Terrible-

I am a General Contractor and work with trades all the time.  I called Grand Jude to give an estimate on a customers project.  The receptionist set an appointment and told me that if it didn't work with Frank (the owner)  she would call to reschedule.  After driving from Youngstown to Williamsville to meet with him (50 mins each way)  he never showed.  after waiting 30 minuets I called the office and the woman asked me to reschedule.  

Bottom Line-  Absolutely Terrible-  This company wasted 3 Hrs of my time and couldn't care less

We used Grand Jude a few months back for water in the basement when no other plumber would even answer our calls or told us it would be 48+ hours. I called them late at night after the scheduled company called at 10pm to tell us they weren't coming as promised and that it would be at least 5pm the next day until they could reschedule us. Grand Jude came the next morning by 8am, did the job, and the price was very reasonable. I called them today due to flooding in the basement. It took them two hours to get here because of flooded roads, however, once here they explained how the issue wasn't with our line. Even though there wasn't anything they could do and they weren't charging me, they took the time to tell me who to call and took me outside to show/explain the issue. I truly appreciate the time they took...they are our only plumber from now on.

Absolutely terrible. I had Frank Jr. come out to my place to give me an estimate on adding a washer/dryer in my hall closet next to my bathroom. He told me he was able to do the job and should be able to complete it the following week (gave me a rough estimate of $2,000, which was a great price). He told me in order to get an accurate estimate, it would be much easier if the bathroom was torn out and if I bought the specific washing machine that I would be using in there. So I did both of those things within a couple days. Frank came back a second time to confirm he could do the job, which was great! He told me he'd have an estimate that night for me. Long story short, a week and a half later after MANY calls to his office and texts to his cell phone, I am told that he doesn't have time to complete my job and therefore doesn't have any estimate. Absolutely ridiculous! What type of plumber tells a customer that he can confidently complete the job and for the customer to tear out a bathroom and to buy a washing machine so that they can move forward with everything when in reality, nothing is going to happen?? A bad and unprofessional plumber, that's who. If he didn't have time, maybe he could have mentioned that from the start?? Maybe shouldn't have ever come out to give an estimate??

The other thing... I had 6 other plumbers come over to look at the same project. Every single one of them couldn't understand how Frank was going to do what he said he could do. So that tells you that they are not only unprofessional, but they don't know what they are talking about either (which is why I believe he backed out and screwed me over). Not even the head town plumbing inspector could believe that this happened.

Don't tell someone you can complete something if you can't. It's pretty simple.

My mother's condo needed the kitchen sink and the bathroom sink drain cleaned out. They sent 2 men and charged her for 4 hours of work...to clean 2 drains. She called to question the bill and they said they always send 2 men and then proceeded to hang up on her. Absolutely horrible customer service.

Grand Jude used to be the place I would call years ago.  I have called on 3 separate occasions over the past 6 months to get work done.  The first time, they never returned my call.  The second time they returned my call and set up an appointment, except they never showed.  I called when there was a no show and they said I must have gotten the times mixed up.  Set up a second appointment.  No show.  

I gave them one last chance and they never called back, but they did check the problem out (it was in the street).  I never would have known who they were or that they stopped by if I wasn't running out at that time.  He said I would get an estimate the next morning.  I called, no.. estimate will be done on Monday.  Never got a call back.  

No more chances for them.

I called this company to come out to check out an issue I was having. They showed up 2 hours late for my appointment, were not fully prepared with supplies needed to fully explore the issue and once the issue was found stated they'd draw up quote for me with 2 options on how to proceed to fix the issue.  This was on a Friday so I called midway through the following week to see if they had a quote for me ready yet.  Their response was: no quote, they didn't even have notes that i was waiting for a quote and by the way we lost the check you gave us to pay for the service performed.  I told them to look for the check and call me back with the quote. A week later, I called again, still no quote, will get right on it. Still no check.  This went on for a few weeks but I gave them the benefit of the doubt as they came highly recommended to me by a coworker.  Finally a month after the initial appointment, they called because they found my check and asked if i had stopped payment on it yet.  I then asked about this quote I've been waiting on.  Nope, no quote, and the guy that apparently does the quotes is on vacation and for another week and a half. Moving on to someone else, can't wait any longer.  Never Again!

I was out of town on 2/21/15 and I got a call from my two lower apartment tenants, in a six unit building,  They had sewage backing up into their bathtubs from the upper units.  I called several plumbing companies and finally got Roy's Plumbing.  They sent a tech out. The blockage was between the lower units and the boiler room.  He insisted that the only way to fix the problem was to shovel the 4 to 5 foot of snow off the lawn to find the vent, and they couldn't do anything till I get rid of the snow.  I told him you can't leave me like this, there must be another way.  He said shovel the snow and call back, then hung up on me. I won't  even go into how rude they were when I first called to set up the appointment.  I was in a panic, not knowing what to do I called a friend of mine, and he gave me Frank at Grand Jude Plumbing's number.  I explained my problem and they assured me they could do the job.  He explained that they would simply pull a toilet and shoot it from there.  He said that they would be out by 8am to check it for me.  They called me back at 8:45 and said you're all set!!! They just removed the lower toilet and shot the line from there, just like he said on the phone.  It's nice to know that from now on, when I'm not around I have a competent reliable plumbing company that really cares about their customers. Their people in the office are very courteous and easy to work with even though I wasn't there.  The payment was also no problem, a simple credit card number was sufficient.  I will certainly recommend this business any time I can.
