Chris Urban is a master plumber. We have used Chris Urban twice now. I can handle most things around the house and I have attempted most things such as installed faucets, installed water filtration systems, water to ice maker and installed new water softener but occasionally come across things I just don't want to do/attempt or can't figure out. First visit was for a leak that I wasn't able to get to and diagnose so my wife had him over based on Yelp reviews. Chris diagnosed the issue and quickly resolved it. The next visit was a few days ago for an issue with our water heater and backdrafting. WE Energy just installed a new gas meter and while checking for leaks in the house he said the water heater wasn't exhausting properly. We had our HVAC (recently installed a new furnace) come out to see if they did something to change the exhaust that may have caused this issue. Nope, recommend calling a plumber as water heater is not HVAC issue. I called Chris and immediately he rerouted to our house as he was on his way to another job to assess the issue. Wow, I couldn't ask for more! He looked at it all and said there isn't any issue that WE Energy didn't know what they were talking about. Chris could have sold me on X, Y or Z issue and I wouldn't have known. So honesty is a strong trait with Urban's Plumbing. He didn't charge for the visit and explained what could have been the issue. Thanks Chris! I wouldn't hesitate to call Chris to do any job now and most likely will instead of me stumbling through plumbing work that I have no idea! If you are looking for a plumber, give Urban's Plumbing a call. I have him booked marked.

I'm pretty good with tools and have installed one water heater before. For me the whole job turned into a total nightmare. After been without hot water for an embarrassing length of time I gave up and called this 100 year old company. The technician named Rod came in and the job was completed in record time. Rod was not only very knowledgeable but also gave a detail explaination of the problem. The bill was very responsible. Any plumbing problem I have in the future is now a no brainer who to call. I give my best recommendation to Borkenhagen Plumbing & Heating. Thanks Rod!

County Road Plumbing is the BEST!!! We were working with a different plumber from Oconomowoc and asked him to wear a mask as we have health issues. The other plumber refused, and said if we had health issues we should leave the house while he worked. He was condescending and claimed that masks didn't provide any protection. We canceled him and called County Road Plumbing. From the minute they answered the phone they were friendly and professional. When we asked if they would wear a mask when working in the house, they said Of course! They were very respectful and didn't make us feel bad for asking. Pat did two projects at our house--installing a complicated kitchen faucet and fixing an outdoor faucet. He was very professional and did an incredible job. I highly recommend County Road Plumbing--they really know what they're doing and sincerely care about their customers.

This company is Awesome! We have used them for numerous installs and repairs for the past couple of years and have never been disappointed. We have had them install two new toilets, grab bars in the shower, a new garbage disposer and a new water heater. We have also had them check to see why our basement drain kept backing up and they fixed that problem. This last time we had them back because the new water heater they installed in January 2015 stopped working last month. No hot water! They made four trips to our house to try to fix the problem and it would work for a day or two, or last time a week, but they finally decided to order us a new one from the manufacturer and installed it yesterday. All of this was at no charge to us, no labor, parts, nothing! The owner, Jeff, even came on a Friday afternoon to get a new part installed. He has been great, always available through text or phone. He also called today to make sure the install went OK and that we weren't having any problems. Can't blame Cox for the water heater problems, we apparently got a deficient heater from Rheem. Everyone there is pleasant and helpful and willing to do whatever they can to help. You can't go wrong with these guys!

We used Borth-Wilson to gut and completely remodel an old bathroom. They were extremely organized, easy to work with and quick to complete the project on time. All employees were polite and neat. Getting in touch with them was also easy, and they were responsive to our needs. The timeline they proposed was ultimately what made our decision, as we didn't want a project that dragged out over months. That said, I'm not entirely certain that we got the highest quality of materials or workmanship for what we paid. I spoke with others who received a lot more bathroom for their $$$ than what we spent. I would recommend them, but certainly compare their prices with other contractors using the same materials.

I cannot say too many good things about the guys at Schoenwalders! Today Brian serviced my hot water heater, but he has taken care of our plumbing many times, over the years. My house is 110 years old, with all the quirks and idiosyncrasies you might expect in a place that old. A few days before Christmas last year, he said our problems in the main bathroom were due to the Victorian box trap on the tub. He replaced it with a modern one and had everything done before our guests arrived. I was ecstatic! I have lived in this house for 25 years, and after my next door neighbor recommended them, I have never used another plumber. They are unfailingly on time, friendly, polite and clean workers.

Actually LOVE Eric. We used him for a renovation few years ago when our house was hit by lightening. Actually fired the first company. We remember when he showed up a year or so later with a spanky new van. Doing well
So maybe with growth things slide a bit. We called last week as our outdoor spicket was faultering(they had installed it few yrs ago) and not sure it was working properly from the get go. Regardless, the tech came and didn't have the part. Would be in touch. However we had to call days later to determine status. Holly was very professional.
This morning the tech came with basic anti siphon part, installed in less than 10-15 minutes.
Okay...so what transpired prior was simply unprofessional. My husband and I simply asked if he would check the area around the toilet- discolored. Wanted his thoughts.
1) he didn't offer to take his shoes off
2) we simply asked if he was vaccinated (not to judge or pry) and he should have offered to wear a mask as several recent service people working for us have respectfully done. But instead he launched into a defensive discourse.
Whatever ...
3) the price was NOT justifiable charging us 1 hour for labor ??
We have referred Hagen several times to neighbors etc. not sure how we will move forward...

Sadly, my poor rating is due to the fact that over a month ago I called and was told that the person I would need was on vacation and would call me back. I was ever called back. Hesitantly I called them last week. Was told they would call me back the next day. Nothing.
Now, my project is delayed.

This was a long time ago, so I don't feel the need to elaborate much more. I do want to clarify however, since I was accused is sneaking out, which wasn't the case and attempts to discredit my review. As I mentioned, they made me late for my appointment because they arrived significantly late! I told them as they were inspecting , and before they were packed up that I would need to rush out as soon as possible, and at the time they seemed to understand this and agreed. Many, and at that time, most service providers I was working with either settled up by mail or phone. Given that I had spoken to them in advance, I think it's very unfair to characterize my leaving quickly as sneaking out!
If this is what the office manager who called me thought, that might explain why she was so rude and nasty to me. This experience would have been significantly less painful without her contribution. I also want to add that I took her call the moment I arrived back from my appointment. I didn't avoid her, and I paid in full even though I was no better off than when I had started. Much worse, in fact, for having a very unsettling experience. I feel it's necessary to add these details because the owner is so vigorously trying to discredit me.

Do yourself a favor and avoid. Terrible communication in addition to half finished and poor work. After hiring them to replace our closet doors they did half the job, and the work they did do left the doors ruined.
We had a verbal agreement with Donn that he would REPLACE all 4 of our doors with new ones. When he showed up with the finished work he had not replaced the doors, but rather sanded two of them and covered all of them in a brown 'restorative' oil. Immediately after they were installed, this brown oil was rubbing off on my hands, carpet, and clothes. We have had to since hire a whole new carpenter to redo ALL the work. When we contacted Donn and his wife Melissa for a partial refund, they vanished and have not responded to our phone calls. I am including a photo of a paper towel I wiped over the surface of one of our ruined doors. This substance they put on the doors wouldn't come off and we wound up having to remove the doors and throw them away. This was getting on my hands, carpet and clothing. Beware if you use them to get your job in writing and do not pay cash. We stupidly trusted them and wound up unhappy and swindled.

We have had Oak Creek plumbing do several plumbing jobs, including installing a new sump pump. The work was fine, the service men were quick and thorough, and the job prices were reasonable.
We also had them do a bathroom remodel job. While the job was completed on time, we noticed a crack in the vanity counter top late the evening it was completed. They came out the next morning, took pictures and I was told it would be sent back to the manufacturer, but either way, whether it was the manufacturer or OCP, it would be replaced at no cost to us. About three weeks later, I had not heard anything back so I contacted the company. The project manager called back (left voicemail) and said as I mentioned, it would be replaced at no cost and that it was being rebuilt. No estimate of timing, anything. Almost four weeks later I called back again to check on the status and was told it came in last week.
My issue with them was lack of communication on their part. If I had not called, I'm not sure how long I would have had to wait for my replacement counter top. I mentioned to the project manager several times during the project about their lack of communication.
I'm giving only an A-OK review because the work was completed, but I had to continuously follow up to get any information. When I finally had enough and complained, I felt the project manager was somewhat rude and that he thought I had no right to complain. For the amount of money I paid (it was a complete remodel/gut job), I should not have to follow up on my project.

We were in need of a plumber and we were given this plumber's name by a neighbor. Being from out of town, it was a bit of a challenge to schedule an appointment. We scheduled a time the following week and Brad showed up on time with a phone call that he was on the way prior to the appointment. The job was to get a toilet to flush properly. Routing and chemicalizing didn't help. Brad left with the chemicals in the toilet. We would try and flush later in the day. We did and the problem was still a problem. We called Brad, left a message. This was late on a Friday. The next Monday, we called Brad again, talked about them problem and decided that since the routing/chemicals didn't work, it would be best to replace the toilet. We scheduled a 10:00 A.M. appt. the following Thursday. Remember, we are from out of town and it is quite a drive to get to the site of the nearly no-flush toilet. 10:00 A.M. comes and no plumber. A bit later we call and are told that something else came up and that job is taking time and that the plumber will show up around 12:00 P.M. 12:00 P.M. -- no plumber. We call again and this time leave a message. A bit later, Brad returns the call and says he is on the way. Great. At 1:00 P.M., he shows up and gets to work. 3 hours late, but at least he made it. A couple of hours later, the problem is resolved. It took longer than expected since he ran into several issues. I guess that appointments later in the day suffered the same delays as we did. Brad DID solve the problem. Brad did a GOOD job. He knew what he was doing, He kept the site reasonably clean (4 stars). Labor, of course, cost more than parts. Cost per hour ... can't judge since we didn't know the going rate for the area, but he was honest about the time.
The ONLY issue we had was that Brad didn't call ahead of time when he was delayed. He knew we were from out of town and that it made timing appointments inconvenient. Being late ... can't help it always, but CALL.
Would we hire this company again? Yes.
