Bacon's Drain Cleaning and Plumbing

The basement toilet at my folks' old home was broken. Mr. B responded very quickly to my yelp request, even though it was a weekend. He gave me clear prices for different options. On the first visit, after they removed the old one, they found the old one was directly bolted into the cement below and wasn't installed in the standard way, and to put the new one in place, additional stuff needed to be installed first. So Mr B sent me pictures and gave me 2 options, either to plug up the hole (easy and cheaper) or install with the additional things for a little more. My folks needed the 2nd one so we went for option 2. They paid a second visit on Saturday morning and got the job done. My folks were satisfied.

Removed my old, leaky toilet and installed a new one in just over half an hour -- in and out quickly, and did a great job! I also very much appreciate that he wore a mask. Overall, no complaints. Would hire again!

Excellent sales and service! These guys are absolutely down to earth, honest and upfront.  We needed a new hot water tank because our 10 year old tank went bad. They found and installed a new 40 gallon gas hot water tank very quickly..changed all the venting and made sure everything was correctly done and cleaned up.  Communication is excellent and they explained everything and answered all questions.  These guys totally deserve 5 stars!  I will not hesitate to call them back in the future! Definitely check them out.

The guys were very friendly, honest, and professional. They did an awesome job and I will definitely use them as my go to plumbers for now on. Family owned and awesome people. The girl who takes the calls was also super nice and fast at getting back to me with scheduling and any other questions I had.

They came to our need quickly and were very knowledgeable and thorough.  They even came back a couple days later to check ensure issue was addressed free of charge!  Would definitely call them again as needed!

First time I used these guys I explained what I thought I needed. They gave me an estimate and came out to do the work. This is not a plumbing company. It's one man who hires DIYers or  freelancers from different regions of the US to serve the local clients. I got a chance to deal with one of them. His name is Jason. I asked him to install hot and cold water shutoff valves with water supply lines in my bathroom sink. What he did is on the picture. I kindly asked him to install two identical valves but he refused saying it's all I have and left. I emailed to the owner but he said Jason got sick and he was unable to check his work. To be honest,  I don't know how this company got so many positive reviews. Probably all the family members and friends have been involved. As for me - If I could have given them minus zero I would but the lowest  rating is one star.

These guys are top notch.  Needed some work done in the house near pitt and they came out for a free look at the problem.  Then they came out to do what we thought was a shower faucet repair.  Turned out to be a bigger but less intensive repair.  They took care of our issues quickly, efficiently and for a great price.  Justin and Bob are top notch.  Great people to work with.  Being from Nashville and seeing all varieties of contractors in our new Tennessee home, I can honestly say these guys are A+ in my book.

I had a clogged toilet issue and decided to reach out to Bacon's after having a bad experience with a plumber my home warranty company used in the past. I chose Bacon's based upon all the positive reviews they had on Yelp and fully see why they get their 5 star rating.

The scheduling was very easy and Justin responded very fast to all my requests for scheduling and a quote based upon what he thought the issue was. I was even able to get a same day appointment and they were there exactly in the 30 minute time frame they quoted.

The service was done quickly and efficiently but what I also most appreciated was that I had questions on some other plumbing issues in my home and Justin and Bob went over all my concerns and suggested what they thought on the issues and educated me on how various plumbing structures work. The fact that these guys make their customers feel valued and believe in sharing information at no cost will make me a life long customer with them for all my future plumbing needs.

I thought I would try baking out based upon the reviews on Yelp talk to Bob the night before promised me be out tomorrow the next day at 1:00. He was prompting on time. However after I hired him he walked off the job. I tried to call the owner and office period his communication after that was very poor and sketchy finally he told me that he had to go change his clothes and that he would not be back to finish the job. I'm very disappointed. I've never seen a plumber walk off a job that he gave me a bid for.

We had a great experience with Bacon's Drain Cleaning and Plumbing! I called about a clogged drain on Monday morning, and Bob responded immediately. He was able to arrive within a few hours and not only quickly resolved our drain issue but also gave me a myriad of incredibly helpful pointers on home maintenance and fixed a problem with our washing machine. We'll definitely call Bacon again the next time we need a plumber.

Found Bacon's through yelp! and they couldn't have been better. Extremely responsive and prompt. They were missing a part and had to come back the next day but they finished the job properly.

After Facetiming with him to show him the leaks we were experiencing, he was able to give us a quote.

He came as promised the next day with Bob and they were extremely polite and efficient, address I the leaks and replacing old parts.

He stuck to the same fair quote he gave the night before and we were glad to have found an honest plumber who was not willing to overcharge us.

He even called the next day to make sure everything was still working well.

We are glad to have a new go-to plumber now!!

These guys are the rare legit plumber that won't rip you off. They came out and took care of business, didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary work, had a fair estimate that they stuck to. Recommended!

We have found our go-to plumber in Pittsburgh. Fast, communicative, excellent value, decent humans behind the operation and amazing level of honest, Union-backed service. Appreciated how Bob explained what he could do to help and also explained the simple things we could do to fix another simple issue. 100% hire these folks. Plus, they have cute kid pics. Who doesn't like cute kid pics.

Reasonable pricing and fixed a clog I had when no one else was available the day before July 4th. Would use them again in the future. Saved my 4th of July.

Lady answered the phone and let me know she would call the plumber and tell him what I conveyed to her as my issues. Ten minutes later she called back letting me know he could be here at 4:30 since he had other jobs going on. Gentleman called at 4:15 saying he was 10 minutes away....I was thrilled!  He arrived and took care of my sink problem, was coming back to fix a leaky faucet since there was a part not available everywhere. He was honest telling me there may be a cheaper route to go and he would let me know both options.  Another issue with a valve and too much air in the line will also be corrected. The price for everything was very reasonable. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need which I've heard other companies try to do. Highly recommend them!!!

These guys are the best. They guarantee their work and do not overcharge you. Had to have them come out and run a camera down my sewer system. They did a fantastic job. Very quick and efficient. Gave me honest answers on what was wrong and the cheapest solution. I would recommend these guys to everyone.

Mr. Bacon is honest and dependable. Our parents had a leaky toilet and we asked Mr B to take a look since we live far away. He gave us full transparency and charged exactly what he quoted and also arrived early since we mentioned the elderly were wary about visitors after dark. We now know who to call if our parents home need other plumbing work.

We had a clogged shower drain that wouldn't budge with drano. We contacted Bacon's on Thursday night and by Friday morning we had an appointment for someone to come out on Saturday. Bob who came out to do the work was efficient, knowledgeable and easily unclogged our drain. Highly recommended!

Had tub troubles and they sent someone out here within 24 hours! They were super fast and efficient, my tub runs smoother than ever.

I had an issue with sewage backing up in my basement.  The team was quick in sending out someone (less than 3 hours).  My plumber Bob was so detailed, attentive, and did an awesome job cleaning up.  He didn't try to upsell any services but gave great advice on options.  I would highly highly recommend Bacon's for any plumbing needs.

What originally started as a Yelp message to see about a sump pump cleaning led to them finding a plethora of things the inspector missed, but keeping the estimate more than fair.

We eneded up needing the dryer vent fixed it wasn't up to code, a toilet needed augered and a new float valve, pipes needed rerouted because another big name company messed them up, and it was suggested our 6 year old water heater needed replaced, sump pump didn't have a float & drain flowed into driveway back into pump, upstairs bathroom sink had a wrong size pipe & guts in toilet were bad.

After talking to Justin about all of our options and him stressing the water heater isn't a must at this time, but something to keep an eye on we decided to go for the full job.

We scheduled a time and they knocked it out quick over a few days (as they were extremely busy & rain delayed a couple things) and answered any questions we had. We also had them install a garbage disposal in the kitchen.

While it was more than we wanted to spend after just buying the home, these guys saved us from it being a costlier issue down the road and their prices were more than fair for the work they did.
