Best Water Softener Repair in Phoenix AZ
I recently changed my home's RO filters and was worried by a sharp taste with an odd, almost metallic, aftertaste. I followed the manufacture's instructions already and had drained and filled the tank several times, but the taste still lingered. Fearing the worst, I messaged American Home Water and Air to get a quote for sending out an expert to help me diagnose the issue. To my surprise, Tom (the owner), was kind enough to try to help me out directly through Yelp messages. He told me that the membrane on the new filter has a coating that is responsible for the taste, and to try letting the RO spigot drain for about an hour to remedy the issue. I followed this advice (in addition to re-sanitizing the system) and now my water tastes great!
In short, I'm glad that I was able to find a company that cares about getting issues resolved rather than trying to make a quick buck to come out and tell me the same thing that Tom was able to tell me in a quick message. I'll certainly be using them in the future if I have any other plumbing, HVAC, or water purification needs!

King plumbing gets a very good review from me. Although I did not hire them for plumbing because I am a very good plumber myself but rather I hired them for air conditioner service. This technical kind of job out classes my skill set and tools so I needed some help. So I Yelped out. A few out other companies were not willing to service my unit (because it was a Mexican market unit I bought for cheap). Some other companies were willing but they Didn't have any reviews yet but I wasn't willing to be the first one. So I called King plumbing because they had very good reviews already. What can I say the reviews don't lie. The first company I hired last year to do the install messed up the install. It was a simple mistake but there was a tiny leak and so the machine ran out of Freon in the winter when I need it to make heat which makes it kind of difficult to service. King Plumbing Took care of it easily, and they came through right away and fixed it very reasonably. Their master journey man level technician was very professional and respectful. I was happy and proud to leave him his first tip.

Parker & Sons is...
Very prompt
Very courteous
Very clean
But do you know what else Parker & Sons is?
Very expensive. Like, really expensive. Holy smokes these guys are expensive. $655 for a 1/3HP garbage disposal? The disposal unit at Home Depot sells for $79.
I also had a flaky breaker in my panel replaced to tune of $564. The 20-amp breaker at Home Depot sells for $8.88.
The electrician was at my home for an hour. The plumber was onsite for 75 minutes. Apparently the hourly labor rate at Parker & Sons is somewhere in the neighborhood of $550 per hour. I checked local plumbing and electrician rates and this is in the insane category.
I am clearly the chump of the century and they saw me coming. I was in a hurry and I wanted these items repaired before the holidays, so I got bent over pretty good. Yes, the reviews you're reading about Parker & Sons being insanely expensive are accurate. Their techs are competent and friendly, but you will overpay to the point of being taken advantage of. Just know that going in and you'll feel OK afterwards.
Bottom line...if you want quick, trustworthy, reliable, service and you don't mind overpaying exorbitantly, Parker & Sons really should be your first call.
UPDATE: Turns out this whole mess was just a misunderstanding and that both technicians who visited my home managed to misquote the work and overcharge me by $400 each. Man, what are the chances, right? Typical response time for refunds from Parker & Sons is 10 business days, but the folks put an expedite on my refunds. They must have felt pretty badly, or maybe it was my mentioning the Attorney General's office that moved them to do the right thing and in a speedy fashion. Bottom line: I got the plumbing and electrical problems repaired in my home and I paid a fair price.

Beware! Had yavapai come out to look at our heating/air unit that stopped working right after we moved into our house. They were prompt and polite and got the heat working again. They then told us we needed a new unit. It was several thousand dollars. It was winter, it was cold so we signed the contract and had a new unit a couple days later.
They sold us an electrostatic filter which was supposed to cut down the dust and allergens (which instead turned out to restrict the air flow.) Everything worked fine except the flow into the master bedroom. A few months later I called them out to check for blockages. A tech came out and told us we needed all new ducts to the tune of $7k
We passed.
We used them again when we had our bathroom remodeled to rough in and install the plumbing fixtures we purchased separately. The first tech was not familiar with The brand we purchased and had some problems. We called for another tech and he also had problems figuring it out but got it connected.
One day I am in the shower and the top of the pipe disconnected from the wall. We had someone else come to fix it and he discovered that the Yavapai tech had only put two anchors in to hold the pipe when there were 4 that SHOULD have been used.
I called Yavapai and requested a refund of labor for the installation and was told no that I should have called them back to fix it. Why would I do that when they didn't know what they were doing in the first place? I finally managed to get a portion back.
I hate leaving bad reviews but am disappointed at the ineptitude and, in my opinion, dishonesty.
I do not recommend this company.

The rating is low due to the costs estimate to repair a freon leak in our airconditioner. The troubleshooting to find the problem and the preliminary technicians were just fine But the estimate to repair was over $1300 with the bulk of the cost being freon with @ 4 hours of labor. We researched the cost of freon and their charge was easily 70% more than any inquiries we made. Just had the work done for $395 including the freon.
