Best Kitchen Remodeling in Madison WI
Today was the third time we've used Capitol Plumbing in the last three years and I couldn't be much happier. Prompt, friendly, quick, tidy and effective! They come when they are needed. Today that was just an hour after I first called. Stan had said they would be here within an hour to hour and a half, but they got here in an hour and jumped right into the job of replacing some clogged cast and galvanized drain fittings in the basement. The job took less than an hour, and the problem was solved, the area cleaned up, and after a friendly thanks and have a great day all done. I can't comment on cost because I neglected to ask, but they've been very fair in the past. One of the plumbers was Doug, and I didn't catch the other guy's name, but they did great work. By the way, I like businesses where they answer the phone with the company name and the person's name. Thanks Stan, keep up the great job!

I met Dave and his team in 2018 for a home remodel. He is down to earth, thorough in his work and communicates well along the way. He is also very fairly priced. I have hired Dave for many additional jobs and referred to multiple friends. I highly recommend you give him a shot! -Ryan

It's taken me a long time to write this review because of how frustrating my experience was with Benjamin Plumping. I worked Billy from Benjamin Plumbing to replace a shell bathtub with a soaking tub and panels. Everything would be custom.
First, Billy came out with some color samples of the paneling. I chose a solid white color - so far so good. When the paneling was delivered, it was a white mottled with grey and black. I told him there had been a mistake, and that I had ordered the solid white. He tried to pressure me into keeping the tile by giving me a discount on it; I had to insist on the solid white before he agreed to have the paneling re-made.
Then the bathtub was delivered and installed by plumbers. The installation itself went ok, but in the process the walls were a little damaged - I get it, the bathtub is heavy and awkward and being installed into a small space. Except they didn't repair the damage. I had to point out the damage to Billy and ask that it be repaired.
Then people came to install cement board. They did a poor job and the board was curved past the plane of the wall. Again, I had to point out the problem to Billy before he agreed to have them come back and re-install it. Which they did. And the same problem happened! When I pointed it out to Billy he said he thought it was within tolerance. Ok...
So then people came to install the paneling. And they couldn't because the cement board was curved! They reinstalled it themselves (3rd time here) and then installed the paneling.
The paneling extended beyond the original paneling of the tub, so trim on one that side of a wall to the corner had to be removed - Ok, no problem. But they didn't finish the trim on the other side of the corner, which was now awkwardly sticking out because it didn't have a corner piece on the other side to match. Ok, no problem, but again I had to point this out to Billy.
So other people came to finish the trim. They made an unprofessional looking cut and in the process somehow cracked the paint on my wall. Ok, fine - but again I had to point this out to Billy and ask that it be repaired.
It goes on like this. People came to fix the holes in the walls. And Billy himself came to fix the trim, but it again didn't look finished; it looked like an electric saw had been used to make more cuts, blackening the wood, and nicking the tile underneath. When I told Billy about the blackened wood and nicked tile, he denied it. I've since had multiple professionals look at the trim as part of an estimate for repairing trim everywhere in my condo in preparation for sale, and they all agreed they couldn't believe that was the finished state.
At this point, I was so done. A week long job turned into many weeks. Jobs had to be redone multiple times. And at the end I was called a liar. I didn't want to have anyone else associated Billy or Benjamin Plumbing back. I paid the invoice and moved on.

They did a wonderful job. I needed my faucet's supply lines replaced. The tech came to my house on Saturday morning and took care of the job very quickly. He was friendly and professional. The cost was exactly what you would expect to pay for a repair like this. I am highly satisfied with the work that was done and especially how fast they were able to fix it for me. If I could give them a higher rating I would.

I called them. When I told them my address they informed me we don't work at [your condo]
Not that they don't do condos, just my specific one. No explanation. If their name comes up again I will encourage others to not use them.

Incredibly difficult to schedule anything... they can't even confirm if we can set an appointment for tomorrow.

Thursday morning, a leak sprang on the pipe connecting to our hot water heater which resulted in us needing to shut off all of the water to the first floor (and all of the hot water). I called around 8:30 a.m. The gentleman told me he needed to finish shoveling his driveway and he would be over. He made it over around 11. In less than 10 minutes he had assessed the problem but said he didn't have the parts and he would be back on Friday. We hadn't heard anything by 12:30 on Friday, so we called. He said he had an unexpected job come up but he would be here sometime that day. He didn't show up and he didn't call. We called late Friday to ask him to let us know when he thought he would be able to come. He didn't answer and he didn't call back. We assumed he wasn't going to come Saturday or Sunday. On Monday at 11 a.m. we still hadn't heard anything so we called. He said that he had another job but would get to it tomorrow. On Tuesday at 1 we called again. This time he said he has no idea what's wrong with it but he was going to come over in a few minutes to check it out. At 3:20 he still had not arrived so we called and he didn't answer. At 3:30 he called back and told us he's retired and doesn't do plumbing anymore. We tried very hard to be patient and accommodating, but we can't allow this behavior to go unreviewed.

Took advantage of my elderly parents. Sewer needed to be rodded out and charged them almost 15,000 dollars. They said they needed to send a camera all the way underground to the street so it would not back up in 30 years. My parents were in their late 70's and fell for it. I tried to stop the transaction. They advertise in church bulletins with senior discount.
