I called this AM (the day after Christmas), got a response immediately. Frank and his crew were out within hours. I had heavy furniture, a shed full of junk and some stuff in the garage. He got it all on the truck and was gone quickly. I would not hesitate to call him again if I needed to.

Adam and Natalie, the whole team, was amazing! Our yard was a total disaster, and needed a ton of work. Other companies wouldn't even touch it but Adam didn't skip a beat. He (and his whole team) was reliable, took the time to talk to us and explain things, and we always felt they were there for us. I would recommend them to anyone with no hesitation

We wanted a simple but good looking block wall to be used as a compost pit and shovel rack. At a time when most contractors are too busy to be bothered with a small job, Dylan and his team came out relatively quickly for an estimate and gave a written proposal for a competitive price the next day. We were able to schedule the work shortly thereafter. Their mason Rafael is an artisan and worked very hard, quickly, and cleanly.

Joe and his team did a outstanding job on our driveway, patio and walkway. They were communicative, professional, on time and on budget. I would highly recommend them.

Russ was a bit difficult to contact, but in person was very pleasant. Alas, in the end his estimate was 3x that of another equally qualified handyman so I have no direct experience with his work.

Update: Despite his assertions otherwise, Russ did come to my home to review the project, took notes, and told me that I would receive the quote from someone else via email. Several days later I received the quote. Included in the email was a note that the email address from which the quote was sent was not monitored by Russ and that I would need to contact him directly.

It is important to highlight that this review is of the communication with Russ and his price, not of his work. As I mentioned in the above review, because Russ' quote was 3x that of another handyman our business relationship went no further. I would think it in Russ' best interests to (a) accept this review in the positive spirit in which it has been provided, and (b) stop sending me cellular text messages about the review.

Hired Valleywide to tear down a house so we could make way and get ready for new construction

We needed to remove the existing house but leave the slab so we could build the new house around it and the valleywide team did a great job

They were priced well, did the job efficiently and cleaned up the site afterwards. Was very satisfied & would recommend

I just had my house remodeled by DJ and have never been more pleased.  The replaced the flooring, repaired the bathroom shower and updated the fireplace.  They were on time, gave great suggestions and the final product looks spectacular.  He knew we were selling our house so that was all taken into consideration.  Love these guys and what they do.  Have already recommend them to all my friends!!

Jesus from JYK Construction did the job of removing loose, water damaged stucco from the street side of my garden wall, redid the stucco and repainted.
He was easy to communicate with in English, came promptly to view the job and gave me the estimate within a day. He was easier to work with than other, bigger companies.
Their estimate was reasonable and they offered a warranty so I gave them the job. They came exactly when stated, Jesus and his helper worked hard and did a good job.
I can recommend them. They are a very small company but they do competent work.

RC Demolition just completed our whole house flooring demolition. Oliver was a pleasure to work with in arranging this big job. He was professional and competitively priced. Jose and Jolene did a great job hanging plastic to contain the dust on a very dusty tile removal project. We opted for the traditional mortar removal process rather than the dust free (which is also offered by RC), and the dust was really not as bad as I expected. They got the entire house done in about a day an a half. I would use them again.

We need to grade, remove rock and level out the west area of our home for a project. Found blue horizon on yelp and Jim responded in a very timely manner. He gave us a fair quote. We also had 2 other quotes we received. He wasn't the cheapest but he also wasn't the most expensive.  We knew he was reliable through his communication unlike another company we had used that was inconsistent. Jim got a contract out to us which listed in detail all the work we wanted completed. He showed up on time and completed the job in one day. At the end of the job, we found him cleaning (sweeping) the dirt mess he had created while excavating. Normally, construction workers leave this task for the homeowners to do so we appreciated the extra work. For the reasons above, we highly recommend his company. He does great work and if we have other jobs in the future, we will use his company again

Contacted Mike and got a quick quote from the pictures I provided. Gave me a fair rate, showed up on time and did a great job. Highly recommend his company
