Extremely happy with our new water heater! We found out that our 16+ year old unit was leaking Sunday evening, so I gave them a call right then & there. We all agreed that it would be best for them to come by the following morning and they were here bright & early.

They gave us a quote, picked up the new unit, and had it hooked up by Noon. Personally, I don't think they are very expensive for a highly legitimate and professional company. Will happily recommend and use again. Thanks guys

BEWARE.

I'm so bummed to have to share this, but I feel, due to integrity, I must.

In case you are searching for a reputable plumbing company in the Houston/Katy area, please read this first before choosing this company.

My elderly mother + I have used this company multiple times over the years. No longer.

I live out of state and come back to support each one of my elders multiple times a year so that they can continue to live in dignity and by their own design.

Over the years, I've personally hired plumbers from this company and built personal relationships that have been trusting and built on integrity. I like to establish loyalty-oriented relationships with companies, so that there's a history of trust and stability that can be accessed when needed.

But - something's different now with this company. Very different.

Last week, my mother's kitchen faucet started leaking so I purchased a new one that matched the one needing replacement. I called Capital Care Plumbing, per usual, to schedule a replacement appointment.

I was not told how much it would be to simply replace a faucet (that I already had on hand, with all parts supplied), and frankly, I didn't ask for a price over the phone due to the historical relationship.

Cutting to the chase, for a 30 minute faucet replacement, the charge was $313.00. For less than 30 minutes of work. $313.00. Period.

The plumber who came out agreed that it was exorbitantly high, he said there was nothing he could do - it was company policy.

For literally 30 minutes of work.

I had the new faucet ready to go, he was in + out in less than 45minutes, including the very challenging time he had trying to figure out how to run the credit card for payment.

I was stuck + had to use them. My mother is ill and was asleep in the next room, I really had no choice.

If I lived in Houston, I guarantee that I'd have not used them today. I would've found someone else with more reasonable pricing. But alas, I didn't have the luxury of researching for a better option (of which I'm sure there are, and will do so beginning today for future engagement).

If I lived here in Houston, I would NEVER use this company.

I'm certain there are other companies with much higher integrity + concern for their customers, particularly loyal ones.

We called Capital Care Plumbing to come out and fix our toilet.  Mike came out a couple of hours after we called and replaced the tank that was leaking.  Fair price, prompt service, and very professional.  We'll be doing more work with this business and recommending them to anyone who needs their services.

James seems to know his stuff, and hopefully fixed an ongoing problem with one of my drains.  He extended my warranty upon request due to the nature of my problem.  After a few scheduling problems he made up for the run-around by making a special trip out to me.  Pricing was definitely on the high end compared to the national average for the type of work performed.  Assistants needed more training before coming onsite, though.

James was called for a unique plumbing challenge to make my roof more solar friendly. His team came out and worked on several options with pricing and levels of change possible. Nice to work with an honest and transparent group of people. We decided together not to do the project with no hassle from James or his team. Will definitely call him back when work needs to be done again. Thanks for the consult James!

After reading several reviews and researching companies. I selected Capital Care. I call and spoke w/Julie she was very professional and warm. She explained their process and inquired if this was an emergency job. I said no and she ask me what day & time was good. We picked a day & time and she called me on that day to let me know the person that was coming and what time to expect them. Steve & Tucker came in very professional w/mask and booties on their feet. They told us the bathroom faucet needed to be replaced (it was from the builder & cheap) we had them replace the kitchen faucet because I wanted a fancy one. We would use them again for our future plumbing needs. Great job guys!!!

After getting ignored for 3 days after the estimate was due by another plumber that I found via Lowe's, I was very happy that Capital was able to come out as quickly as they did. I was going on day 3 with no hot water in December!

Aaron trusted that I knew the capacity of my water heater as well as how tall it was - can't say that for other plumbers - and was probably able to handle it faster than if he had to come to my home to spec out a new one.

Is it pricey?  Yes, but it was less than a $1k and the people at Lowe's gave me the impression it would be more than that due to new regulations.  So thanks again Aaron and Capital Care - now I'm going to take a nice hot shower!!

I do business with Capital Care Plumbing. So I've had an inside view that most people won't get to see. I've witnessed first hand how they really give their customers a personal touch that's missing from many businesses these days. Many times when calling a plumber, the situation can be kind of urgent. I've seen the associates at Capital Care Plumbing listen intently and do all they can to get those urgent situation resolved quickly. Capital Care Plumbing is the company I will trust to handle any of my plumbing needs!

Cost.  Took way too long, and they did not tell us it would take all day.  Work was good the guy came at 1:00 pm but said they would be here at 8:00 am.  They were here until around 9:30 pm.  The guy was very nice.  Also, the receptionist did not give us a heads up that they would be late.  I had to call them to find out.  We did get a Senior Citizens discount.

Sent a request via their website and also left a voicemail as I had a plumbing leak in my attic. @4 hours later and still no contact by this company. That's fine, I gave Mercy Plumbing a call and 7 hours later, Mercy showed up and resolved my issue.

It should be noted that I am in management for a homeowners insurance company. Guess which plumbing company I will NOT recommend to my agents?

Capital Care Plumbing was recommended by one of my coworkers who had used them in the past, and I'm glad that I went with James and his team to have my water heater replaced. They charged a fair price for the work done and came out fairly quickly to do the work done. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Everyone at Capital Care Plumbing was very helpful and professional - from the receptionist who handled my initial call to the plumber who came to my home and did the work.

I always say the true test of great service is how a company handles an issue that arises.  That was the case here.  We had a leak that was no fault of Capital Care's plumbers at all.  It was a faulty part that I had bought, which they installed for me.  However, they were able to repair it and stop the leak with no problems whatsoever.

CCP may not be the lowest price you'll find, but their rates are definitely reasonable, and the quality of work and level of professionalism are well worth an extra few bucks over hiring a budget plumber or handyman that might charge less.

I highly recommend CCP.

Top notch professionalism and service. I cannot say enough about the customer service attention we received when we had a water supply line break in our foundation and flooding our kitchen from the island happening over a holiday weekend in our 4-year old Coventry built home. I had to shutdown the water to the entire house to prevent further flooding and  damage to the custom cabinetry.
This is a big deal since I have 2 very young children and grandparents living in the house.
I had 4 different plumbing companies come out to assess the damage and provide a plan of action to find and address the water break.
James, the owner of Capital Care, personally came, assessed the damage, and provided a reasonable plan of action. But what was MOST AMAZING about the customer service we received was his offer to reroute the water supply line so that we would have water to the rest of the house and not have water continuing to flood our kitchen while we waited on our home insurance company to respond. No other plumbing companies made this offer.
Also, the 3 other plumbing companies either wanted to tear out the kitchen floor tiles and cabinets or tunnel from outside the house and below our foundation to locate the water break, which would have been overkill.
True impressive experience was shown when  James was able to determine where the water supply lines were coming down the kitchen exterior wall behind the cabinets and cut an opening perfectly in the cabinet back wall and drywall to expose them.
Thank you for taking care of my family!

Get multiple estimates before using these guys, or you may be ripped off.

The thermostat on our water heater went out resulting in no hot water - no bueno. I called Capital Care, who quickly sent a serviceman to my house. The thermostat was under warranty, so there would be no charge for parts, but the labor fee was $500! Yes, you read that correctly. $500 for roughly 10 minutes of non-intensive work for one repairman. When I explained the price I was quoted to my husband, father, home builder and the eventual repair company we chose, they all laughed hysterically.

Do not be taken advantage of by these guys simply because you aren't an expert on something plumbing related. Ask around!

We will never consider this company again because they do not have the ethics and values of honest customer service that we support.

After twelve years in Katy, and several experiences with other plumbers, we have to say this referral of Capital Care Plumbing, from our long-time friend & most appreciated a/c serviceman (Ben Vollmar of Polar a/c), has proven to be our best Plumbing experience yet. James Warren (owner) of Capital Care Plumbing demonstrates all the excellence you hope for in home servicing of any kind. Courteous, knowledgeable, prompt, clean, expert, efficient, trustworthy, and even value-priced! Today our experience, with an emergency interior gas leak (pipe) repair could not have gone any better.
Previously, we had only two home services providers (in Katy) we classified as top of their respective classes (a/c = Polar A/c, and Landscaping: Superior Lawn), but now we proudly add a third one: Plumbing: Capital Care! If needed, please try them, with our highest recommendation.

Quick Response, Professional, Fixed the Leak

Stephen Finch just left my home and he repaired a leak that was pinhole and inside my wall.  He checked all surrounding areas first, checked the AC in the attic, the laundry room, under the sink - nothing. He listened at the walls - nothing. I knew he'd have to go in the walls - he went in through a nearby closet and found the leak - pinhole but spraying water. He plugged the leak, let it dry, checked it for security - all done!  This is my second visit from this company in the last 7 months - each time I have been happy.  Highly recommend this company. They wrap their shoes prior to entering your home, they are professional, quick, polite, and efficient. Cheers!

Wow!! I can't give enough praise to Capital Care.  I woke up to no water this morning.  I called their office around 6:00am & was greeted by an office representative.  They had someone at my home about 3 hours later.  The technician was clean cut & very professional.  I definitely recommend using them.

I had a leak around a vent, and originally thought it was an AC problem. After two AC companies claiming they could fix it with just giving me a brand new system, I called my favorite plumbers just to make sure...guess what? Leaky pipe, NOT AC.

I really recommend Aaron from Capital Care Plumbing. They have saved me so much money in the past compared to other plumbing services, and Aaron specifically was a joy, explained everything well, gave me a fair price, and saved me a lot of money by actually fixing the problem instead of taking advantage of me.

We've used Capital Care twice this year and are very satisfied. They scheduled us immediately, arrived on time, gave us quick diagnostics of the problem, were upfront and clear on prices of materials and repair. We felt like they were looking out for us and helping us save money, instead of recommending more expensive options. Plumbers have been super nice and pleasant to work with too. I would recommend!

We had a leak in what appeared to be our upstairs bathroom. We normally use Katy Plumbing 911, but they were busy and recommended Capital Care Plumbing.

They gave us a 6 to 9 PM Window and arrived at 7:30. Pete quickly identified the problem, went upstairs in the attic to confirm and was in and out in 20 minutes. He also told us how to fix up the stain left of the ceiling.

Best of all he did not charge as We didn't do anything. This is takes an honest company.

I would highly recommend them and am now have an additional plumbing crew to call on.

Sorry but I feel ripped of by this company. I asked how much it would be to unclog a toilet BEFORE they came out to see if I could afford it, they said till the person came out they could not give me a price but there was a trip charge of $20. The guy was not in my house 2 minutes and said to snake the toilet was $169, which as a single parent I can't afford. I then called a handyman so has 30 years of work experience and he says no need to snake it. He removes the toilet gets out the object my kid stuffed in there and $40 later my toilet is done.

James came out on short notice to take a look at our leak. Come to find out it was actually an appliance malfunction and not a plumbing issue. His integrity through this process assured us that James and the team really do care about their clients. He was very knowledgable and gave us pointers and next steps on what to do even when it wasn't related to his business. We know that If we ever do have a plumbing issue, Capital Care will be our go to. Thanks again James for your excellent customer service!

Cannot say enough about these folks!! I FINALLY found an honest plumber!! No offense meant to all plumber just meant towards all plumbers I've previously worked with!! They're reliable and reasonable priced. The owner when I talked to him seemed to really care more about running an honorable business than turning a profit which is rare these days but much appreciated!! They're all very knowledgable and what they don't know they research and get the best answers they can find. If you live in Nottingham and are messing with brown water call these people!! If you live in Katy and are tired of the hard water and chemicals call these people!  You won't be disappointed!

Lacks GOOD BUSINESS practices. I called ( 1:30pm) and explained we had a busted pipe in the attic. Asked twice was their any tech available to come out today,1-7-16.  The rep said YES both times. She proceeds to tell me that the tech will call with his ETA. GREAT, so I thought!  Around 3:30pm still no tech. I called and was told, ohhhh, yea, hhmmmm the tech said we are over booked.. we'll be out MONDAY! TODAY IS SATURDAY..we have no running water! Two hours of my time wasted..two hours I could have called around somewhere else. VERY BAD BUSINESS ETHICS... UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD. MY EXPERIENCE MAKES ME WONDER ABOUT THE VALIDITY OF THE OTHER REVIEWS.

While performing a DIY job to fix some water damage in the bathroom, I noticed that the flange was damaged and the root cause of the leak.  Unfortunately, this is beyond my skill set.  James, the owner, and the plumber, David, were extremely responsive.

With a tight schedule myself, we worked out a time the next day and kept in touch via text messages.  David arrived with another tech.  He walked through the process before and during the repair.  He explained some potential pitfalls given the offset configuration of the flange.  He managed to perform the repair with no damage to the surrounding tile or slab.   Pricing was reasonable and they cleaned up the  area.  I will definitely use again.

On a Friday eve (around 7 PM) all of a sudden, I had a problem with my water pressure (too low) in my home. I was not sure if the drop in pressure was due to a leak outside (coz I looked inside for any leaks) and I couldn't figure out the reason. After all the troubleshooting I could do, I tried calling a lot of so called 24 hrs plumbing services but none answered other than Capital Care Plumbing. The person took all my details and said the on-call technician would call me. Within 2 mins, Aaron called me and said he will be there in an hour. He came down and figured out the problem is with the water softener. He temporarily by-passed the softener as he didn't have experience (at least he was genuine) with that softener and no spares. At least, the problem is solved temporarily. When in emergency, you can depend on this company coz there is at least some who can come over to look at the problem and resolve it. Thank you so much Aaron and Capital Care Plumbing for helping your clients 24/7.

Highly recommend! This is the 2nd or 3rd time we have used them and have been happy with their work every time. They always have availability and are usually early to their appointments.

First time they came over to inspect some water damage free of charge and were able to tell us were it was coming from. We hired a contractor to fix it and had our shower completely renovated. Less than a week after completion we had little to no water pressure. Our contractor blamed it on our new shower fixture, so after a few months of frustration we called Capital Care. They sent Billie and another plumber over (sorry I didn't get his name!) and they found that our contractor had completely clogged the piping during installation. He replaced all the clogged piping and explained to us exactly what happened. We called our contractor to explain what was going on and he again did not take responsibility for it. Billie was so helpful throughout the whole process and was willing to talk to our contractor and come back to explain his findings if necessary. I really appreciate any company that stands behind their work and Billie did just that!

I've had these guys out to the house three times, and was mostly satisfied. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and they usually come the same day I call.  I was a little disappointed that the third time they came, they charged me $350.00 to fix the toilet, (something to do with the flange) and when I called to report that it was leaking, I had to pay another $124.00 to repair that problem. They said parts were needed. I wish they had anticipated that before doing the initial work, and I would have just purchased a new toilet. Fast service, but I feel like I wasted some money.

Done business with Capital Care Plumbing for years.  Last two times I was very unhappy and felt they had ripped me off.  Was overcharged for kitchen faucet installation.  Since they had been my plumber for so long I called for an estimate and could not believe how much they were going to charge for the three items I needed repaired.  Turned to Katy Plumbing who took care of all my needs at a fraction of the cost. As the previous reviewer stated she too felt over charged.  Don't mind someone making a living but hate being ripped off.  These guys need to review their pricing.

I've had many plumbers over the years and most charged more than a lawyer's fees to pay for their large custom trucks.  Capital Care performed an admirable job and charged me, a tightwad, a very reasonable price. They are the only company I have called back to my house for additional, but separate, work.
