Best Tankless Water Heater Installation in Minneapolis MN

I've had two very good experiences with Plumb Right. I really love these guys and I'm generally a little skeptical and cynical of contractors due to having been burned a few times before.

The customer service overall is excellent. It's easy to get in contact with them beyond calling (who likes calling anyone these days?!) via their website, email, Facebook or Angie's List. They're super responsive, getting back to you usually within an hour if not the same business day. They're friendly, polite and super helpful. Before getting any work done they get 3 stars. Soooo many contractors never get back to me, call and leave me long voicemails, tell me they're too busy... I know this is a basic expectation and should be easy to meet but time and time again, I'm surprised by how often others #epicfail at this but Plumb Right gets the #EPICWIN.

Next is their approach to estimating and planning... I wanted a shower installing in our carriage house above our garage and an addition to an industrial looking bannister rail leading up the stair that is made from gas piping (installed by the previous owner). The guys from Plumb Right came out within 24 hours to look at the space and to provide me with a free estimate, no call out charge - another #Win and justification for the 3 stars. What put them up at 4 stars is HOW they performed the estimate. I'm baffled when contractors pull numbers from thin air after taking a quick 30-second​ look at a job. Frankly, ​that approach pisses me. I want to understand HOW an estimate is calculated, I want logical, rationale and transparency not a 'gut feel' or 'ball park' because you can't be bothered or aren't able to provide me a better idea: I want to understand dimensions, materials, the steps that will be performed to execute the job, the rough level of effort, benchmark cost data if possible... These guys had their tape measures out, got on their knees, on their tip toes, they created a sketch to talk me through several different ways of performing the job, several risks that might incur additional cost during the job, several different trim levels and how those would alter the cost... perfect!!! Their quote fell in the middle of several others I received beforehand but of all of them. It wasn't the most expensive and it wasn't the most expensive, but I was most confident in the estimate Plumb Right provided me.

Finally the job - part one of two. They just finished the changes to the industrial looking gas pipe banister​ rail and it looks AWESOME. No joke, it looks exactly the way I hoped it would, better even!! The job took a little longer than anticipated and was a little more complicated than expected but thankfully that didn't incur a higher bill. The job was performed for the quote provided and the results are perfect.

Erik was the name of the gentleman who performed the work and I couldn't be happier with him. I'm looking forward to him returning next month to install the shower!! THANK YOU, ​ERIK! THANK YOU, ​ PLUMB RIGHT!!

I can't say enough good things about my experience. They were able to fit me in the same day when I reached out regarding needing to have my old, leaky outdoor spigot replaced. Nate came out and he was fantastic. He was super fair and kind and was working to find solutions that would be quicker, cheaper fixes before ultimately needing to go through the wall to replace it. I spent quite a bit of time comparing companies, reading reviews, and getting quotes. I am beyond pleased to have gone with Aart's Speedy Plumbing and wouldn't hesitate to work with them again! Our contractor John not only did what we needed him to do, but he did extra. We had issues with our water heater, and our thermostat. He was able to take care of my water heater and even show me steps on how to make my water warm. He helped me clean my furnace from debris and replaced my thermostat with one that worked. Now I have warm water and a warm house. A++ work and highly recommend them if you need any help with your water or air condition.

Geno was a life saver.

I had the fun of having a sewer backup in my basement right before I left on vacation. Geno came over with a camera, showed me the break in my line going out to the street.

With his help I was able to get the line fixed very quickly and at a cost that other companies were unable to match. Geno took care of pulling the proper permits and meeting with the city inspector as well.

Water heater corroded from inside and sprung a leak on Tuesday afternoon. Jeff from Soderlin came at 7:30 am Wednesday and got a new one installed for us. We use a side arm water heater system that works with our boiler. It was not inexpensive (these things never are), but Jeff was extremely professional and great to work with. He was respectful of our home and his work was efficient and tidy. Jeff made sure that our water heater and boiler were working in top shape before leaving. He was also very conscientious  about the water temperature not being too hot for our young children. I am very pleased with Soderlin's service!

Beware of this company. Matt's Plumbing billed me for $385 for 20 minutes of time that required no tools. I e-mailed them and requested that they contact me to discuss the over charge and the have completely ignored me. I have reported them the BBB also.

This is not a good company! We received a free quote from them for an AC unit replacement this past week. The specialist inspected our furnace and took home measurements to produce a quote. The next day, we noticed that our furnace was no longer working. The blower was on but no heat was being produced.
After trying to troubleshoot, we called BWS and asked them to come out and fix whatever they broke. They told us they would send someone out but if it was diagnosed as not their fault, the service charge would be $135 (to potentially not even fix the issue!). So we called the company that installed our furnace and they fixed the issue for the same cost.
It turns out that the BWS specialist flipped a switch inside the furnace that turned it off, while he was taking notes on the specs. There's no other way it could have gotten turned off as it is literally INSIDE the furnace (we obviously never root around in our furnace for fun!). Nice money-making setup, guys! They were extremely defensive and not at all apologetic when we called. Obviously the furnace had been working just fine up until the specialist removed the front panels to inspect it--it wasn't just a coincidence and they should have acknowledged that. Switches don't just flip themselves off.
The funny part is that when I was emailed the AC unit replacement quote from the specialist on Friday, he signed it, Thanks for the opportunity to earn your business. More like trick us into giving you money. Obviously we won't be going to BWS for any of our future heating or cooling needs. What an irresponsible and unprofessional company.

I asked for someone to come fix a leaking toilet and replace 2 valves.

Genz Ryan was prompt in replying to my phone call and making time that day to come out. His thorough review of my home was when things started to go south. The list he made of issues was alarming with my minimum request quoted at $1200. He told me I needed 10K worth of things fixed around my home.  

I called a local plumber for a second opinion - first, he quoted the job I asked for at $400 (ended up needing to replace a pipe and landing at $700 with parts and labor). He checked around my house some of the items on the urgent list.

Of the whole list, he said nothing was urgent. We could fix a few pipes under the sinks, but it would be minimal parts and labor.

No, my water softener did not need to be repaired. No, I did not need a new toilet, No, every fixture in all 4 bathrooms did not need to be replaced. No, there were NOT 4 leaking pipes. No, my disposal is NOT dying.

The plumber I ended up working with told me that Genz-Ryan is known for pricing high, and it's well known that they work on commission and look for things to fix.

No idea of the quality of this service as they never showed up for my scheduled tune up appointment. I waited over 2 weeks for an appointment and when the person didn't show up I called them.  First I was told I had the wrong date. I did not have the wrong date.  They called me back and said they had to reschedule my appointment but had FORGOTTEN TO CALL ME.  We had cleaned out the furnace room and were awaiting the results of the inspection to determine if we could do another home improvement or if we'd need a new furnace in the near future.  They REALLY caused problems for us by doing this!  I wouldn't waste my time with this company as they are obviously unreliable and have little concern for anyone's schedule other than their own. There are better providers out there who will put their customers first.
