Shiver plumbing was prompt to respond to my email and answered any questions I had. My quote for the tankless water heater was very reasonable. They were prompt on coming out to do the job. Overall, I had no issues or complaints with the job.

John is my go to plumber every time. He fixed a huge disaster in my house with frozen pipes and every time he comes he's very clear about what's going on, my options, ways I can save money. He's a stand up guy who goes above and beyond. Today he went under my house to check my pressure regulator and discovered two of my HVAC vents were disconnected. He fixed those too. I recommend John. I'm disappointed by people who post nasty reviews to hurt another person's business. Please ignore them.

Shiver came out to my house and instantly fixed my issues. Their prices are great, their customer service is fantastic, and their results are unbeatable. THANK YOU so much! I will absolutely be using Shiver again.

Rude and disrespectful for no reason.  Anyone can have a bad day, but from the reviews, it looks like this guy has a lot of bad days.

A resident at the community I work hired a man from her church that works for this company. He came and looked at her plumbing in bathroom. I asked him to go under home and he got angry because I wanted a picture to verify the issue. He misdiagnosed the issue. He also charged the client twice.

We have been really happy with John, who has come to our rescue several times. He's professional, reliable and charges reasonable fees, and he's been great about getting to us promptly. Besides all that, he's a very nice guy and easy to work with.

I cannot say enough good things about John Shiver and Shiver Plumbing. I was awakened this morning by the sound of rushing water under my house. I was able to get the water turned off myself and started calling for help. The last company I used was not able to send anyone today. The 2nd company I called, for whatever reason didn't even return my call. I searched here on YELP and found Shiver Plumbing. Not only was he able to come today he arrived at the time he said he would, actually a little earlier. He assessed the problem quickly and gave me a reasonable quote and then charged a little less. I will DEFINITELY call John if/when I need help again.

Fantastic service with a competitive price! Called John at 1pm and he was able to get out same day. No hidden fees and upfront pricing. John was very professional and responsive. Will definitely be using him again for any future plumbing needs!

No no no!!! Do NOT waste your time or money on this guy! He was so rude to us! Every time my husband had any communication with him, he was a complete jerk! I'm not even sure how he has any clients!

Aside from his attitude, he halfway did a job, then blamed our contractor for everything that went wrong including leaking a gallon of water into our newly renovated bathroom. He ripped off the bead board and left it in pieces (all could have been avoided if he just did what he was supposed to do in the first place) and now we have to pay for materials and labor to replace it.

He also had the nerve to tell my husband we needed to lend him our SUV so he could go run errands for an afternoon when he broke his key to his truck in our driveway. (Didn't even ask us, not that we would have lent it to him anyway) On top of that, he left his truck here for days until the new key came. WHO DOES THAT?!?

He showed up on the days he said he would, but he was at least 45 minutes late both times.

Worst of all, my husband told him we really need him to fix this issue because we're having a party this weekend and our guests will need to use this new bathroom. This party was pretty much the whole reason we are having the bathroom built. He tells us that he doesn't know if he'll have time to fix everything (ALL HIS FAULT BTW) because HIS WIFE is also having a party this weekend. So his personal life comes before his business and his clients. And it doesn't matter to him that we're left SOL.

My husband and I own a business and this is NOT how you treat your customers. Again, I don't know how he gets ANY repeat clients.

On his website, he states that his company treats your home as their own.  I would hate to see their home then.

I'm beyond devastated at the situation he has left us in.  

Please don't waste your money or time with this guy. He does not know his craft/industry as well as he says he does.

Prompt, Punctual, and Professional! Came to Franklin and cleared a drain that had been slow for 2 yrs, as well as fixed 2 slow toilets. Highly recommended!

Thank you thank you! Came out within an hour. Fixed the issue fast. What plumber comes the same day you call? Greatful he did. Now I'll water in my kitchen this weekend!

Was referred to Shiver by a friend. They no call no showed and when I reached back out I received the following replies.

Called them and they were here in an hour.  Had the repair finished in an hour. Cleaned up the area better than it was before the leak. highly recommended!!

John is probably the most honest and reasonable plumber I've had the pleasure of doing business with. His integrity and hard work ethic puts him on my preferred list for plumbing. He stopped by one of my rentals after hours, worked on my old houses outdated plumbing problems and charged me a very fair price. John Shiver and Shiver Plumbing are amazing!  He has been to our home on three separate occasions for various plumbing needs.  Our home was built spec in 2005 and the builder is no longer around.  Although most of the house is in great shape some shortcuts were taken with the initial mechanicals (not the highest quality components were used).  We have had to do numerous upgrades to the existing systems.  John has been courteous, professional, on time, on budget and a joy to work with.  If you need your plumbing systems evaluated with fair and honest estimate, give John Shiver a call.  We are getting two new dishwashers sometime in Oct of '18 because the ones which came with the house are both failing.  Keep some time available for us John!  Thanks

I recently just bought a house and I had an issue with the master bathroom shower not getting hot enough. It was a simple fix but I had no idea what was the problem. John scheduled a prompt appointment, let me know when he was on his way, and arrived on time. He worked quickly, explained what was the problem and also fixed my kitchen sink. I didn't need to know that the contractor used cheap fixtures but I appreciated the honesty on the problems. I'd definitely use his services again.

John was on time, did a great job and was super nice. I would highly recommend him.

John Shiver and his helper did a great job hooking up a new water heater and expansion tank for me. The price was as quoted and they worked hard to get the job done. They had already worked a long day so when they arrived at my house it was already after 5PM but they stayed and got it done. Ahhhhh ... Hot water!

Quickly diagnosed the problem, explained what was wrong and fixed it at a reasonable price. Couldn't ask for more.

I have been trying to find a decent plumber in this town for fifteen years.  I do not know why I never stumbled onto Mr. Shiver in the past, especially since he's located only three, or so, miles away.  But, once I had him at the house, I did not pay him until he came back for two more days!  

He installed 5 faucets / drains, 4 toilets and a water heater......and, fixed a problem that has tormented me since I bought this house 15 years ago.

I will definitely call him in the future for my plumbing needs.

I am closing on my home, needed to get my water heater fixed on a tight schedule and had 2 previous plumbers unwilling to do the job before I came across John Shiver. He was very knowledgeable and positive to speak with during what could be a stressful process. He walked me through what needed to be worked on and went above and beyond to get the job done. He's very communicative which is highly appreciated for someone who is unfamiliar with plumbing verbiage.

I would recommend him to anyone needing any work done!

Moved to Nashville recently and had a clog in my kitchen drain.  I am really glad I came across John - he was great, and I will not hesitate to call him in the future if I have plumbing issues.  He was able to schedule an appointment very promptly and was able to fix the drain issue very quickly.  He was great at explaining the issue and how to prevent it in the future - he clearly takes his craft seriously and is very knowledgeable.  During the process he also provided general tips about drains and drainage and ended up helping us get parts for and install a mixing valve to solve an issue we were having getting hot water more quickly circulated to the bathrooms in the back of our house (our water heater is in the front of the house).  Highly recommend!

I was freaking out with my husband gone and frozen pipes....then a busted pipe, water spewing everywhere. Luckily, I am intelligent enough to shut off the water myself, but I was freaking out again because it was 4:00 pm on the coldest day of the year so of course plumbers are busy today. John made it out late though and was happy to help.  He quickly (less than 30 minutes) repaired our busted pipe at what I would consider and extremely reasonable price. I'm so grateful and will definitely be saving his information if anything ever happens again (which it surely will!).  

Important Sidenote:  I'm an engineer and used to inspect pipework for a living so I know what he did was solid work.

I'm new to Nashville, and this was seriously one of the best experiences I've had with local businesses since being here. And probably the best service/tradesmen I've hired, regardless of location.  Thanks again!
