Really pleased - this is the second time we have had to replace a unit and second time we have used Adam Mechanical. From the first meeting with the sales rep - Brian - we felt like we were in good hands. I felt they were transparent and fair with pricing and info. And Brian was quick with all the questions we had - really great to work with!

Our install team was Ramone and Jaylin - they were amazing. Quick. Clean. Friendly. Great with our dogs and nice to spend the day with. Really really happy with the service they provided and appreciate how they took time to answer all my questions.

We used Adam Mechanical for heating and air conditioning service for several years.  They are technically competent in heating and air conditioning, but not for plumbing.  We stopped using them because their pricing scheme is a rip-off.  We were greatly overcharged on a couple of occasions and when I protested, they refused to reconsider.  They price according to the type of task, also called flat rate pricing, regardless of how easy or difficult the task may be in a particular customer's system.  The alternative scheme is called time & materials pricing under which a customer is charged for the exact amount of labor and materials the specific customer's problem actually entailed.
In one instance, a task took the Adam technician 45 minutes to replace a $100 part in my heating system, but they charged me over $1,000!  (It was an emergency, so I didn't have time to get estimates from other contractors.)  Under time & materials pricing, the job would have cost maybe $500.
A flat rate pricing scheme enables a contractor to give the customer a fixed price immediately, but that's the only benefit -- which is not much of a benefit when the fixed price is double what a task should cost.
Bottom line: DO NOT USE ADAM MECHANICAL, or any other contractor that uses flat rate pricing, for that matter.

Our experience: We had a small  kitchen faucet leak that was surely fixable. Unfortunately my naive spouse authorized having a new faucet put in for $934. Same model faucet available at home depot for $150 retail. Sorry but I think $784 dollars for the hour the technician spent at my house was just a little excessive!!!!

This business is easily THE BEST HVAC  business company I know. I am the granddaughter of a French Italian stone/ marble house builder so I know a bit about the construction business in general. The technician who came out today to inspect my 11 year old heat pump was as patient as clear when he explained my options.
Not pushy at all- unlike most other technicians who would sell you anything- especially when they are talking to a a foreign woman living on her own! I highly recommend this business to anyone looking for solid advice and very competent staff.

Was able to come the same day we called to check out the furnace. Informed us there was no issue with the furnace. So relieved. We still have heat and the issue hasn't resurfaced so far. Absolutely recommend him. Honest and reliable.

These guys know what they're doing and they're fair. They're probably not the lowest priced around, but they stand by their work and promptly fix any issues (for no extra charge) that may come up from a mistake made by a new guy working for them. It's nice to find a contractor I feel I can trust.

My water heater was leaking gas from the control valve. They came out the same day I found out I had the problem. Very friendly service and even received money back for the part since my water heater was still under warranty. After I had the work done and paid. Definitely would recommend.

Our air conditioner wasn't working. I spoke with Don, the install manager. Since our father is 90 years old and not in the best of health, and with hot weather on its way this week, Don said his technician would be out today. Jim the technician sent us a text message with his picture saying he was on his way. He arrived with proper face mask, gloves and shoe coverings. He promptly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He was very knowledgeable and polite. We were up and running in no time. I would highly recommend Adam Mechanical to all of my friends and relatives. 5 Stars isn't enough!

Dan came out last week to repair the A/C and said he found a leak. We paid $761 for leak sealant and added refrigerant. He returned a few days later for a quick check and declared no leak. Over the weekend, the A/C stopped and Service Manager Mike came out this morning. He found an obvious leak next to the unit and slight bend in the copper tubing that he said shouldn't be there. It appeared the leak wasn't sealed and Dan must have overlooked it during his check. Moreover, Dan had mentioned nothing about the bend next to the unit. Mike said it would take at least 3-4 hours to fix and wasn't going to be cheap. I asked first for a refund of the $761 since the leak wasn't repaired and the refrigerant leaked back out. However, Mike refused and said the $761 was only to find the leak! I told him I will file to get the money back in small claims court. Owner Zack Samuel called and agreed to send a refund check in 1-2 days, although he reiterated that the payment was only to find the leak and not to repair it. He said the receipt doesn't use the word repair and maybe that will be clarified in the future. However, the receipt does use language like stop the leak, leak seal, added leak sealant. The receipt says nothing about paying to find a leak. Who would pay $761 just to find a leak??? Beware that this company may try to add charge on top of charge, instead of standing by their work.

Incredible all around. I called for an estimate and they came out that day. Within 48 hours, I had a new furnace and WH for a great price. While the workers were here, I had an issue in my home unrelated to the install and they offered to help me clean up a spill so I could get back to work. So nice. After they left they gave us a box of chocolate-covered Oreos and pretzels as a thank you for the work.  This is how you run a business and this is top-notch customer service.

Great company. Super honest - a few years ago, another company (the one with the billboards) told us we needed a whole new heater, but Adam told us we could just repair it, and we got another 3+ years out of it. Now that we're finally getting a new one, they've been fast, friendly, and really just great in every way.

We contacted Adam Mechanical and three competitors to solicit estimates for an air conditioning system in our home. After all four of the companies visited and inspected our house, it was abundantly clear that Adam Mechanical was the right choice. Our house was built in the 1920s, and it has a lot of quirks (unusual angles, etc.) that are not conducive to an air conditioning installation, but Adam Mechanical's salesperson immediately came up with creative ideas to get around those issues. When it came time for the installation, all of the team members were professional, courteous, responsive, and knowledgeable. We were thrilled with our choice, and we would strongly recommend Adam Mechanical to anyone who is contemplating an air conditioning installation project.

Adam Mechanical installed a whole new HVAC and water heater system in our home. Their work is great, their followup is terrific, and we're saving money with our new efficiencies.

I was referred to Adam Mechanical by my management company(they are walking on thin Ice) for furnace maintenance and cleaning. Their tech. came to a working furnace and did a carbon monoxide text and flagged the furnace and turned it off, he told my management guy that I needed a new furnace and the one I had was un-fixable and it would run me just under 6000.00. When I started to ask question because I know a couple of heating repair men they said was the furnace broken (no) was the carbon monoxide coming into the house (no) and do you have blow heat (radiator). I decide to get a second opinion from Christian Alliance Contractors Inc. Mr. Allen Ellis owner came in checked everything, cleaned the furnace and the furnace has never run better for much much much less than 6000.00. Adam Mechanical charged me 100.00 for nothing. With this company always, always get a second opinion!

Adam Mechanical sent someone out on a cold and snowy Saturday to look at why my heat pump was constantly on aux heat. The house was warm enough but that was killing my electric bill. The only people happy were the folks at PECO.
Ricardo came out and found that the unit needed some minor maintenance and, before long, it was functioning as normal. I purchased a maintenance agreement with them on the spot. I do not want anyone other than a tech from Adam Mechanical to ever turn a wrench or screwdriver on my heating system again.

We contracted with Adam Mechanical to install a high-velocity AC system in our 3-story Dutch colonial home. After spending a miserable first summer there last year with no AC, we decided to call up Adam Mechanical as they came highly recommended by people we know and have excellent reviews. Our house was built in 1923 and has radiant heat, so there was no existing duct-work. Perry visited our home and determined that high-velocity would be the best option for us, walked us through where the air handler, unit, and ducts/vents would likely be installed (he explained that there could be some slight modifications to this as the team got in and found other solutions that would be more efficient) and formulated a quote and scope of work for us. We felt that the quote was reasonable, and liked that they were able to start the following week and would only need 4 days.

Perry, as well as the team who did the work, were all very professional, arriving on time each day, and made a point to keep our home clean by using floor protectors and shoe covers.  The work took 4.5 days, so very close to the quoted 4 days, and they were done by midday on day 5. The air handler was installed in the unfinished part of our 3rd floor (attic space); we explained that we would like to finish this area someday, so they were able to keep the air handler and tubing around the perimeter so we will still have this option. The majority of the duct tubes were able to be run through our closets (they are small and really don't take up closet space) with only one area of tubes being visible in our guest room (will be easy to cover with a soffit though). AM's attention to detail & aesthetic was great; along with keeping the duct tubes hidden in closets for the most part, the tube that runs from the attic air handler to the outdoor unit was nicely covered and made to resemble a gutter.

We've only had to turn on our air once so far this year, but it seems to be functioning as expected and cooled down our house in a short time.  I would definitely recommend AM to anyone in the area who is looking to install AC, especially in an old home!

I had a very good experience with Adam Mechanical when they came out to fix my gas furnace. The technician quickly identified the bad wire in the system and fixed it.  The tech also provided a lot of useful maintenance information and adjusted the air/gas mixture.  Unknown to me our furnace was producing very high levels of CO2 which the tech fixed. I would call them again without hesitation.

I had a plumbing issue for which my regular plumber couldn't come out soon enough.  I had used Adam Mechanical for HVAC service and learned that they also did plumbing.  They were able to schedule me for the day after I called.  The plumber arrived within the window promised and fixed the issue without issue.  He wore booties inside the house and cleaned up nicely.  The only gripe is that they were more expensive than my other regular options (by 2x over one and 30% more than the other).  But they do quality work and were able to meet my time frame. I'd use them again.

Think of everything a consumer hates about calling for service and then flip it all in the positive. That is Adam Mechanical. Honest, responsive, prompt, fair pricing, clean,safe, knowledgeable.

My heater broke on a Wednesday afternoon; this company had someone at my door Thursday morning.  The owner is awesome and knows how to build relationships. I would recommend Adam Mechanical because of their great service!

Beginning with Michelle answering all my questions on the telephone!  She was knowledgable and courteous.  Next JP was sent to assess my broken ac unit.  He was also courteous and knowledgable. JP even stayed longer to get the job finished, stating the mantra you are the customer, I will stay until it is fixed
Seth, the owner, takes pride in his company by coming to check the work of his employees.  He is not pushy at all and explains issues in a easy to understand way.

Recently had Adam's Mechanical come in and do a tune up for the Winter. The technician was on time and came closer to the start time of the service window that I was provided with which was like 3 hours. This was big as I couldn't spend 3 hours waiting for the service person to show up! The technician was quite thorough in his check of the system (which incidentally was purchased from and installed by Adam's Mechanical about 3 years ago). The technician was professional and courteous. I would recommend Adam's Mechanical both for installation and service of your HVAC.

My heat broke last night and I did not discover it until about 8:45. Upon getting recommendations from a Facebook group I belong to I called Adam mechanical. It was late at night on the coldest day we'd had all year and I could tell they had been busy that day. Seth called me back in less than ten minutes and he arrived close to ten pm. Even though he knew he would not be able to do anything that night he came anyway because I was nervous about the burn smell and he wanted me to have peace of mind. As late as it was Seth took his time explaining and going over my options and did not rush me at all. I was extremely impressed because I know it had to have been a long day for him and i knew he probably had a family to get home too. Even though he was at my house late he called me first thing in the morning with prices, recommendations and the time the tech would be there. I then got follow up emails stating the tech was on his way and a call when he was done since I was not home. I honestly do not know if the price was competitive because it was an emergency situation and I was not going to spend time shopping around. I don't even care if the price may have been a little higher because I can truthfully say it was one of the best, if not the absolute best customer service experiences I have ever had so that is worth a lot in my opinion. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone

Very pleased with Adam Mechanical!  My 28-year-old A/C died on a Saturday morning.  I called them, and Seth came out the same day.  They had a quote to me for a new system on Monday (I decided to replace the 28-year-old furnace too), and they even sent a tech out at no charge to me to try and patch my dead system until they could install the new one.  (They couldn't schedule me for a week and a half, but it's the height of the summer and they were totally honest about it.)  Installers were professional and courteous, and I'm thrilled with my new A/C and heater!

I've been using Adam Mechanical for about 5 years and they never disappoint. Always professional and timely, they are a pleasure to work with. When I recently woke up without heat, they immediately responded (on a Saturday!) and did everything they could to repair the unit. Over the past five years and many conversations, I knew my old system was on its last leg but each year they did their best to keep it running. I have always appreciated their honesty! Unfortunately it finally reached the point of no repair, and they quickly were able to come to my house and provide an estimate, and in the snow no less! They had my new unit installed and ready to go two days later. The technicians walked me through what they did and how the system works once they were all done. I trust Adam Mechanical, and I know they will do a good job. I highly recommend you also get the yearly plan as well, it saves you a lot of money in the long run. Great company and very kind people, I highly recommend!

I highly recommend Adam Mechanical. They were extremely competent, professional, responsive, and took great care of my home while they installed AC in my 90 year old house. They know what they are doing and I completely trusted their work. They were easy to get a hold of, reliable, and they followed up throughout the process. Their technician really knows what he is doing. They cleaned up very well at the end of each work day, wore shoe coverings, put down protective rugs and sheeting while working. They were quiet, and worked through some tough weather.

We just had our central air unit replaced by Adam Mechanical.  They were prompt, courteous and stayed within our budget.  We had a question about our unit and they came out within 3 hours to look at the unit and answer our questions.  We will definitely recommend them!

They did a commercial job for us in June 2011 (2 large HVAC units). They were good to work with during the installation. There have been a couple of small problems over the past year or so, but they have been very prompt and have made the repairs at no charge. Today's repair was impressive because I called Friday afternoon and they were able to be here within a couple of hours. The technician stayed until nearly 6:00 pm to make sure the job was done right. I'm impressed.
