Best Boiler Services in Austin TX
HIGHLY recommend Pure Plumbing Service! Ive been trying to fix a clog for about 2 weeks now on my own. I finally broke down and decided I needed professional help. Mark knew exactly what was going on and as it was an easy fix, he walked me through it. He is very knowledgeable and professional. I wont go to anyone else for plumbing services in the future. Thank you Mark!

The problem: AC stopped blowing cold air in the middle of the Austin summer. System is about 25 years old.
The GOOD: They came out quickly, Domingo was nice, it was a free service call.
The BAD: Domingo said the only fix was to replace the whole system to the tune of $5,000+. Bad leak inside the coil that couldn't be replaced b/c of it's age or something. Luckily, I went to the trouble of getting a second opinion (Del's). They came right out, and low and behold the only problem was a failed capacitor (apparently a very common problem in the middle of the summer), switched it out and $175 later we're back in business. The second guy said they didn't see anything having to do with a leak.
I don't really know what to make of the misdiagnosis. It's either really sloppy or really dishonest to give me such a wrong diagnosis, especially considering the difference in price tag. As mentioned, the system is pretty ancient and I won't be surprised when the thing does finally really kick the bucket and I have to sink some cash in, but apparently the old dog may have a few years in her yet.

I used daniel's plumbing last year for unclogging a pipe, cost me 358$ for about one hour work, and they told me it is the tree root breaking into my pipe, and they gave me a quote of 1600$ to fix it. I was short of the budget by then so I wait for about 10 months. When I called them January 2010 to come fix the pipe, they told me the quote is increased to 2400$! It is almost 50% increase! After I negotiated with them, the final price went down to 2100$, still very expensive. Here comes the best part, after they dug a huge hole and replace the pipe, they forgot to put the dirt back on for two months! I don't understand how that happen and very disappointed with their working ethics. I will not recommend to the other potential customers

After investigating the low water pressure in one of my bathrooms for all of 15 minutes he told me that he would have to cut in to my wall to find a clogged pipe to repair, $1200. I said that at that price I would need to get some other quotes. He then told me that he was a master plumber and this was definitely the issue...
I had a new plumber come in the next day. He spent close to an hour investigating the issue before determining that my water pressure was fine but my faucets had gone bad. He showed me how to replace them and didn't even charge me a fee to come out. I replaced them myself for around $200. Thankfully there are still some honest people out there...

Should have paid attention to the negative reviews. $79 show up fee - fair. Then $760 to change some pool wiring. I had other quotes in the $300 range, which seems ok for a 2 hour job. When I told them it was too much they magically found something they didn't need to do to lower the price to $660. Hmmm... Still more than $330 an hour to run some wire! Must be nice to make that kind of money. Can't comment on work quality because I opted to find someone else to hire.
