We are in the process of selling our house and had the privilege of working with Ferd Kirby. He does efficient and amazing work and is reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend him for any electrical work!

I wanted to do a minor upgrade to my homes electrical service, repair or replace a burned out switch and install 2 new overhead lights in my kitchen. Normally I would install the lights myself but was unsure of how to perform upgrade and not sure if bad switch would affect new overhead lights. I tried Angies list first sending messages to 2 different contractors who failed to return the phone messages within 72 hours, I later found out these two companies responded by email instead quoting me absurd rates. After this I went on to home advisor.com and selected Edds from the list detailing the job required and requesting a quote, Jeff Edds, the owner called the following day, said he needed to view the job, lookup prices and work to be performed and only then would quote a price if I agreed and we set up a date for his visit. Upon arriving he viewed the job to be done, showed me prices of equipment needed and set a rate which i was more than happy with, He then stated he had just opened his business, was looking for new customers, stated word of mouth was a very powerful tool, wanted my business permanently and asked if he could earn it which i was thrilled with. The entire project took 2 hours to complete, he explained the process in great detail to ensure my satisfaction and when done asked if his service was acceptable, I stated yes, very pleased, asked for his business card and said he will definately receive my future calls, couldn't have asked for better service and rates. you should check this guy out and give him a try, I'm very selective about my providers but he's earned it.

I had a ceiling fan that wouldn't run (but had power, because the light would come on); I had a low-voltage outdoor lighting spot that would not light. They troubleshooted both problems and went 2 for 2! The electrician (Chris) and his assistant were professional, detail-minded, and courteous (voluntary donned masks when they saw me wearing one; were careful with not tracking dirt in the house; were extremely careful in negotiating a ladder upstairs and around corners). Two gripes (although this may be more of a front-office thing) - it took about 4 days for them to call me back when I originally called for scheduling, and then we had agreed to an afternoon appt (12 or after) and they called saying they were on their way at 9:45 that morning. For the jobs themselves, however, I was extremely happy with the outcome.

I made arrangements for the electrician to come at 9:00 AM and they never showed up. I called to find out if they were running late and no answer, no answering machine? Unprofessional! If for some reason they could not make it, a phone call would have been the professional and respectful thing to do.

just purchased a new Hvac system from them. had a question, and called customer service for assistance. On hold for over 15 minutes to speak with a person. Finally gave up! IMO, a very poor level of customer service.

A jerk over the phone when I asked for an estimate on a house I was buying. Not interested in actually working. Over Confident Electrical.
