We use Roscoe Brown for both our business and personally at our home. We first were using them only for our HVAC. Our warranty had run out with another company who originally installed our businesses 11 HVAC units. The company was eating out lunch with service calls and often the technicians didn't correct our issues. We finally contacted Roscoe Brown and they responded in a proper time and corrected our issue on the first time.
Then we continued having plumbing problems at a new build out and the original contractor left town and wouldn't respond to the warranty. We contacted several plumbers and finally we called Roscoe Brown and their team came out and gave us a bid and fixed our issue.
Roscoe is now our go to HVAC/Plumbing Company. They are a bit higher than the smaller companies- but they have the expertise and staff to respond with excellence.

Had great service from Logan finding a leak and replacing the pipes in the laundry room.
I could not be more disappointed with my experience with Roscoe Brown. After they had been recommended to me by two friends that I trust, I had a very bad communication issue with their Nashville office after just trying to get a bid on replacing our HVAC. Initially, I had accidentally called their Murfreesboro office. The person who answered there took my information and asked when a convenient time would be for me to meet with them, I gave them a time and she said the Nashville office would call me to confirm the appointment. I never received a call/confirmation, but the representative showed up at my house anyway. Since I had not received any further communication/confirmation, I had set up an appointment with another company during that time. The representative seemed frustrated but told me that someone from the office would call me the next day to reschedule. I never heard back from the office. I had to call back a few days later, and I set up another appointment. I arrived exactly 10 minutes late (5:10) to my house and the representative had already left, which I thought was ridiculous. When I called the next day to reschedule, the person in the office told me that I had been a no-show twice. I requested a different representative to come out for an estimate, as I didn't feel I was getting good service from him, she told me she would talk with the general manager and get back with me the next day. That was last week and I have not heard anything since.
Again, this is a huge disappointment for me. I had really wanted to use this company because I viewed them as a more local small business than most of the other hvac companies in town, as well as hearing good things from my friends. I expressed this to both the rep and the person in the office.
If it is this difficult to get a $10,000 bid on a unit from a company, I guess they do not need my business and will obviously be taking it elsewhere.
Usually pretty happy with their service. Came out a while back about problem with central heat/air. All the technician did was walk around the house. He never looked at the unit or ductwork. When asked about it he said we could sign up for maintenance plan. Pretty expensive when he didn't do anything and didn't address our problem.

Our air has been out for a couple days and they were able to send a great tech out to our residence. Dana was professional and courteous. I'm not familiar with a lot of the lingo used for things like this but Dana was able to explain to me what was going on in a way I could understand. He cleaned up our unit and got us up and running again. I really appreciate the time and effort he put into getting us going!!!
Darren G. From Roscoe Brown came to our rescue yesterday. Our AC wasn't working and we were expecting guests for dinner last night. Darren came and figured out the problem in no time. He had to leave to get a part but was back quickly and fixed our AC. It's now working perfectly. We will definitely call Roscoe Brown again if we have any heat/ac issues.
So the sticker on my air conditioning unit says Service 24/7 with a phone number for an answering service, as does my maintenance contract. Dial the number, Donnie promptly calls back. Informs me they have a new thing. They don't come out for service after 10PM unless there is water coming through the ceiling or something like that. Good to know an emergency is only what they define to be an emergency. Ignore the contracts and promises. I've been a loyal customer since we came to town in 1992. No longer. Ever since they bought Bradley Plumbing they have gone downhill. They have run off all the good techs and plumbers with their always sell them something revenue requirements. Done and done.

Murphy's Law says my plumbing problems will happen on a weekend- when I'm doing all the laundry, dishes, etc. I have learned I can call Roscoe Brown any time and Monica is always SO kind on the phone, and the techs really want to help me with my problems. Today, Chad really went above and beyond to help me get my household back in working order with a minimum of expense or invasive procedures to my home. He explained what he was doing along the way and I felt empowered, not victimized, as can sometimes happen when repairmen come to my home. I have no problem picking up the phone to call Roscoe Brown because their techs take pride in their work.

I had a complete HVAC unit and new ducts installed at my home. The lead technician, Terry Pritchett, did an amazing job. He completed the job in a timely manner. He was very respectful and went the extra mile to keep the noise down when my newborn baby slept. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Terry!

Chris J. was on time, professional & wore those booties over his shoes, so there was no mess on my floors (I really appreciated that!). It didn't take him long to diagnose the problem with my heat & give me a quote. They were going to have to order the part, but he told me he would call to tell me when I could expect it to come in. He called back within 15 minutes to let me know they picked up the part in Nashville & would have my heat fixed the same day! I will definitely be using them again.

I recently purchased a gas heater for my swimming pool. I used Roscoe Brown to install my gas lines. Dylan, and Jesse, showed up on time and got started right away. I left for work and came back at lunch. Jesse was still working and eventually completed the task. Dylan followed up by inspecting the job. Brandon met the Atmos representative as he installed the gas meter, made sure everything was safe, and did a test fire on my heater. I was 100% satisfied with the job these men did!!

Our toilet was plugged for several days and we finally called Roscoe Brown. They sent plumbers, Larry Lord and assistant Mavay out the same day. These two young men were very professional and so kind. They asked my husband what had happened and explained everything they would try and what the cost would be. Seeing my husband's disabled veterans plate on his truc, they also offered a discount. The toilet was fixed in no time at all.
The young men left and we noticed a wet spot and leak in our garage ceiling. My husband called Roscoe back and we were told as soon as the plumbers were done with their next call, they would return. When Larry and Mavay returned they needed to replace the wax ring under the toilet. They explained it can become loose from excessive plunging!
Great service from a great company and very nice young men!

Great service by the service pro Darren G. He was very knowledgeable and quickly troubleshooted my heat pump and thermostat to find out why my system was heating instead of cooling. He even explained everything to me as he worked in an easy to understand manner. Definitely would use again.
My husband & I have used RBI for over 20 years now & have always been extremely pleased with every aspect of their business. I would highly recommended them for all of their services!
Our master toilet in our new house began leaking from the base and the next day our guest bath began leaking too! We called Roscoe Brown and they were able to get someone out the same day. Our tech, Patrick, was very helpful. He was thorough in his inspection and so patient when answering our questions. Ultimately it was decided that we needed to contact a septic company to remove a clog near the septic tank. Patrick reset one of our toilet seals so we have at least one toilet that won't leak while we wait for our septic appointment. We look forward to having Roscoe Brown techs back soon to install new toilets!
Bob C was very courteous and timely. I needed a leaky garbage disposal replaced that was 20 years old and would require some sink plumbing modification. COVID cautious he gave me a few options and once I decided, he was gone to get the new disposal, back, and installed within an hour and half. Made sure I had no questions and was happy with the work before leaving. Pricing was in the range I expected.
I called them up to get a quote to unclog the toilet. They charge $69 to go to the job. I wish I could get paid to show up at work! They then charge you to do the work. They would not give me a quote without coming out. They would not even quote their hourly rate. I called Roto-Router and they told me exactly what they charge.

If I could give negative stars I would!! DO NOT USE ROSCO BROWN. We had a technician out here almost two weeks ago to look at our AC. He found a leak then charged us $300!!!! For Freon then said we will be in contact with you to schedule an appointment to have it fixed. Never called. So we called them and they couldn't find our ticket. The hell? Then they said again, we will call you with an appointment shocker, they never called. So we had to call again and they finally sent some one out to fix it. Guess what!! They couldn't fix it. So AGAIN, they said we will call to schedule an appointment to fix your leak. That was last Thursday and it's Monday and so we called to see what the hell is going on and some lady was like well, I need to call his dispatcher. So almost two weeks later and it's still not fixed. Their customer service is a joke and the only reason we are using these morons is because it's under warranty.

Good service except the tech might want to flip the outside breakers on when completing the job. Was testing system and couldn't figure out why it wasn't cooling.
This review is for Franky and the service
he provided installing my kitchen faucet. He came on time and was very informative. I knew the steps he was taking and also I am very happy he explained about Riscoe Brown's service contract for plumbing. I especially liked included was to drain my water heater once a year and if I had a water emergency, they would come right away. All in all I am very happy Franky Q came and helped me.
Brian serviced my AC units today and he was thoroughly professional and efficient. He made suggestions for future upgrades, and previously I thought it was something I would just have to live with. He answered every question as though I was his only appointment. Good work, Roscoe Brown.
I'll give 5 stars to the install team. Hard workers they where and an outstanding job. They are the ones that are the stars. The unit so far is great too. My issue was with the sales folks over promising and claiming no charge on certain items. In the end I've had to pay over 2k more then I thought I would be paying. The sales person would now own up to their commitment.

I feel the previous reviewer's pain, having done business with Roscoe Brown for over two years and $12,000 (and a pretty solid number of HVAC mishaps) now myself. Of all their issues, their communications stink. Most recently, I just spent 40 minutes on hold waiting my turn to get to a real person --- but I never got one -- while my husband called in from another phone and got through to a person. So even their phone system is messed up!
The reason we were calling this morning? Because when we called at 3:30 a.m. for emergency service, our call went unacknowledged until nearly 7:30 a.m., yet we pay extra on our annual contract to have priority access to service.
I do have to say that the people I've dealt with -- and there have been MANY -- have always been very nice and mostly knowledgeable, but we did end up with a complex HVAC system (including humidifiers and dehumidifers and extra filters) and about half the time, the guys who come out for annual service aren't familiar with the equipment. Then there's the equipment itself, but I won't go into that here. This review is only about communication.
My Roscoe Brown service tech, Mikey Tidwell, was outstanding. He was thorough with explaining the issue that caused my HVAC system to stop working in the summer heat, and repaired it right away. I had a few other AC related issues, and Mikey took the time to investigate and make the adjustments while he was here. I'm not sure if you can make requests when making a service call, but if so, ask for Mikey - he goes above and beyond.
Bob C. Did a great job on my water heater install. He laid out the best options and made solid recommendations. I didn't feel like he tried pushing me into something I didn't need. Would recommend his services again.
I had storm damage and an outside building fell on my AC unit, it was trying to run but the fan wasn't spinning.
The lady I spoke to on the phone, Monica?, was absolutely fantastic. The guy that came out to look at the unit and do the repair was perfectly fine. It turns out the dented part of the unit just needed to be hammered out, which he did.
My issue is with the billing...there is an $85 service charge for coming out. With most places, that goes towards the cost of the repair, but theirs does not apparently. So I was charged $150 total for 30 seconds of hammering
The kitchen sink in our condo clogged and after failing to clear it myself, we called Roscoe Brown. Adam G. arrived sooner than expected, even though it was Saturday. It was a difficult job with the weird plumbing in our condo but Adam persevered. Great service and very courteous.
Update to my review: My wife received a call this morning to correct the issue. That is the kind of service/follow up we were used to with Roscoe Brown. Any company willing to take the time to call their customer and discuss the issue, deserves our business. We will use them again. Thank you Roscoe Brown.
My wife called them for plumbing services. They came out and changed the stand pipe in two toilets that were running. It took the guy 20 miand he charged her $400!! Ridiculous and predatory. Will not use again.

we have been customers of Toscoe Brown for almost 50 years. They provide great service, good prices on new units, helpful advice, and even sent us a gift when we bought our last unit. we recommend them highly.
We recently had a home inspection, as we are sellibg our house.
Today we had someone come and investigate a potential issue with a drain pipe.
He was very honest, polite, and professional. He saved us a lot of money.. There were no issues with our plumbing.
I definitely would recommend them to anyone.
Called the service line about 30 minutes ago since the blower on our A/C unit was not working and was promptly told nothing could be done until Monday unless we wanted to pay double the price. I can understand an upcharge at the hottest times of the year, but double the price is beyond ridiculous. To top it off, the girl on the phone had no compassion or concern in her voice whatsoever. You guys have lost a customer for life and I'll make sure to never recommend you to anyone again. Safe to say we have someone else coming out to repair this and they're not doubling the price. Shame on you!
We had a kitchen faucet and bathroom faucet that were becoming loose. Rather than tackling these ourselves and potentially messing them up, we called Roscoe Brown in Murfreesboro. They were quick to set up an appointment. On the appointment day, the technicians arrived at our home early after a courtesy call from the company. They were able to fix each faucet in no time! They charged a very reasonable price. We were 100 percent pleased with the service.
I highly recommend Roscoe Brown for both installation and maintenance of home HVAC units. I've had excellent service with their tune-up and maintenance of my units and most recently with a replacement due to a freon leak on a 20 year old split unit. They exceeded my expectations though out the entire process (sales thru installation). Dennis was extremely pleasant, informative, and professional on the sales side. He was non pressure and took time explaining the options, features, and prices. On the installation side, Manuel and Hayden performed a tremendous job, I can't say enough good things about their quality, professionalism, and attention to detail as if they were installing at their own home. They both explained the work they were doing and answered all my questions. Hayden performed an awesome job on the installation of the outside compressor, paying close attention to aesthetics, functionality, and code. Manuel went above and beyond by going in extreme detail regarding all the work he performed installing the air handler in my attic along with the safety features and what to check in between their tune-ups. He also explained how to use the new smart thermostat ensuring I was comfortable with it's operation. They both also performed a great job on the removal of my old equipment. When the time comes to replace my second unit, I will definitely use Roscoe Brown again along with requesting Manuel and Hayden.
If you need honest service and competitive pricing call Roscoe Brown. My upstairs AC cooling unit starting blowing hot... I called a few different AC repair companies. One, who advertises on the radio all the time and has a BIG presence quoted $99 (as of this writing) to come out and run a check on my system. I asked if they could estimate a price if all it needed was recharging... they would not quote a price and I was told I would have to wait until the repairman came out and told me. Hmmm, that's like rolling the dice.
Then I spoke to Pam, in service, at Roscoe Brown. She quoted me $69 for a service check and explained how much they charge for refilling the Freon based on a per pound cost. This gave me a lot more confidence in what my bill may be assuming that was the only problem.
Brian, the service tech, came out and immediately discovered a capacitor was blown. This was sounding like an easy fix. After replacing it and then checking the Freon pressure my compressor kicked off after a couple of minutes running. Not good. Brian pulled the fuse and reset it and the compressor came back on but kicked back off after a couple of minutes.
Here is an educational moment.... (The compressor needed replacing) a new compressor for that small unit was right at $1,500 not including installation. Gulp!
I remembered Pam had informed me that brand had a 5 year Manufacturer's warranty; however, I bought my home and closed in August of 2006... Here it is June of 2011... 4 years and 10 months. What do you think the Manu is gonna say? Pam checked and they said the unit had been put in service earlier than that (my house was new when I moved in) but Pam said she would go to bat for me.
I spoke to Pam a few days later and she had contacted the Register of Deeds and acquired my closing documents to show when we actually took possession of this brand new home. She prevailed! And the compressor was covered under the warranty!
I was quoted $700 to replace the compressor, pump down the system, refill the system with new Freon and a new dryer was installed.
The bill came to $775 on the invoice. I paid but then called Pam and politely asked for a net of $700 for the bill and she promptly agreed to remove the original service charge.
This is the kind of company that makes you want to write a positive review. Any company could have whined about it not being their fault and it was 'out of their hands' and basically forced me to purchase a new compressor. Because she got on my side I have a serious affinity for their company.... and you should too.

Hany came out to our house for a diagnostic on our HVAC. He cleaned out our duct work and provided photos to show how dirty it was and how clean it was after he was done. We could tell a difference in our air circulation almost immediately. He was very polite and professional. Will definitely recommend them for service in the future.

I highly recommend using this company from the initial call to the actual repair this company was exceptional. The office staff was eager to help and Jacob and Mabry were incredibly knowledgeable and professional. They were able to fix my issue at a very reasonable cost. I will be using them for my plumbing and hvac needs.
STAY AWAY!!
If there were a 0 star option, I would use it. Roscoe Brown installed an HVAC Unit in November. In May, the unit failed. They sent someone out to fix it and they found a part that was installed correctly and another that wasn't installed at all. They fixed it and the unit began working - for 3 days.
Clearly the unit was installed incorrectly. When it failed again, they came back out and explained that someone had put an anti-leak agent in the HVAC unit, which voided the warranty. They failed to take any responsibility for the poorly-installed HVAC unit, which had already exhibited other problems (parts missing, faulty parts). They refused to fix it, claiming that it was no longer under warranty.
The manager I spoke to yelled at me several times during our 35 minute phone call, in which he continually tried to pass responsibility off to some other service provider. No one else has serviced the unit.
DO NOT use Roscoe Brown under any circumstances. Bad management, bad customer service, bad products.
AC stopped working over the weekend, called Roscoe Brown 8 AM Monday morning, Technician arrived at 4:20 PM, about 40 minutes before it got dark. He found the problem straight away, a bad condenser motor. He had to go get the replacement motor, and was gone about 45 minutes. While he was off getting the motor, I Googled the motor, I got the model number from the old motor and found the exact same motor for $80 + $8 for shipping. The technician returned with the new motor and installed in in about 30 minutes. I was charged $570, $70 for the service call and $500 for the motor replacement. You figure it out.
I complained to the service manager and he refunded $150.

Johnny, Terry, and Brandon did exceptional work on a large HVAC installation project that took place over 3 weeks. Their attention to detail and quality were a priority. They kept me well informed and picked up after their work. They provided me with details of how the systems worked. They delivered what they promised.
