I love electricity! Everything about it is fascinating to me. I have been doing this type of work for over 15 years and don't plan to stop. The industry is only getting better with new ways to achieve low energy consumption lighting and new ways to run businesses. Back in the saddle! A communication misfire got the project off on the wrong foot but once we reconnected, Andy and especially Aaron completed our project on budget and on time!
The mark of a good electrician is attention to detail and Aaron's work was impeccable!

Live Oak Electric came out to install an electric vehicle charger (evse) and an outlet for my stick welder.

They did an amazing job! They were on time, friendly, and professional. They listened to my requirements and went above and beyond during installation.

The job looks professional, and is done well.

I would highly recommend them to anyone in the dripping springs or Austin area.

Aaron Sallaway came out and tied into my back porch outlet, neatly ran conduit, and installed 3 weather protected outlets in preparation for installation of motorized patio sun shades. The workmanship was excellent. Aaron ensured he did things exactly as I anticipated so there were no unpleasant surprises. He even exceeded my expectations by concealing a wire run under a panel of hardie plank siding making for a cleaner look. Once he confirmed my satisfaction, he thoroughly cleaned up and left the area neat and tidy. Bottom Line: extremely professional job. Check out Live Oak Electric for your electrical needs....you won't be sorry.

Live Oak helped install recessed lighting and HVAC electric hookups for our garage. They were fantastic to work with and I would highly recommend them for all electric work. Andy was easy going and friendly during the estimate and provided a competitively priced quote. On the day of the job, his team was professional, friendly and performed excellent work on time. They cleaned up afterwards and left the garage as they found it.

It really was a great experience.

Live Oak Electric gives a fair estimate, shows up for work (not creating the worry other contractors sometimes do) and they do great work! I've referred them and they've never disappointed! Won't hesitate to refer them again and don't need to look further than Live Oak Electric for my electrical work.

In cahoots with Best Austin Handyman, Andy Keil, the owner of Live Oak Electric, pulled two City of Austin permits. One permit was to upgrade my electrical panel. I received a new panel, going from 125 amp service up to 150 amp service with no sub panel at a cost of $3,800. None of the breakers were labeled. Initially they FORGOT to wire in my air conditioner (during the summer!) This upgrade requires me to reset GFI outlets and panel breakers at least once every freaking week. I never had these issues with my old panel.

Andy also pulled a permit to do the interior electrical work for my kitchen remodel, but BAH had their own crew do it. After numerous electrical problems arose Andy wouldn't repair th hiem because he had only been paid $500 to pull the permit and $75 to inspect the work. Andy said he would come back to fix everything when I agreed to pay him, but then said he was too busy. I've reported all this to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

I just wanted to echo my original review. I had an electric emergency this evening where it was unsafe to keep the power turned on. I called Live Oak Electric and spoke to Andy, the owner. He took the call even though he was visiting family in San Antonio. He walked me through the options and said he would check to see if his brother Aaron would be available to come out today.

Aaron not only called immediately, he also said that given our situation he would come out this evening. Aaron was able to resolve our problem quickly, restored power, removed the danger and kept our home safe.

I would highly recommend Live Oak Electric, they are honest, the are compassionate, and they are excellent electricians..

I had what turned out to be a minor short in a light fixture (if there is such a thing!). The owner, Andy, was prompt in his response and got a call scheduled quickly; Adam got it diagnosed and fixed within the first hour he was here. When I decided to have a security light installed over the front walk I contacted Live Oak again. Got the same professional response and prompt scheduling. Aaron took care of the project, answering my questions and helping me decide which lighting option best fit my needs. Prompt, courteous, professional - I'm glad to have found them because my 30+ year old house is bound to have more electrical surprises in store for me.
