We specialize in general plumbing repairs for homes and businesses, such as toilets, faucets, water pressure, pipe issues, & clogs. We also repair and replace water heaters and garbage disposals. We have an HVAC division that repairs heating and air conditioning units, including heat pumps.

HISTORY


Established in 1986.
Morton Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling's owner and founder, Jimmy Morton, is an authentic native Nashvillian. He started out working for a couple of small plumbing companies & soon branched out on his own. Jimmy says, I went in business (for myself) because I felt like I could control the quality. In 1986, he started Morton Plumbing with one employee, himself. Jimmy claims he has no regrets in taking this step and at the time had no fear. He welcomed the risk and the challenge of running his own plumbing company. He did not have to advertise because he knew so many local Nashvillians, and they knew him. Here's how the phone calls would go, I need Jimmy to come over and fix my plumbing. Morton Plumbing was quickly known for the quality of its work. Within a couple of months Jimmy added a second plumber to help handle the workload. Currently, Morton Plumbing has a staff of 10, including his son and step-son. I love life and love helping people with plumbing and HVAC issues.

Mortons recently changed out an air unit still in operation after 18 years. We spelled a burning smell, and that is why we had it changed out. They did a great job and installed a unit one step larger than the old unit. The problem is, the units they make today are all about efficiency so it (The Unit) was not as powerful as the old one even being larger. We complained to Mortons. Even though it was out of their control they did make it right. Needless to say we will continue to use them as we have for all of our plumbing and AC needs

I have worked with this service twice- once when my water heater went out on a Saturday night and more recently, when all 3 toilets needed a repair along with the 2 outside faucets. Very responsive, showed up at appointment time, fair prices & excellent work.

Well, I would have liked to give a review about the service, because when the owner came by for my estimate, he was friendly, professional, and got the estimate back to me promptly.  It was a reasonable fee.  But I have had so much trouble dealing with the phone staff that I have to pass on them.  I really don't want to be lectured by a phone answerer when I am about to hand over close to a thousand dollars.  I need three jobs done, and I have been getting different answers from different people on the phones about getting the estimate done.  Like I said, the estimate I received was reasonable.   But it was incomplete.  After two weeks of being told Mr. Morton does the estimates over and over again, I assumed that this means he would, you know, do the estimates.  I am only today learning that he only does SOME of them, and that other people do other kinds of estimates.  I also got a bit of an attitude that implied I should have known that they run their business this way.  It was a little insulting.  I do not expect my customers to understand the ins and outs of my business.  It is my responsibility to make sure they know what to expect.

All I want to do is pay to have my kitchen and toilets repaired.  I too have a business to run and need to get this done.  I was happy to wait for as long as it has taken, but now I'm told they cannot get anyone out here to finish the estimate until NEXT week.  I cannot wait another week just to finish the estimates.  I would like to begin the work next week.  Regretfully I will be staring the whole process over with a new company.  It's not what I want to do, but I'm left with a sour taste in my mouth after the way I was treated on the phone.

I found Morton Plumbing here on Yelp, and I am now a very happy new customer.

I decided that I wanted a new kitchen sink, and considering the hack job the previous homeowner had done on some of the renovations before we bought the place, I decided it would be best done by a professional.

Pro tip: Call to schedule your appointment, don't use the web form. I initially was a little off put by Morton; I attempted to use the web form to schedule my appointment and I never received a call back. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called back a bit later; they scheduled me an appointment for the next day.

Thank god I did, because when I woke up the next morning my hot water heater was doing its best fire hydrant impression. After I managed to cut off the water, I called Morton. They detailed a second plumber to come out and handle the hot water heater install, all on just a few hours' notice.

I won't go into detail on every interaction, but there were several suggestions made to me about the sink, hot water heater, and a few other plumbing questions I had; Most of them actually saved me money rather than costing more. The few things they suggested that were more expensive were for good reason. It's rare to find an honest plumber it seems these days, so kudos to Morton.

They don't bill by the hour, they bill by the job, so while they may seem a little more expensive upfront, if the job takes longer than expected you don't have to pay extra. AWESOME!

Also, they warranty most of their work for 6 years; if you develop leaks, they'll come do the repairs free of charge.

In short, if you have plumbing issues, Morton should be your first call.

Good, professional job, but pricey.  They price out the work they intend to do on an invoice, which you sign ahead of time, like a car mechanic. Unlike a car mechanic, their prices are not particularly based on time. To give an idea, about 2 hrs to remove and replace a couple of pipes cost $475 -- $75 max could have been parts, but probably much less. I am pleased with the work, but I should have done the research to find a good handyman.

Morton Plumbing is simply awesome.  One of my friends forced me at knife point (no joke!) to help him renovate a rental property that he had acquired thorough family.  The bathroom was so messed up and nasty, we decided that it was best to gut the whole thing.  Fortunately, Morton Plumbing were the people that he enlisted to help us do the work.  They were invaluable, and were able to set up piping for the sink and he even ended up buying the fixtures through Morton at a great price.  Morton was trustworthy and diligent about showing up on time, hence the five star review from me.

Called Morton plumbing for a second opinion about our broken 80 year-old tub pipes. The other company (which also does flooring, tile, remodeling, etc.) said that in order to fix the pipes, they had to remove the floor and the tub, which would mean new floor, new tub and re-tiling walls and even taking out the window. The receptionist at Morton said Mr. Morton could come that day and take a look, for no charge. He said the problem could be fixed from underneath, without disturbing the floor at all, and his detailed estimate emailed the next day was a tiny fraction of the other company's. Work was done on time and exactly as stated. It was a hard job getting at the problem via a tiny crawlspace, but they did it. I especially appreciate the extra time one of the guys took trying to minimize damage to the wall (old plaster under tile). We will definitely call Morton first next time we need plumbing help.

Had a great experience with Morton Plumbing. I requested help with a hot water issue and a dripping faucet, and they were able to send out a plumber within a few days. The plumber was SO knowledgeable, experienced and helpful. He figured out the issue very quickly, talked me through what he was doing and why, and he cleaned up as he went. You never would have known he was here. I won't hesitate to call Morton Plumbing again should the need arise!

Morton is a family owned and operated company.  The two sons work for their father.  They were able to come right out for a busted water heater.  I purchased the water heater myself and they installed it for a $450 flat rate.  That's not cheap, but I liked that they quoted me the price up front (no hidden charges) and it included everything.  I recently had another plumbing company charge me as much for a drippy faucet.  No joke.  Morton told me the cost up front and I appreciate that!

They arrived on time, were very friendly and worked quickly.  Apparently one of the sons went to school for HVAC, so I will likely call them the next time I need something fiddled with there.

And I cannot forget to thank the wonderful lady at the front desk who was so helpful when I called back a couple times to ask questions...it was my first time replacing a  hot water heater, so I didnt know the drill...plus, after my experience with the other plumber, I was once bit, twice shy!

I will certainly be entrusting my plumbing work to them as they seem very customer service oriented.

I have to say - and I say this very sincerely - I have never had better customer service in my life than with my recent experience with Morton. We had an AC unit die last month and I called Morton, who sent technicians out that afternoon. The men were not able to make the repair by the end of that work day, and Mr. Morton himself called me and truly went above and beyond to make the situation right. The next day, a brand new unit was installed and works perfectly. The installation crew was incredibly courteous and professional and again, I cannot say enough good things about this company, its' owner and the way they do business.

I scheduled an appointment to have a leaking shower head repaired. Since I travel for work, I took a day off from work to be present for their arrival. They never showed nor did they call. I called them twice and I was transferred to voicemail. I left a message but have not heard back. Very unreliable. I do not recommend.

I love these guys. They are responsive and professional and honest. I recently had an issue with a broken water main in my yard. They came out and repaired it. A couple of weeks later, there was a leak in the water main in another place in the yard. They fixed that for no charge. They could have easily claimed that the leaks were two separate and unrelated issues, and they may have been two separate issues. They treated it as one, though, and came out and repaired the second leak at no charge. Good people.

Great service. Got new washer and dryer. Delivery Guys from hhgreg suggested I needed to replace plumbing before they could remove old machines and hoes. Sim from Morton's helped me with things delivery guys from hhgreg wouldn't and didn't try to sell me the idea of replacing my washer and dryer plumbing as the delivery guys suggested. Honest and efficient service.

Jimmy sent Tim over to replace my whole house water pump. He made me a fair quote for a replacement pump. When the new pump turned out to be heavier-duty and more expensive, he stuck to his original quote. The work was done quickly. Tim was a nice guy. Courteous and informative. I recommend these guys.

They were able to fix multiple issues, the kitchen sink and showers work great now. Clogged shower drain took a second trip but they took care of it with no extra charge.

Be sure to get quote up front before work is completed. Invoice for multiple jobs was higher than I expected.

We had the worst rattling of our pipes and water heater you could possibly imagine. Sounded like a volcano was about to erupt in our house at any minute. Rick came out to the house, found a way to quiet the noise by a simple pressure adjustment, but he knew there was more to the problem than just the pressure. He got under the house and saw the main line was vibrating violently and knew right away that the problem was not our plumbing, but a bigger issue with Metro. We went over to our meter box and discovered it was completely filled with water. Despite the below freezing temperatures, Rick stuck his hand in to verify there was a leak and that it was not coming from our side. He made a phone call to Metro, told them there was an emergency, and the next thing we knew the Metro crew was digging up the road!

Took Metro a few hours to fix their leak, but once the work was done, the vibrating and noise stopped. And all it cost us was $49! We will absolutely use Rick and anyone else from Morton for all our plumbing needs!

A month ago, our sewer ejector pump overflowed while I was taking a shower. We thought it was covered under our home warranty so we got stuck with whoever they sent out, which was Hers and His Plumbing. Turns out it was not covered, but since they were already there and said it was just the float switch and the pump was working fine, we were like fine fix it. That lasted about a month, and sure enough I was taking a shower, the toilet started bubbling, and the pump overflowed again! We learned our lesson, and called Morton's because we knew you guys had won Best of Nashville and had great reviews on Yelp. Josh and someone else I can't remember (sorry!) came to our house Saturday the 16th and listened to our story, and then went downstairs to check the pump. Long story short, whoever reno'd our basement knew nothing apparently and the pump was not large enough or strong enough to pump everything up and out of our house! They took one look at it and knew that was the problem. And there was also no check valve to prevent back flow! Josh came back on Thursday and installed a whole new pump, vent, and check valve for us and its only been a week, but it's been running great and we can finally use our bathroom! And, this new bigger and more powerful one is quieter than whatever we had in there before! Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping us! Ever since we moved into this house the downstairs bathroom has been the bane of my existence but hopefully we will never have this problem again! If you need any plumbing issues fixed, call Morton's FIRST! We could have saved ourselves some money the first time!

They did the works. So I give them at least 2 starts. But they are charging very high prices.
I have changed kitchen sink so pipes under the sink need to be re-do and disposal needs to be re-connected. Asked them to quote the work. The plumber told me $300+ for the work or I need to pay $49 for the visit. The work was finished in one hour. So they are charging $300+ per hour.
I also asked them how much it costs to remove and install a new toilet. They said $275. I have asked some other companies and most of them replied $150. And the installation was perfectly done by another company. So Morton is charging far more than market price. Will never use them again.

Just want to highly recommend Morton's.  It has been HOT in Nashville the last 2 weeks. Got home from work and it was 87 degrees in my house.   Called Morton's was told when they would be out.  Yes it was a few days, but sometimes in life you just have to wait your turn.  Sim arrived on time, checked the unit, determined it had Never been cleaned.  Took care of it right away, added a little freon, and charged a more than fair price.  He was awesome!  Will be calling again in the fall for heater checkup.

What the heck?  I just gave a plumber a 5-star rating.  

We have a kitchen sink that likes to clog.  Doesn't matter what we do or do not put down it, it just sometimes likes to quit on us.  Which is a pretty damn big problem considering that the dishwasher drains into that line and the washing machine is behind it in the drain process.  I've gotten better over the years at fixing it myself; I've got a 25-foot snake that generally fixes the problem, but not when the clog is past 25 feet...

Before I figured out that it really isn't that hard to fix with the right tools, we encountered some really, really bad plumbers:

To give you an idea of what happened with the bad guys, it cost us well over $400, the technicians were scummy, took hours and hours because they didn't bring the right equipment and tried to sell my wife $80 Liquid Pumr.  Hiller cost us $250, but they had to come out three times in rapid succession, so the total bill was $750 and they never provided a lasting solution.

So, when I ran into problems recently and couldn't fix it myself, I called these guys.  Their technician arrived when the dispatcher told me he would and he was courteous and wore those little boots to keep from messing stuff up.  He didn't treat me like a jackass when I explained what I had already done to try and fix the problem and he told me up front what the whole affair was likely to cost me.

45 minutes or so later, he had fixed the clog and presented me with a bill for $150, or exactly what he told me that it was going to cost me.  He also explained what he had done and told me that if it reclogged in the short term, he would come back out and remedy the situation for free.

This week I got a thank-you card from the company.  That's some damn good service.

Morton plumbing gets five stars. Our gas water heater went out Friday morning, I called Morton and Rick was out before 11am.
He checked it out and saw it was 11 years old. Time to replace.
Rick gave us an installed price which was very good. No hourly fees.
Before 4 pm we had a new water heater installed and working.
Morton is our to go to plumber from now on!

We didn't end up requiring their work because our issue was an appliance issue, not a plumbing one, but I was really happy with the scheduling of a visit and the knowledge of the two guys that came out to the house. We paid $50 for their visit but that will be deducted from any future call or work we have done by the company.

Charges were unreasonable and excessive for services rendered. We thought it was a complicated repair. It was utterly simple & took less than 1/2 hour. Though we were given 2 choices on how to pay, no information was given about how difficult/simple repair would be. So, owner knew we were in the dark. And, obviously, used that opportunity to rook us. Morton refused to adjust amount, giving umpteen excuses. He charged highest repair charge on the scale, and seemed to enjoy rooking us. When speaking to him, he (1) Disparaged the services, accreditation, and experience of other, good plumbers; and ( 2) Retaliated by increasing charges after talking to him. Owner is NOT professional; will rook you by charging the highest rate he possibly can, and thus, lacks character. This is not someone you want in your house. Will return to several other previous plumbers who are reasonable and fair-minded. I have had several great, experienced and kindly plumbers who discuss the work to be done, and make the situation fair for the customer. BROOKS and many others are much better. Do not go to Morton.

A blower motor went out on my AC unit during a freak Autumn heat wave. Sim and Justin came out the following day.  I was impressed by their genuine character and solid work ethic but could they fix the AC unit? Yes, they did, the same day, and at a fair price.  But what happened next is what  has earned my future business and recommendation.  When they replaced the motor, later that day after they'd left, a second, completely different motor failed. (There are two motors in my unit.)  I don't know if it was coincidence or a result of the work that was performed, but the next morning I called up Morton's again. Sim came back out, stood by his work, and replaced the second motor, free of charge.  This is how you do business. Thank you

Called Friday and made an appointment for Monday 10 am. They call Monday morning and tell us they had made mistake in the scheduling and they wouldn't be there until  2 pm . When the guy gets there I show him the two showers that I wanted fixed. He says it's too late in the day to start a job like that spends 15 minutes filing out the bill. Charges me $49 for his showing up , hands me an estimate for $700 and says they can't get to it until Thursday. I told him never mind , called somebody else who will be there Wednesday and will do it for half that price. A poorly managed company that is trying to rob its customers. Save the $49 and call someone else

This is the second time I used Morton since 2018. In fact, I just found a Yelp review that  I submitted back then and today, I wouldn't  change one word as they were just as superb! JOSH, family owner and Tim came,  and together did great! I trust them because I know if I needed them to return for any reason they would and ASAP! How often do we hope for anyone servicing our homes to simply be on time,  courteous,  interested in doing what you need, as well as competent? OFTEN!

We recently had multiple bath, laundry and wet bar fixtures replaced and Morton Plumbing did a fabulous job. Prompt, efficient and VERY  responsive.  Jimmy Morton came over to walk through the work plans and gave great advice on several plumbing issues we were having which helped us save money in the long haul.  Ive never met a more honest, hard working team   I HIGHLY  recommend

I put a bunch of meat down the garbage disposal, and it backed up really nasty, including the dishwasher. Usually I can handle this kind of thing but this time I couldn't, I couldn't get the snake in, and drano didn't really work either, the clog was probably about 25 feet down the drain.  I called Morton in the morning, they were able to come at 1 PM that day when I was free from work.  The guy ran the snake from the roof vent, which worked very well, he ran it the full length of the cable, 50 feet, to clear out the whole drain not just the clog.  Worked fine.  Guy was very professional, respectful, no games, etc.  It was VERY expensive, almost $300 for maybe an hour and a half, but they did a good job, and I would probably use them again.

When my AC and dishwasher went out in the same week, my neighbor recommended Morton Plumbing. I am so glad she did. Sim and Justin came out, and they figured it out pretty quickly. They told me what was wrong with the AC and how much it would be to fix it. They checked the dishwasher for plumbing issues and identified the problem. It ended up being a part that needs to be replaced, so they referred me to an appliance repair company. Their prices were fair (much less than the last plumber I hired for more work) and they were true professionals and dedicated to their work. I love that it is a small, family-owned, local business. I also love that they explain what they are doing and what they are charging. They don't try to do repairs you don't need to pad the bill, which is my chief complaint with a lot of service providers. If you need a plumber, you should definitely give them a call.

Completely unreliable.  
Pulled a no show on the coldest day of the year.  I made an appointment because heat was not working properly.  They were supposed to come from 12-3.  It's 5pm on Friday now.  They don't answer the phone. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and now I'm forced to get another company to come out and I'll be charged the emergency/weekend rate...if I can find someone.

Morton Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling, Inc. to the rescue AGAIN!  I wish I could give them 10 stars for their great work. There is almost nothing worse than a plumbing problem, except an air conditioner that stops working when the heat index is 98 degrees! I called and left a message late Friday night when the temperature in my home hit 80 degrees. I got a call Saturday morning and by 9:30 a.m. my AC was fixed!  I give them my highest recommendation.  We have called them in the past for plumbing work and received equally fast and efficient repairs.  This is the company you want to call if you need a plumber or HVAC repair or replacement.

OK in terms of AC work.  I have a rental prop where I did have 1 job they did for plumbing and they basically corrected what another company didn't fix right; so I have faith in them with plumbing.  But with AC work,  I expected a better outcome knowing that they are 'middle of the road' prices.  They are local and family run which I support.  I replaced an old unit from '84 and everything seemed good until a few months later in winter time; it went out.  They did everything they could to come out and correct the problem to make it run again.  Then it went out again a week later and they came a second time to fix it for good.  Well, a couple weeks later I came out to inspect and found barely any air floor in the downstairs vents.  They came out and made that a bit better.  Thankfully there's a 1-yr warranty they did honor, because they had to come out again about that time to fix something with the ducts.  I would def use them again for plumbing but def do NOT recommend for AC work.

I've had them come out twice. Each time the costs were reasonable, & service was good. They were able to take a debit card (I don't carry checks anymore). They were polite and courteous and cleaned up after themselves. They even sent me a thank you card by postal. How about that!

I'd use them again, but hopefully I won't have to too often. :)

BTW: I also read some of the not recommended reviews. Several -- if not most -- of those are actually complimentary. The reviewers did not click on the stars, so Yelp thinks the reviewer was low balling them, but the reviewer comments indicate otherwise.

I found Morton Plumbing via Yelp and I could not have been happier.  I called and a human being answered the phone! Karen was courteous and very pleasant.  She was able to schedule me an appointment the very next day.  Karen called (as she said she would) first thing in the morning to confirm that someone was on the way ... Dwayne arrived promptly and could not have been nicer.  He calmly and thoroughly conducted a CSI investigation of why my outside hose bibs were not working.  The problem was not straight forward but he discovered the solution in no time.  He also fixed 2 other situations that I asked him about (a slow draining bathroom sink, and a smelly kitchen sink!  Needless to say, I was very happy.  Like I mentioned, Dwayne and Karen were great and I would recommend Morton Plumbing and would happily call upon them again.  Great customer service AND competent serv

Simson came to repair a gas pipe that I wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible. Within 30 minutes he was at my place. There was an awkward smell in my house of the gas. When Simson came, he told me that the gas pipe has become loose. He checked all the connections after the repair to prevent any kind of risk. He was very experienced and generous. He further told me the precautions to be necessarily taken under such circumstances as it can be dangerous if not overcome at right time. Thanks a lot Simson for your help.  Appreciate your work and the company's!

I saw some good reviews on Nextdoor.com and called Morton at 9:15am when our gas hot water heater quit working. They were able to come quickly and were patience as I contacted the manufacturer to find out if the heater was still under warranty. It was, and Morton's techs were able to work with AO Smith (the manufacturer) to obtain the part free of charge. By 12:30, they had fixed it, charging $250 for labor, which I though was reasonable for coming, going to retrieve the part, returning and fixing it. Dwane and his assistant were nice, were careful to not track in rain and mud, and left the area clean.

Had them come to fix our shower drain. Very pleased with their service. Technicians are pleasant and professional and the dispatch service is friendly and reliable. A great option for plumbing work. I'll use them again when something else goes wrong.

You know when you get a plumber you are typically worried that they are going to lay the pipe to your backside...and not in a good way. So when I needed some plumbing work I asked around and Morton Plumbing was suggested.

I have used Morton now for plumbing issues at least 3 or 4 times and for a heating/cooling issue once. They have always shown up during the time window, they have always given me a price quote up front, and they have always made sure the job was completed correctly. Additionally, they treat their repeat customers right and it makes me 100% more likely to continue using them. For example:

My upstairs heating/cooling unit was dripping water, so I had to turn it off. I called and they did not have openings until the next week and it was oh, only 100 degrees outside. What did they do? Made a full effort to work me in the next day because there's no way you can be in your house without air conditioning.

Another example: my downstairs toilet was clogged just in time for my annual New Year's Eve party. Someone came to look at it and realized he was going to need another person with him in order to fix it and it would possibly be New Year's Eve day before they could do this. Cutting it close! But he told the scheduler that I was having a party and should try and fit me in on Friday so we wouldn't be cutting it so close to the party. So they fit me in and had it fixed well prior to NYE.

It is so relieving to find a plumbing company that is honest, reliable, and provides excellent customer service without screwing you over price-wise!

Today, first time had Morton Plumbing come. Discovered them online while searching for Nashville area Plumbers.
Disclaimer: The real test of any company is how they respond if something goes wrong.  So, not sure how they will be if something goes wrong.
    However, TODAY THEIR SERVICE WAS SUPERB!
1. They wore no cologne as I requested and had their own clean shoe covers w/out being begged to put on (Karen remembered to mention the cologne which meant a lot).
2. 2 men came, Josh and Isaiah, and WERE ON TIME AND KAREN CALLED BEFORE TO SAY ON WAY as promised; plus on the snow day, she called early that morning to say would have to reschedule; rather than I have to call them.
3. THEY ANSWERED all ?'s, allowed me to sit and watch w/out telling me: I know what I am doing so you can go and do your thing. Rather, Josh said, you are paying, pull up a chair and ask away and watch.
4. Worked so cleanly, carefully, and competently.
5. Love that they deduct the come out fee from total if you use them.
6. And gave me estimates, for other things in future in writing.
Love them and praying all their hard work holds and if not they will stand by it, as Jimmy the manager promised when called to schedule.

We had three different plumbers from other companies come to investigate water puddles I had found in the basement before calling Morton Plumbing. None of the others could figure out what was wrong. Rick from Morton Plumbing quickly diagnosed the problem, found the leak in the pipe behind the shower handle, and was able to fix it. Professional, honest, and good at their jobs. They will definitely be the first company I call if I have a plumbing problem in the future.

Very professional and timely service! These guys fixed my leaking shower faucet after I made the unfortunate mistake of using someone who came highly recommended on a local neighborhood FB page.  Mr 'Highly Recommended' made the problem worse and left me with out water for a week during the Christmas holidays.
After calling Morton Plumbing I had running water and repairs complete in just a few hours. Quoted price was reasonable and ended up saving me over $200 in a new faucet system.
Wonderful, friendly service and people. Highly recommend!

When our hot water heater needed to replaced, we decided to have a tankless water heater installed.  Rick and Joe had to solve several placement issues in locating the tank to allow proper ventilation, and for electrical and gas connections.  By observing the finished project you can see that they are skilled and proficient in their trade.  We appreciate their work and the service provided at our home by Morton Plumbing over several years.

Morton Plumbing came out to replace the old pipes in our 1940's era home with new PEX pipes. As far as I can tell, they did a great job in that regard. However: Immediately after they completed their work, we noticed that the toilet in one of the bathrooms they had been working in was no longer functioning (it was working just fine before they came).

I called Morton and asked them to come back and fix the problem, with the understanding that the problem was an indirect result of the previous work they had done. Low and behold, I received an additional bill in the mail the next day to the tune of ~$150... I called their office to discuss the situation, and they were quite rude about the whole thing.

These guys are the real deal.  They are honest, straightforward, and do the work without the hard sell of so many other plumbing contractor/salespeople.  

We have a rather complicated water heater set up consisting of a somewhat unusual atmospheric combustion/power vented exhaust unit. We got quotes all over the very upper end of the price range from 3 other plumbing companies big and small. It became apparent that 2 of the guys had little experience with what they were looking at with our system and so they priced their quotes to cover their inexperience...and big company #3 got it but was so high all I can figure is greed/high overhead. Morton was the only one who got what our set up was and didn't want an exorbitant sum to install the system.  I'll note that my research showed that our original unit failed prematurely due to an initial improper installation, and Jimmy Morton immediately recognized this issue during his site survey.  His crew (Jimmy's son and another plumber) showed up on time after a phone call check-in to be sure we were ready for them, and the work was done quickly and with a high level of craftsmanship-clean solder joints, well routed pipes, everything neat and well planned, and a high quality heater (no off brands) properly installed according the the manufacturer's directions.  I hope I don't have plumbing issues in the future, but if I do Morton Plumbing will be who I call for service.

My new go-to guys.

I called Morton Plumbing, for an estimate, after becoming extremely dissatisfied with a very large plumbing/electrical/HVAC company based out of Franklin (white trucks, red lettering) & saw their excellent reviews.   Morton is a smaller, family owned & local company & they did not disappoint. I called during the polar vortex of 2014 & they were overwhelmed with frozen pipes.  It took them a couple days to get to us, but understandable.  When they did come, they were friendly, professional, energetic, and obviously looking out for MY best interest, as a customer. That is something I definitely did not get from the other company.  Their estimates for two 50-gallon water heaters, with rerouted plumbing came in $1300 below my previous plumber's estimate (who was unwilling to re-plumb them - or return my calls).

Today, I smelled a gas leak & thought it was from the new hot water heaters.  Morton came quickly, and diagnosed the problem was not with the water heaters, but with my FURNACE, sitting in closet near the water heaters, & did not charge me for my mistake.  They turned the gas off to the furnace for me.

Now awaiting that other company.  If only Morton did HVAC too.

5 stars for the second time.  I had two broken outdoor spigots about 3 months apart.  Solid, quick, and professional work.  The lead time was very quick and they arrived well within the block of time.  They were in and out in a flash and had everything buttoned up when they left.  Can't speak more highly of them.  Tough to find good plumbers, I will never need to look again.  Thanks Morton Plumbing.

Excellent customer service and work quality. Had to have a drain pipe replaced underneath our shower. Had several quotes and all were around the same price point. We liked the folks from Morton the best. The job ended up taking slightly longer than they thought but the price stayed the same and the end result was perfect. We have recommended them to my inlaws and we would definitely use this company again. I think the family business aspect came through again after the work was done when we received a thank you card. That was a nice touch.

We love Mortons! My dad recommended them to us for a slow draining toilet and they were great! They have also fixed both of our bathtub drains, installed a pressure regulation valve, snaked our drains to the street when we had a systemic problem, and evaluated my husbands instillation of our new water heater, all on different occasions. They are always kind, prompt and professional. Their prices are very fair. They are not cheap but neither is their work. My dad has also used them many times on a house that's 150 years old and both his rental properties. We will always use them and only them.

We own an older home and are in the process of fixing it up. Being a younger home owner, I'm sometimes worried about being taken advantage of.

We are working on laying a patio and in the process ran into a drain we weren't sure how to deal with. We received several opinions but finally opted to get a professional one.

Tim from Morton Plumbing came out to our house and checked out our situation. He was so friendly and helpful. He explained exactly what we were dealing with and gave us an option for how to work around it ourselves or a very, very reasonable quote for Morton to come out and do the work.

I was so thankful for his help and will definitely be using Morton for any plumbing needs in the future.

**Updated: We had Tim back out to the house to do some minor maintenance to our toilet and garbage disposal. Again, very professional, courteous, punctual, and fair. We're so glad to have a plumbing company we can trust.
