Received prompt professional service from Jeff and Matthew.  They were very courteous, helpful and did a great job.  My issue was pinpointed in minutes.  Although their estimates aren't the lowest but they are doing the job right and installing quality equipment to ensure lasting stability.

Our downstairs bathroom started to get mold on the ceiling.  To make a long story short, the upstairs bathroom shower pan was leaking.

After the mold remediation team had finished and seemed to narrow down the problem to either a drain issue or shower pan issue for the upstairs bathroom, my wife and I contacted approximately 10 general contractors and shower installation companies using various sources (including Yelp, Google Reviews, word of mouth recommendations, internet searches, etc) to provide their recommendations/proposals for our shower and bathroom.

During the processing of obtaining contractor quotes, we were not comfortable with most of the contractors for various reasons including high sales pitch tactics, lack of detailed explanation relating to waterproofing techniques that will be used during construction, extremely high prices, etc.  We eventually narrowed down the list of contractors to two (including Ixtapa).  However, after further comparison of both companies, we ended up choosing Ixtapa partially due to their quote being more inclusive of everything we wanted done (drywall repair, painting, among other items), their flexibility in recommendations that considered our budget, and most importantly, Ixtapa's clear explanation of their waterproofing techniques in which the utmost care would be taken during their multilayered waterproofing method to minimize any chances of the new tile shower leaking in the future.  Other companies were vague in mentioning only hot mopping as an explanation.  We just felt Ixtapa was the complete package when considering fair price, knowledge, customer reviews showing high quality craftsmanship, communication, etc.  Alex was a very good communicator and listener when we shared our concerns/ideas.  Alex was excellent at balancing our concerns/ideas with his expert advice/recommendations (this skill set Ixtapa apart from the rest of the other construction companies we talked to).

Jay, Alex's business partner, is the construction guru.  Jay is very personable and has high expectations of quality that meet not only his high expectations, but also the customer's.  Although Ixtapa has some workers in addition to Jay, Jay does the detailed design, measurements, and most of the detailed construction.

I liked how Alex made clear what materials Ixtapa provides (rough materials, etc) and explains in detail what materials the customer provides (tile, fixtures, etc).  Alex even provided us a shopping list of items to purchase, quantities of each item, etc.  This made it easier for us.  When it came to choosing a new vanity, Alex recommended a few places for us to look at vanity options.  We settled on a place and we were able to purchase the vanity with Ixtapa's contractor's discount to save some money.  When I was stressed about some issues with vanity options while my wife was out of town on business, Alex took time out of his busy schedule to meet me at the store to help me through my struggles.  With the assistance of my wife by phone, and Alex's help, we were able to make a decision that worked out very well (thank you Alex!).

Ixtapa showed flexibility when we requested changes to the scope of work related to the niche, additional recessed lights, installing the additional exhaust fans in our other bathrooms, among some other changes.  Ixtapa was able to provide a custom glass shower per our requested specifications of partially obscured (middle 50% obscured, the top 25% and bottom 25% clear glass).

Jay and his crew did excellent work.  As other reviewers have stated, Jay is a master craftsman.  Jay and his Ixtapa crew handled everything from the demo, plumbing (installation of new shower drain with weep holes, etc), electrical (exhaust fan, led lights, gfci, etc), shower framing, multilayered waterproofing of shower, tile installation/grouting (shower, bathroom floor), installation of vanity & recessed medicine cabinet/mirror, installation of fixtures, drywall/trim/texture/paint, etc.  The only items/services subcontracted out by Ixtapa to different companies were the hot mopping of shower pan and the manufacturing/installation of the custom glass shower door.

A couple of small/minor issues after completion of the bathroom project were taken care of by Ixtapa.  The end result is fabulous!

We very much look forward to working with Ixtapa in the future with another project or potentially more than one project.

Andy came quick to check out the issue we were having at our home with the plumbing. He was very professional, he explained in detail what was causing the problem and how he could fix it. I will definitely use E-Z flow plumbing again for any plumbing problems we may have in the future. I can't say enough wonderful things about Leo. I've already gave him a great review for some work he did on my house and on a rental property from roofing work, new fencing,  plumbing and everything in between. I am now giving him another fantastic review for the work he did on another rental property that needed a complete renovation. Basically the house needed to be complely upgraded. He was able to do it all. From replacing all the faucets, re- grouting the bathtub, shower and sinks, re-coating the bathtub and fixing all the broken drawers. He repaired all the interior and exterior cracks. He added a new front door, he replaced all the blinds, he fixed the kitchen bay window. He replaced the difficult light switches for one light go on and off from both switches. He fixed the heater. He did the cement work from the front stone area before the entry stairs that had a gap between that area and front yard. Plus the plumbing that went from the sump pump out to the front yard. He was able to do all these odd repairs with no problem. He explained everything that needed to be done. He provided pictures of the problems. He purchased all the item that were needed to do the job and provided the receipts. He went out of his way to get the job done and in a timely manner. He truly wanted to help anyway he could. Plus he was so pleasant to work with. To top if off his prices were reasonable. I can go on and on but it boils down to that I highly recommend Leo for anything you need done on your property. Worked with Jeremiah for two separate projects. Wall patching/painting and fixing a kitchen drawer track.  He was wonderful to work with. Great communication and sent pictures on completion of each job, since they were on rental properties. So glad I found him!

Tomas did an excellent job fixing a water damaged wall and installing a new sink and toilet. He works hard and takes his time to do the job right. Will definitely use him again in the future.

Great work by Danny! He fixed our falling drapes problem by reposition the original installation, patch up, and touch up with original paint. Highly recommended!

Johnny responded to my request from yesterday today and did a fast and efficient job with work in my bathroom. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He also helped me with evaluating other potential jobs in my house. The estimates he gave me were extremely reasonable. I highly recommend this company

Just so you know, at the time of my service Purdy Plumbing is basically a 1 man show. He basically runs his business all by himself. He does have helpers but he runs it by himself. I called 3 plumbers because my bathroom drains were Very, VERY slow. Out of the 3, Ryan was the only one to call me back. (THE ONLY ONE!!!) I called on a Monday and was told he might be able to get out on Tuesday, but he could not promise that he would make it. But he did tell me he would be out on Wednesday for sure and could only promise 12 pm or sometime after 2 PM. I was OK with that, because it was not an emergency and he knew that in advance. Plus ( I had an appointment somewhere I had to be at 12) So he based his time estimates on the fact that it was not an emergency. He actually did not make it out until almost 4 PM. But he did keep in contact with me to let me know. Busy Busy man doing incredible work

Let me tell you it was worth the wait. The bathroom drains were cleared by his helper (sorry I am bad with remembering names.) In basically no time at all!! And while that was being done Ryan fixed the pipes in the kitchen. They were not routed properly. Ryan did not charge me extra for the kitchen. Can you believe that?? Did not charge me for extra work. Nobody does that. (NOBODY!!) And he did all that even though I was just asking about the kitchen for the next time I was going to schedule them out.

Now for the non plumbing stuff. Before I let them in, I put the dogs in the backyard. When they saw my pups Ryan mentioned that His dog resembled my dog and wanted to meet them. So I let them in to meet them. After that we talked a little bit and not noticing that I left the front door open, my pups snuck out the front door. They both dropped everything and ran out with me to help gather them up. We got lucky and found them with in a couple of minutes. Thank god!! LOL.
They even apologized although it was my fault.

I mentioned to Ryan that we are going to remodel the bathroom and he told me he had a contact that does remodels so I walked out to his van to get the contact info and I must have distracted him because his keys got locked in his van. Knowing that he had his last appointment to get to, I told him not to worry and I grabbed my lock out kit and got him on his way. He insisted on paying me for that. I tried not to take anything for it because its just the right thing to do. But he insisted that I take something.

Ryan and his crew are those kind of people that you want to keep in your contacts forever. It is hard to find HARD WORKING and HONEST people like them at Purdy pluming. So when you do, you hold onto that contact info forever and tell everybody you can.

Thank you for the fast and quality work! The rep came out and was able to repair what another company told me I needed to replace. This saved me money and I am grateful for that right now. He told me exactly what needed fixing and what did not and he was very knowledgeable and polite. Pleasure to do business with rs3m.

Would not use again under any circumstances. I set an appointment for Jorge to come do home repairs, and as the time came for the appointment, he was nowhere to be found. I tried to call him multiple times, and after an hour Jorge finally answered. To my disappointment, he said he was working on a different job and wouldn't be able to come meet me or help with my repairs.

Would not recommend.

Victor is great! He is super easy to communicate with via text and makes himself available within a few days to answer a service call!

He re-routed our dryer venting from our garage to the outside of our home and was very reasonable on pricing, we have called him for other handy work around the house and are talking with him now about doing some more work around the house.

He's also pretty creative and has sent us some suggestions for what to do for recessed lighting, as well as made some recommendations around cabinetry for a sink and electrical wiring by our TV mount.

Minde was super helpful and useful. He completed all necessary tasks that i asked him to do and would recommend him to anyone that is in need of a handyman. Before he comes he asks for a brief description of what needed to be done and after providing some photos, he gave me an estimate of how much it'll cost. Would highly recommend!

Fredd was awesome! He came out and fixed a slab leak that was causing major issues in an emergency situation. He was the only plumber we called that was able to come out right away and he took care of it quickly. He showed me the problem and told me how he was going to fix it and did the job. Seeing him work I can tell that it's a lot of hard work and it requires a lot of expertise and Fredd displayed both at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Fredd's Handyman Services.

Highly recommend! I've hired Mr. Harris for several plumbing jobs and handyman work at my multifamily property in LA and he does great quality work! He is also very reasonable with pricing as I've called around to get quotes from other companies and Mr. Harris beats their prices every time.
