Well, maybe it isn't quite 'woohoo' but it was pretty darn good. I called for a kitchen sink problem (really two--a leak underneath and low pressure in the faucet) based on a referral from a friend. My first moment of Happy's-ness came with the cheerful intelligent female who answered my call. She listened to my description and found an appointment slot at 8 AM two days later with Brian (I had hoped for Tim because my friend had mentioned him, but no biggie). Brian was there at 8 sharp Thursday morning and went straight to work after I showed him the issues. I went into the next room to surf and let him be. Maybe 40 minutes later he was finished and showed me what he had done to fix the problem and gave me a few pointers on avoiding a recurrence of either one. Packed up, left no mess, and said goodbye. 48 hours later and no sign of any leak or low pressure. I'll call again for sure.

Called beacuse I had two toilets making noises. Lady whom I spoke with was very helpful looking for a convent appt. Jess showed up already prepared for my issues. Fixed both within 20 minutes. Then offered to check my two other bathrooms. Both passed his inspections. Great service all the way around. Will defiantly refer and will use again....

UPDATE.  Ten days after the technician fixed the problem, it failed again.   I've reduced their rating to 1-star.

Wow... a technician from this place was sent out by our home warranty company to address an issue with our hot water heater.  He clearly had no idea what he was doing, made countless excuses for why he couldn't fix it, auugghh.

He was at the house today to work on it.  He called me after it was done (he met with our real estate agent at the house) and spent the first four minutes telling me about how it was acting funny and malfunctioning... then tells me its working fine and is all fixed.  When I asked what I was supposed to do when it stops working (which it inevitably will), he didn't have an answer other than I'll have to come back.

Really, really unimpressed.

As soon as I get my sleeping baby out of the car, the guy started barking at me about the water heater, I had to interrupt him in a quiet voice and ask if I could go transfer my baby to the crib and come right back. After I got my son down, the plumber was rude and short with me the entire time. I finally gave up trying to ask him questions and called my husband so he could talk to him over the phone. The plumber was much more talkative and approachable to my husband over the phone than he was with me in person. And also, who wakes a sleeping baby?

My home warranty company called these clowns out because I wanted a second opinion. They showed up an hour early but then sat in my driveway talking on their phones for 30 minutes. I do that sometimes too, work when I show up to an appointment early - but I park down the street so I don't bug my clients. When Joel made it to the door, he rang the bell and immediately followed that with a cop-knock. I answered and told him to pick one, both weren't necessary especially as they'd been if my driveway for half an hour.

He then went to the bathroom where the sink wasn't draining. He brought in a flashlight and a hair-removal plastic tool, literally nothing else. He was in the bathroom for less than 5 minutes. He then - without a word - went back out to the van. He and his driver (don't ask me) sat in the driveway another 20 minutes, and at 11 am - the scheduled appointment time - they fired it up and drove away - still without a word.

When I called their dispatch I was told Joel felt unsafe because we had closed the screen door he left wide open (so we could leave the main door open so he could get back in without having to knock again - which he would have seen, had he gotten out of the van).

I am not paying for this service call, and as a Realtor I'll certainly not be recommending them for any work, and if they get called in on anything I'll veto them.

I wish I could give this establishment a zero star rating. My landlord sent them to have a look at my water heater last week, because it's been beeping incessantly. The beeping didn't stop after they did their work, so yesterday I called back to schedule another visit. It's always my policy to be polite with people when I'm asking for a service over the phone, or in person, and generally in all of my interactions. After politely explaining the situation to the owner, who answered the phone, he said that I could schedule an appointment with his dispatcher. He forgets to mute his phone, passes me off to his dispatcher and says some lady bitching about her water heater.

I cannot begin to explain the shock and hurt that I felt when this word was applied to me, for the simple fact that I was a woman asking for something. When confronted, they proceeded to first, lie to me, denying it was ever said even though I clearly heard it, and second, admit that it was said and justify it with that's just how we talk around here.

This company deserves to go out of business if it's their custom to degrade their female clients after hanging up the phone. It's 2018, and Happy's Plumbing needs to get it together and start respecting people.

I had an outdoor faucet that was leaking. After calling about 8 different plumbers and either not getting through to anyone, leaving messages and not getting called back, or being quoted as much as $375 or being told they had to charge me $69 to come out and give me a quote, or being told I had to wait a month for an appointment, I finally found Happy Jack Plumbing. They answered the phone immediately, quoted me $95 per hour plus parts over the phone, and scheduled me a week out.  Today the plumber arrived 15 minutes early. He replaced the faucet within 5 minutes, then walked around and checked my other outdoor faucets to make sure they were okay. He also advised me on the gentle way to shut off a faucet so it will last longer. I am pleased with these guys and will use them again.  By the way, the address listed here is not correct. They are now at 418A SE 89th Avenue in Portland, 97216. The phone number is the same.

Happy's was contracted out by my home warranty for an issue. To make a long story short my home warranty sent out Happy's in error but charged me for it anyway. Due to my warranty service's error my plumbing issue became emergent and I had to pay out of pocket and at after hours rates (still battling Fidelity - they are terrrible!!) and on top of that I was out the service fee that Fidelity absolutely refused to refund. I called Happy's while pretty much at the end of my rope and rather than responding to an exasperated customer with frustration they were nothing but understanding. In fact Happy's refunded the service fee even though it was Fidelity's fault.  This helped me sooooooo much since I was out so much from paying for the repair that my warranty service should have covered.  Thank you sooooo much Happys for operating your business with integrity and kindness.

This is a company that the home warranty company contracts through so you already know the standard of service they provide. It's a minimum of one week out to get an appt to have anything even looked at. When we called about a leak in a sewer line the plumber came with no sewer scope. He checked around the toilet and said there was no leak. When we explained the issue was the line not the toilet he seemed genuinely confused. He went and sat in his truck for 30 mins then drove off. He wrote a report saying the toilet was not leaking and sent it to the home warranty company. This has caused a huge issue with our claim. This documentation has meant that I now have spent hours trying to reopen the claim for my sewer line.

I would HIGHLY recommend that if you aren't handcuffed by the home warranty company to pick a different plumbing company. One where they listen to you, have the correct equipment for the job, and don't document falsely. Do not use if you can avoid

After two visits, Happy's Plumbing was unable to fix a water heater issue... when my partner called to schedule another visit, they used a misogynist slur to refer to her. There was no cause for this, she was simply trying to schedule another visit.

There's no excuse for that type of language, especially in a business setting. When I spoke to the offending employee, he was dismissive. Though he reluctantly said I'm sorry, his overall approach was to make excuses for his misogynist behavior--I'm having a hard day. That's just the way we talk around here.

That might be the way you talk, but the community you serve has a right to refuse business with you for your unacceptable behavior. Learn to treat human beings with respect. It's a pretty simple concept.

The folks at Happy's always do an excellent job! They show up on time, complete the work well, and charges are fair. We've used them multiple times at 2 different houses.

Had a hot water leak in the crawl space, and quite a wet mess because of that leak.  Bryan showed up, went down & detected the leak right away.  Fixed it and then found that there was something in the house still causing the cold water to keep runing slightly....so he checked my kitchen and 3 bathrooms and found that one toilet needed some repair work, to keep it from running off/on all the time.  So he fixed that as well! He was very professional, fast, courteous, very knowledgeable, and offered me great advice too.  I will more than likely have him back out to re-plumb the rest of my home with Wirsbo (since the IDIOT BUILDER -- RPM used shotty CPVC when they built my house.  The worst thing anyone could use for plumbing ~~ don't use it)

Good customer service from beginning to end! Easy to schedule, plumber came out and did a great job fixing &  replacing our disposal, fixed all the leaky toilets.  Price very reasonable.  More importantly, they forgot to replace one of the toilet handle and when I called, they were quick to schedule another time to come back out and to do it for Free!  you don't see that now a days.

We came to know Happy Plumbing when we were under home warranty. They were always knowledgeable, fast and efficient. Now that our home is no longer under warranty we continue to use them. I called them on Sunday afternoon about a plumbing problem. They came out by 8 a.m. the next morning and it was fixed by 10 a.m. I will always call them first.

Home warranty company has sent us these guys for three separate plumbing issues over the past 2 years. Every appointment was kept on time, and the dispatch operator was helpful when I needed her to be.

The plumbers were both polite and went, IMO, above and beyond to fix or replace my antique plumbing fixtures. In 2 of the 3 cases, several repair attempts were made (to please the home warranty company) before eventually simply replacing the equipment--which is what the plumbers told me would probably be needed when they first assesed each issue we were having.

So, the extra visits and time is on the home warranty company. In the end, every problem I had was fixed to our satisfaction. We also had them replace an additional outdated toilet that was bound to fail like its counterpart did (which was what prompted warranty call #3).

I will not hesitate to recommend this company or to use them again--home warranty or no. They were able to repair my old, off-brand stuff when parts were available, and provided affordable replacements when repairs weren't possible. Both plumbers I met were knowledgeable, personable and seemed happy to answer questions and to help me make decisions on how to proceed.

The plumber Happy's sent to my house wasn't prepared to repair the issues I had called about ahead of time and specifically described. Once shown the issue, he had to leave and go get supplies. He was not at all clean or sanitary and brought no booties to wear indoors (although I had been told on the phone that OF COURSE all their plumbers use them). He left the house after the repairs and didn't turn our breaker back on so we would have hot water, but he did call at least and let us know about it or this review would be much worse. At least he fixed the issues he came out to fix but took forever to do it. If I use them again, I would prefer a different plumber be sent out.

Happy's Plumbing came out as a follow-up from the first company. They found that the toilet was cracked in the bowl. First, they told me not to use it because porcelain breaks likes chards of glass Yikes. Thank you! Also, they are very professional, friendly, and have good prices for a completed job in minimal time. Again, thank You. I will continue to use you guys now (11/13/2017)

Happy Plumbing came out to take care of a leak under my kitchen sink.
The plumber did a great job.  He was quick and efficient and very personable.  I have had this company come out several times before and have always been pleased with the work.  I highly recommend them.

I love this plumber. I had a leak behind drywall. It was upstairs and very hard to find. It took 2 visits but they were very professional and easy to work with. Also replaced my garbage disposal. Reasonable prices. Home warranty servicer for a few plans. Great communication. Responsive!

So my mother's has homeserve warranty service. There was a leak in our basement, they recommended Happys but when they came out look at the leak, due to a rainy day they assume the water leak was from rainwater.

2 weeks later we still have a leak so we decided to get a second opinion from another company to test the system and see if there was a leak in 20 Minutes they found the leak at the main line coming in from the city.

Today I called happy 's and ask what type of testing was conducted, I was told that it was only a visual test because they dont have the machine for leakage testing. So the plumber just walked in collected the payment for a quick job. Very unprofessional, an inaccurate analysis for the work completed.

I wouldn't recommend them for leakage detection but they aren't fully to blame. the warranty company is partially to blame for not finding a contractor with the adequate equipment for such a task.

Fidelity National Home warranty sent out Happys Plumbing and the guys weren't so happy but they were technically proficient and were able to drain the pipes in the crawl space and solder up a coupe of leaking T fittings.  they didn't want to deal with my sump since the motor ran when you lifted the float.  (7 gallons of water in the hole didn't go anywhere when I tested it, but they claim it works so whatevs....if an old white guy is allowed to use such an outdated expression.)

shutting off the water created a lot of problems in plumbing systems, it stirs up a lot of sediment and breaks loose a lot of mineral deposits.  easy to pull off aerators to clean screens to restore flow to sinks but at least one showerhead was destroyed when the fine sediments went past the screen and clogged half the fine openings.  (and no I don't know how to backflush a showerhead.)  $25 for a new showerhead.

SOLUTIONS?
before water gets turned on again, maybe pull off showerheads and flush line to clear before reinstalling

We had Happy's Plumbing at the house today on a home warranty call. There were problems in two of our bathrooms and the person fixed both in less time than expected. He was also actually 10-15 minutes ahead of time, which was nice.

Neither problem was all that difficult but having them fixed quickly and for the cost of the visit co-pay is really nice.

Happy's Plumbing did over $6,000 of work at our home on two separate projects. We currently do not have a labor warranty on their work and reached out to them after 18 months to take a look at an issue with the first project where a 12' steel vent pipe they cut was not secured properly and the ABS pipe below it was bearing the brunt of its weight, contorting the plumbing lines beneath it. See attached pictures. They told us they will not come out because they make no money fixing things for us. This is a critical issue that needs attention, and they will not take responsibility. Don't hire them unless you want to work with a company that doesn't believe in fixing its mistakes and blames the customer for being difficult.

They have had to return to our home before to fix a leaking main shut off valve and to correct their poorly installed water heater connection after a $4,000+ project to replace all our steel water supply lines with PEX. Even then, their ownership had issues fixing their mistakes while the work was still under warranty.

I want to warn future customers against working with Happy's Plumbing. They are not customer friendly and have an aversion to detail and fixing issues they caused.
