The actual work was good, however the service was horrible. The first day, Michael, the plumber was almost two hours late, today he was over two hours late. While there were storms today, what was his reason for being so late the first visit?
When he arrived on Tuesday, he stood in the front door way. We had already given up on him coming and let the cat roam around the house. I asked him to please close the door three times and he ignored me. The fourth time, after I asked, he finally decided to shut the door after I started to reach around to shut it.
The concept of shutting the door must have evaded him again. He let the storm door flap in the wind and it broke off the frame. I discovered it was broken when I heard something hitting the side of the house near our patio and found the bottom of the door had broken away. He never said anything about this to us, even when I commented on it and tied the door shut with a yoga strap until I can get someone out here to replace it.
The young woman who answers their phone does not want to hear complaints and hung up on me mid-sentence when I called to see if he was coming this morning. I messaged them via FB. No response.
It was later this afternoon when we noticed he'd left the heavy lid off the water meter/on-off valve. A fitting coda for dealing with someone we will never hire again.
