John Farr is an excellent plumber and craftsman. I give him my highest recommendation.  Not only was he profoundly professional but he is also tremendously honest. By accident i wrote him a check for too much money. Without me even asking he wrote me a check for the difference and i had it within 3 days.
He is the kind of expert you want working for your family. Totally trustworthy.

I want to HIGHLY recommend JOHN FARR for all your pluming and DOB issues. I found him in google after another Plumer screw me over and John was definitely a savior. He was honest, committed, efficient and very knowledgeable. His price are reasonable and the best part was that anytime I needed him he was there answering my emails and text with any question I had ( 1st time dealing w/ the Department of Buildings) My family is extremely thankful for his awesome work. Don't hesitate and call him, if you need someone that doesn't go around the bushes, his your guy.

We were so delighted to have found John, the owner of John Farr Plumbing and Heating. There was a water leak from the ceiling due to boiler. It was almost 5pm and most of the plumbing company are already closed. But John not only answered my call but diagnosed and walked through very patiently over the leaks and boiler issues. He has not only fixed the problem but he also ensure the issue is resolved completely, He is by FARR the best plumber out there. Someone who is patient, kind and honest like a family friend who is expert at what he does. He does mostly violations removal but if his schedule allows, he will definitely provide his professional help. Don't hesitate to give him a call.

He did it! I called several architects trying to get a permit to add a shower to my recreation room. I got several call backs saying a permit couldn't be issued for the work it wasn't allowed. I got 1 call back from an architect who told me I should check with a master plumber that it would be more cost effective than  an architect but he was also doubtful that a permit could be obtained for the project. I found Mr Farr's listing on Craigslist and I gave him a call. He's excellent! He came assessed the area gave me an estimate and time frame and it was a smooth process and wrapped up on time. My work is complete my permit was approved and my job is legal. I highly recommend his services it's very refreshing to meet a professional who is honest. He didn't try to upsell me. He explained the entire process and I learned some valuable information. 5 STARS!

John was very detailed from the first time we spoke.  He told me he would be here in a matter of 30 minutes on his first visit and that was exactly the amount it took him to get to my home.  He saw what was causing the problem, gave us (meaning my husband and I) instructions on what needed to be done until his next visit, in which he would come to fix the problem with the leaking hot water.  The next time he came to the house he fixed the problem quickly.  He was very clear and a nice man.  He did all the necessary work and gave me advice, as well as a good price.  I would definitely call him again.

We had DOB violations in our basement and were cheated by our first plumber who never filed for the job. John was referred to by a friend and we hired him to file for work permit. He was absolutely phenomenal
from day 1. He did everything in time, got the work permit in as he promised within the timeframe. He kept me informed with the updates in regards to violations. He is definitely very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. I highly recommend him because he is very sincere and an honest person.

We hired John Farr to resolve a violation with an old/unused bathroom.  We are extremely happy with his work. His price quote was not the lowest but it was quality work so it was definitely worth it. John was spot on on everything he promised to deliver.  He showed up on time for the initial appointment, applied and got the permit approved within few weeks, mediated the discharge and water pipes and signed off on the job. The Dept of Buildings finally approved the certificate of correction today. John was good in explaining everything to me and I was confident he was able to resolve this long dragged out violation.  John is a true professional who kept to his words - a very rare quality in this field based on my past experiences.

I made arrangements with him to come over and do a plumbing job which was contingent upon other contracting work being done that day. He never showed up, after I called and left a message inquiring about his whereabouts, he calls back and leaves me voice mail saying he is sorry he should have called the night prior, but his car is stuck in the snow and he cannot get it out for a week. Schools were open and kids were able to get to school, but this dude can't get to work. I had to scramble with an hour to spare to get someone to come do the job prior to the demolition of the kitchen.

I called John Farr because he did work for my house years ago.  When I called this time because I had a plumbing issue with another plumber, John Farr Plumbing and H Corp.  helped immediately and even made a phone call to the other plumbing company.  Then he called me just to make sure the issue was being taken care of.    It is great that after so many years later there is still a reliable company that still exist.

Don't hire this company. I call them for an estimate and the first thing this person said: I wont spent 20 minutes here explaining what to do if you don't pay me $ 100.00. I reply : I will pay you but I need to know first whether you are capable to fix these problems or not. He answered: I don't know and he walked away saying; wait for my call. All he wanted was the quick money. Really unprofessional, arrogant , racist? may be. I understand that like any profession some people is more specialized than others like in medicine; not all physicians can make brain surgery or robotic surgery etc. There are plumbers for toilets, sinks only and others for big projects. Be careful when you pick up your next plumber; READ THE REVIEWS, check how many reviews the person has, read the personality ,  body language, sense the integrity otherwise you will be caught. this company is a NO, NO. NO NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John was referred to me by an engineer that I've been working with to clear my violation. He was a very nice guy, did all the necessary things that he said he would do, very informative and he gave me lots of good advice. I would definitely call him again if I ever have a plumbing issue.

Came over to fix a broken pipe. Got it done quickly and showed up when he said. Works for me!

Had a pipe break. Called John and he called back asap. Arrived at the time he said he would and did a great job helping me out. I would def call him back. Very nice guy.

I called John about moving a gas line in my apartment. After talking to a number of plumbers, John was the only guy who gave me a clear, honest, straightforward answer.  And even though he couldn't help me (it's an unfixable situation)--his advice saved me perhaps thousands of dollars. So thanks, John. You not only saved me money, you saved me endless grief!

John Fixed what wasn't working with a simple inexpensive fix when 3 plumbers we had in before him charged us an arm and a leg and didn't fix the problem.  
This guy has honesty integrity and knowledge about his business - we highly recommend this plumber.

My house had gas leak by the gas meter and I called National Grid and they temporarily fixed the problem and gave me 5 days to get a plumber for permenant fix. I called the plumber accross my house right away on Monday morning before going to work. He came saw the problem and said he might need to get a permit, will let me know the next day. Next morning I go, he still did not call, tells me he will give me estimate Wednesday.
Wednesday, he came to check the leak one more time and told me the whole gas line needs to change and the cost would be $3000. I told him just fix the problem, don't create additional work. I told him to give me time to decide and came home and logged on internet to find other plumbers in the area.

Thank God I came across A Farr Plumbing and after reading the reviews I gave him a call. John, the owner, came two hours later to see the problem.
He said it can be fixed without changing the full gas line and told me he will call me the next morning to give his estimate . John called me next morning and said he will fix it for $650. I was happy with his price, and  we agreed for him to come at 8 in the morning Monday. He called Sunday to confirm it again and Monday morning at 7:45, he was at my door. He finished the problem in three hours and later on showed me what was done and walked me through the gas appliances to make sure that they were working.
After John left, I called National Grid for reinspection, they came and said all was fine. The other plumber was saying that he had to test 90% pressure test and that it wont hold, well John did all those tests and it is fine, but also informed me that additional problem might arise while fixing but thank god, nothing happened.

John is a professional guy, I will always call him for any plumbing problems. I also recommended him to my friends. The other plumber saw me this morning and asking me if I got a good estimate from A Farr Plumbing because he must have seen the van in my drivway, I just said much lower than yours and it is all fine nowand walked away.
