YELP! That's what I did when I saw the price to have my outdoor drain cleaned. Over $400! (Just under with the on-line coupon, actually, but still.)

The technicians were very nice and polite and efficient. They do this cool foot cover thing when in your home to avoid tracking dirt and such. But charge me less and I'll vacuum and mop.

The quality of the work remains to be seen with the arrival of predicted thunderstorms. I considered an additional star for the niceness of the plumbers, but Roto-Rooter was $100 less and just as nice. So, just 2 stars because I've experienced better.

Think I'll invest in a drain snake...

SCAM! Agree with many other reviewers. DO NOT use this plumber. He charged me $700 for less than an hour of work just to change two valves in a bathroom. I watched him the entire time he was here so I know exactly what work he did and what parts he used, which couldn't have been more than $15 of parts max. I questioned him on the price when he said $700, and he gave me a line about doing only flat pricing whether it took him 1 hour or 5 hours. CRAZY!

To be fair, I thought he did pretty good work and came out same day. But still was not worth the price, and left me feeling ripped off and pissed off for months after.

DO NOT use this service. I had a very similar experience to all of the 1 star reviews. This guy (Derrick) is a scammer. He charged us $60 for a 90-second assessment of a leaking shower faucet, after which he concluded (after looking at the situation for about 10 seconds) that the entire wall from the adjacent room would need to be drilled through in order to fix the leak (which was going to cost over $1100). He said that the faucets used in the shower were some cheap brand from China and he would have to replace the entire faucet system in that shower as well.

After he left, we looked more closely and the brand of the faucet is Pfister, which is a very well-known American brand. We were able to find the replacement part on Home Depot for $23 and plan to fix this ourselves. I am planning to report Derrick and this company to the Better Business Bureau.

Based on our experience, and on the other reviews, I highly recommend you DO NOT USE this company.

SCAM!! This person (Derrick) operates under several business names but it's the same guy, same company.
We moved into our house and had a plumbing issue in the basement, clogged pipe and drain.
He came and insisted that he needed to remove the basement toilet and charge us $500 to do so...then he ran a camera through the pipe which causes a clearing of the pipe. Then his equipment didn't work because of our electricity.
We basically paid a huge amount to look at a shitty clogged pipe. A week later we had the same issue!!
We called Streamline (amazing btw) and within the hour he had our pipes clear from street to drain then throughout the house, he didn't even need to touch the toilet!! And he knew the scam this guy was running.
We cancelled the check we wrote to these people because their website clearly states that if it doesn't work then u don't pay, so we didn't pay a large portion of this scam thank god!
Beware of this guy, look at pictures and if someone says they need to run a camera or if there is a charge just for coming to your door DO NOT use them!!

The absolute worse plumbing service ever.  Upon calling and speaking with Lauren I was told about the 89.00 service fee and assured that  the plumber would be there in 25min. One hour and a half later and two calls he finally arrived with an attitude. He proceeded to go to the basement where the leak was located. He looked at the pipe from 3 feet away and said you need a valve and the cost is $501. We refused service and he said whatever it's still 89.00. My husband wrote him a check and he proceeded to exit the property in a huff without any receipt.

I will never use the service again.  I was more appalled to find out the owner Derrick Jackson was the plumber who responded to the service call. Unexceptable! Zero stars if it would be allowed.

I wish I saw Amy's review before I called them.  Same guy, Derrick, showed up and told me he had to cut open my wall to remove pipes. Quoted me at $2,000 and basically argued with me about how he does this all day and that my pipes are definitely going to need to be replaced behind the wall.  He ended up charging me $350 to spend 10 minutes snaking out a clogged pipe and never fixed the original problem.

The plumber who came out took one look at it and said that it was just an old soddering job to brass and showed me how it was only the pipe outside the wall that was bad.  He fixed the issue in about an hour, replaced the trap and drain with all new parts, and charged me less than Derrick.

What a scam We had a plumber come out last week to check on a clog in the drain. After inspecting the basement for 2 minutes he came back to tell me that he could not get to the access point on the main drain and would need to cut the pipe to then clean the drain. I challenged his assumption that he couldn't get to the pipe because we had that pipe replaced less than a year ago and I knew the access point was accessible but he insisted. He then gave me a quote of $1,205 for the gold fix and $773 for the silver fix. I mean come on! What ever happened to just fixing the issue for an appropriate cost. It was then that I paid the $60 to show up (which I knew about and expected) and told him I would get additional quotes and call if I need them. A few days later we had ABLE Plumbers come out (for free) and check the plumbing. Lo and behold he easily opened the access point on the main drain and quickly realized the issue was a clog that was out in the street. After snaking the drain outside we were FIXED. And the best part, it only cost us $160.

So here is my issue. I called Precision Plus and told them I felt like I was scammed. I felt like that particular plumber didn't event try to access the drain because if he did he would have realized the issue. If he did, the problem would have been an easy fix and they wouldn't have made $1,200+ on me. If he did, they would have gotten my business and I would be a continuous customer. But not only did he not try to actually fix the problem, but he quoted me an outrageous number for the gold fix and when I called to express my concern I was practically ignored. I asked for my $60 and they refused.

What happened to the customer is always right? In this day and age where reviews and word-of-mouth are priceless I would have expected more.

Moving forward, I will warn everyone I know to not use Precision Plus. This is unacceptable.

This place is a joke.  Their pricing is double to triple what other places quote.  I had them come out and quote to snake a stack pipe.  $500 for the work.  Just for them to come out is $60.  I told him to leave.  I called up South Philly Drain.  My quote from him was $120.  Even with the $60 I was burned with from Precision, I was in the plus.

I am also writing this almost 6 month from when service was done.  I still have not gotten over it.

I had a leak and called Precision Plus Plumbing.  They quoted me a price range of $900-1700 which involved placing a variety of parts and fixtures that were not broken (and which they wanted to replace with an inferior brand).  After paying the mandated $50 service fee, I told them I would not be using their services and called another plumber.

With the other plumber, I paid $100 to have the issue fixed with ZERO of the parts needing replacement, just a little soldering.

Precision Plumbing uses a weird pricing tier to price quote.  I had a shower issue, so the service cost was automatically fixed at $900 - regardless of how minor the issue was - and it was VERY minor.  The workers would not itemize or break down what was included in the $900.  I was basically told, it is a shower issue, this is how much it costs to repair.

What a complete jerk Derrick was.   Came over and acted like he just worked there and couldn't do anything about the price!  He wanted to charge me $1000  to replace a $25 shower valve!  What a loser.  Then he demanded I pay $60 to just show up !! What a loser.  SHOP AROUND!!  This guy is a SCAM!!!

Derrick was incredibly unprofessional and not helpful. We explained our plumbing situation and Derrick asked us what we wanted him to do. I am sorry, but we called a plumber because we did not know what to do and needed someone to tell us our options! His first two options were $1700 and $1300 to fix a valve on a shower. Finally we were able to get a $700 option out of him but this was after a lot of attitude on his part and us asking specifically how much simply replacing the valve would cost. Why was this option never presented in the original presentation of options?  I felt scammed by this company and frustrated by the attitude. I would never call this company again.

Called Precision Plus Plumbing to take a look at a leak that started under our bathtub.  The drain assembly was loose and required a fix and Derrick stated that we needed to replace the drain assembly for $1100.  Yeah, $1100.  I asked why it was so expensive and he said it was a complicated fix.

We were in a tough spot with just having moved into the house and the holidays approaching, so we let him do the work.  His work was well done with a 5 year warranty, but we definitely feel he took advantage of us.  All in all, it took him a total of 2.5 hours with minimal issue.  The parts probably didn't cost $100, and even if they did, you're looking at $400/hour...

We will never go with them again or recommend them.  And to be honest, I got the sense that Derrick felt he had taken advantage of us as he was leaving.  For us, we'll make more money, but he has to live with the fact that he took advantage of some folks who just moved into a new house.  Way to take advantage.  After talking to a plumber friend of mine, he figures it should have been a $300 fix.

We've hired Precision Plus at least half a dozen times over the last five years, for projects ranging from a bathroom remodel to kitchen drain cleaning. Their crews have always been on time and professional, they stand by their warranties, they explain their pricing up front, and the rates are reasonable given the high quality of their work. Highly recommended.

SHould have read the reviews.  Precision Plus Plumbing is awful, unprofessional and a compete rip off.  Before even looking into the problem, the technician told me I needed a new water heater and that it would cost  $3000 (3x what it should cost!).  He then charged me $200 to light the pilot and acted like he was doing me a favor.  Sure enough, hours after he left, the water turned cold again and I cant get a full refund.  AWFUL PLACE DO NOT CALL THEM!!!!!!!!   There are a few precision (plus) plumbing companies listed here. To be clear, I am referring to  precisionplusplumbing.com

So, typically I don't bother with reviews but as a woman, I do feel some moral sense of obligation to point out to other women when I think we're getting blatantly scammed. This is one such instance. Sure Derrick showed up on time and was polite enough, but from the moment he handed me his card with women love us (see lipstick print in place of the 'o' in 'love'), it was nothing other than don't you worry little lady. He wouldn't break anything into line items delineating labor or materials but told me they're packages that come from a book but I'M ALREADY GETTING A DISCOUNT (read: don't you worry, little lady). Almost a $1300 quote to replace/install 4 valves in standard copper piping. 4, not 40. Told me he'd have to work harder because the pipes wouldn't be dry but DON'T WORRY, THAT'S HIS CONCERN (read: little lady). Plus a $59 fee, just for stopping by. Misogyny doesn't come free. I call the office, thinking they might be able to give me a line item break down. She tells me Derrick will call me. I explain, we've been through that already, but low and behold, I get a call from Derrick 3 minutes later and he explains to this (little) lady how pricing isn't broken down like that. It's like a ordering a platter of bacon and eggs and getting it for one price. Oh yeah, I get it now. Because breakfast food costs $1300... So after explaining how I'm a project manager who regularly deals with construction folk, and I won't accept any jobs on my contracts that aren't broken down by parts and labor, Derrick begrudgingly produced these ludicrous numbers of $318 for some valves and $475 for others and then said he would be in and out in a couple hours. Well this little lady has already deduced that your material cost is nil and your HORRIBLY inflated labor cost breaks down to about $600/hour. So needless to say I started asking around for word of mouth referrals and in less than 24 hours I had a reputable plumber who  charged $600 total (for all that bacon and eggs). No Derrick, women don't love you, unless they are vapid and eager to spend their husband's money. Pull your head out of your 1920s minded ass and treat your customers like intelligent humans, regardless of sex. Also, if you scam men with these ridiculous rates (and from looking at the reviews below, it looks like you might), then you're just a dick and I hope your business goes under. Anyone reading this, literally go anywhere else. Nittany Mechanical is highly reputable for plumbing.

They did great work, but the cost was very high ($700 for what another plumber quoted $300).  They did come out quickly, on a weekend, and did a great job.  However, I would only use for a real emergency, as you are paying a good deal for convenience.

I called precision plus for a hot water heater issue and for the first time I didn't check reviews.  I REALLY should have.
They told me the only option I had was $2500.00- $3300.00 for a new system. They told me the one I had was installed wrong and was not vented correctly.   Thankfully I called someone who know and they told me to get them out of the house.
The part I needed for the heater was $450.00 but we did opt for a new one and ended up spending $700.00 with installation.
They are not trustworthy at all.

This place is OVER PRICED and OVER RATED. The technician showed me a choice of three water heaters ranging from $1900- $3700. Trying to stay within my budget and being unfamiliar to plumbing prices and practices, I chose the lesser value. The total cost to install a  standard 40 gallon hot water heater and replace a shut off valve cost me $2,184. Out of curiosity, I spoke to a few friends and called several companies to get a price quote for the same work. To my surprise, three companies gave me prices between $750.-$900. Do your homework and  SHOP AROUND. Get estimates from other companies before you choose Precision Plus Plumbing.
