I have very big kudos for M5 Plumbing.
Thank you Pat for sending your very capable, courteous and excellent service man to my Cabin.  The AmerGas man and Brad worked side by side to tackle the job at hand : install the new gas range and convert to Propane gas.  The job was big and in a space with no heat and no lightsas the electricity in the kitchen was out.  I cannot tell you how happy and impressed I am with a job well done.  AmeriGAs and M5 Plumbing worked together to service the customer.  They say the best compliment you can give a business is refer your friends and family,  I shall always call M5 plumbing the best company for your plumbing needs.
To Pat I say you have raised a remarkable son, you can be proud of.

Plus side: Pat was friendly and communicated well. Down side: This was an expensive repair ($1,625) for work that took Pat 3 hours to complete. We received a limited-detail estimate of $1,625 after Pat came out to investigate a toilet that was unstable/rocking and water refilling slowly. The toilet had a crack in it, but Pat first told us it would not need to be replaced. He determined that the flange needed replacement and that there was some wood rot below the toilet that needed repair. Because M5 Plumbing advertises their ability to do full-service bathroom remodeling, including flooring replacement, we decided to go with them. 3/4 particle board was installed on the basement ceiling from below the toilet to sandwich the old flooring and allow for the new flange and toilet to be installed. We requested a more detailed cost estimate which showed we were charged $375 to pull & reset toilet, $675 to remove and replace flange, and $575 for flooring repair, remove failed section of flooring, install new 3/4 plywood beneath floor, install new base for toilet, reinstall to tie flange to substrate.
On day of repair, at the last minute, Pat determined that the toilet indeed needed to be replaced, so we had to buy a toilet for him to pick up from Home Depot. Cost us $1,745 for the whole project which took him only 3 hours to complete. My sister is living in this (our) home, so we wanted to be sure it is working properly and all is well, but we live across the country. It's hard to manage home maintenance repair from a distance. I wish we hadn't been so hasty in our hiring decision. We do not plan to work with M5 Plumbing again. It was too costly for such a simple project. We questioned the flange replacement charge at $675 on top of the $375 toilet pull and set (seems like a double-charge of $375, as the toilet pull and set should be obvious in a flange replacement), but he stood by that cost. We probably could have flown across country, done the job ourselves, and got a family visit out of it for less than what he charged us. But, alas. We made a mistake.
Additionally, this is COVID pandemic season, and he failed to wear a mask during the work. He showed up with a mask for the estimate, but did the work mask-free. Disrespectful, at the least.
Finally, he left a mess: garbage bag in the bathtub, scraps all over the floor, and an old toilet lid. We hoped this would be a good experience so we could continue to work with him for future work, but this won't be happening.

The charges $85 to give me a quote over $600 and were rude to my wife while rowe Plumbing done the job needed for $160. Wont call M5 ever again.

I wouldn't recommend this company. He was hired by our GC (Gavilan Construction Inc; Tony Moretti) and apparently the GC and him are good friends. His workers put a shut off water main for the house in the far right corner of our crawl space basement where we can't reach unless we crawl all the way to the corner. Also, the diverter that was installed in our shower was not install properly and we realized that AFTER the tiling was done. Beside pipes that was sticking out our flooring making our walls needing to be about a foot thick to hide them, I would definitely not recommend them. The worse part, this guy got paid in full by the GC when the work wasn't even finish yet. Only the rough-in was completed. Because of contract issue with the GC, we had to hired another company to completed the work. I wouldn't recommend them.

We were having new flooring installed, and when the installer showed he advised that he would not be able to re-set the toilets since Toto toilets have a slightly different setup. So because both toilets were being removed, and I only had a 1 day to get someone to do the work it was difficult to say the least to get someone with such short notice. M5 was the only local contractor that would come on short notice; however, they would not give me a quote over the phone.

Alberto showed up on time and after looking at the toilets explained for an install of a standard toilet it is usually $325, but because we had Toto toilets the re-set would be $475 for the first one and he would discount the second one to $425. This like I say was not even a remove and re-install, it was just a re-set. This was nonsense in my opinion and someone was purely taking advantage because they could. I countered with $400 each plus tax and he left for a few minutes, and came back and agreed to do it for that. Unfortunately we did not have any options other than be without a toilet until the following week.

Alberto did ask when he got here if we were quoted for the toilet install, and I said we were not so I assume that is when he decided he could charge this outrageous price. I feel exploited since it took 1 person only about 45 minutes to set the toilet and caulk the edge. So realistically this plumber made $800 an hour for their work (parts I would assume were less than $20 for a wax ring and some caulk). This company's business practices are egregious and I would never have them do anything for me again, and I would urge anyone else to do the same!

M5 specifically Albert was excellent at repairing my leaking water heater.
It was a degraded rubber seal which he then replaced both lines in and out. This had rained in my crawl space for at least five days and is really wet now!
Then he got the heater started and back in service.  Took exactly an hour.

I called all over town looking for plumbing services. Everyone but these guys quotes an hourly rate which means they go at their speed. These guys quoted the job. It was in their best interest to move quickly and do the job right the first time. They kept me in the loop the whole time, worked with me on extras that were not part of the original job, and were at my house the day after I called them and on time. Damn I like these guys. Work was top quality for what I needed. Thanks M5. I'll be back when we need other plumbing.

We had a leaky water spigot that needed to be fixed. M5 showed up on time, were very courteous and provided options. The fix wasn't easy, but they communicated the options and gave quotes for each possibility. The areas where work was done were cleaned up and the spigot is fixed! Thank you for the great work and positive experience!!

I truly can't say enough about how great this company is. We had been without hot water for 5 days over Thanksgiving weekend and could find no company to assist us on less than a two week response. M5 went above and beyond to send Albert to our rescue. He was terrific even though it was well after his normal work day. He was prepared with proper tools and parts to do the job. Albert was friendly, polite and effecient getting the job done. He even called the next morning to check to see all was working well. Thank you M5 and Albert for a job well done. You are number one in our list of service companies and we will refer you to our friends and neighbors.

I used the services of M5 Plumbing for the replacement of my washing machine water valves and associated copper tubing. Pat the owner answered my initial phone call straight away and was at my house within an hour even though it wasn't an emergency. His attention to detail, professionalism and competitive rates were spot-on. It's rewarding as a homeowner to do business with a local family-owned business. M5 Plumbing will be my go-to plumbers for any future needs. Thank you M5 Plumbing, Pat & family, you guys rock!

Based on reviews about a week ago I called and left a voice mail with a brief job description, callback name and number. I never got a call back. They may be good; I don't know. If they are too busy to take my job, that's fine. Just please let me know and I'll appreciate the honesty. It's been my experience that if contractors don't call back, it's a good indication of what the rest of the involvement will be like.

They charged us $500 for less than two hours of work to fix a small leak in our tub.  Then left us with a hole in our ceiling for us to repair.  Be careful if you use these guys, they may rip you off.

Pat came out same day to fix a weird leak we had when doing laundry. Showed up right on time, very friendly and got the issue resolved for us in just over an hour. Took the time to clean everything up and put appliances back in place when done and the job ended up costing $100 less than the original best case scenario quote we were given. Very pleased and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Pat does excellent work and saved me great money on one repair. My daughter managed to get all kinds of hair pins stuck in the tub drain. I thought Pat was going to have to tear apart the ceiling below to reach the plumbing but he cleared the drain at minimal cost. Thanks Pat!

Very happy with this company. Service man came out same day to fix my water heater. He was on time and very friendly. Came with the necessary parts and tools and fixed the problem at a reasonable price. If only all service companies were this reliable!

Our experience with M5 Plumbing was amazing!  Work ethic, dependability, customer service and doing the job thoroughly and correctly were beyond excellent.
Cannot say enough good things about Pat and the service.  Our rental requires us to use various vendors and when you find someone who shows up and then goes above and beyond to get the situation taken care of you are relieved to know that there are still great people out there that do an outstanding job!  Highly recommend.

In December I had an appointed scheduled for 12n.  By 12:30p, I called Pat (owner) to ask if he was on his way, he wasn't, was still knee deep in a job that was located an hour away!!  He never called ME to tell me he was going to be late, I had to call him.  By 3pm, still no show AND NO CALL!  I call Pat again asking when to expect him, he said he was leaving the job in 45, but he was still about an hour away.  He asks me Do you still want me to come out?  Well, yes I do!  I've been waiting this long, wasting my WHOLE day waiting around and I need to get this leak fixed!  He finally arrives at 5p!  He doesn't say much more than I'm sorry I'm late, does the work with an assistant, gets it done in 30.  I half expected Pat to give me a discount for my waiting and time wasted, but he didn't.  I told him how disappointed I was that he didn't offer.  He says I'll make it up to you.  Really?  When?  And four months later, nothing.  All talk.  The next day, I went outside to look at my faucet where the work was being done, and they left my outside faucet cover on the ground along with the old faucet handle.

I will not be recommending this company to friends.   With lots of competition out there you would think they would care how they treat their customers.

I wish my experience was as good as the other Reviews.
