I'll try to summarize but apologies for the length of this review:  A month ago my furnace broke on a cold Sat night.  I used Nextdoor and found/called Rapid Repair. They responded quickly and came out around 11pm the same night.  So far, 5-stars.  But then:  The tech said that either my gas valve or control board was bad.  He gave me an estimate of $4-500 if it was the valve and $8-900 if the control board needed changing.  He couldn't fix it that night and said he'd call me mid-day Mon with a firm price (once they verified the part and price).

As of the writing of this review, 4 weeks since their Sat-night visit, they have yet to call or email me back.  Not one follow up.  Nothing. As far as they know my furnace is still broken.

With a little research I was able to purchase the valve on Amazon for $70 and replace it myself in about 30min, and when that didn't fix things I was able to purchase the control board for $270 and replace it myself in about 30min.  So, basically, if I let them, they would have charged me $1,200-$1,400 for about $350 parts and one hour labor.

I'm ok with people making a living but that's insane.  But what's even crazier is that they never even contacted me after making their $139 for the Sat emergency call.  I waited weeks to do this review and I've still never heard from them.  Do they ever do any actual repairs or make their entire living on emergency calls and diagnostics?  I have to wonder.

In summary: I'm shocked for a few reasons.  They were highly recommended so I'm shocked at the complete lack of follow up, especially after the initial quick response.  But I'm just as shocked with the price they quoted considering what I was able to do myself for a fraction of their quote (which I do have in writing).  Shame on them and no, I would not recommend them or trust them for any work.

We had Rapid Repair Experts come to our house after a leak in the bathroom.  The plumber was beyond nice, very professional, and quickly assessed the problem.  He stated the issue, explained my options, and didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need.

They charge a $59 trip fee, but will wave that if you have any work done.  The plumber who came to our house was a veteran, so I applaud Rapid Repair Experts for harnessing the power of hard working, intelligent people.  I will definitely call these guys again!

Rapid Repair was AWESOME!  I originally had an appointment scheduled for this company, but I canceled because my issues was covered under my home warranty.  Come to find out the plumbers provided by my home warranty company were all horrible so I decided to reschedule another appointment.  Rapid Repair sent a technician out with in 3 hours of my scheduled appointment.  The technicians name was William & he was very informative.  He fixed my issues and gave me a little advice for my plumbing during the winter.  I will use this company again when I install new toilets in my home.

Kurry our Rapid Repair tech was quick to arrive, a Sat, and was able to quickly determine the issue. We had called 12 other Electricians-with no luck, and often only connected to an answering machine--but when I called Rapid Repair Experts-they answered right away, said a Tech would call me in 5 minutes-and sure enough he did! They absolutely lived up to their name! CARY , NC

I was charged $59 for the guy to tell me he wasn't who I needed to repair my sink.  Didn't even look at my sink.  Will never use these folks again.

do NOT believe the positive reviews on here. This is a poorly run operation with inadequate repairmen. The front office and the repairmen in the field are totally disconnected with each other and don't communicate.

I met Dave at the Raleigh Home Show and told him I was getting a new HVAC system installed in the morning.  He shared a ton of information with me about HVAC and what is expected with a new system and what the installation team should do.  He also told me about additional rebates I could get from Duke.  He told me they are certified with Duke Energy and that he teaches HVAC classes.  I had them come out to give me a bid.  I was impressed with his team.  They matched the bid but walked me through my other options.  I ended up buying a variable 5 step Heat Pump which was a bit more but after doing additional research on the web, I think is worth the extra $$ in the long run.  His team came out the next day and got it done.  They were fantastic!  The system is keeping the house very cool and has eliminated the humidity.  I am now freezing at 74 degrees when the day before with my broken system 74 degrees felt hot!  Amazing team.  Thanks Dave, Tim, Jaime.

After a search of area HVAC contractors I narrowed the field down to two and prices and equipment specs were pretty much equal.  I selected Rapid Repair Experts partially based on area reviews... Well, I have to say it was one of the best decisions I made this year.  They arrived promptly on the day scheduled and removed my old furnace and A C unit and all exposed duct work and replaced them with a high efficiency 3 ton 16 SEER AC and 95% efficient gas furnace.  The workers were simply outstanding. At one point in time there were five or six employees working on various phases of the installation.  It was necessary to remove part of an interior wall to obtain access to the equipment located in a crawl space.  This was done with minimum mess which was cleaned up immediately. The entire job was completed within one day. The workers were professional, friendly, polite and cleaned up thoroughly when the job was completed.  I can't  compliment them enough they did an outstanding job answered all my questions and explained how the system operated. I was assured that wall which had to be opened would be restored to original condition and in fact it was a few days later.   What I had expected would be a challenging experience turned out to be snap!  Thank you Rapid Repair Experts for a job well done!  If I could give a score better than Perfect I would.                 Highly Recommended

I had a hvac leak in an expansion tube.  Cost was $919 + $89(service call).  Tech said majority of cost was materials.  Only materials were 410a refrigerent & enough solder to cover a 1/4 pipe.  System holds 229 ounces or 14.3 lbs.  Tech was onsite 3.5 hours.  If majority of cost was materials then giving them the minimal cost on such would be $919 * 51% = $468 / 14.3lbs = $32.77/lb for 410a.  Whereas it's $4.40/lb on amazon resulting in a 740% markup.  If tech was mistaken & majority of cost was labor, again giving them minimal cost assuming 51% of fee was labor, then $919 * 51% = $468 / 3.5hrs = $133/hr labor cost.  Either way there is extreme markup here.  On the plus side, they're open 24/7, they were able to come out within 4hrs of my call, they showed up withing the 2hr scheduled window, the tech was professional & courteous, & my a/c now works.

$89 to send someone out for a diagnostic that can't be applied towards the job?! That's crazy, extremely poor and customer unfriendly business model. To all of you up and coming handy people/contractors, Rapid Repair has opened the door wide open for you to take share from them.

They charged way too much to swap a couple of defective boards. They were supposed to call me this past Monday to schedule a time to fix a leak but never heard from them. Thankfully I found someone else that did excellent work. The technicians boss kept trying to sell me on their monthly plan so I would get a discount on repairs. $10 a month or $125 a year if paid in full for a 10% discount on overpriced repairs. He didnt seem to care about actually fixing my ac. The new person I found diagnosed my leak and replaced the entire valve rather than trying to replace a single capillary line. He wanted $883 to replace a single capillary line, vacuum the system, and add freon. My new person replaced the valve with the line attached, vacuumed the system, and added freon for $550. I will NEVER use this company again. All they care about is selling you their $10 a month service plan. They do not care about actually taking care of their customers. The sales person (tech's boss) I spoke on the phone with kept changing numbers while I was speaking with him. Not a good salesperson at all. Come out to my house, find the issue, and give me a price to fix it. SIMPLE. I dont want to spend money every month with your company. I am adding a 2nd star because they came out quickly when I called and the tech was super nice. The tech really wanted to help me but didn't handle dealing with brazing leaks. I wish he would have known to just replace the valve and not have to worry about brazing or replacing the capillary line.

*edit* Of course a canned response from the owner that doesnt address actual concerns. Overcharging, pushed too hard trying to get me to pay monthly for service, didn't call me back to set up a time, wanted to fix a capillary line the other HVAC company said would be impossible and stupid to do since the valve replaces all of them and the part was cheap. I would suggest finding a small company that cares about customers compared to selling monthly plans.

Called and said they would be here from 3-5, same day.  They never showed or called to tell us they couldn't make it.  New person from the same company called me the next day to schedule an appointment with no knowledge of ever calling me or setting up a time.  What makes me think they'll show up to do the job?  The calls were odd, too.. rehearsed and cold.  I don't want that from an AC guy.  I want Bob from down the street fixing my AC, ya know?  There was quite an untrustworthy feeling on both of the calls.

I need to get my AC replaced for my 2nd floor.  I am working from home right now so it is very hectic.  Rapid Repair came out to give me a quote and the guy stayed for a long time even though I was on work calls - all I wanted was the quote.  He wants to go in and sit down at the table - I explained again...I am on calls.  He gives me quotes - then like a used car salesman says let me call my manager to see if we can get a better price.  Then he pressures me to commit to getting it done the following day as they have an opening which would reduce the price further.  He also stated they only had Goodman units. Also - I told him I was going to pay cash and he kept trying to talk me into financing a unit.  It was a really high pressure sales situation - I don't buy vehicles like this and I am damn sure not going to buy an AC unit like this.  Very uncomfortable inefficient use of my time.

We called this morning about a refrigerator water valve. The expert on the phone was great! He talked my boyfriend through the finding the valve without a problem. No need to visit our house and no charge to us. This was a quick and courteous interaction during a very stressful morning!

We'll happily call them again for our repair needs. THANK YOU!

I can't say enough good things about this company. My AC unit finally died. It stopped working during the hottest days of the summer (of course)...in the middle of July 2017. I took my time to look for a reputable company to repair or replace my old unit. Well, after an assessment, it was no surprise to learn that the old unit was DONE. But how smart am I to have found such a wonderful group of professionals. I left my contact information through the company's website on a Saturday night. I received a call back on Sunday. I made an appointment to have them come to assess my AC system on Wednesday and my brand new unit was installed on Friday. The reason that I did not opt for Thursday is because I was at work all day and was not available for the service.
The pricing was reasonable. The payment arrangement was great for what I could do. Tim Pollock assessed my unit and could not have been more gracious while working with me in my very uncomfortably HOT HOUSE. But Thanks to Tim, Jose, Santos, and Jon Carlos - My house is most-comfortable. I can actually invite people over now (in comfort). Great job guys. I would highly recommend Rapid Repair Experts.

So I have an older house with tons of issues.  Sarah was at our home the other day to do some plumbing and well work for us.  She was great!!  So knowledgeable and nice.  She was really on top of things and I was so pleased!  Today Rusty has been here working on our HVAC issues.  I have 3 units, all older.  He has been amazing!  He's found and fixed several duct issues we didn't know we had and is currently taking a look at our oldest, most temperament unit. I can't stress enough how wonderful they have been. I would definitely recommend Rapid Repair Experts to anyone needing plumbing or HVAC work.  They also have electricians in their bag of tricks and I would be willing to bet that they are just as good!

We just moved into our new (to us) house and at 10:30pm the sewer overflows into our powder room on newly finished hardwood floors. Not good. Being new to the area I could only rely on Yelp reviews. And so I found Rapid Repair. I called and within 10 minutes Maynard called me back, and was on site in another 20 minutes. His demeanour was highly respectful, careful and knowledgeable. He did what we thought we needed to solve the problem, snaking the sewer, only to find a major blockage. How this didn't come up in the sellers disclosure is anyone's guess because there's no doubt the previous owners would have known about it. But that's for another story.

So after trying all sorts of things with no luck, at about 3am Maynard realised he'd done all he could for now and promised to be back the next day. He came back around 11:30am with the right gear, located the pipe outside and started digging. After a couple of hours he found the cause of the problem. Whoever installed the sprinkler system had broken the sewer and made a poor repair which attracted roots that filled the sewer completely - in fact it was a 3ft long root ball. He found that the sprinkler system was leaning on the sewer as well. Sadly for us, as the day progressed he found more and more wrong, including the main water feed coming into the house being cracked. He worked until 9pm digging and repairing, and left us with the sewer and water connected to come back and fix the remaining items the next day, which was done in a few hours.

All through the experience Maynard advised and showed what he found, checking that we wanted to pay to fix it. He even located the main water shutoff on our property which was buried under 6 inches of mulch. He also installed a sprinkler shutoff which should have been there to meet code, and a sewer inspection point outside for easy access.

Maynard prioritized getting the job done so that we had a usable house, and connected and disconnected the water and sewer a few times so we could use it. He was completely professional, thorough, courteous and informative. His knowledge was high and I would use him again in a heartbeat. While this was ultimately an expensive repair, I'm a handy guy and I know it was done right and won't cause a problem again.

I would highly recommend to any one. Highly professional both the tech (Don) that came to work on my unit as well as the tech on the phone (Lincoln). Offered me coupons to help with the cost without me ever asking for them, and spent hours at my house fixing my problem and ensuring me and my family were comfortable. Great company, will use them as long as I live in them Raleigh area!!!

No issues in response and timing.  They contacted me back and were able to get out there on the same day.  My tenant had a hot water heater that he had to keep resetting every time they used the hot water.  The tech called me and first tried to sell me their overall service that covers HVAC, plumbing and electrical.  Fine I get it - they're in business to make money but didn't need that.  Next he tells me that there is something electrical inside the hot water heater that there is no way to get to that is causing the issue.  He tells me my only solution is to replace the hot water heater and the quote he gives me is about $2400.  The unit is about 6 years old.  He charges me $95 for the callout and sends me the quote on email.  I do a little googling and find that the most times when a hot water heater needs to be reset continuously its because the thermostat is bad.  So I call another plumbing company - After Hours Plumbing to get another opinion.  Again very responsive and timely.  This tech calls me and says I basically had a bad thermostat - he's replaced it and told the tenant to just check it over the next few days and make sure he's not having to reset it.  Cost was $166 total.  It's been over a week and my tenant has had no issues.  Two complaints with this company - $2400 to replace a 50 gallon water heater is on the high side, and of course the mis-diagnosis.  I will use After Hours Plumbing from now on and will not call this company again.

I was happy with the electrical work that was done but there was apparently either some confusion or dishonesty about the bill. I hope it was the former. Since I was at work, I communicated with him by phone about the work to be done. He quoted me at $135. When I received the invoice the amount came to $175. Since my wife was unaware of the amount we discussed, she agreed to pay this. They seem to do good work but just be careful with your bill.

I have had them out 3 times now and their prices are insane. $90 to get them to the house and then their prices skyrocket. $350 to pop out a toilet and replace the wax ring and that has to be done to check to see if that is what was causing our leak. No guarantee it was even the problem.

The plumber they sent was very nice. But seemed to be limited by the prices the company instructs them to use.

Called them back multiple times as their reviews are so good. But the crazy prices and lack of solid resolution of our issues has been a consistent issue. Will be using a different company from now on.

Rapid Repair Experts did it again. I have to write the review because they earned it. The tech showed up after two hours with mask, shoes cover and gloves. The technician recognized that my unit was under warranted although he can  charged I wouldn't even know. I thank you for being honest and stand behind your works. If you are looking for either replace or repair your AC or heat, please give them a chance. I do not expect you to believe me but I hope that you will take my words and call them. The fee for showing is less than other companies.

My partner and I recently bought a house and needed emergency plumbing services for a leak. We weren't sure who to go with so we checked out Yelp and called a few places. We were happy with our conversation with Maynard and he was at our house within an hour. We couldn't find our water meter and he explored outside with us for a long time until we found it. He was so pleasant to be around and was completely thorough. He found the root of our issue and gave us awesome advice during his visit. They are honest and fair and I'll definitely be using them in the future. 5 stars for sure!

I contacted Rapid Repair Experts to replace a 4.5 year old water heater that went bad, but was fortunately still under warranty.  They arrived the next day at the time they said they would and the repairman immediately diagnosed the issue and confirmed that a new water heater was needed.  He was professional and courteous.  However, the quote I was given for labor was nearly as much as I paid 4.5 years ago for the heater and labor together.  When I questioned the price, it was lowered by $200 and the manager explained why it would cost so much and explained they would price match a lower estimate from another plumber.  I decided to call around and found another plumber who arrived that day with the new heater and did the job in 2 hours.  I ended up paying $400 less than the original quote from this company.  Come on guys - seriously??

I really wanted to 5 star this company but because of the fact that I paid too much and still have the same problem, I can't. My technician was called for a clogged toilet in my home. He arrived on time and was very courteous. However, when I told him what the problem was and what needed to be done he decided to just snake the line instead. I know the reason for the clog because I have this issue every 2 years. The line drained but only temporarily. I paid him $250. Outrageous just to snake a line. Btw, I paid the last plumber the same to dig up landscaping and clear the line (much more work). Anyway, here I am 1 week later and the toilet is clogged again. When I called rapid repair the tech said it's going to be $59 for the call out and additional for whatever work they do. Seriously?! The problem was never fixed just bandaged! I know plumbing is not guaranteed but I didn't flush a horse down the line in a week. Thanks guys. Calling my old plumber now.

We had to have our water supply line replaced the day before Thanksgiving. The quality of the work was fine but I had a big problem with their customer service.

I thought the plumber who did the work was very courteous and explained things well about the process, and he and another guy came out after our utilities were marked to trench our yard and lay the new line on Wednesday (the day before Thanksgiving). He explained that an inspector would need to inspect the work before they could fill in the trench. He told me he had scheduled the inspection for Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) and he would be back to fill in the trench Friday afternoon. I paid them on Wednesday after they completed the work, which I think was my mistake. Friday rolled around and nobody showed up, and I heard nothing from the plumber. I called and left a few messages for the plumber on Friday & Saturday but still didn't hear anything. I investigated on my own and learned that the inspection was actually scheduled for Monday. I understand that some things may be out of the company's control, but do not tell me someone will be out on Friday if you don't know for sure.

After the Inspector showed up on Monday and passed the inspection, I called the plumber who said he'd put me on the schedule for Tuesday to fill in the trench. Tuesday comes and goes and nobody shows up and I hear nothing from the plumber about needing to reschedule. I called and left a message again and an emergency tech calls me back to say that they would get me on the schedule for Wednesday, but if the plumber had been more communicative with them that they could have come out on Tuesday to fill it in.

Finally on Wednesday the plumber came out to fill in the trench - after it had been sitting open for a week with below freezing temps at night over the weekend so I had to run water to keep the pipe from freezing.

Maybe it was my fault for trying to communicate more directly with the plumber instead of calling the office, but I just thought the situation could have been handled a lot better. I felt extremely put out by the whole situation and had to constantly call to see when things were happening/what was going on because nobody was communicating with me. Also it was extremely off-putting that everybody was telling me different things (when I was contacted on Wednesday morning and I asked why someone couldn't come out on Tuesday they said they had been booked solid - contrary to what their emergency tech had said the night before. During that same call I was hung up on multiple times while someone was trying to transfer me to the plumbing manager). The company just seems poorly managed in my opinion.

I would not recommend Rapid Repair Experts to a friend, nor will I be calling them again for plumbing services.

Had a guy come out in August to give me a quote to completely replace the AC and furnace on my 2nd floor. He did his thing, we had a chat, seemed like a nice guy, said he couldn't give me a quote immediately as his laptop was dead. Fair enough. Told me to expect it either over the weekend or on the Monday.

No quote was forthcoming. I followed up 3 times over the next few weeks to try and get the quote. Finally, to give one last opportunity before I wrote a review, I called 2 weeks ago and was told the technician would call me back that day. Not surprisingly I heard nothing. I can only assume that the tech is assuming this job isn't worth his time as he'll make more elsewhere.

Really wanted it to work out with these guys. I know a couple of guys who know the owner/manager and they have alot of good things to say about him. Unfortunately I can't even get a quote.

For a couple years Rapid would come to help keep our old AC & Furnace going, with no pressure to replace our AC or gas Furnace. However,  on Friday it was time to replace both (crack in furnace). Two days later Rapid brought a team of 6 great guys (2 crews) to clear all the very old stuff in the crawl space, do the installs, add a great air filter system and complete new duct work. Their team was so great from the initial meeting with Tim to the team leader Danny right on down to each of the young men who did the hard work. All were knowledgeable, friendly and polite. We already knew Rapid was trustworthy, but now we know first hand what a great process they have in place for installations. Everything was completed in one day (except one followup appt) even though they said it could take up to two days.  We received amazing customer service and fair pricing from Rapid and we obviously highly recommend them!

Called or HVAC annual service and Jason came out to do the job. He was the most thorough, helpful, and professional home service worker I've encountered in the area. Super thorough and answered all of my many questions. He even found unrelated plumbing issues that I definitely need to address, but did not get pushy to use their company at all. Thank you. I'll update soon and I have already received a quote from them on that job, unlike the three other highly rated plumbing companies here that never called back or show up when they said they would.

We had a leak beneath the water basin in one of our bath rooms. I posted a request for a repair service on Angie's List and got a quick response from Rapid Repair and was able to make an appointment for the next day.  The repairman (Brandon Cash) showed on time and determined a new lift rod pop-up bathroom drain ($37.99 at Lowes) was required which he did not have with him. He acquired one from Lowes and installed it fairly quickly. I am pleased with the the Rapid Repair promptness and Brandon's repair work, but consider the $333.34 cost too high for such a simple job.

Still the best folks in town! We had our first biannual HVAC service after Rapid Repair installing our HVAC system in June. The tech was great, super through, knew the system like the back of his hand, and very professional.  Rapid Repair called us to remind us to set an appointment (which was nice...around the holidays who has time to think about the last time you had your HVAC serviced?) and they had several available times. The tech also called on his way over so even though it was a two hour window, we could narrow down when to be available. Don was great (as are all the people Rapid Repair has ever sent) and we continue to be thrilled with our HVAC system.

Do NOT call this company if you have an emergency that could cause damage to your home and property. We called Rapid Repair on Saturday evening 05/01 for a serious emergency involving water leaking into our kitchen and living room, causing damage to our floors. We were bailing water with containers - for several hours. Their on-call plumber did call us immediately and instructed us to shut off the city water meter. He was on the phone with us when we told him we could not get the city water off. He said it would be a while before he could come. Because we had water pouring into our kitchen and then into the street because he told us to turn the outside faucet to re-route some of the water coming into the house, we had to call the emergency city water department. The city's technician came within an hour and shut off the water - and advised us we would not have been able to do it on our own. This review is written 12 hours after we first called Rapid Repair. Its emergency technician never showed up, never called back, and never texted us to see if we got the water stopped in our house. We also did not call another plumber because we thought we had one from Rapid Repair coming that was already going to charge us for an emergency call.

Just want to update on the owners response. There is no accountability for what happened at our house. There was no charge for the water heater being frozen because it was still under warranty , our house is less than 1 year old and this item was under warranty still. Yes, the vents were left open we are new home owners and we're not aware this was a precaution that we needed to take. If the irrigation the pipe was broken/ cracked then it would have been leaking before they came and it was not. Regardless they were not there to mess with our irrigation meter but our water heater! Everything that was done following the broken pipe was not a FAVOR to us let's get that straight! It was your obligation due to the issue that was at hand, so however times you had to come back to fix it for free for it to be how you met it then that's what needed to be done. Things could have definitely been handled better, and as a customer it is my right to give my honest review on the situation that happened to us. I understand as a business owner you want to save your reputation, but if this issue wahandles in a more professional way, I would have never wrote an unpleasant review in the first place.

I just can't with this place anymore. I'm so frustrated. They installed a new ac unit. Well it didn't pass inspection time and time again and guess what, still hasn't passed inspection months later. The state inspector smells gas, very comforting for a new mom of a 2 month old. Their manager was going to come look at it, I had the appointment for a week, and he cancelled on me an hour before. I rearranged my schedule for his appointment but I guess his time is more valuable than mine. He said he would call me to reschedule and it's been a month and I still haven't heard from him.
The worst part is the brand new ac unit leaked water  from my attic all over my walk in closet and ruined a bunch of clothes and dry cleaning and the paint on the bedroom wall. My bedroom wall has huge water marks and is so ugly.
Maybe even worse than that is the AC unit doesn't work properly! It is currently 80 degrees upstairs. When I told them last Friday of the issue she was going to send somebody. I told her I wouldn't be home from Fayetteville until 6:30 (we got home at 6:15) and the guy had already came. So all weekend with improper ac. Today is Monday, I called after 4:30 and their answering service, Joanne was so incredibly rude to me . I couldn't understand her because she was talking too fast after asking her to repeat herself twice I kindly asked her to slow down because I couldn't understand her. She so exaggerated talking so slow and condescending. I couldn't believe it!

UPDATE:  After less than 2 months since the New AC was installed, it is deader than a proverbial doornail today.  This is going to be a really fun week having to deal with these folks again.  On the plus side, I'll be able to test the new systems the owner has supposedly put into place again.

----------
Rapid Repair Experts is neither Rapid nor are they Repair Experts.

The AC went out in my house on a Sunday.  I called and the technician said it would probably be Monday before they would be able to get out there.

It is an 11 year old AC and has probably had very little maintenance in that time.  The compressor would come one for a little bit and then the fan would stop and there would be a hissing noise.  I had taken a video so I could show the technician.

The first technician came out and cleaned the compressor, felt cool air and declared victory and moved on.  However just 2 hours later, it was the exact same behavior... took another video.

Called Rapid Repair and explained that they had failed to repair my AC and I needed another service call so that they could actually, well, you know... REPAIR the system as they were supposed to.  They said they couldn't do that without approval from my landlord since it would be an after hours call.  I said that since the first technician didn't fix it properly, that shouldn't be on my landlord, that is on them and they needed to deal with the fact that they had FAILED to fix the AC properly the first time.

Finally get approval to get someone out there after hours.  The technician came in and this time pronounced the compressor dead -- put a bullet in it and put it out of its misery (while, with indoor temperatures over 80 degrees at 10:00 pm, I was still QUITE miserable).  He said that he sent an estimate over to my property management company and that once that was approved, they would reschedule the work.

Don't need to have a PhD in Math to realize that we were now at least 2 days out from getting an actual repair scheduled:  1 day to get the estimate approved, at LEAST 1 day to get the repair scheduled due to this being the middle of summer and hot as all get out...

Call my property management company the next day over lunch to inquire about the status of approving the repair request.  They said they hadn't gotten any repair estimate from Rapid Repair.  While I was on the phone, they actually called Rapid Repair who said they would email over the repair estimate at that point.  So.... half another half a day wasted.

Finally, the repair estimate gets approved at 8:00 am the next morning and is supposedly sent over to Rapid Repair.  Despite their hours supposedly being 8:30 - 4:30 -- NO ONE from Rapid Repair EVER answers their phone... it goes over to an answering service.  The answering service is useless and can only take messages which I assume goes to /dev/null (recycle bin) because NO ONE from Rapid Repair EVER returns phone calls...

At this point, I'm on day 5 without my AC and no end in sight.  I can't cook or do laundry in the house because that only makes the house hotter.

As everyone mentioned, the technicians are nice and polite.  However, the 2nd technician even admitted that if you dared to show the slightest whiff of displeasure at the delicate snowflakes that work at Rapid Repair, they will punish you by making wait a bit to actually schedule your request.  Never mind the fact that after you have taken a day off of work, had one technician completely misdiagnose the issue and waste 1.5 days of my life and made customers suffer in the peak of NC heat... it would take the patience of Gandhi to not get a bit ticked off.

Granted, my wait was complicated by the fact that it was a rental so they are doing business with the property management company so that adds a layer of complexity.  However, Rapid Repair also knows that they can shunt me to the bottom of the priority list because the business is guaranteed and not like I can go someplace else unless I want to pay out of pocket.

These people have TERRIBLE customer service skills, TERRIBLE mismanagement of work orders, and TERRIBLE diagnostic skills.  I can't think of a think that would make me recommend them for anything other than wasting your time and money.

The technician was very patient In answering all my husband's questions. They called ahead and showed up on time. They didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need.

Wow. Such great reviews on Yelp and we had a bad experience. I'm so disappointed. After two visits, we have no resolution to our very minor problem and we now have a hole in the ceiling that we never needed since the problem was a simple leaky toilet. Plumbers are very nice but I'd gladly take a rude plumber who gets the job done right the first time. Live and learn.

Is there a DIFFERENT Rapid Repair in this area? What they did to me doesn't even deserve ONE (1) star! NEGATIVE TEN (10) stars is more accurate.

FIVE (5) I repeat FIVE (5) DAYS to replace my small water heater/restore hot water/heat. February 2017.

Twenty-four (24) hours after water heater blew to even SHOW UP! Brought WRONG water heater first time. Three (3) days (from call date) NO heat or ANY water...................no flushing toilet, no shower, no clean dishes. Four (4) days until I got hot water. FIVE (5) full days NO HEAT in FEBRUARY.  Nobody cared at their office.

Here's the kicker..................TWO (2) code violations that they have to come BACK for!

There goes ANOTHER FIVE (5) days of my life!

I would BET MONEY the rave reviews here are COMPLETELY BOGUS!!!!!!!

Incredible service!! We had an issue with our dryer, after moving into a new house. Fortunately, Steve Base was sent out as our technician and he was absolutely incredible. Not only extremely knowledgeable, fast and courteous but just is a really nice person! We couldn't be happier and will utilize Rapid Repair whenever needed again. Always ask for Steve!!!

The first time I used Rapid Repair Experts the job they did was superb. The tech even took the door off my dishwasher and fixed the wiring on the soap dish when that wasn't even part of the call. I paid the usual set fee and was told that fee was to be applied to any work done. First visit A+ and a good value.

Second time Rapid Repair visited me they said they wouldn't do that with the initial fee applied to the work. But they said that after the work was done. In this case the repair was easy. It took Brandon 15 minutes to replace a $5 part in my toilet. He charged me $200 for this.

That's it for Rapid Repair. No more business from me unless they rectify this. Is it really their policy to screw people on small jobs?

Highly Recommend!! I am so excited to write a rave review for Rapid Repair Experts and the work they did on my parents home.  My parents returned from a vacation to find out that their main water line was broken and there was no water coming into the house.  It was about 5:30 pm, and most places were closed.

Rapid Repair experts was responsive and at our home within 45 minutes (they even made multiple followup calls from the manager to ensure the repairman called and arrived on time). The price of the work was super reasonable vs the other repair company who wanted to charge 10 times what these guys did.

All said and done - quality work, done quickly even in an emergency, and affordable pricing.  I hope there are no repairs needed soon, but if there are, these guys will be our first phone call.
