We hired The Plug, as part of a larger and expensive renovation to our home, to completely redo our lighting. The Plug Electric was hands down the best and most pleasant contractor during our months-long, stressful remodel.
Julian, the owner, personally consulted with us throughout this process and delivered a superior result at the right price. For the electrical work, we transformed our outdated incandescent lighting to efficient LED can lights, installed new fans, repaired outlets, fixed loose and dangerous wires, mounted new exhaust fans, and lodged a new chandelier--again all at an affordable price. What's more than superior work at a reasonable rate, Julian is fun, hardworking, detailed, and honest. I'll repeat: He's honest.  On two separate occasions, Julian came to our home--free of charge--to work on ancillary work unrelated to our contract. I had electrical panel/service upgraded and Ron and his team were excellent. They were punctual and professional. They came recommended from friends who had them do theirs too. Communication was great and they were kind enough to give me some advice for other electrical projects and questions. Best of all they know what they are doing, and no BS. Ron is genuinely a nice person. It's hard to find good electricians and I am so happy to find one, finally.

Updated review: Still using Pat 3 years later! Called him out to replace a toilet and ceiling fan and fix other miscellaneous things around my condo while we were getting it ready to sell. He does stellar work & in minimal time. Also great that he's capable in electric so I didn't have to hire 2 separate companies.

We used him again for my father in laws store a month later, there was an issue with a smell coming from a drainage pipe, Pat had lots of great options to fix it. Highly recommend Goodwork plumbing!!

This company was recommended through our Condo Association after I experienced electrical flickering issues for several days.  ComEd found no issues w/ outside wiring leading up to our 12 unit building...Contacted Village Square Electric, had owner Steve Holdefer check out circuit breaker box (indoor) and then main breaker (outside).  Outside breaker found to be faulty and was replaced.  No issues...problem resolved.  Steve was courteous, took time to explain every procedure he took in layman's language...Price was fair (I researched other electrical companies before calling Village)...Would definitely use this vendor again without hesitation.

Above and beyond customer service.  We called him at the last minute and he came to our rescue and delayed the start of his own vacation.  He did a wonderful job, very professional -- we will definitely call them again.

They actually mean 24/7 service. Called, got picked up right away and they were able to help me over the phone. Free troubleshooting...I like! No need for a visit but I will definitely be using them in the future. Honest and helpful, the two most important things you need in an electrician.

Electra-City had, by far, the best prices of any of the electricians that we discussed our kitchen remodel with.  The work is all quite good and Eddie is very precise in what he does.

However, be aware that he will require some extra management on your part.  Setting work dates will be up to you, and probably require a follow-up to confirm.  Eddie wants to get it right, but that means that work proceeds probably a lot more slowly that you'll expect.

All that said, Eddie knows his stuff.  Most of his work is in higher-end houses out in the suburbs, and it shows.

Lexis Property Services rocks!!  Best company around !!! Kudos to them. We couldn't be happier with the work Phillip and krystle do. Communication was top notch, they were great listeners. They kept things very clean inside and out. They were on time and treated me like I was the only job they was working on that week, which could be a problem with other contractors. Phillip is very knowledgeable about many different types of construction projects and look at the details of what is needed. These people work as a team!!! If you want phenomenal work done Phillip and krystle are the people for the job. I actually recommend them to everyone I know when it come to any project.

I had an emergency job as I was desperate to restore power in my investment property that has 2 tenants. A&K came over early in the morning to perform an assessment. I was quoted $8,870 to complete a re-wiring of the outside of the 2-flat building. When I asked other electricians, they told me that quote was considerably over priced, but as I was in an emergency situation, I was compelled to take the offer. A&K completed the work and the power was restored.

Before the A&K electrician left, he told me that I needed additional work done that would require him to return. His quote was $3,800. Because this was not an emergency situation, I had time to ask around again for other quotes and then wait for the availability of another electrician to complete the work. I was quoted $600 for the job by a licensed, bonded electrician.

Beware of A&K as they will over-charge!
