I would recommend this company to anyone who asks! Very courteous; I had a tech come out when my heat/ac quit working- they showed me the issues, and gave me options - I knew I had been living on borrowed time (home warranty program, band aides- would not replace the system).   I realized immediately I'd have to replace this system, the tech replaced the part for the heat at no additional cost to me and my AC was so bad he turned it off (it was a week that we needed both heat and A/C). He immediately had me schedule a visit with Chris to go over my options.   When choosing my new Hvac Chris was straightforward and did not attempt to upsell me. He gave me options and his opinion on the best for my home, and it was the least expensive. I had done research in advance and their pricing is in line with the average.  This is a company that stands behind their products, installations and you get awesome warranties and service.  You can get units for less, but you won't have the ongoing service or guarantee that it is installed properly and will meet warranty standards.  I am perplexed by the negative reviews, and cannot believe folks actually experienced those scenarios from this company. I am looking forward to my continued relationship with this company and their twice a year tune ups and checks.

Very prompt service, and they stand behind the products they install. They gave me several options when my HVAC unit was out of order, and followed up without any hassle when I had an unforeseen issue (old breaker, not a problem with their work) shortly after installation. All technicians have been courteous and professional from day one.

They should really have their guys looking more professional. A guy showed up at my home and I didn't open the door because of how he was dressed. This company could indeed use some professional upgrade.

These guys are great! The people I've spoken to in the office and the two plumbers I've dealt with have been extremely polite and helpful. I had my whole house water filtration serviced by them recently. The plumber did a great job, did above what was expected as well. They came out to check on some appliances a few days later that weren't functioning properly that I thought were related to the earlier service. It was not related, they did not charge me a cent and also made sure all was working perfectly. I did not feel when they did my service that I was overcharged at all. They went above and beyond the call. I'm very impressed and very happy to have found them!

Responsive but very, very expensive. Understand after the fact they over charged me but they know you cant say no when your house is hot. I shouldve known better and shame on me for making a poor decision. Guess that happens when your suffering from over heating. Wouldnt trust this company in the future and recommend others to get other estimates even if you wait a day. It could save you several hundred dollars!!!!   ....Shame shame.

Just moved into a new home and had a tune up done to my a/c unit. I found out about Mid-State by receiving a FREE tune up letter in the mail for being a new home owner! I called them up and they scheduled me 2 weeks out. The technician, Clay, came out and was right on time! He put on his shoe covers because of the carpet in my home and introduced himself professionally. He Bayan to ask me questions about the locations of the units and thermostats in order for him to begin. He ended up replacing a bad compressor compactor that had a failed reading. Other than that he did what he needed to do and kept me on the same page as him as he continued the service. I even ended up signing up as a member with them!  It's only 119.40 annually, and includes 2 future precision tune up visits. It also allows a 15% discount on just about anything else you would need. If you plan on getting your a/c units tuned up twice a year (once in the spring, once in the fall) I would definitely go with these guys! First impressions are huge, so I hope my relationship with them continue to be this great!

Just another ripoff company similar to Lee or Hiller. Had a backed up sink and running toilet. Simple repairs, right? Nope! The doof that came over installed something called a Studer valve under our sink, claiming that he was 100 percent sure that was our problem and not a clog. $200 later, our sink was still clogged, so he snaked it and, miracle of miracles, it got unclogged.  He also tried something with the toilet which didn't work so claimed we needed a $250 plastic part that we looked up and found costs $16.99 at Lowes. Also, instead of repairing washers on faucet, he claimed we needed entirely new sinks. All to say ..STEER CLEAR!! We did get partially reimbursed, but Midstate dragged their feet forever and made multiple excuses. Surely there are good and ethical companies out there, but this one ain't it!

I rent a house that we use Mid-State for water services. I didn't have hot water one morning, so I call. Then I'm told I can't make the call, the owner is responsible for such actions. 1) He lives all the way in Wisconsin, he has no real connection besides we pay rent. 2) Nobody has time for all the back and forth. If I'm paying for the service, why does the owner have to call and set it up!? Your policy that is making miss work instead of you guys just coming out immediately when I called. Instead, I'm turned away and I'm left waiting for hours at the mercy of the owner getting around to call. Take away this dumb. policy.

P.S.
If you really need it for certain situations, use it then, but not for a checkup on my freaking water heater? Insane, that I have to call my babysitter to see if I can actually have hot water and go to work CLEAN and PROFESSIONAL.

I  highly  recommend   this  company.  I  use it  for  my house  and two  rentals. My  family uses them  as  well. Love the  service  and  the  scheduling.  I  belong  to their 'Club' which  inspects the  Plumbing  and  Heating and  air systems every year. Never  had  any  problems that couldn't  be  addressed  knowledgeably and  quickly.

Mid-State Heat and Air has been my provider since 1989. The service is professional and personal. The technicians are excellent. I am a club member and have my  system checked twice a year. I highly recommend this company.

We had an excellent experience with Mid-State. They were prompt and courteous both on the phone and in person. Our HVAC went out late on a Wednesday, I called them the next day, had someone out to discuss our options. No pressure whatsoever to buy a new system, but we decided that's what was best given our 11 year old system that the previous homeowners had already done some repairs to. We had a brand new one completely installed by 1pm Friday. Our installer Danieal was particularity impressive--very detail oriented, and did several things I wasn't expecting based on our contract to make sure our system was running as efficiently as possible.

Having trouble with a unit and decided to call another company. When the technician arrived he informed me my unit had several pieces missing and had been improperly serviced. Months ago when this company serviced my units I had to call them back twice and now it is obvious they didn't know what they were doing, I will not be using this company again.

Easily the worst company I've ever worked with. Originally, very responsive, and extremely overpriced. I was OK with that because the first small job was done to spec. They replaced 1 outside AC unit for $9000. Do yourself a favor and go with someone else.

Working with the plumbing side of the company... my downstairs shower broke, and I waited for 3 MONTHS for them to find a replacement part (supposedly the original shower handle kit... which ended up not being the original at all and cost $800 - which they told me was a bargain like I should be appreciative of getting screwed over by incompetent extortionists). They told me they'd need to rip out the tile, so I was forced to find someone that came out and was able to replace everything in 1 day - without touching the tile. Should have called that guy in the beginning.

Meanwhile (I hadn't learned my lesson yet) my upstairs shower lost the ability to change temperature, so they took that apart, assessed it, and ordered the part. This would be my last time working with them. I call a week later when they told me it would be in, and talk to the warehouse guy. He tells me it's getting in the next day and they would call me back and schedule an appointment... A MONTH LATER I call to check status, and they tell me I canceled the job (I didn't) and sent a new technician out, without the part I ordered, and he starts taking the shower apart because he doesn't know the problem. The saga continues...

...I'm back! So they took apart my shower so I was unable to use it, saying they would fix it the same day, whatever it takes. They realize they have the wrong parts, so go to the hardware store, and are unable to find the right parts. They then tell me they've overnighted the part so will be back the next day... a week passes and I start calling every day to check status because they don't call me to give me updates. I'm without a shower for a week because they broke one of the parts when disassembling it. I'm literally worse off than before because they came over to fix it -__-

Anyway, a week passes and they finally come back with the part. It's the wrong part. At which point I decide that seeing this through with them is only making matters worse.

Incompetence on a level I've never encountered before. I'm not even mad, just impressed!

I purchased a service package through a competitor, and on the first visit I was told that the A/C was extremely low on R22, and it was leaking and the unit was to old to be fixed and needed to be replaced. I called Mid-State Air Conditioning to have a 2nd opinion on the unit and to get a 2nd quote for a replacement unit which was $10K when Brendan Donegan showed up he asked me why I wanted a quote on a new unit, he respectfully disagreed with the other company and even took the time to show me the levels of R22 on the unit which was not leaking and doesn't need to be replaced! I am so glad we found this company which will be the company I use for all my future service! Affordable, fair, but most importantly HONEST!

While service calls are answered promptly and technicians are courteous and fairly knowledgeable. repairs are extremely overpriced. I also question the quality of the products sold. Our unit is exactly 4 years old and has already required 4 repairs. This current unit, purchased from Mid-State, has been highly disappointing compared to our previous unit (installed by our contractor) which lasted 25 years. At the rate this unit is deteriorating, we'll be lucky if it lasts another 5 years. I will not purchase another H&A unit from Mid-State, and neither will I contact them for any future repairs, repairs which experience has now taught me are sure to come.

If I could give a zero I would. I have used this company for a few years for both my HVAC and plumbing. I recently had a clogged main drain and called them to come out and take a look. Their plumber told me he put a camera thru my clean out and saw tree roots growing thru my main drain. The only option was to dig up the pipe and replace it. Ruining my yard in the process. The estimate for this was in excess of $5,000.00
I took a chance and called Roto-Rooter to see if they could take a look. They ran a camera from inside of my house towards the clean out and saw a simple clog in my main drain. They then used their auger to clear the clog in just a few moments. I asked them if they saw any roots and they told me there were none. I then told them about the mid state plumber running a camera from the clean out back to my main drain and they told me that was not possible. Roto-Rooter charged me $641 so I saved over $4450!!  I could not believe this plumber just lied straight to my face but it happened.
I DO NOT recommend mid state for plumbing. Such a shame!  There's no reason to cheat!  Nashville area has plenty of work to go around.
I have no affiliation with, nor do I particularly care for Roto-Rooter, I don't care who you call for plumbing. I'm just telling you mid state lied to my face and I caught em.

Meh- hit or miss.  We seem to need them to follow up on issues at a rental more often than I would expect, but their servicemen are pleasant.  
What particularly outrages me, however, is a serviceman recently was in quarantine for Covid and because he was unvaxxed at the time, he was placed on unpaid leave and disallowed his accrued sick time.  Unconscionable!  This sort of discrimination and malicious penalization speaks to a really twisted mentality in their management.
