company stays in business treating people the way I was treated. They are contracted through choice home warranty and my claim was assigned to them. I called early in morning to set up appointment and talked with a female that was very nice and accommodating. We set the appt. for 4pm to 6pm. At this point I was very impressed with the company. I called around 1:30 to ensure they received the claim as they had not when I talked with them this morning. This is when everything went sour.  I talked with one of the rudest men I have ever dealt with. He told me yes we received your claim and our schedule has changed and we need to come from 2 to 4. I informed him that I made accommodations with my work for 4pm and I could not make the 2 pm time slot. He then proceeded to say then you will be canceled today and rescheduled for another day. When I informed him I will not reschedule with him he basically hung up on me. He had said that they finished earlier and needed to come to my house earlier. Now if I could have I would have but it sounds to me he did not want to work that late. I then called choice home warranty got another plumber and made a formal complaint with them and called this company back to talk with the owner. The guy I spoke with says he was the owner but I seriously doubt he was because I can not see a business owner treating potential customers as he did. When asked why he could not keep my original appointment, his response was since choice home warranty does not S tay open past 5 he will not do work for them past five.  WHAT????  CRAZY, I know!!!  I then asked why I was given the option for that time if it was not available to me and his response was I don't know. Regardless to say, it looks like I am the one that lucked out after reviewing their YELP standings. Do not do business with these unprofessional dimwits!!!!  You have been warned!!!

DeWolfes was eager to price match a quote I got from another company to replace a main sewer line in the front of my house.  They had great customer service up front and seemed to have more technical knowledge compared to the other company which is why I hired them.  The main technician however was very hostile with me on several occasions after he realized the job was very extensive (although he was the one that originally diagnosed the problem).  While they did complete the work, 6 weeks later we discovered after all our grass was dying in a specific area and that they had cut the sprinkler lines in the process and left them that way without telling us.  This ended up costing us so much in repairs.

After having my water heater breakdown one too many times I decided to finally dump that old thing and replace it with an electric one. It happened in the middle of the week, working all day and not having hot water wasn't gonna cut it. I browsed around and even asked friends online and someone recommended Chris and was told that he is a dependable family man. I called and stated the urgency of the situtaion and said he would be able fit me in to get it sorted out. Not being at home luckily my neighbor is nice enough to grant him access while Im not there. He called when he arrived and called again after he left and explained the process and how everything was set up. I will definitely be calling Chris's company again, knowing you can trust someone to come into your home and do what they're supposed to in a professional manner is very important to me. Now I've got unlimited hot water! Life is good again.

Travis did a great job with unclogging our laundry drain and installing a drain clean out and hot water faucet. I would recommend DeWolfe Plumbing and will call them again for future improvements and repairs

I had a great experience with DeWolfe's when I was living in the area. They were prompt, professional, and very fair with their pricing. I would use them again, and recommend them to anyone. They throughly explained what my problem was, showed me so I understood what was going on, and kept me informed throughout the whole process of repair. Thanks again to them for their wonderful service. Great family company all the way around.

Our Plumber, Chris, from DeWolfes Affordable Plumbing was prompt and professional. He was very personable and attended to our issue with efficiency and knowledge. The office staff was courteous and helpful. I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this company for all your plumbing needs!

Sept 2014 - Called DeWolfes to take care of a leaking outside faucet.  After taking a look at the situation, Mike knew exactly what to do.  He fixed it in short order and charged exactly what I was quoted.  

April 2015 - After a pretty bad late winter, I connected a hose for the first time in spring and the same leak was back.  Mike came back out, looked at the problem, and said it was likely due to a freeze and normally wouldn't be covered under warranty. However, Mike replaced the part very quickly and charged me nothing.  

Frankly, I was very surprised that a questionable situation would have gone my way and that I wasn't charged.  Mike and DeWolfes Plumbing has made a believer out of me and I will be using and recommending them without hesitation.

Mike from DeWolfe's just came to my house to fix a shower faucet that someone else messed up. This is the second time I have used their company, and I love them and will always use them and recommend them to everybody I know. I called DeWolfe to replace a water heater.  They came onsite, did a full inspection and gave me an estimate.  The estimator told me he had done other jobs in my complex, and knew exactly what was needed, so I made the appointment.  He said they are family owned and were the lowest price around.  
The same inspector came back to perform the work, but arrived several hours late.  I made arrangements for my girlfriend to stay while I went to work. As I get to my job my gf calls and hands the phone to the worker who tells me he can't drain the water heater and needs to create a custom tube using PVC piping and it will cost another $450 and take another full day.  I gave him some very easy recommendations but he insisted he tried the option I gave. Since he couldn't finish the job that day I told him I'd think about it.  
The next day, my gf called DeWolfe to express our disappointment in the tardiness and estimation and to reschedule.  The girl answering the phone handed it to her supervisor who told us if we weren't happy they did not want to do the work.  I happily granted his wish.  Called two other plumbers, both of which were shocked DeWolfe didn't take my recommendation to drain the tank as thats exactly what they would do, and one of them did for less than DeWolfe's original estimate even with their groupon.
I will never use DeWolfes Affordable Plumbing again.

2/16/2015  It wasn't even your house it was your girlfriends house...she couldn't afford the job as everything was not up to code and installed illegal..you guys did not have the money to do the job the proper way so we refused to do it..we don't patch up leaking water heaters and were on time all 3 visits it took for your girlfriend to realiE she didn't have the money..maybe if you paid her some rent or something she could afford to do the repair?

Facts - I am the sole owner of my home and my gf was helping me by letting them in.  I was paying for all repairs.  The job was to replace the water heater and update to code.  They came out only twice and were late both times. Is this who you want to do your work?

So nice to find a plumber who is honest, affordable, on-time, and does excellent work.  The phone staff is friendly and efficient, and the plumbers have all been great to work with.  Never feel like I'm getting the runaround with these guys, but an honest appraisal of what is really needed and great service on the kitchen faucet install.  Would highly recommend!

I went to Teeters to purchase parts for my shower faucet, then called De Wolfe to come and install.  They stated that I had the wrong part and then wanted $95.00 for coming out. (I was quoted $130.00 for the job).  After going back to Teeters, I discovered that I DID have the right parts.  I called another plumbing company.  They came out and installed the part in less than 25 minutes.  I would never again trust DeWolfe.

I used them twice. The first time, they fixed a broken sprinkler pipe and I was delighted. The problem was fixed, the price was good, the plumber was a great guy. A couple of months later, my laundry machine backed up, so I contacted DeWolfe again. The same plumber came out on Friday, and said the laundry machine was backing up into the kitchen sink, so he ran a snake from my kitchen toward the laundry machine. He cleared a clog but the problem remained. He left and returned with a camera, then said I had a broken pipe outside and it would cost $2600 to fix ($2000 to dig a hole and $600 for the fix). I said I'd dig the hole and he said he'd come back when I was ready.  On Monday I got a handyman and laborers, and we cleared some bushes so we could dig. The handyman saw some pipes sticking up to vent the plumbing and asked if the plumber had run a snake down THEM. I said no, so he said we should stop digging, rent a snake and see if we could fix the problem that way. We did that and -- voila! -- the drainage issue was fixed. We ran the snake away from the house, and there was NO SIGN of a broken pipe where we'd been told the broken pipe was. I'd spent less than $200. I thought the plumber had misdiagnosed the problem and missed a possible solution, so I sent an email to DeWolfe Plumbing. I was upset because I could have been out $2600 from their mistake. I immediately got back two poorly worded, poorly spelled iPhone messages from a guy named Chris saying that my problem would recur and that they didn't do bandaide (sp) fixes, only long-term solutions. So Chris made everything worse with really poor customer service. When customers have problems, you don't get defensive, arrogant, argue and dismiss their solutions as BandAids while claiming to provide long-term solutions. You look at the problem from the CUSTOMER'S perspective, suck it up and work with them to make them happy. Turning an unhappy person into a happy one is a REAL long-term solution, and it brings you more money, more customers and builds your reputation. My negative experience with Chris and DeWolfe still ticks me off nearly three years later, which is why I decided to update this review. In almost three years, the problem my handyman fixed has NEVER come back. I saved about $2400--a helluva lot of money!--and DeWolfe will never, ever get any of it again. That's my long-term solution.

I'm really surprised by some of the negative reviews of this company. This morning I noticed a leak coming from our water heater. I called around to a few top rated Yelp companies and wasn't too impressed with their pricing, sales pitch, and professionalism. I found DeWolfe's on Angie's List where their highly recommended. I gave them a call and the lady who answered was very friendly and said she would have someone out that day within the next couple of hours. Sure enough, Travis, showed up within the hour, assessed the problem (just a leaky pipe) and immediately went a grabbed the part and had it fixed within an hour. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He didn't try to upsell me anything. Our water heater is over 10 years old so he gave me quotes for a new water heater and PRV for when we do decide to replace our water heater. I was very grateful to have our leak repaired at an amazing price (far less than what anyone else quoted us). We will definitely be using them again the future!

Mr. Dewolfe was contracted through a home warrant.   He came to the location to look at the issue.  I had located the leak and even dug it up for him.   He refused to work on the leak stating that the ground was damp.  He stated that he requires an EPA approved letter before can he do any work. I checked with numerous people in the plumbing industry as well as the employees in his office.  None of them had any knowledge of what he may be talking about.   The moral of the story is Mr. Dewolfe refused to fix a water leak because he may get muddy.   This was the biggest waste of time.   The home warranty company that contracted him, also has no knowledge of this so called requirement.
