Jay is a fabulous contractor and craftsman.  We could not be happier with the work that Jay did in our home and in our dealings with him.  Being six months pregnant and going through a renovation may not be an ideal experience but Jay put us completely at ease, and actually made the remodel pleasant.  We have an addition to our Long Beach ranch home that was put on by a previous owner, and was poorly laid out.  We had to walk through a bedroom to get to another bedroom.  Jay reconfigured the lay out and rebuilt a beautiful bedroom for us that we will now use as a nursery.  He was able to close off the room we used to have to walk through, and build hallways and fabulous closets for us, making our home much more functional.  He took down and rebuilt walls, installed new bamboo flooring, shaker style closet doors, windows, crown moulding, and more.  He also does upgrades you may not expect.  He made our floors seamless and gave us beautiful recessed lighting that was much nicer than what our previous contractor installed.  Jay does not cut corners, and went beyond our expectations.

In addition to being an honest, reliable, and reasonably priced contractor, Jay is simply a pleasant person to be around and have working in your home.  He is friendly and warm, hardworking, and a family man.  We feel really fortunate that we found Jay and would love to hire him back for future jobs.  Both my husband and I have jobs where we put in long hours.  It was nice to have Jay in charge to fix any issues that came up and find the materials we needed to complete the job.  It really put us at ease, and we trusted him completely.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Leo. I've already gave him a great review for some work he did on my house and on a rental property from roofing work, new fencing,  plumbing and everything in between. I am now giving him another fantastic review for the work he did on another rental property that needed a complete renovation. Basically the house needed to be complely upgraded. He was able to do it all. From replacing all the faucets, re- grouting the bathtub, shower and sinks, re-coating the bathtub and fixing all the broken drawers. He repaired all the interior and exterior cracks. He added a new front door, he replaced all the blinds, he fixed the kitchen bay window. He replaced the difficult light switches for one light go on and off from both switches. He fixed the heater. He did the cement work from the front stone area before the entry stairs that had a gap between that area and front yard. Plus the plumbing that went from the sump pump out to the front yard. He was able to do all these odd repairs with no problem. He explained everything that needed to be done. He provided pictures of the problems. He purchased all the item that were needed to do the job and provided the receipts. He went out of his way to get the job done and in a timely manner. He truly wanted to help anyway he could. Plus he was so pleasant to work with. To top if off his prices were reasonable. I can go on and on but it boils down to that I highly recommend Leo for anything you need done on your property. Would absolutely recommend. We had a time sensitive project repairing water damage in some drywall and he exceeded our needs in time, efficiency and quality of his work. His pricing was very affordable.

I do not normally write reviews. In the case of Handy Danny I have to leave one.  Danny was reliable and prompt each day.  From the initial estimate to the last day on the job.  He completed a conversion of a void furnace enclosure into a now useful utility closet.  Danny was able to give suggestions which I liked and incorporated it into the project.  I was on site while he worked and he made sure I was happy with each detail as the project progressed.  Danny finished the project in the estimated time and he worked around my adult children as they were coming and going.  At the completion of the project he made sure I was totally satisfied with the project before final payment.  He cleaned up the work area making sure all debris was gone.  I cant be happier with the completed work.  I already have discussed a second project with him which will possibly take place in a month or so.  If you are in search of a reliable craftsman with keen attention to detail than Danny is your guy.

Johnny & crew at AMI did a great job painting our garage.  It's an old wood structure that had peeling paint and age-related damage.  It's obvious from the quality of the paint job that a lot of attention was given to the prep work (filling cracks, sanding, etc.).  Johnny & his crew left the worksite immaculate, and even took extra steps to protect a neighbor's car from any over spray.  Plus, communication about all aspects of the project was excellent.  Thanks, AMI!

Ryan saves the day...  I had a clog in my main line in the front. I dug it up to find a crack in the clay pipe. I had a lot of other projects going on in my complete home remodel, so this was the last thing I wanted to tackle right now. Saw Purdy on Yelp and thought I'd give them a shot.  Job was quoted by one of their new guys on a sewer main. Showed the guy what I found  and said I wanted 4 feet replaced. He quoted an amount and said if more than 4 feet needed replacement the price would go up. It turns out I did half the digging for him and he was done quickly. I asked if he could put a camera down and he said make an appointment and pay 4 times more than I paid another plumber to do this. I said I paid for 4 feet to be replaced and he did less than half of that, at least I should get a discount. He was rude and patronizing. He did say since I had a problem he'd call his boss. His boss, Ryan, came over and finished the job. Ryan sent the new guy home and halved my price and put a camera to investigate. He went way above and beyond, so I feel obliged to give a five star review. Thank you Ryan!

I had low water pressure throughout the home and had no idea why. Everything came to mind, is it a slab leak, pinhole leak at a pipe and etc. I was so stressed. Submitted a quote request on Yelp and 4 companies came up. I read the reviews for each company and decided on Beach Plumbing. They responded and explained they could come out to inspect the issue, no charge unless they had to actually take something apart or open (then there might be a fee). That was my take on it. It's good that they said that so I would know ahead.

They gave me a time frame between 9 am - 11 am for the next day, which was today. I received a phone call at 9 am that they would arrive about 25 minutes. Chad the owner, showed up. I explained the situation to him and he already knew the problem. Someone had turned the water valve horizontal which reduced the water pressure. He turned it parallel down and the water pressure went back to normal. Oh my gosh, that was the reason, ugh! If I ever catch the person who did it, Godzilla is coming out. He didn't charge me for that. But since he was here, I had him flush the water heater tank. He tightened the spigot, I think that's what it's called and he saw that water was still coming out. He told me to watch it for a couple of days to see if it's still leaking. If it does, give his office a call. I learned a lot from talking with Chad. He's very friendly, honest and professional.

I would definitely use Beach Plumbing again but I hope that I won't need to contact them. When Chad left he said have a good day and hopefully you won't see me again.

This is the first time that I've used RS3M Construction. We needed our residential backflow device tested. RS3M came to my rescue! After another company had our paperwork for six weeks, they never tested our device! I had one day left, until the due date for the test to be completed. Ricardo responded to my request within 2 hours. He scheduled his technicians to come out the next day (in the morning) to test our backflow device.  He told me what the price would be, so there would be no surprises. This company communicates the entire time, so you know exactly what is going on.  They are on time too! They even called me to let me know that the report was submitted to the city.  These are awesome people. My faith in people has been restored!

After a promising start, the problems just got worse.

We needed some work done in the bathroom, ended up with almost a full bathroom remodel.
'Asked' for additional 10% a day before the work was to be completed, finish work was very poor, drains for sinks were leaking and the shower - behind the new tile!
Called Jorge and his response was You should be able to handle it but to let him know if I had any trouble.
Well, I had trouble and now he refused to fix it, saying I can't do that work because I am not licensed and don't have insurance.

We are not unhappy with with all of the work. He is a good handyman and we likely would be happy if only the work we originally wanted was done. We are now left with a bigger and potentially more costly problem than we started with.

Had Victor out to replace an old existing ceiling fan. Was prompt, courteous and did a wonderful job for a VERY reasonable price. While he was here, spent some time discussing future projects that I will be using him for.

Highly recommended.

Minde did a fantastic job painting our base board and caulking the cracks all over the staircase. He also fixed our drawer too. You can tell he really took his time and the quality of his work is great! His pricing is reasonable. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a handyman!

Fredd was awesome! He came out and fixed a slab leak that was causing major issues in an emergency situation. He was the only plumber we called that was able to come out right away and he took care of it quickly. He showed me the problem and told me how he was going to fix it and did the job. Seeing him work I can tell that it's a lot of hard work and it requires a lot of expertise and Fredd displayed both at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Fredd's Handyman Services.

I was in search for someone to install my new kitchen sink and faucet, and I am glad that I found Mr. Harris. He was very responsive on the phone when I reached out to him and was able to provide same day installation.  His expertise showed throughout the installation process as he was quickly able to identify the installation steps and the necessary parts required.  Installation manuals for the sink and the faucet weren't necessary since this type of work is second nature to him.  Mr. Harris provided a competitive pricing and informed me that I can call him anytime if there are any issues.  The kitchen looks exponentially better with the new sink and faucet thanks to Mr. Harris, and I would highly recommend him for any handyman and plumbing work in the local area.
