Best Solar Water Heater Repair in Washington DC

Pretty disappointing and frustrating experience.  The person who came to do the estimate was pretty cranky and not customer service oriented.  His mood was not improved when he got blasted in the face by refrigerant from my compressor - this happened because his hoses were not properly tightened prior to attachment, and I might have lost maybe a half pound or so of refrigerant (that stuff is expensive!!).  The guy then told me my refrigerant was low (you don't say) - I have no idea whether it was low before this incident or not.  When I proceeded to ask questions about other aspects of the HVAC system, he responded rather curtly with just the diagnostic price, ignoring my questions.  Eventually he did become slightly more pleasant and went up to my attic as I asked (not without complaining about it, though).  He promised to send me a write up with the diagnostic info and estimates for repair, but he did not.  In a follow-on discussion, the owner finally offered, after several requests to make some compensation, but only if I engaged them for additional services, and only offered these services during times which he know I would not be available.  The owner just stopped engaging and in the end my request to reimburse the diagnostic request was not responded to.  In sum, I feel like I paid $99 to come away with LESS refrigerant than I started with, no resolution to my initial issue, and a waste of my time.  I will ask Yelp for some help making this right, as I only engaged Drymount as a suggested business by Yelp.  Recommend CD Shanahan instead of these guys.

Good work but double the money and not worth the effort!

Absolutely terrible. We hired them to power wash and stain (solid stain) our deck. After they were done staining it looked worse than before they started! Paint/stain was in big clumps everywhere & some sections of paint/stain actually started to peel right off after 1 day. When I called to ask them to come re-do it, the owner, Jose said Well, do you have more work for us? I had to argue with him to come make it right! Finally they came & re-did it. It looks better (not perfect by any means) but after 3 days it was chipping again! I think they use the cheapest product on the market. Deck stain should not chip when we simply walk on it. It's pointless to have them come back again. Will never use them again.

don't let a minor issue turn into a costly repair their message says.  Well, I called about a 3 way PVC pex crimped fitting that was dripping intermittently and needed changed out.  nothing major.  an hour ahead of the appt I turned off my water main, turned on the cold taps in the house and drained the water.  

their agent arrives and an hour later he comes up stairs.  thinking he's done i get ready to grab my wallet, but turns out he hasn't even started yet.  he started to cut the pipe, water went everywhere, how i have no clue.  he says the main shutoff valve wasn't shutting off water properly, news to me.  

well, he let water drain all over our washer and dryer, which were directly below this 3 way that needed fix.  a half inch of water on the floor. he says they'll be fine, they're washers and dryers.  i noted, well, the water usually stays inside the machines.  2 hours later, zero progress was made whatsoever. the original issue hadn't been fixed, this mysteriously bad shut off valve hadn't been fixed.  the agent was just sitting in his truck, looking overwhelmed.  frankly, I believe he was trying to wait out the remainder of his day so someone else had to take over.

i called the main office because i was concerned about the lack of progress.  the office informed me he was 'wrapping up and just doing paperwork'.  i told them NOTHING had been done yet, he had been spending more time in his truck than anything.  2 hours and zero progress, in fact the situation had gone remarkably backwards.

turns out the agent was waiting on another tech to help, he said he didn't have a 3/4-3/4-1/2 pex T with him.  Had i known this, I'd have run up to our local hardware store and picked one up just to save the time.  

I used M&S 'back in the day' when they seemed to be a smaller company. maybe that wasn't the case, but the perception was there at least.  The amount of stress this small job caused was pretty remarkable, and it ended up costing me easily double what was originally quoted, which I was very unhappy about.
