We use Lee Company and twice a year they check Heating/AC and out electrical. This is a straight forward company with honest service personnel. I also like very much receiving a military discount when we need work to be done.
They call ahead, put covers on shoes for entering the house, review everything, take photos, and explain everything as detailed as you would like. Even when work is required or they find something they don't do a hard sell. They may say this has to be done or they may say you might want to schedule this as this should be done every say 5 years for duct cleaning. Then they can give you the price and you can decide on the scheduling.
Taking pics of my A/C or him standing next to the unit would do little to aid this review. The proof is in the satisfaction. We are totally satisfied.

My heat went out and I was worried since some lows of 17 were forecast for the near future. I have a tight budget and had been slow in calling anyone - dreading the cost. I am fortunate that I have 2 separate units - upstairs and downstairs. It was the upstairs unit and we had been making it okay in our upstairs bedrooms. Due to a few recommendations, I called Lee Company. The technician quickly told me that both my units were dead - that my downstairs must be warm due to good insulation. He stated that it would take a long time to get the part for the upstairs unit - if it would even be possible to get it. He brought the installer back the next day to give me a quote. Both the technician and the installer confirmed that both units were dead - even though they were standing in a warm room with freezing temps outside. I was told that they had the units in stock (no choice of units was given) and that the price would go up by the first of the month, but they could get them installed before the low temperatures - if I gave them the go ahead. At this point I had not been offered a written quote or any information about the recommended units. I asked for the quote to be emailed. A few minutes after they left I received a quote for almost $16,000 - with a cancellation clause that stated that immediately upon signing I would be responsible for 15% for a cancellation and restocking fee. The dead downstairs unit has continued to keep the area warm. Another technician (obviously not with Lee Co) quickly realized that the upstairs unit needed a part that cost less than $60, He was able to get the part immediately and It took less than 20 minutes for him to install it. I would never have expected this type of scam from Lee Company.

Appears kind and professional however quite the opposite. Here are the facts of our experience. Unfortunately, we paid David Bryant, who said he is a licensed electrician, cash in full (totaling $3,200.00) for a job he failed to complete. He made errors and stated he completed the job yet when the Tennessee State Electrical Inspector came and failed us for the job David supposedly completed per code, the inspector confirmed that David in fact did not complete the items on the list that David said he completed. For example conduit supposedly wrapped in 80 grade was only 40 grade. David also put in old, outdated breakers that contributed to the failed inspection. After David acknowledged his mistakes to us via telephone and in verifiable text messages saying they were his errors and he would rectify those errors, the reality is we never heard from him again. After numerous calls and texts, and two weeks of waiting, we are deeply disappointed that he did not follow through with his promise to correct his mistakes. We ultimately ended up needing to hire and pay another electrician for the job we hired and paid paid David for that he failed to finish. He is not a man of honor, nor integrity, and does not complete his work in a professional manner. We do not recommend his services for the above-stated reasons.

I learned a valuable lesson today. I scheduled an estimate to have a few new outdoor receptacles put in. When booking the appointment, they make you agree to a Service Call charge - even for a quote. Assuming their quote would be in line with other quotes I was getting, I agreed.
This should have been the first warning sign.
When the tech got there, he was polite. However, his estimate was way higher than others I've received. In addition, other electricians provided different installation options which will save me a considerable amount of money than the way they wanted to do the installation.
When I commented on how high the estimate was, he magically dropped the price a bit - but not that much. He told me he has to quote a certain way and has no control over it. This might be so the techs can't charge what the service should be and instead charge what the company wants.
So it appears their business model is to charge people to come give an estimate that is way too high so they don't have to do the work and still pocket the service call fee.
Nice racket.

I had a kitchen cabinet with water damage and needed some trim added. The service was quick to respond and make an appointment and they were fast and efficient in doing the job. Pricing was great for the work they did. Will use them again if I have the need.

We are a long term customer of Lee Company.
We have spent thousands of dollars with them. New AC unit, water pump, service fees, etc.
We recently called them because we are interested in connecting our emergency generator to the house.
To come and give us an estimate they charge us a $75 dispatch fee
When I tell them I don't think I should pay that for them giving me an estimate, they say that for small jobs this is the policy. That if a project manager had come we would not have to pay that fee. The thing is that they are the ones who decide who to send.
On top of all that, it turned out this is a 4K job and a project manager has to come and give the exact estimate. When I say, so now that this is a big job with a project manager, can you please wave the dispatch fee. They say they can't do that

Lee Company tries to sell new HVAC system with scare tactics. Lee Company came to our house to tune up our HVAC for the winter (we were on a service plan...it has since been cancelled). The technician claimed we had a damaged main heat exchange after he inspected our systems. He proceed to explain to my wife (I was not home during this incident) that we were endangering our children lives with this issue and needed to repair ($5,000+/-) or replace the system ($12,000+/-). The endangerment was supposedly due to CO leak. (we have CO detectors in our house). Next, he proceed to shut the system off and scheduled a sales appointment for the following day. Keep in mind this is December 17th (its cold outside) so shutting the HVAC system down is an issue for a family of 5. This was all very fishy & seemed like complete B.S.
We decided to cancel the appointment that was essentially forced on us and called Joslin Plumbing for a second opinion on the HVAC system's heat exchange. (BTW we recommend Joslin out of Franklin, TN). Joslin came first thing the follow morning and confirmed that our system was totally fine & we had been completely mislead. We were also informed that Lee Company has a reputation for doing these types of things and I suspect their technicians are commissioned on sales as well.
Do not use this company...they are clearly attempting to take advantage of customers. If do choose to use them ALWAYS get a second opinion before taking them up on their sales team. I would give them a zero star but its not an option.

This is not good. I've been a LONG TIME CUSTOMER and MEMBER for 5 years. Something has changed with this company. I started asking for repair work 9 days ago. It took 2 whole days to schedule a reasonable work in time that wasn't between 1am and 4am. Then, when they finally came, it was apparent that we needed a new furnace and A/C unit. That was scheduled for Monday. $11,000 job. All day long install - no heat. Then, get the heat going by 6pm. Everything was running fine until the low voltage power wasn't connecting to the thermostat. Call for repairs. Have to work me in again at 3am. Not realistic. We ask to be put on the work in for today. No call. Call back to see the update. They can't give me an update. Still waiting for a work in on a repair that Lee Company did and I get no priority. Spent $11k and their mistake. No priority fix. This is ridiculous. Almost all people on the phones in scheduling seem to not really care - except one person today seemed have empathy and said she would see what she can do. Still waiting....

If you have money to just throw away go see Lee company. I bought my dad a new ceiling fan, so to take it down and put up the new fan on a 8 foot ceiling using a step stool to get to cost over 310 dollars for less than an hour of work. Thinking about become an electrician if that's the money there making. That is just the labor not including the fee to come to the house. Greed at its finest.
