Best Door Repair in Portland OR
I have never had to call a plumber and I was concerned because you hear so many stories about bad service or being taken advantage of. Forbes was recommended by a local real estate friend of mine. I have to say, I was highly impressed. I had two plumbers come out and they were very professional. They quickly identified the source of a leaky shower head and fixed it promptly. They even noticed that my bathroom sink wasn't draining and fixed that without me even having to ask. I will definitely be calling them if I have any other plumbing issues in the future.

Tod did an excellent job of installing our toilet, actually he had to come back and remove it and install another one, as the first was defective! He was very quick to respond to our calls, and even made an extra trip to explain questions we had about the water height in the tank.
His prices were fair and we would call him again, not only for toilets but he seemed well versed in other areas as well.

Bob was rude from the get-go. He was obviously grouchy about something when he showed up. He had a bad attitude and was unprofessional about the problem we were having. Didn't want to help us because we had to shut the water off in the building. We got approval from the building manager to do so while bob was on-site and and said he would charge us an additional $200 to shut the water off. We decided not to do it because it was expensive and he didn't seem to be interested in helping us anyway. He left with a sour taste after 10 minutes.

I've been waiting for over a month to write this review. I wanted to see if my initial reaction remained and also how the work quality held up. I am now confident to proceed.
Work done: removal of old and installation of new tub fixtures (drain plug, faucet, lever and shower head).
The two positives about this experience were that, 1. He was available to come within our time frame as we had out of town guests arriving and, 2. He was friendly and enthusiastic (and very chatty)
Other than that, we were quite disappointed. The fixtures I picked out at H.D., he said, were not compatible even though they were the same brand as the original. He told me he would make a call to the company to see what their recommended alternative was. In the meantime, he would need my husband to go to Home Depot to get plumber's putty and silicone caulk, which we were kind of surprised he didn't have with him. Garth made 2 trips to get the parts needed and was gone, we both thought, a considerable amount of time for what he was purchasing which ended up being, what I would consider, apartment quality tub fixtures. After he was done and we were $418 poorer, we looked in the bathroom and noticed that he had forgotten to secure the ring around the shower head to the wall so my husband had to do that. I also noticed that the silicone caulking around the tub spout had been so messily applied that it was smeared several inches outside the place where the spout meets the fiberglass shower wall. 3 weeks later, after our guests had gone and I went in to clean, I could see that the silicone around the spout was coming away and the spout was now loose. We have another handyman coming to fix this next week. I really should have waited until he was available. He's already done some work for us since Garth, is much cheaper and is doing a fantastic job. He also doesn't spend much time talking to us.......nothing wrong with that, per se, but, after all, the hourly rate clock is ticking. Lastly, I never received the invoice that he said he would send via email so I don't have a breakdown of the parts and labor charges. Upon further inspection and as I said earlier, I was shocked and disappointed at the low quality of the fixtures. He didn't check with us before installation and once they were in, I just wanted to pay him and stop the clock because he had been there for hours!! This part is totally my fault. I should have paid more attention to what he was doing but it seemed that every time I checked in on him, he started talking to me and I really wanted to leave him alone to get it done asap. Thankfully, it is just a spare bathroom that will be probably be remodeled someday. In hindsight, I wish I would have had more patience and saved the $$ and just left the ugly gold fixtures in there. You live and learn.
Glad some of you had a great experience. Wish we had.

Chris is a very reliable person. His work and his service is top of the line. I had an experience with him fixing leaks at my house. His quote is very reasonable and his schedule is very punctual.
I would like to recommend him to anybody needs a plumber.

We want to take this opportuhnity to express how impressed that we were with the professional service that we received from Josh and Brian in regards to what was a real problem at our home.
Late on Thursday , August 10, we heard water running. We could not identify where the sound was coming from but after looking everywhere, we determined that the situation required professional attention. Realizing that it was late on Friday afternoon and that it was going to be a challenge to find someone to help us, we immediately began calling various plumbing companies in our area. After almost an hour of calling with no success, we came on to Mr. Rooter. The person taking our call treated it as urgent and promptly did was they could to find a serviceman that would be available to help us. After having had no success calling others looking for help, we were really impressed by the sincere attention that was paid to our situation.
Soon thereafter we were told that someone would be contacting us within the hour. That is exactly what happened. Josh Davison called us and advised that he was finishing up a job and would be at our house as soon as he could. Josh arrived 45 minutes later. He turned off the water from the street. We were highly impressed by Josh's professionalism. He asked specific questions and immediately move forward to diagnose the problem. Soon he was under the house (a very small crawl space) checking every possible spot where there could be a leak. He emerged 15 minutes later with a confident assessment of the situation. We had a connection that had failed.
Josh was respectful, intelligent, professional and clear about what needed to happen in order to get the problem fixed. Again, realizing that now we were into early evening on Friday, Josh moved quickly to call Mr. Rooter headquarters to find who might be able to connect with us and fix the problem. Brian H. from Mr. Rooter connected with us on Friday, came over and further validated Josh's assessment of the situation and outlined us on what our options were. We explained that not having water was really an unfun reality for us. Brian was able to organize his schedule to come out on Saturday to fix the problem. Brian said that he could be at our house between 11:30 and 12:00. He arrived at 11:50 am. We were really impressed because it is very rare, nowadays, that people are on time. This demonstrates professionalism and respect for the customer.
In conclusion, we want to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Rooter of Portland/Vancouver and both Josh and Brian for the attention to our real problem and the professional service provided.

They did a great job cementing a new mailbox and post for me. They arrived on time and finished the work in a timely manner. We had good communication ahead of time so there were no issues of misunderstanding each other. I felt the price was a little high but will probably use them again for jobs in the future.
