Best Post Light Repair in San Antonio TX

Kept trying to get someone to come out but our messages were never returned. Will have to find another company.

We hired this company a little less than a year ago to put in all new lights and fix outlets that were not working. On one light the electrician installed a new switch a way he was not supposed to and it was not until he showed back up later that day with his boss to look at it that we were even told of the issue. They had to put an extra hole in the ceiling of a bathroom that is covered with a plastic plate now. They hung several lights on chains that we have since had to redo because they were having from the cord itself and not the chain. The outlet they fixed have all 1 by 1 stopped working. And now less than a year after paying them hundreds of dollars to do all this work half the outlets in my home don't work and I'm now paying a new electrician to come fix everything.

The staff was very nice but not knowledgable when it comes to actually doing the installation or repair of lights or sockets.

Great work. Excellent prices. Kaleb is a great guy to work with. He swapped out some old rusty fluorescent light fixture in a carport for a new LED version. It looks great. Big improvement. He also helped with a ceiling fan inside that was falling apart. And he's coming back to replace a broken ceiling fan in another room. Very professional, excellent work.

The quality ,professionalism,workmanship is spot on! We were looking to add 4 LED living room lights to ceiling with a smart dimmer switch, I do consider myself a good handyman..But this was a project left to experience ! And with multiple wires needed and adding a extra wall switch alongside via ceiling ya get the picture. Communication and understanding what we were looking for and them explaining made everything easy. Has 2 digital timers installed by Cory (electrician) and Tyler this morning.  Wired in accordance with manufacturer's diagram, but diagram was incorrect.  Cory hot checked and had power to the timers.  Didn't ask him to set timers because I felt it would be better to learn to do so by myself.  I attempted to set the timers for approximately 90 minutes without success.  Wasn't able to get power past the timer even with it on override.  I contacted Bryan (owner) and he would have Cory return today.  Cory returned this afternoon, checked his work and wasn't able to get power past the timer.  He contacted Bryan and Bryan was able to determine how to wire timer.  Gave 5 stars because of timely return and completion although Cory should have checked equipment for operation rather than only hot checking timer.

Should have done the job correctly the initial time.  Rude, unprofessional and wondering where the guy is that many state is great.  Maybe if I was a male......I would have been treated better.

I've never called electricians except when something goes wrong. Allgood is awesome for how quickly they respond and how great their service is. They are knowledgeable and can quickly figure out where the issue is that caused the call. Troy was courteous of my house and those in it. They do not try to up sell the problem.

I needed an electrician to run & bury wire,  about 100' worth, plus add some outlets for pumps, lights & etc.

Yelp asked if I wanted to send the request for bids to multiple firms and I clicked yes.

The bid went to five electrical contractors.  

The first to respond was L & R Electric, and they were available the next day, to assess the job and prep a bid.

Out of 5, 1 firm never responded, two more made appointments and came to assess & bid.  

One guy was pure upsell, another was not highly experienced.  

But L & R showed up on time, was wearing a mask, was courteous, professional. Over the next couple of days, Louis was VERY communicative, sent me a bid, and came in under the other firms large and small.

After awarding them the bid, two men came the next morning, got right after the job, and completed it the same day, cleaning up after themselves.  Tino & Jerry were a great pair, friendly and very conscientious.

Tino looked at the electrical panel & determined it was maxed out, & actually over-burdened.   We decided it needed to be upgraded.  This is not uncommon for  a 37 year old house, so we approved the upgrade.

All in all, it could not have gone any smoother, nor could everybody at L&R been any more pleasant to deal with than they were.  

I recommend them without any reservations.

Called first thing in the morning and he was at my house within a matter of hours. He came prepared and had the parts he needed to replace in his truck. Extremely fast and friendly service. It was so nice to get this taken care of quickly and have  the rest of my day to run errands. No one likes waiting around and I really did not have to! To top it all off, the prices were significantly cheaper than all of the other places that I called. Highly recommend!

Virgilio came out to check a couple circuits in a back-patio breaker box.  The hot tub breaker was toast and unavailable in the local market, so I went online and found a suitable replacement; he returned a couple days later, to install the hot tub breaker.   While here, he replaced two interior switches; one dimmable light-switch and the garbage-disposal switch.  Friendly, knowledgeable & reasonably priced, and very responsive!

I contacted him again the following week; I decided to completely replace the patio breaker box and all breakers as the old box really wasn't safe.  We set the appointment and he returned completing phase two of my electrical upgrade.

Soon after upgrading the patio circuits, I decided to replace the primary interior breaker box & all breakers in my garage; several of those breakers are sloppy-loose in the box.  He will return this week to perform the change-out in my garage.  I'll sleep much better knowing these electrical upgrades to my 50 year-old home, enhance our fire-safety.

Virgilio returned today, 8/31/22 completing my electrical upgrades.

Very pleased with his work and work ethic.  Will definitely hire again if needed!

One of the best experiences I've had with a contractor. He was on time, worked hard and was done in a few hours when I thought it would take all day. I had tried to get quotes from some other electricians and had trouble getting timely responses. If I need an electrician again I will definitely go to Electrimax.

Darin installed a 50 amp circuit and an outlet for a car charger in my garage a couple of years ago.   The plug went bad last week and Darin fixed it under warranty even though it was no fault of his.  He's super responsive and has great integrity.  Highly recommend!

Showed up on time for an urgent job happily answered all my questions. Did a quality job as per code and cleaned up when done. Could not have asked for more on such short notice. Wore masks and used foot coverings as well to keep things clean.

Not too impressed.  I needed garage light fixture replaced, a light switch replaced, and a kitchen fixture moved.   The work was very well done but I believe I was WAY overcharged.  The original bid was about $600 (which I thought was high) but I wanted to get the work done so I agreed to pay it.  When they moved the kitchen fixture, they said I needed a new box capable of handling the weight of the fixture which added about $150 to the bill.  The electrician had to go to Home Depot to get the right box.  The bill was paid IN FULL, by credit card, at the time of service (03 Sep).

I got a call on 16 Sep asking how I intended to pay the $600 that was still owed!  I told the caller that I had paid in full on the day of service and their request was not valid.  I asked to speak with the supervisor and was never able to talk to him/her.  

I do not intend to use Colvin Electric again and certainly will not recommend them to any of the homeowners in Sun City.

I had wires ran for custom motorized blinds and their team did a great job performing the work and the pricing was very reasonable. I highly recommend this company!

This company is sneaky, greedy and unprofessional - especially Larry and Joe. They are just not good people or right in the head. I would not even recommend them to my worst enemy. There are better, more reliable companies to seek out.
