PlumbV is amazing, and we've used them twice now. First, we had them install our bathroom plumbing when we finished our basement and they did a great job. The second time, we still had their number around for when a shower in another part of the house wouldn't turn off. When we called them, they were responsive and very understanding. They made room for us, and were at our house quickly with the exact right part to fix the problem. Each time, the person they sent was professional and extremely knowledgeable. On top of that, their rates are extremely fair.

Don't have anything to add to what's already been said, but I'll echo the other reviews.  Matt was right on time, professional and friendly.  Even took the little bit of trash he had out with him when he left.  As far as price, I don't have a lot of experience choosing plumbers so I can't really comment, but it seemed reasonable to me.  I'll definitely call them again, if I need to.

Very reasonably priced, helpful, friendly and on time.  Didn't even charge for looking at a couple of issues because they turned out to be very easy fixes, just charged for the toilet repair which was quick yet attentive to detail. I definitely recommend Matt and PlumbV.

Mat is the best he backs up his work and I always look forward to having an honest plumber who works hard to make the customer happy ! I Have a very large house and Mat never looks at those jobs and charges more . .. thanks Mat....mike Pritchard honest too.... He is a great guy to have working for you went beyond the job stands behind his service Recomened and my cousins were plumbers so I know a few things !

Full disclosure-this review isn't about PlumbV's service necessarily but professionalism. I was behind one of their trucks for 12 miles as he weaved in and out of traffic on US 70 and Glenwood Avenue and was driving at least 15/20 MPH over the speed limit. I guess that's why all the weaving was going on. Every time traffic (which was heavy) would slow down, he would change to another lane. Maybe if he wasn't trying to be speed racer during rush hour, he wouldn't have to do that. Like I said, I've never used their plumbing services but any company that acts like risking the lives of others on the road is justified to go fish something out of someone's drain would make me have second thoughts about using them.

Matt and Plumb V are the bombdiggity. They've done a few jobs for my business over the years and are always prompt and professional. Today they blew me away though. I had a ceiling tile collapse in a bathroom due to a leaky pressure tank. My regular handyman failed to show. I called Plumb V. Texted Matt a picture of the problem and he was there within two hours with the part and fixed the problem. Thanks.

We've used PlumbV many times over the last several years and have been very happy every time they've been here.  We've had both Matt (the owner) and members of his team out to the house for various repairs and have found everyone to be prompt, courteous and above all, conscientious about cost and solving the problem correctly, the first time.  We've had faucets and toilet parts replaced,  various miscellaneous plumbing issues resolved, a new laundry sink/vanity installed and an emergency main sewer line replacement (after a landscaper drove a stake through our sewer line causing every sink and toilet to back up with water).  When our master bath jetted tub had a stripped faucet handle that would no longer turn the water on or off, Matt immediately identified the problem and even though the faucet was 10 years old and we're not the original homeowners so we had no idea what model faucet it was, Matt called the manufacturer himself and worked with them to figure out the correct part that was needed and returned to replace it for a reasonable charge.  We'd used several plumbers from the triangle area before we tried PlumbV so we know what's out there and I can tell you it ain't always pretty!  PlumbV is the only plumber we'll call from now on.

Replaced a shower handle and cartridge for a shower that would not turn all the way off.  Service was capable if a bit unfriendly, and a day later than we were originally told.  At $275, the charge seemed high to me.  When I asked how it broke down the technician said the cartridge alone cost $75, but every model from that manufacturer that I find on line sells for less than $50 and in some cases considerably less.  The invoice he subsequently sent me did not break down the cost by parts and labor, just a single charge of $275.  Got the job done, but I would not use again.

Friendly service from Richard. Two new shower valves and trim kits function just fine, but I do not recommend PlumbV due to the fact that the tub spout they installed is totally crooked and looks bad. The base plate that should sit flush with the shower wall has a gap of three-eighths  of an inch on one side (that's how crooked the spout is coming out of the wall!). Nothing is perfect, so one-eighth or so would be acceptable-- but three-eighths? That's a big gap on one side and a very crooked spout. Visually, it just looks bad.

I recommend going with a company that has more of an eye for detail with these kinds of things that you expect to be pretty exact (or close to it).

Unfortunately, the Management Team at PlumbV doesn't seem to value their customers any longer, so I'm done with them. Note that most of the positive reviews reference Matt Vanderwalker, the former owner / creator of PlumbV - he's no longer there and it shows.

I previously provided a 5 Star review, but have removed it because current management refuses to come correct an installation they did that never worked correctly. (Note: it has been a long time since they did the installation, but they don't refute that they botched the installation and they won't even consider coming to investigate without insisting that I pay them full price for a repair, even though nothing has broken)

I have spent a huge sum of money with them and worked with them for over a year on a full renovation of my house. It's sad to end this relationship, but that's the decision of the new management.

I scheduled a free estimate for last week with them and day of they informed me it wouldn't be free. I took off work to be here for this appointment so at the very least they could have told me at least a day in advance if they wanted to change the price and charge me. So they wasted my time and the whole thing felt like a scam, I would not recommend.

I called PlumbV at 11:30 about a main sewer line blockage.  They said they had a cancellation and could come between 2:00 and 4:00.  Got a call about half an hour later from Matthias to see if they could come sooner.  That was fine by me.  They came and had the problem fixed in less than 45 minutes.  High praise to Todd and Matthias for professional service and for making the schedule work well for me and, presumably, for them.

Given my experience, I asked if I could be reimbursed the diagnostic fee and was told I would get a call back from the manager.  It has been weeks and still no call.

Had a great experience with PlumbV and Matt! He got to my house within a couple days (other plumbers asked for weeks of time), and expertly diagnosed the problem, and total cost was far less than I was expecting, due to the stuff he figured out! Excellent dude/company!

Best plumber I've ever had! Was very professional, on time, and prices were very fair. I would highly recommend PlumbV and will continue to use them for years to come.

Had leak on our side of meter, somewhere in front yard. Matt arrived on time (within 24 hours of my original call), found the exact location of leak, and did the repair at a fair price.  Best experience with plumber that I have ever had in Chapel Hill. Highly recommended.

We g it as William come out Amoy detach a tub but the cost ended up being to high. William totally understood and they gave me tricks and tips to do it on my own. I was so appreciative that he gave me this info.

I cannot recommend this plumber highly enough.  Matt's diagnostic skills bordered on the magical.  I'd call him the Dr. House of plumbing but the pun is too obvious.  After a disappointing encounter with another plumber we called Matt.  He figured out a systemic issue and skillfully and quickly attended to it.  He fixed the problem honestly and efficiently without looking for ways to jack up the price.  Look no further; this is your go-to plumber.

I had used this company previously with excellent results, I called them to fix a sewer backup and they were so horribly disorganized and discombobulated in the office I sadly would never use them again. Too long to detail all the issues but suffice it to say AFTER completing the work and paying for it, 3 days later I got a call saying they were ready to schedule my job.
