We asked Nick to come out and give us a quote to replace a macerating toilet  with an actual not-disgusting, working toilet. This involved cutting into a wall and then into concrete in the basement below the bathroom to run a sewer pipe (the old pipe from the macerating toilet was zip-tied to the wall in the basement).

Nick was very responsive to email and text messages and kept us in the loop at all times, which is one of the reasons we ultimately hired him. He always let us know his ETA whether it was arrival for the initial estimate or the work that needed to be done. He listened to our somewhat uninformed ideas about what we wanted to do, and gave us reasoned options backed up by years of experience.

We were very happy with the plumbing work completed (Nick made sure to clean his area each day he was here and brought his own drop cloths to protect the floors) and it was obvious he knows his trade.

In addition, and perhaps most importantly, we liked having Nick at the house. He's very personable and friendly, and as an added bonus, our dog loved him (and vice versa).

We plan to ask Nick to do some additional plumbing work in the basement bathroom once we get our act together.

Our kitchen sink was leaking and wasn't switching to the preferred stream strength so we ordered a new one and Nick installed it for us.  He also fixed our toilet which had been making a horrendous sound and was running nonstop.  He's REALLY responsive and we had our initial appointment to assess the issues and the fixes done within a week!  He's kind and professional and really honest about what work you need done!

Nick and his crew repiped our house last spring, added plumbing and drainage for a washer, replaced our water heater and added a water line for our refrigerator. Nick does honest, quality work for a reasonable price and like another reviewer said, will not try to up-sell you. He actually talked us out of a more expensive option too!
Working with Nick and his crew is like working with family. I would absolutely love to work with him again! Stop looking for a plumber now, you've already found the best one!

Nick is a great plumber to work with. He communicates well via phone and text, always shows up on time, and is experienced, which leads to a lot of confidence in the job he'll do.

Moreover, Nick was thoughtful about cleanliness and social distancing during the coronavirus shutdown. I really appreciated his professionalism and approach.

Nick fixed our shower/sink 100 yr old cast iron drain line in our house. He was very courteous, prompt and honest.  He didn't attempt to up sell me on unneeded repairs and came in under his original quote. Have used him for plumbing issues in the past and will continue to use him in the future. Wore a mask too for the COVI19 issues too.  Good solid work done.

I hired Nick to fix an issue with a secondary washer line that was backing up in my laundry room.  He implemented the most cost-effective solution.  I also had tree root intrusion in my main sewer line that was detected following a video inspection (recommended by Nick).  We discussed the issue and Nick mentioned a client who used enzymes for tree root intrusion.  I researched this issue and ended up using Green Gobbler Foaming Root Killer.  If this solution works I will end up saving $7000 on a sewer line replacement.  Thanks Nick!

So grateful for Nick at Pacific Crest Plumbing!  I called at 8pm at night hoping he could come out the next day because I had a toilet issue that I hadn't been able to resolve.  He was booked but, even better, gave me the advice I needed to get the toilet to work right!  I'm so happy that it works right now, and he was super nice about it.  What a relief!  We've used him before in the past and he's great.  :)

Professional plumbing at a good price that flushes your worries and problems away.

I had a leak in a waste/overflow drain in my guest bathroom located underneath my bathtub in the crawl space of my home. I called up and gave an explanation of the issue using what little plumbing terminology I knew. Nick was patient, made sure he understood the job, and even sat through me sending him a photo of the problem from a previous inspection. After a bit of back and forth I was given an accurate quote over the phone and a date and time for when it could be taken care of.

With a timely arrival the service provided was cleanly as to not make a mess in my home, quite fast in my opinion given the difficulty level of the work, and was accompanied with a recap of the problem and the fix for my own knowledge. Nick also made sure as things were wrapping up that I knew to give him a call for any other problems big or small, even it was just for pointers.

I'll definitely enlist their services again if I have more plumbing issues in the future. Pacific Crest Plumbing does great work!

Great service! I had a pretty simple fix but not being handy, I have to rely on others. Pacific crest was quick with an estimate and got the job done. My shower/bathtub is now working properly

Nick did a great job on the water service replacement and re-pipe of our house. Nick clearly communicated throughout the process, which was great for coordination of our day. Of all the plumbing options we had, Nick's was the best planned and most detailed so we knew what to expect and were reassured. The quality of the work was fantastic and we got what we agreed on at the outset (our project didn't have any unforeseen issues). We couldn't be happier. Thank you Nick.

Called back in timely manner. When I was explaining what I wanted an estimate for his first question to me was do you want this done illegally? He then proceeded to tell me it would cost around 4K. His attitude on the phone was very condescending. It was all about how much money this project would cost, because I have an older home. I have budgeted enough to cover the remodel but his assumptions were that I have no money to spend on it. Would not recommend this company.

The thing about a plumber is that you don't realize how important a good one is until you find your toilet is backing up or your basement is flooding in the middle of a torrential downpour in Portland. In both cases, the first people we called were the folks at Pacific Crest Plumbing. Anna and Nick are two of the finest people I've had the pleasure of working with and I can't recommend them enough.

Aside from Nick's attention to detail, it is his honesty that I find most refreshing. When we had him come out to bid on a job, instead of trying to upsell us on stuff we didn't need, he gave us level-headed advice and actually talked us out of some more expensive options.

I'm really thankful to have Anna and Nick as our local plumbing team and can't recommend them enough should you be in the need of a knowledgable, capable, and honest plumber.

We had Nick come and do some minor repairs to our toilet (it wouldn't stop vibrating). He was on-time for the appointment (we received a phone call about an hour ahead to know he was on his way), and then fixed it right away and did a great job (as always)!

Plumbing is one of those things that when there's an issue, it's good to have someone you can call to fix when you have issues. I'm glad we found Nick, he does great work and we always feel like we are treated with respect.

Long time user, first time reviewer on Yelp. Nick and his team at Pacific Crest Plumbing are just that good.

I recently moved into a home in Portland with ancient and rusted galvanized steel plumbing. Though a smaller home, I knew a complete re-fit to PEX and a new water heater would be a big job. I called around to quite a few plumbers and received several estimates. I'm very happy I gave the job to Nick.

Nick and his team showed up on time. The kept the areas they worked in clean and tidy. The work was completed on time as promised. Nick was friendly and patient - two traits I find are often lacking these days. I am extremely happy with the finsihed work. The water pressure is outstanding. The water heater works like a champ. New plumbing isn't the sexiest thing you can spend money on for your home, but knowing the water through the pipes is clean feels pretty dang good.

I strongly recommend hiring these folks for any plumbing work you require. You'll be happy you did.

Nick returned my call. It wasn't a huge emergency, just some containable dripping under and around the sink. Nick thought it was our faucet and advised me to get the style of faucet I wanted and set an appointment the next day. Nick was right and found a few things while dismantling and flushing the lines. He was concerned with doing this job most efficiently and properly.  I will most certainly call Pacific Crest again

This is the second time I've used Pacific Crest Plumbing to do work on my home built in the 1950's. My pipes started flooding my basement and with a 4 month old in the house I needed to get the job done quickly and done well. I was worried about having to wait a long time due to Covid 19, but as always, Nick was able to provide high quality work, at a great price and get here quickly (within 2 business days). He provided advice on how to stop the leakage and not cause anymore problems before he got here. I definitely plan on calling them again, when it comes time to redoing the plumbing in my home.

I don't know if you've ever been there: kitchen faucet, despite years of service, rebels against mankind and simply drips in contempt. When living off takeout and paper plates has lost its luster, it's time to call in a professional.

Nick replaced our antique water heater and outdated faucet and Zak provided valuable advice regarding our dishwasher.

Joyous jet streams, once again, thanks to Pacific Crest.

My first job with them was when my water main broke and started leaking into our finished basement.  They came out to diagnose it the same day I called, helped me mitigate it, and were out the next morning to replace it.  They coordinated the contractors and permitting necessary to get the job done.

Today was easy: What I thought was a leaking hose bib they determined to be my dryer vent leaking into the gap above the ceiling and condensing on the cold water input.  Nick left me with a plan for confirming it and an easy fix I can manage on my own.

Every time they have showed up on time, with confirmation when they were on the way.  Having had a lot of troubles with this house over the years (how many different ways can a finished basement leak?!), the folks at Pacific Crest Plumbing have been refreshingly reliable and easy to work with.

Nick came out with his worker just over a year ago and installed brand new lines for me. GREAT job, the bid was a fair amount and they left my place better than when they came in. They also accommodated me by rearranging the mess of pipes under my sink. Then, I played a mean trick on them on April 1st and left a message that my pipes had burst.. they were so quick in responding and very gracious about my joke after the initial panic attack I had caused.
I must have been looking for trouble because one of the pipe pieces that goes to my outdoor faucet blew out and he came back out to have a look. Said this is like a one in a million and apologized (even though it was not his error) and fixed it promptly. Thank you Nick!
If you are looking for someone to care about you and your home, he is your guy!

We had a water heater leak and needed a replacement fairly urgently. I called and spoke with Anna, who was very kind and accommodating, and her professionalism made me certain I had chosen the right company to do my water heater. She made an appointment for the next day and was excellent about communicating when to expect someone to drop by (which was early, thankfully).

Treven B., a journeyman plumber, was awesome! Professional attitude and attire, and clearly competent in his trade. He changed out the water heater and had the old one out in under 1.5hours, the job looks great and is working well so far. He made sure everything was as clean as it had been before he came and gave me a run-down of everything and took my questions before leaving. He even gave me some advice on other plumbing issues not related to the particular job. I would gladly use these guys again

I was told by Nick after talking with him on the Phone to send him an email list of items withs pics and he would reply THE NEXT DAY with a ball park quote to repair and a time to meet. So, I spent an hour taking pics of everything and sending in an email to Nick as requested.....  I did not get a reply..... A week past and I email Nick again and his reply was

Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate your request at this time. Sincerely, Nick

This is unacceptable, Nick requested the e-mail and told me he would reply the next day.

The customer service from Pacific Crest Plumbing was very bad and I would not try contacting this contractor again.

Update:

Nicks wife reported to me that she did get my first e-mail but did not know how to reply to it. And due to a family illness, Nick could not reply. (So no one replied) After a week and a second e-mail from me, someone sent the the reply of: Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate your request at this time. Sincerely, Nick

Pacific Crest Plumbing (Nicks wife) seems to feel that it's ok to request information from a person and not reply to that person for over a week and after the person requests a reply for a second time, to send a reply of Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate your request at this time. Sincerely, Nick  I don't agree with the way this was handled, and is still being handled by PCP. If I was told last week that Nick had a family illness that he had to address, I would HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM with a delay in reply. BUT, the fact is,  that is not what happened. I was told by Nick that I would get a reply the next day and did not. After a week and a second request to Nicks request, I was told Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate your request at this time. Sincerely, Nick THATS IT.

I adjusted this review as per Nicks wife's request, she did not like the fact that I used the word sucks and she feels that I was not being very understanding as it applies to Nicks family illness (the one I did not know about). I agree with her, sucks is not constructive at all, so I removed it. And as far as the lack of compassion as it applies to Nick's family illness...... I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT THE FAMILY ILLNESS.....  If I DID, I would not have sent this reply..... And the fact that Nicks wife keeps sending me e-mails and leaving v-mails on my phone about this reply (not nice ones)....  shows me that she just dose not get it. AGAIN, I was replying to Nick's request for information and I HAD NO IDEA Nick was dealing with a family illness...... So, I hope Nicks wife STOPs contacting me about this review......

Take my review how ever you like......   The fact is that this contractor requested information from me to give me a price for service, I did as requested and did not get a reply. After a second request, PCP blew me off.  ALL PCP had to do is say, sorry, we are dealing with a family problem, we will contact you soon. THATS IS.....

I'm sorry that Nick is dealing with a family problem, but someone could have handled this in a better way at PCP (and still can).

I hope Nick's wife can understand my review and accept  constructive criticism as to the way PCP handled this. No one if perfect and after all, thats what reviews are for, right?

I really can't recommend Pacific Crest Plumbing enough. They've been our plumbers since we bought our first home 3 years ago and have been kind, patient, and honest with us throughout every major and minor plumbing issue we've had. Nick even spent a while on the phone with me past 9pm one time when our kitchen sink started leaking into our basement and I had no idea how to stop it! (New homeowner problems.)

Most recently, we worked with Nick to replace the sump pump in our basement after a short-term renter flushed something that caused it to break. In addition to being fast and friendly throughout the process, Nick and his wife Anna went above and beyond to write a professional statement on the issue that helped me re-coup all of the money we had to put in to fix the problem from the short term rental company. These are the kinds of family-owned small businesses I like to support and will continue to support for as long as I'm a Portland homeowner.

Thanks again, Nick and Anna! Y'all are the best.

This company is fantastic.  I couldn't disagree more with any negative reviews that have been posted.  I have used them 5 times now, and 2 of those were emergencies on my rental.  They have been prompt in getting back to me (even during off hours or on weekends), have been super accommodating as far as scheduling and getting to us quickly, and I trust their service and recommendations completely.

I always feel that Nick advises whatever service he would do or want done on his own house, if he were paying for the service himself.  This is so appreciated.  I cannot speak highly enough of this company and the quality of their work.  I will continue to use them as long as I have any homes or plumbing needs in Portland and wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend their services to anyone.

I have to say that neither my husband nor I am what you would call do it yourself'ers. So whenever we need something done with our house - it's a matter of who's the best reviewed? Which is how we found Nick the first time.

My husband and I have used Nick twice now - once to fix a leak and again to install a new toilet for us. We have been extremely happy both times and will definately use him again in the future when we need a plumber.

I told him last time he was there that we really appreciated the fact that we don't get nervous now when something goes wrong and we need a plumber. It's not a scary phone call to make since we already have a plumber we trust. :)

Also, I should mention that the first time, with the leak, we had a quote from another plumber and it was TWICE as much as what Nick ended up charging us. And with the toilet, he gave us a $10.00 discount because some of our existing hardwear was reusable. Amazing. Thanks Nick!

Note: read the filtered reviews - still not sure what Yelp is doing!!!!

We live in an old rental house and a friend stayed over while we were away and messed with the shower valves in a way we were not totally clear on in our note - and....wound up with water in the basement leaking throught the hardwood floors. Sigh.

Not sure how my landlord found Nick and Company but I am very happy she did. He came over the same day to assess the tubes and valves and plumb-y stuff (plumbing's not really my thing). My landlord must have approved as we made an appointment for the next day and Nick showed back up in the stated time frame, did he plumb-y thing, cleaned up after himself and was gone in what I thought was a very reasonable length of time.

I know nothing of the costs and billing things, but I know that my shower works, we don't have to turn on or off the cold water shut off valve with each shower and it seems easier to regulate the temerature of the shower. We are happy - Thanks Nick.

I wrote this as a tip, first, but had to give 5 stars...
Trevon with Pacific creat Plumbing is great! We'd used PCP before for a small project and they handled it well, so I called for the latest issue, a leaky pipe in our crawl space. Trevon was timely, professional, affordable, and friendly. I was worried the fix would cost an arm and a leg, and it didn't. Anna even called me back over the weekend to schedule a weekday appointment ASAP!! Great service. We will continue to use them in the future.

These guys really deliver the kind of old fashioned service that is really hard to find these days. They responded quickly and called to communicate when they were delayed. Nick is a polite and helpful guy. His wife Anna is great and stays in touch. We had a non emergency plumbing issue and he resolved it and put our minds at ease (potential leak). We needed up spending very little money but in the past when I had a water heater to replace they were right in line with other pricing. I chose them because of their response time and polite demeanor. I recommend these guys all the time!

Nick was at my house today fixing an old shower faucet that my kids disassembled and lost the parts.  Once again my experience with Pacific Crest Plumbing was fantastic and completely devoid of stress.  I emailed (yes, emailed!) him last night around 7pm.  Within the hour Anna had emailed me back and let me know that Nick could come by the next day in the early afternoon.  He came by when promised and within 20 minutes I had a new shower faucet that matches my other fixtures.

Nick has done other work for me over the past year (I have an old house and I am far from a DIYer).  He replaced my dying water heater and also unclogged a hairfilled drain.  In each instance I was impressed by his quick response, professionalism, punctuality, quality of work, and very reasonable pricing.  He's very upfront about what he thinks should be repaired right away versus what can wait.  Working with Nick is how things should be with every contractor and service provider. I am so glad that I have a reliable plumber on call that I can trust.  I highly recommend him!!

What a treat!  It's not often that I get such great and friendly service, but with Pacific Crest Plumbing it can be expected.  I needed help fast and Anna answered promptly the FIRST time I called and then quickly got me connected to a plumber that could fit me in.  I highly recommend reaching out to them for your next project - large or small.  I will be referring them for sure.

Called for estimate to come out to fix a bathtub leaking into our basement, not exactly something we can wait on, and they could not come out for 3 weeks! So much for emergency plumbing services!

UPDATE: The lady I spoke to read this above review and left a snarky message on my voicemail telling me this review was unfair and that there's a plumbing shortage in Portland which is absolutely not true - after this call I talked to two plumbers with higher Yelp ratings who both had time to come in on Monday. All I did was speak the truth. If you're a service business and you are booked that far out, the least you can do is offer potential customers an alternative company to call - anything to show that you empathize that the customer is in a bad situation and want to help, even if you can't personally do it.

2ND UPDATE: Then the lady proceeds to start texting me about the review. I asked her to stop contacting me. She texts me again.  I asked her AGAIN. She texts yet again demanding I remove my review saying I'm claiming that they offered emergency services, which I did not. I simply am stating that this is not a place you call if you need emergency plumbing services. I responded to her a third time that if she continues to text me after I've asked her not to contact me and to take my number out of her files that I will consider this harassment. Guess what? She texted me AGAIN.

3RD UPDATE: She has now texted me five times despite repeated requests for her to stop contacting me and remove my number from her records. I let her know if she continued contacting me I would report her to the BBB. And I quote that's fine because then we will have your full name and address and this will not go away you slandered our family business online.  Seriously? I wrote an honest, two-sentence review and her response has escalated to attempting to threaten and intimidate.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! If you see the other bad reviews you'll see that she has left rude responses to other customers as well.  She could have turned a bad situation good by offering to help find another plumber, but instead takes customer's contact information and harasses repeatedly.

Once again, Nick and his crew came through with flying colors to repair my toilet issue.  Actually it was Treven, who made the repair and recommended what type of replacement toilet I should consider when I decide to replace my 20 year old porcelain throne.  I wanted to post this to advise anyone considering having plumbing work done to give Pacific Crest a call.  I have used them in the past and they will continue to be the first people I call when I have a non-emergency plumbing need.

NEVER rely on Yelp as your sole source of information about a particular business.  Check out all sources of information (Angies List, BBB, other review sites) and if possible, talk to other customers in person.   In the case of Pacific Crest Plumbing, you'll find that this is an established company that gives great service.

They did a job for us a year ago. Quoted and charged for 6 hours works, actually the plumber only worked on it about two hours. The plumber gone for 3 hours between.
I think it was over charge $2200 for two hours work to fixed/install a new set of shower faucets and leaking.

I called to the office next day. The person answered phone said, because Nike worked faster than other plumbers.

Treven from Pacific Crest Plumbing was fantastic.  He was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly.  My house is a very old house and the toilet was 55 years old.   There was a possibility of complications.  I think that due to his knowledge, experience and integrity he was able to avoid any complications.

Pacific Crest Plumbing was straightforward regarding costs of the toilet, no hidden fees.  I talked with Anna from the company quite a few times.  She was always clear and friendly and patient.  (Their charge was $200.00 less than another plumbing company.)  I will definitely refer this company to friends and anyone else who will listen.

Pacific Crest Plumbing is now my to-go plumber.  Nick and Cody came out yesterday to repair a broken pipe and install two spigots.  They were fast, thorough and the price was fair.    Anna in the office is friendly, helpful and communicated promptly when Nick was caught in traffic.    Do yourself a favor and call them first.

It was my lucky day to find this plumbing company. Nick came in and did some substantial repairs/replacements to bring my newly purchased 1973 condo (a victim of time, previous owner fixes and shoddy workmanship). I was anxious about the extent of work that needed to be done and what it would cost. Nick helped me prioritize the jobs and make a plan to get them done over time. The quality of the work he did was excellent and, as previous clients have said, the price was fair and without surprises.  Anna was a friendly and responsive presence on the phone. Nick will be doing a bigger job (shower remodel) for me in a few months. I have complete confidence in this company and enjoy working with these good people.

I'm in a house that has been DIY'ed nearly to death by the former owner. Our kitchen sink pipes started to leak, and after a brief misadventure trying to fix it myself, I was lucky enough to find Nick. A call the night before brought him to the door at 8:30 the next morning. He was quick, professional, kind, and very mindful of the fact that I really don't have emergency plumbing built into my budget.

Not long after he appeared, he was done. I'm so very satisfied with his work, and he told me that because he couldn't do things exactly as he had intended, there was less cost than estimated. He easily could have charged me the estimate, and more, as he did a great job.

I am happy to recommend Nick and Pacific Crest Plumbing to anyone who needs a plumber. I couldn't be more satisfied with his work.

Treven Barrett came in and replaced our toilet in no time at all.  Great service, excellent toilet, and they were communicative throughout.  Thanks again guys.

It looks like these guys have taken a beating on Yelp from people they have never performed plumbing services for.  That's to bad because these guys are great, knowledgable plumbers.

We first used Pacific Crest about 3 years ago to fix a leak in a bathroom drain.  We were very impressed with the professionalism and the quality of their work.

Most recently we took on our old 1950's bath.  We had been wanting to do this for years but kept putting it off until the issues with the plumbing were more than we could tolerate.

Nick the owner came out and discussed options I had never thought of and pros and cons of doing things different ways. I was very excited to get going on this however this was going to be a huge expenditure so it was important that I selected someone I felt was knowledgable and experienced to get the job done timely and the right way.

Throughout the process emails and calls were always returned in a timely manner.  I was able to buy fixtures wholesale on their account at a plumbing supply house, a referral was given for tile work that turned out amazing.  We love our new bath!

Pacific Crest did a great job, customer was top notch and the projected went much smoother than I could have expected.  Definitely recommend!!!!

Pacific Crest is always polite, honest and quick. They are great with advice and I trust them in my home. Treven was here today and he was incredibly helpful. He listened to our plumbing problems and worked with me to come up with the most cost effective solution. I have called these guys three times total and each time they impress.

I can't say enough good things about Pacific Crest Plumbing's entire team.  Anna, in the office, was there to take my call and promptly got me to Nick, who listened to the description of my problem and gave me a fair and accurate estimate.  I was able to get an appointment in  just a few days for my non-emergent problem.  Nick and Cody have just left after rapidly and professionally doing the work I've been trying to get someone to do for months.  Most other plumbers didn't even return my calls.  These guys took care of the job quickly at a very reasonable price.

Now, I'm not going to say that no one should use their services, but there are some things people should be aware of ahead of time.

They are a very small business (two plumbers, one lady who does scheduling etc.)  Husband-wife team plus another plumber.  While I realize that supporting small businesses is awesome/important, you do need to realize what you're getting when you do this.  When you only have two plumbers it makes it very difficult to get through a busy day I imagine.  So, here is my experience with this company:

I scheduled my first appointment early in the week for a Friday afternoon.  I was told they might even be able to move it to Thursday.  Friday come around, my appointment time comes around... no plumber.  I give him an hour, call them and am told that he won't be coming as his sister was having a baby - fine enough, but they really should have called.  Then she tries to tell me that the appointment had never actually officially been made, which wasn't true.  So we reschedule...

This time he does show up - three hours after his scheduled appointment.  He does what he needs to do (installing a shower head and supposedly fixing a minor leak) and the price blows my mind.  Over $200 for some basic fixes.  They offer no discount for being extremely late AND missing an appointment.  I complain, suggest they offer a discount, which they finally do.

Now, this might work - if they had actually fixed the toilet, which they didn't.  Later that night the same problem happens.  I call them to inform them, they tell me they need to replace the entire toilet and quote me a price.  There was no way I was going to use them again, so I call another plumber and guess what?  1) Their quote for the exact same new toilet was about half the price of Pacific Crest 2) I didn't need to actually replace the toilet at all and they showed me why what Pacific Crest did didn't fix the problem at all, and that the fix was actually incredibly simple.

Long story short: I will never be using Pacific Crest Plumbing again because I don't like paying for expensive horrible service.  Possibly the worst service I have ever received from a repair company.

Addition to my review:  While I strongly appreciate the business's offer to refund the entire service (and this is not necessary, as the service of the shower install was provided), I do not appreciate publishing my personal private information (which violates Yelp Terms of Service), nor do I appreciate the barrage of text messages I have received on my cell phone tonight questioning my character and values.  Please remove my address and full name immediately.  This has been reported to Yelp.

Addition:  I am glad to see that my private information has been removed (by Yelp, I have been informed).  I was in no way financially compensated by one of your competitors to write this review.  The stark contrast between their service and yours is what inspired me to write it, and I find it offensive that you would make such an accusation.

One final update to close this off:  The refund was cancelled by Pacific Crest without them informing me directly, which is fine, though quite confusing.

Our usual guys were unavailable and our shower was leaking gallons by the hour. Nick came out and made quick work of a sticky situation. The price was very reasonable and he cleaned up everything very well. He also tolerated our curious toddler which was great, too! Friends recommended him and I'm so happy they did!

had a great experience with pacific crest. nick and his apprentice replaced a hose bib and snaked a slow-draining tub. they arrived on schedule, worked quickly, and charged the same as had been estimated. nick even went the extra mile and replaced a problematic overflow cover. bonus for me, nick didn't seem to mind that i bugged him with questions. :) i've already got estimates for some additional work that i need done and look forward to working with nick again.

I first encountered Nick via Craigslist. I was having a problem with my garbage disposal. He came on time as promised, fixed the problem and was on his way. He was friendly and courteous, but mostly, he fixed the problem. That was about 2 years ago. Since then, I have called him ONLY on at least 3 other plumbing related issues and, frankly, he is the best trades-skilled person I've met hands down. Not only does he know his stuff, but he gets it done on time and at the price he says it will be. He's clearly good at what he does and I'll be recommending him to all my friends who need a plumber. BTW, Anna, his assistant is equally as friendly and courteous!

I have been using Nick and Pacific Crest Plumbing for several years and I couldn't be more satisfied with the service that I get each and every time I need him.  He is thorough and absolutely competent.  He will not charge a fee for the drivetime to your home.  He is awesome.  He has fixed a number of plumbing problems for me, done installations of faucets, etc.  And he is very quick to respond to any problem.  I wouldn't use anyone else.

I had a slight plumbing emergency this morning and Nick was at my house less than two hours after I called. He was so knowledgeable and actually taught me quite a bit about the plumbing in my house. As a new homeowner, it's a relief to know that I have found my plumber. I definitely recommend Pacific Crest!

I had a great experience with this company.  Called and Nick came over and gave me an estimate the next day to install my bathroom sink.  He was personable, gave good advice, and the estimate was FAR better than some of the others I got.  Then I was dealing with Anna by email who worked very hard to help me coodinate my new flooring install with my plumbing install.  They are very busy but Anna kept me posted as to any openings in the schedule.  She worked hard to accomodate me.  Then Treven came over and did my installation.  He did a great job and was very efficient and considerate.
I've had a hard time finding a great plumber.  As a single woman I've had all kinds of people come over and totally try to rip me off telling me I need all this other stuff.  They just expect you to cave and pay the crazy prices they are asking because you don't know any better.  I'm so glad I held out and now I have found a plumbing company I can trust.

Nick came out and installed a hot water heater for me. He also installed a recirculating pump as it was such a long run to my shower that is on the other side of the house. Yes it cost more money but it was well worth it as I have hot water right away. He installed it in an afternoon and I am very happy. Thank you Pacific Crest Plumbing.

Very knowledgeable and helpful.   I had a slow hot water flow in the bathroom sink and the temperature would not get hot.  We replaced the faucet and discovered that the shower cartridge was causing a mixing problem with the hot water temp.   Now we have strong water pressure at the right temperature.  Trevor was very knowledgeable and very helpful.  Communication regarding scheduling etc. was excellent.  I highly recommend this company and will use again in the future.

Wow, I'll definitely call Nick again. He and his wife were both so pleasant to work with. They scheduled us in quickly. Anna stayed in contact with me by phone, letting me know when Nick would arrive. When he did, he was polite, efficient, and clear about the problem and price, which was also very reasonable. It was a piece of cake. Thanks guys!

While they were not able to make it to my home on such short notice & close to their closing time, they were very professional and did offer some good advice in their absence. Thank you again for trying and maybe in the future we can do business. Can only give 4-star's on this review but at not fault of their own.

Fantastic service.  I had a water main crack on a 1920's house.  Nick and company coordinated the quick scheduling with the tenants to look at the issue, provide an assessment and a bid then ultimately fixed the issue, city permit process, etc. and got the job done at a fair price.  Before I decided to go with Pacific Crest Plumbing Nick took the time to discuss the issue and suggested how I might troubleshoot the problem and put in a temporary fix and also lower the cost.  Since this house is outside Portland city limits, Nick suggested going with a closer Plumbing company to save cost.  I figured the extra cost was worth it for this type of quality service.

First, I will second the note to read the filtered reviews, and challenge Yelp to contact me directly if they have any doubts regarding my veracity.

As a first-time homeowner, the first time I went looking for a plumber, it was with the same trepidation as walking into a mechanic's garage with a mystery noise while wearing three inch heels: how would I even know they really know because I clearly do not know...

Nick single handedly dispelled any doubts I had and disproved every plumber cliche there is.

From his punctual arrival, his thorough, competent assessment, his lucid and direct explanation of the problem and the solution, his patience with my questions and my girly emotional over-investment in quirky vintage fixtures, his patience with the Old Lady Brigade at my HOA -- I saw the kind of professionalism that cannot be cultivated, it is merely the natural consequence of the combination of true skills and personal integrity.

As I closed the door behind him, delighted as I never thought I'd be at the prospect of washing my dishes, I thought to myself, 'Now only if he had a brother who's an electrician...' That, and the fact that until I move towns or Nick retires, I don't ever need look for a plumber again.

I called Pacific Crest last night when I found a leak in the water main in my front yard. even though it was after hours, Nick called me back very quickly and first told me couldn't schedule a time for about 3 weeks, and then very kindly gave me all information I needed to get the leak locators in, find a good plumber, and what I shold expect to pay. That's service!!!!

I called Nick after my tenants complained, right before they moved, out of a constantly blocked toilet that they said probably needed to be snaked. I took them at their word and wanted to get it fixed right away before having to see if gets blocked for me. So Nick came and tested it out and it worked fine. He was very nice and told me in his experience it did not look like it was blocked and he didn't want to take my money to snake it because there didn't seem to be a problem. He didn't charge for his trip out and was very nice. I was really impressed and happy to know I have an honest plumber next time I actually do need one!

Highly  recommended!  Nick and his office manager/wife Anna are very friendly. Nick's plumber employee, Bryan, is very knowlegeable and a hard worker. Nick has done some small repairs for us in the past, responding quickly. When we needed a major repair recently, Nick and Bryan got right on the job, completed it quickly, and left no mess inside our house or out. We first heard of Nick from our son and daughter-in-law, who were also were very happy with the work performed.

This is one of the most professional, customer-service oriented businesses that I have worked with! I had my whole house re-piped. Job was done in two days. The house was left clean and Nick's wife Anna, even stayed and waited for the city inspector to come.  This is a TOP NOTCH COMPANY!

I had just received quotes to replace my hot water tank from 3 local business but was frustrated that none of them could get the heavy duty industrial tank that had lasted me 26 years. You have to be a contractor to purchase this tank and I couldn't find a company that carried them. I decided to put that part of my remodel on hold. One morning we awoke to no hot water and a leak in our garage. Now that I had an emergency and willing to settle for a lower quality hot water tank, all 3 of these contractors were unable to assist me for several days to a week. I was then given a referral to Pacific Crest. They were extremely helpful on the phone, Nick came out immediately and his wife pulled a permit (this is a gas hookup with code issues so we had to get a permit). They finished the job that same day and went above and beyone what I expected. The best part was even though it was an emergency, they provided me with the big industrial american made hot water tank, finished the install the same day and my total costs were much lower than all 3 of the bids I had received. I will contact Nick for all of my plumbing needs!
