Best Kitchen Remodeling in Oakland CA

Tried for over a month to schedule a walk thru and get an estimate. I emailed/called and he responded with a text. Then I emailed as requested and he said that he would call back. He never returned my call. I texted to follow up - no response. I called again and he said to email the plans again and then call him on Tuesday after he had time to review our plans. Called today and he said that he would call back in 20 mins to review the job. He never called back. Terrible customer service. This is a fairly big project. Incredibly unprofessional!

We have been having a leak in the pipe under the kitchen sink since forever. A few months ago we had a plumber come check it out and he gave us a quote of $250 and said he had to buy new pipes for the whole thing! We didn't take his offer.

Fast forward to this month. I started looking for plumbers on Yelp, and called everyone starting from the top of the list but no one picked up until Jorge. I asked what was the earliest time he could come in and he said he could come in the next morning! After our call I also received a text from Michael Your Plumber saying he is not available but that I should call Jorge :D

Today when Jorge was here he spent only about 5 minutes to stop the leak! Just by adjusting the alignment of the pipes! I was so amazed...However, he didn't just stop there. He spent the next 10 minutes checking to see if there were smaller leaks and examining other parts of the pipes besides the obvious places.

In the end, he said normally it's $120 but since he didn't have to get his equipments or anything, he was charging nothing!

I hope he gets lots and lots of business, because his service really is the best!

Excellent Service!! This is my 2nd review. I manage a 9 unit building in Cow Hollow and have been using Leo and his guys for 4 years now.  We've had water pipes rerouted, water heater installed, sinks snaked.  What's most impressive is the service.  I've never waited more than 15 minutes for a call back.  He's even come out on a weekend for an emergency bathroom sink water leak.

I hired Harry Clark to replace a 60+ year old furnace with a new 95% efficiency model.  Don came out right away to do an estimate and patiently answered all my questions.  I got the work scheduled for about a month later and the installers showed up on time and completed the project without any complications.  The installers walked me though the work they did, the safety features (gas / electric shutoff) and how to change the filter.  Harry Clark filed the necessary paperwork for the Oakland permit and the work passed the final inspection on the first try.  Throughout the process whenever I had questions I could call their number and someone always answered the phone.  Brian was especially helpful when I called in with questions.

First time home owner.  Had a leak that leak detectors couldn't find.. But Ed found it and fixed it in 3 hours!

I was very impressed with GAXL Construction & Plumbing from start to completion.  From the very beginning, Andy, Project Manager - was great to work with and a very good guide (suggested water proof flooring and provided 3 flooring locations to check).  We had a bathroom floor which I knew had wood rot underneath from plumbing back ups and toilet leaking issues over the years.  I originally thought it was a minor repair, but the wood rot was so bad-a whole section had to be replaced.  GAXL's staff arrived on time, wore masks the entire time, put on shoe covers each time they walked through our house, they removed all the debris, plus they were all very polite as well.  I was promised that the project would take a day, possibly two.  To my amazement (and joy) they finished in one day even though the project was a much larger job than expected.  Thank you GAXL for your professionalism and we love our new flooring!  Great job guys!

This is the kind of company that should set the standard for all home repair companies.  From the first request for a quote to the follow up afterward I was impressed with the ease of communication and speed of response.  We had electrical work done and Roberto was very professional and did excellent work. He even was able to fix an issue with our light switch that other electricians could not.

I contracted with Mr. Unger to install tile floors in three bathrooms and a laundry room and to completely remodel a shower stall with a new pan, plumbing fixtures and tiles. The shower is complicated, with two heads, a soap dish, two recessed boxes and a grab rail. The workmanship on the shower is first rate, and I am extremely happy with the finished project. I would have given Mr. Unger's company five stars but for two things. The trim work is very sloppy. The cutouts for all three toilet valves and the dryer vent hose where hacked out with a utility knife instead neatly cut with a hole saw. Also, while Mr. Unger contacted me almost every day during the three weeks of construction, he has not responded to email or phone messages. I was going to ask him to redo my other bathroom to match, but since he hasn't communicated with me since the other projects were completed, I will find another contractor.
